Pop princess Ariana Grande apparently hopes all of her fans ‘f–king die’

wenn21725490

Here are some photos of Ariana Grande in Japan this week. Should I even waste my words on that schoolgirl ensemble? Nope. It makes me uncomfortable, but let’s just leave it at that. Anyway, Ariana is still traveling around the world, promoting her new album. The album is a massive hit. Ariana is our newest pop princess, and it seems like she’s trying to take Justin Bieber’s #1 North American D-Bag mantle. The NYDN had a great piece yesterday about how Ariana really behaves around her fans, members of the press, and basically everybody else.

Pint-sized pop star Ariana Grande had a choice word for fans after a recent radio show visit: Die! Confidenti@l has learned that while visiting a Manhattan radio station this summer, the 21-year-old “Better Left Unsaid” singer should’ve left her thoughts unsaid.

“She did autographs and pics and was all smiles until she got into the elevator,” a stunned industry insider tells us. “And as soon as the doors shut she said, ‘I hope they all f—king die.’ ”

Allegations of Grande’s obnoxious attitude are nothing new. But they’re suddenly getting their own spotlight now that a nasty pattern has emerged. Reports of Grande’s grouchiness surfaced earlier this month at a “Stand up to Cancer” benefit in L.A., where the U.K.’s Daily Star reported she was “a total nightmare” backstage. Event organizers later released a statement defending their celeb guest.

Grande further dissed fans Monday by offering a $495 photo op for fans during her upcoming “Honeymoon Tour,” but stipulated that shoots are for groups of four to six people, not individuals.

“Really?” exclaimed one media industry tipster. “Bieber, Miley, Britney, Katy Perry all did individual pics when they sold these packages.” Reps for Grande declined to comment.

[From The NYDN]

That photo-op thing seems like the biggest waste of money. Justin Bieber (surprise!) has been accused of acting like a douchebag at those fan photo-ops as well, like he’ll show up late, not even speak to the people paying thousands of dollars, and then the people are literally pushed aside once the photo is taken. As for Ariana’s wish that all of her fans would “die” – well, let’s hope that Ariana’s career dies first. Actually, scratch that. I kind of love covering her. We haven’t had this kind of flagrant diva ‘tude since… well, Justin Bieber!

I can’t stand this little brat.

    • Kiddo says:

Hmm, Big head has a big head. I hope all of her fans die off too, although not in the literal sense. I guess she will be in the news every day, like Miley was. When will we accept that Disney is a blight, the anti-christ, metaphorically? They gain trust with these cutsie benign young stars, who reveal themselves to be ego monsters later down the road. (referring more to Bieber than Miley)

      • jaye says:

Lefty’s not a Disney alum, though. Her show was on Nickelodeon. Beiber isn’t a product of the Disney machine, either.

      • AmyR says:

To be fair and spread the blame around, Ariana is a Nickelodeon brat.

      • Kiddo says:

Okay, so Nickelodeon is the culprit. Anything with “nickel’ in it should henceforth be considered atrocious. This should have already been clear with the abomination that is Nickelback. lol

      • mimif says:

Haaaaa you got that one right, Kidzilla. 😀

      • doofus says:

hahaha…Kiddo, there’s a comedian whose name I don’t recall who made a comment to the effect of how nickelback makes him want to hurt other people…like the people in nickelback.

      • Pager90 says:

But isn’t Nickelodeon , Disney owned?

      • Reece says:

@Pager90 *pokes head in late* Nope it’s Viacom…which also owns CBS, MTV, VH1, BET, Comedy Central, Paramount (yep the studio) & I think Showtime or Encore or Epix. Not HBO or Cinemax I know that! 😉

I’ve already stopped commenting on this brat.

      • danielle says:

Its OK arianna. Your fans will grow up soon, and then you won’t have any. Then you can make your living dating sleezy rich guys like Lilo, or work in a mcds or something.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I was going to say that people like Gaga and Miley are annoying as hell but at least they seem to do right by their fans.

I mean..she’s been famous for like, a minute. How can she already have an ego this massive? She must have been like this well before she got famous, right?

      • Kiddo says:

Yeah, this chick actually makes me really appreciate Miley. Upside down world.

      • Mia V. says:

Not a Gaga fan, but she treats her fans right and so does Miley and in the end they are the ones who really matters.

      • Dutch says:

She’s had some level of fame since she was 16 or so from the various TV shows she’s been on. So there’s been a slow but steady inflation of her ego during that time.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I am starting to think there might be something to the Scooter Braun connection (he is Beiber’s manager and Ariana’s).

I can’t believe how fast her ego has gotten out of control. This has to have set some kind of record!

      • Cass says:

        https://au.tv.yahoo.com/sunrise/video/watch/24933807/ariana-grande-chats-with-sam-and-kochie/

Check out this hilarious interview on Oz tv – her obsession with her left side is so funny (and awkward).

P.s. Apologies for the annoying hosts – this show is crappy morning tv and not quality television.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

OMG, Cass..I had to stop watching half-way through. How freakin insecure can you be? I mean…I sort of feel bad for her..but not really.

      • Cass says:

Yes – I also couldn’t watch the whole thing. I find her totally bizarre. Can’t she see how silly it makes her look? I agree with your assessment – she must be very insecure.

      • Sacred And Profane says:

        Hi there, Cass.

I watched that show the morning she was on. The hosts, Sam and Kochie (ugh), were super-sycophantic, and I lost a lot of respect for Sam that morning… I posted a comment and the link on the day that CB wrote about her Australian visit, saying how douchey the girl was. Thankfully, I had to rush off to work half-way through the “interview”, so turned the telly off. TAlk about Fremdschämen…

    • HH says:

I’m not sure how she even got so big. Sure, she’s got some pipes, but I can’t tell what she’s saying half of the time. I’m assuming she’s also a diva about enunciation.

      • QQ says:

Rich at Gawker called her A Peanut Butter Mouth Sufferer and broke down what he thinks he heard as her song lyrics vs what they REALLY say and I’ve never looked back since

    • I Choose Me says:

Are we sure she’s not having a nervous breakdown. I just don’t get why she’s so hostile or the obsession with the left side of her face but she sure is wearing out her welcome, fast.

      • T.C. says:

        @IChooseMe

Some people are just nasty even if they have the face of an angel. I don’t think it has anything to do with a mental health issue following her history.

      • Serenity says:

Amen! This little shit might get ‘Hiegl-lized’ very soon.

      • Sky says:

She might have serious mental issues. Or is really haunted by demons. It’s nothing new.

    • Anne tommy says:

All of her fans will die one day, as will she. Unless they come up with a cure for death. Obnoxious.

    • lisa says:

she really does seem like the love child of j lo and mimi in the worst possible way

    • Amy says:

Neither can I. I can tell just by looking at her smug, arrogant face that she’s a total beeyotch. Hope her 15 minutes end soon!

  2. Tracy says:

I hope this nasty little thing has a very short lived career.

  3. Kali says:

What came first – the ego/attitude or Scooter Braun? Philosophical question for the ages 😉

    • 237 says:

I wonder if scooter (grown a** man, haha) already told babybieber that his fifteen minutes are almost up. Clearly, he’s cashing in on a new trick pony.
After all those terrible stories about her of late he might wanna look for another golden goose very soon.

      • lucy2 says:

I’ve been wondering how much money Bieber has coming in these days. Feels like he’s well on his way to being a has been in his early 20s. I could totally see that guy bailing on him and promoting another idiot to make him more money.

    • Kali says:

I’m looking forward to the VH1 “Behind the Music” special on Bieber. Either that or an AWESOME(ly bad) Lifetime special.

    • Sea Dragon says:

I’ve wondered that as well. My guess is that with Cooter’s influence, she’s been reassured that her inner ugliness is acceptable to the world.

  4. Meme says:

What a nasty little girl. In this world, she’ll probably become the female Bieber and make tons of money. Sad.

    • whateveryouwantittobe says:

Imagine all the people she’ll be able to abuse then, I have always gotten the worst vibes from this girl. I saw a video of Shaycarl from youtube interviewing her months ago, I had no idea who she was but she rubbed me the wrong way. She just had this smug look on her face like she was too good to be talking to him.

Honestly she sounds like she would be frighteningly horrible to people as long as she can get away with it.

      • Amy says:

Somebody else who knows who Shay Carl is on Celebitchy!! I don’t watch him too much because I find him annoying but I always privately wondered if anybody here watches Youtube vloggers. I admit to watching ctfxc until the divorce drama. Sometimes I wishes CB covered Youtube celebs, always lots of drama there.

As for Ariana… She hasn’t even earned herbdiva stripes yet! She’ll end up like Miley and Bieber, not interested in the descent into crazytown.

  5. Brin says:

    She has fans?

    • deehunny says:

It’s pretty unbelievable that she’s so huge right now. In the video that @Cass graciously posted, there are fans crying and the streets and camping overnight to get a glimpse of her. It’s inconceivable.

    • Just Me (and my Bobby McGee) says:

When we lived in the U.S. my daughter was a fan of “I-Carly” and “Sam & Cat.” She doesn’t know about her music yet since we’ve been overseas, and with this news, not sure I’m going to let her listen. What a shame that her sweet demeanor on the show doesn’t match up on any level her real life person.

  6. Tiffany27 says:

What a hateful struggle weave wearing wench.

  7. kri says:

495 dollars?! Wow, why not really class it up and make it 499.99 with free gift of” Fan Candy” (made from real fans!!). I said it before-I am afraid of her. Inseide that living doll is that demon thing from “Sinister”. Or it’s the Biebs in drag. Has anyone ever seen them together? Oh no she betta don’t!

  8. Talie says:

Christina Aguilera had the major tude back in the day as well — it’s usually the ones who know they have talent.

Ariana sounds a little psychotic though.

    • Nessa says:

And Ariana’s not even close to as talented as Christina. Arianna is a good singer, but her voice doesn’t take your breathe away like Christina’s. Her voice is out of this world good. There just is no comparison in terms of vocal talent… Certainly not between these two.

      • Grant says:

I completely disagree. Let’s be real here. Christina yells and shrieks, especially in her chest voice, and exhibits absolutely dreadful vocal technique. She has a beautiful falsetto, but girlfriend cannot belt or sustain a note with vibrato. Ariana can belt, riff, croon, hit whistle notes… All without sounding like she’s going to bust a lung. Just listen and compare their respective National Anthem performances. One is controlled and fluid, the other is shrieky and strained. Hint: the other is Christina’s.

      • G. says:

Christina also enunciates, so I’ll take her over this chick. Ariana really wore out her welcome, didn’t she? I’m the same age as her and jeez.

      • Tiffany :) says:

On Back to Basics Christina showed off her voice on a lot of songs where she wasn’t shouting. In some songs, she actually sounded quite delicate. I think Christina has a better voice, but she doesn’t always use it the right way.

I think Ariana has a great voice, but it isn’t very strong sometimes.

      • Anath Pariah says:

Christina Aguilera’s voice has always grated. Just because you can shout and prolong one word into like six notes doesn’t mean you should.

      • Grant says:

Christina actually has an enunciation problem herself, as expertly illustrated by this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x33PgKEgXwM

I’m not saying Christina can’t sing. I actually like her. I’m just saying that she’s nowhere near the Second Coming of, say, Whitney the way that she’s been portrayed in the media. And she’s not a better singer than Ariana.

    • TheOneandOnlyOnly says:

You might not remember but back in the day with real bands like Zeppelin and Queen you had massive talent, hipness and coolness that was real, and unique personalities – now we have these corporate manufactured – would she be anywhere without nickelodeon – twits, Does this little girl (that’s what she is) think she’s that good? Her fans, though, are tweens and don’t read blogs, unfortunately.

      • JM says:

I remember. Those bands wrote their music, played their instruments and sung without the aide of Auto-tune. Plus, they appreciated their fans. You’d never see Mick Jagger or Freddy Mercury stop a show unless the entire audience was standing.

      • Chris2 says:

Pretty much what I was thinking too…these glorified schoolkids, (whether Disney or Nickel-allergy), and the Sulky Stand Up Messiah, make one long for the charm (haha) of dedicated shockers like Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten. The were suave and gracious compared to this eruption of Gits Behaving Badly.
        🙁

    • Selina says:

      @Nessa

Christina Aguilera was always professional and grateful to her fans. She was also never a narcissistic brat, obsessed with her looks. (The only thing she was obsessed with was separating herself from the bubblegum pack to prove she wasn’t the non-singer Britney was, hence the oversinging.)

      • RK says:

But Britney could sing, not as good as Christina but she had a pretty decent voice, she just did playback because her marketing strategy was focused to dancing. And talking about Britney, she was the biggest pop star in the world and she never behave that way…

  9. Yellowshaba says:

Fans make your career little girl

  10. And then there were none says:

Does she have a lazy eye? Is that the reason behind all the left-side poses?

    • Mary says:

She has indeed very bad eyesight. The reason for the left side poses is I think her face looks then softer because of the dimple she has there. On her facebook site however here avatar is showing the right side of her face.

    • ataylor says:

I was just thinking that! Noticed that right off.

    • Konspiracytheory says:

Hmmm…I think you’re right. That would explain the obsession with one side of her face, but of course all she’s doing is encouraging people to try to figure out what’s wrong with the other side. I had a lazy eye as a kid. My parents were the type who only took us to the doctor if we were on death’s door, but for whatever reason they took me to a doctor who started treating it when I was about three years old. Several eyepatch-wearing years later (Halloween as a pirate, anyone?) and it was about 90% fixed. Granted, I’m still legally blind in that eye, but at least it stays straight (I’m told it wanders ever so slightly when I’m overtired). I’ve always wondered about this with Paris Hilton – with all of their money, surely her parents tried to have her lazy eye fixed…? You do have to start very young – maybe they started too late. OK, now I’m speculating about Paris Hilton – back to work!

      • amurph says:

I always thought Paris Hilton’s eye was from heavy colored contact use (she has brown eyes and makes them blue) – she wears them so much it is causing major eye problems but I don’t know for sure.

      • Just Me (and my Bobby McGee) says:

Paris Hilton has brown eyes? Shut the front door! I didn’t know that!

    • Clucky says:

I saw a picture that had me wondering that as well.

    • Jackson says:

Don’t know about the eye thing, but after spending a few seconds of my life looking at the rarely seen right side of her face, it seems like she may not have that little dimple on that side, or maybe it’s less pronounced. Whatever the case, this chick needs a reality check and a bit of crash and burn.

      • Erinn says:

I have a single cheek dimple too. Mines on my right side though, I should probably make sure people stop seeing my left side.

  11. don't kill me i'm french says:

She’s really something in showbiz since some months only and there are yet many stories on her mean behaviour. It shows how her behaviour must be bad even for the showbiz

  12. DanaG says:

She is going to have a very short career if she keeps behaving this way. The idiot can’t even behave for the press and photographers she has a really bad reputation it took Justin a little longer show what a douche he was I think they should get together that would be funny.

  13. Jaderu says:

Hope you enjoyed your 5 minutes, Grande dollar menu. *tick tick tick*

  14. Sophie says:

    She’s totally adorbs!!!

  15. lower-case deb says:

her autograph looks very different one from the other. (on that picture: the scrawl on the heart-shaped notepad looks like a confused snake, while the one on the album cover looks like a pair of saggy boobs).

but i guess if you are trying to sign eleventy hundred pads at one go, while trying to keep looking fresh and perky and leftigenic (southpawthogenic?)…

  16. Ostone says:

So over this little sh*t being all over everywhere. At this rate I’d take glorified porn star Kim Kardashian over her any day.

  17. Nicolette says:

Love how DListed described her as a life size Bratz doll with a demon soul. That about sums it up. Are celebs having trouble understanding that it is the fans that make them successful? You can be the most talented actor/singer and it doesn’t mean a thing if no one buys what you are selling. It’s really very simple to understand, without fans you are nothing. Her comment should outrage her fans and the parents who are paying for the concert tickets to see her and buying her music for their kids to listen to, and make them think twice before spending another dime to fill the pockets of this ungrateful b***h.

    • Size Does Matter says:

Life size Bratz doll with demon soul, how apt. Which is why I’m suddenly #teamsam. And I thought Jeannette McCurdy was putrid.

    • MsMercury says:

I love that description of her. lmao! I actually saw a pic of her with her hair down and she looked her age it confused me that she continues to wear it up since it looks awful and very young. Her whole image is wrong and she has a bad attitude to go with it.

      • Shannon1972 says:

I’m seeing early Britney Spears with the childish hair and schoolgirl outfits. I look at her and thank god I have boys. They are all about Chris Pratt and Guardians of the Galaxy, and I am a-ok with that. 😀

  18. Connie says:

Reading all these negative stories, it’s astounding how fast the media have turned on her. Not that she doesn’t deserve it of course.

  19. Bltrx says:

Well this is a lesson for her fans to stop wasting their money on this b*tch. Maybe then she’ll go away.

    • Tim says:

Well, she just got 6 nominations for the European MTV-awards so she will not go away very soon.

      • Nick says:

Fans are not that intelligent which makes them fanatics. People will still be lining up to pay 495.00 to take a group picture with her unfortunately.

        I am cranky,

      • claire says:

@Nick: Exactly. By the time these teen idols reach this level of fame, their fans are sold on them and are hard core fanatics. They don’t believe one single negative thing about them, despite there being tons of proof. It’s just all media lies, people being negative and trying to take them down and all that nonsense. Fans will keep buying what she’s selling.

  20. Jenny says:

Well, I don’t take all these “industry insiders” not to seriously.
They are amusing, but don’t start to take them seriously.

    • ML says:

Yeah exactly, I’m always so surprised how much of the ‘a source close to the star’ crap and the rumors with no proof that people believe, and sadly once it’s out there and enough people have heard about it, it suddenly becomes the truth.

      • Gypsy says:

Seems this is the smart section…..May I come in?

These Tabloids are in this competitive death race and they take any whispers, any salacious hate rumor and anything their interns (trying to prove themselves) dreams up and present it as facts.
This is done all because they know there is a small group of vocal 8-mongers who will believe and make vile comments, THEN TV and more reputable gossip Media will take it up and run with it, THEN AT THAT POINT, lies becomes believable truths.

It’s a simple and elegant process, that I can admire but it still pains me to see ordinary people, believing and hating because of this propaganda, like a Pavlov experiment .

    • bluhare says:

There’s a blog out there with an article written by a fan’s father. A fan who won a national contest. And how Ariana Grande acted then vs. how she acted when the same fan met her before she hit it big. It’s not “industry leaders”.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yup. And that blog is written in a VERY fair way. Didn’t sound like he had an axe to grind at all, especially since he was happy to praise other stars like Britney Spears, who treated fans kindly.

I’m actually more surprised at how many people give these celebs the benefit of the doubt, as if it’s impossible to imagine that a celebrity would have a huge ego.

      • Diana says:

Agree. Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire, in my opinion.

    • I Choose Me says:

I’ll buy that the tabs are running with a narrative and that not ALL of the reports may be true or wildly exaggerated. The tabs exist to take people down after all. However, there were stories from before she hit it big. I also read that blog bluhare mentioned and I agree that it was written very fairly. I should also mention though, that she responded to her fans about that blog and said that day was a very difficult one for her as she had just lost her grandfather. BUT there have been other fan accounts SINCE THEN about her snotty behaviour so I definitely think there’s some truth to the tales being told.

  21. Chris says:

Hmm. I don’t think she said it. The source is unnamed and there’s no supporting evidence.

    • OhDear says:

She may be a diva, but she can’t be that stupid to say something like that out loud.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

She might not have said this, but it doesn’t change the fact that this chick is massively arrogant and unkind to fans.

      • Chris says:

Doesn’t matter. I’m not going to believe every horrible thing that’s said about someone just because “an anonymous source” says it’s so. In fact unless someone is prepared to put their name to the claim I’m more inclined to call BS.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

It does matter in the sense that just because this story *may* not be true doesn’t mean that the fifty other stories about her being rude are false. Also, just because someone gives their name as a source doesn’t mean that person is telling the truth.

      • Chris says:

But we’re talking about this story. And I’m not obliged to believe that this is true just because there are other incidents of her behaving badly. For all we know the person who started this rumour might be some sleazy creep who made it up out of spite because she rejected his advances.

“Also, just because someone gives their name as a source doesn’t mean that person is telling the truth. ”

What and having no name attached to a rumour does?

    • FingerBinger says:

Yes, but it’s a source. You have to believe them.

  22. Tim says:

The NYDN is already for a long time on war against Scooter Braun (I don’t know why by the way) and this article fits in that pattern. So the question is what to believe and what is fake.

  23. Ag says:

“she’s trying to take Justin Bieber’s #1 North American D-Bag mantle” – lol. she might be in the beginning stages of coming for it, but she still has a loooooong ways to go.

and $495 for a picture. holy jesus. who has that kind of money to spend on something so superfluous?

  24. macey says:

This chick’s career is going to be shorter than that Carly Rae Jaspens (sp??).

I only checked her out b/c I kept seeing her name in the tabs but I couldnt tell you the name of any of her songs. I lasted about 15 seconds on one of her vids, her voice is annoying, nothing special about it. she sounds like every other pop tart out there. I think she’ll be gone before the year is.

    • Shannon1972 says:

Carly Rae is currently on Broadway. It’s amazing that as soon as I see her name, that damn song pops into my head and won’t leave! Here’s my number, now call me maybe…Lol 🙂

I know next to nothing about Ariana grande, but my friend’s son worked on her nickelodeon show and said she wasn’t very nice to the people around her. I don’t know if I buy that she said her fans should die, but I do believe that she can be entitled and rude.

  25. Mary says:

It are every time “anonymous industry insiders” quoted by notorious gossip sites. There is never even the slightest evidence.

I can also call a newspaper and tell that I overheard Katy Perry saying in a Hollywood restaurant that all journalists are basterds and that they can go to hell.

  26. There’s been a lot of whispers about her being a total cokemonster so that’d explain it all to me…hard to be nice with a toot full of Bolivian.

  27. Gypsy says:

C’mon folks……..DOES THAT MAKE SENSE, to you?
Does Ariana strike you as a raging lunatic? – The Tabloids are not even trying anymore, they just figure they have gullible fools for readers, so it’s throw them any piece of carrion and watch them swallow it.

I like Tabloids who don’t make it up who just report the “THE WHERE, THE WHEN, and THE WHAT, but I have to push back when my intelligence is being insulted.

    • jaye says:

And you’d have a point if there weren’t first hand accounts from fans about her behavior. The media can’t be making it ALL up.

      • Gypsy says:

Of course the Media does make it up…..Let them nae the “source”, let the source be interviewed.
An unnamed source told me that you are wanted in six countries for robbery…..Now it’s up to you to prove to me that it isn’t true…is it true?
        —-
How many times has Jennifer Aniston been pregnant?
How many times has Gosling broken up with Eva?
We all laughed at Kanye when the Media reported that Lana Del Rey refused to sing at his wedding – It turns out the Media made us the fools.
How many celebrities the Media has called a couple because they shook hands – Media made us a fools again.
        Etc, etc, etc.

  28. frisbeejada says:

Kate Bush aged 56 recently sold out 15 shows at the Hammersmith Apollo after not playing a live date for 35 years. Can’t quite see the likes of this little twerp pulling something like that off in her future… like all the other manufactured ‘pop princesses’ who are not nor ever will be the next Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Carole King etc… she can be safely ignored and forgot

  29. Maria says:

she’s got one song that i know of…definitely not enough to have this huge of an ego.
AND that one song is super annoying so Miss Latte needs to check herself.

    • jaye says:

She’s got three songs that have charted within months of each other. That song with Iggy Azalea, the Jessie J song, and another song that sounds like she’s singing with a mouthful of peanut butter.

  30. OTHER RENEE says:

Thin reedy squeaky Disney voice. I’d like to say she won’t last, but look how long Britney has lasted with her thin reedy squeaky off tune can’t sing without auto tune and lip syncing voice.

    • BendyWindy says:

To be fair, although Britney isn’t much of a singer, she used to pour her heart and soul into performing, and she could light the stage on fire. Plus, she is known to be a sweetheart to her fans. Ms. Grande doesn’t have that kind of stage presence, and is getting a reputation (deserved or not, I’m not sure) for being difficult.

      • OTHER RENEE says:

Well I sure hope you’re right! 🙂 I’d be very happy to see Ariana Grande Ego go bye bye from the public eye.

  31. BendyWindy says:

Seems like her family is out in the comments today. Regardless of what the right wing would have us believe, there isn’t some giant media conspiracy. One story of bad behavior could be someone’s sour grapes. Multiple stories? From multiple journalists in multiple countries and continents? Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

  32. Mike says:

She and Justin Bieber have the same manager. I wonder if he is influencing this behavior. They both seem to follow the same script

  33. Veronica says:

It’s crazy how these people wind up in the industry. It’s not a mystery what celeb life is about. I’ll take Taulor Swift over her any day.

  34. jaye says:

What is funny to me is that these stories about her being an obnoxious twilight zone (thank you Bill Cosby) are just generating more publicity for her. Her behavior is contemptible, but we’re still talking about her. Scooter Braun is an evil genius with a stupid name.

  35. zan says:

Can we talk about the mcdonald’s french fries Iphone cover of the guy in the picture????
    LOL

  36. Suzy from Ontario says:

Hope she gets what she wants – no more fans (not through them dying off of course).

  37. Hotpockets says:

I think it is bizarre how her team is obviously trying to play up her Lolita, young school girl image, with the outfits, styling, baby voice and her constant surprised look, not to mention the hyper-sexual tone of it all. She is 21, but they want people to think she is a lot younger than she really is. It’s gross.

  38. FingerBinger says:

I don’t know why people are getting bent out of shape about this girl. People like her have a short shelf life. She is in no danger of becoming Madonna or Mariah Carey. In a few years people will be saying ‘Ariana who?”

    • lucy2 says:

      Fingers crossed.

    • Tiffany :) says:

We can hope, but that isn’t always how the industry works. Breaking an artist into the “mainstream” and getting them name recognition is a HUGE feat! It takes a lot of time, energy and money. It is an investment. it is easier for labels to keep someone around who already has name recognition (and in Ariana’s case, a fan base from her Nickelodeon show) , than to do the work to discover new talent and spend the time and money getting their name and sound out there. As label income goes down, they are holding on to their established acts a lot longer.

  39. Brittney B says:

THANK YOU for comparing her to Justin Bieber (and pointing out that other female pop stars didn’t act this way during their tours). I believe she’s entitled, selfish, and mean, but SO MUCH of the coverage has revolved around her being a “diva” or a “b**ch”. That’s yet another way of using a woman’s gender to minimize her value and inspire people to hate her… and this isn’t about that. It’s about standing up to someone who’s ungrateful and reminding the world not to idolize her.

  40. whatsmyname? says:

Apparently she has had a bad reputation for years, this isn’t something.

I agree with @hotpockets her image is very gross. Why isn’t it a bigger deal? It seems like people are letting it slide when they are ready to jump on everyones elses sexualized image.

  41. TOPgirl says:

This chick needs to disappear. I can’t even understand a single word when she sings..its all nasaly and her words run into each other. Plus, she looks so annoying to me like a tiny mouse trying to be a lioness!

  42. FrenchLily says:

Three months ago I didn’t know who Ariana Grande was… and I was totally ok with that 🙂

And are there really people who pay 500 dollars (385 euros, nearly what I pay for my rent) for a picture with her ? That’s insane !!! I’m a big fan of some celebs but I would never pay such a huge sum for a picture with them… I’m not sure I’d pay anything at all for a pic with them. I’m shocked 🙂

  43. karkar says:

I hate her hair. She needs a new hairstyle.

    • Jayna says:

Talk about no imagination, a pop star who looks exactly the same all the time, never varying even a hairstyle. It makes me appreciate Gaga. LOL

  44. word says:

I try not to believe stories like this. I do know that Ariana is very nice to her fans on twitter and sounds very appreciative on twitter at least. Also, say what you want about Justin Bieber, but he has granted the most “Make a Wish” Foundation wishes out of any other celeb in history. He’s not getting paid to do that, it’s one on his own time. I don’t own either of their albums and won’t spend a dime on them but I always take these types of stories with a grain of salt…the truth is somewhere in between.

    • paranormalgirl says:

Bieber also peed in a bucket, egged his neighbors house, drag raced, got nailed under the influence, and abandoned at least two animals publicly. I don’t take ANYTHING about him with a grain of salt. Ariana Grande? Don’t know anything about her except the left side issue, so I will take those stories with a grain of salt until something ends up photographed or recorded.

    • doofus says:

“Also, say what you want about Justin Bieber, but he has granted the most “Make a Wish” Foundation wishes out of any other celeb in history.”

actually, it’s John Cena from WWE.

(Bieber apparently hold the record for “recording artists”.)

      • word says:

@ paranormalgirl – Oh I agree, Bieber has done a lot of disgusting things and broke the law, there is proof of that. I am talking about HOW HE TREATS HIS FANS. A lot of times stories are fabricated or blown out of proportion. That’s why I take stories regarding how mean celebs were to their fans with a grain of salt.

@ doofus – thanks for clarifying.

      • Tiffany :) says:

But he also spit off of a hotel ONTO his fans waiting below.

I think if a person shows repeated disrespect to fellow human beings, that applies to his fans as well. A person doesn’t erase their horrible behavior by doing charity (or being baptized). We are the sum of all of our actions, not just the good ones.

      • word says:

        @ Tiffany 🙂

I agree, you can’t erase your bad deeds. With regards to that spitting incident, there is some debate as to what really happened. I have heard many different stories about that, some say he didn’t spit on fans at all and that pic was taken of him spitting to the side before any fans showed up (or after). You have to remember the media makes up A LOT of stuff. I’m not saying Justin is a good kid. He has issues and needs to grow the eff up…but I do think he’s pretty good (for the most part) to his fans. But like I said, who knows where the truth lies?

  45. Penelope says:

For all her looks, talent, fame, and fortune, she seems to be a very unhappy and angry young woman.

  46. meryl says:

seriously! did she upset someone in the industry. she is getting sooo much heat lately! what’s going on? is there a blind item?

edit: can i be that skinny please? god damn, we are the exact same age except for 11 days, i deserve that body!

  47. Frodo lives says:

Is there any proof of her saying these horrible things other than hearsay? Dang someone must really hate that she’s becoming so popular.

  48. elo says:

Meh, she’s a flash in the pan. She’s not that cute, she has an awful attitude, and ziltch for talent. Within ten years she will be on a VH1 “Where are they now” special.

  49. Carrie says:

Judging by that picture I can see why she refuses to photographed on her right side, she has a Paris Hilton eye.

  50. Jayna says:

People can dis Lana Del Rey all they want, but I have never seen a pop star be so sweet to her fans, making sure to come over to them outside of her hotel or after or before a show outside where they are waiting, the way she chats with them and lingers and talks and laughs and does selfies and doesn’t run away. It shows a whole different side to her and seems actually pleased to see them and recognizes many and acknowledges them.

  51. Bread and Circuses says:

I keep thinking about that interview she gave where she talked about seeing demons and visiting some graveyard that the pope supposedly won’t fly over. She sounded a bit unhinged from reality, and for that reason, I wonder if this behaviour is more Amanda Bynes than Justin Beiber.

That is to say, the stories you hear about her could just be brattiness — but they could also be due to a mild mental illness, and if it is, you know Scooter F*#ing Braun will just try to keep the money train running instead of trying to get her help.

    • word says:

That’s interesting. She is hypoglycemic and has been for a long time. I know sometimes people with uncontrolled hypoglycemia can have behavioral/mental issues. Who knows? I mean she’s lost a lot of weight in the past few years and states she only eats organic vegan food now and stays away from processed foods…or perhaps she is just a naturally mean/snobbish person.

    • jwoolman says:

That was my thought, too. If any portion of the negative stories are true, it doesn’t scream diva to me. She may be overwhelmed and having real psychological problems. If she’s developed certain phobias, for instance, the encounters with fans might be agonizing and she deals with it by keeping the time short. Not everybody is happy chatting with strangers making you sign your name again and again. It was fine when she was less famous and an occasional person would recognize her, but nobody is going to know ahead of time how they are going to react to fame and an endless stream of fans wanting to touch you, talk with you, shoving autograph books in front of you, expecting you to be in their selfies etc. Some people thrive on such things, but many don’t. It really doesn’t seem fair that people who are singers or actors are expected to deal happily with what is actually a rather scary situation for the target. Fans seem so intrusive to me, I’d be way past wishing they would all die… Sometimes people are singers because they really like to sing, not because they love being mobbed.

It sounds like she is trying to control her environment backstage as well as with fans, to maintain whatever sanity she has left. She may indeed be headed toward an Amanda Bynes scenario if she has an underlying disorder that isn’t helped by all this.

    • Skittles4Marshawn says:

I hope she turns it around. Hers is the best candy-pop out there.* Maybe she didn’t actually say she wished her fans would die, but I can’t believe she’s charging so much to take group photos.

I can’t believe ANY celebrities charge to take photos unless it’s for charity, or perhaps if it comes with some sort of VIP hang-out pass. That really blows my mind. How long has this been going on?

*Yes, most of us can only take that stuff in small doses

  52. JaNa says:

What a disgusting human being. I would be ashamed to be her family. This girl needs to pull her head out of her ass. She makes me sick!

  53. kpoodle says:

I don’t think she eats much. Plus her neck has to be kinked up from always being turned to the right. I would be grouchy too!

  54. Nesi says:

Until someone has proof that she said this, I guess we are taking their word for it? I don’t really know anything about her, just saying that it sounds like gossip.

  55. Greyson says:

She has the worst bout of smug face that I have ever seen! In every picture she looks arrogant and above it all. Ugh.

  56. St says:

Oh God her again. Just stop. When will her 15 minutes of fame pass?
Ariana Grande is like our new “celebrity we love to hate”. Poor Lohan. Got upstaged by Ariana Grande. Now almost completely forgotten.

  57. Gypsey says:

Ben Affleck has some interesting observations about the Tabs, see what he has to say below:

    BEN AFFLECK
On a fake story that his wife Jennifer Garner has had it with him: “See, that’s tabloid sh*t. That’s all bullsh*t. They completely lie. I mean, I can show you 10 articles of Star and OK!—those magazines feel totally comfortable absolutely fictionalizing every single element of the story. And there’s nothing you can do about that. My only hope is that people with any common sense recognize that those stories are false. And, I don’t know, there’re worse stories…”

  58. rudy says:

    One word:
    ScooterBraun

  59. moo says:

unless they name who this “insider” is, i would take these articles with a grain of salt.

  60. Anath Pariah says:

For someone whose songs I barely even know, she sure has a lot of ego.

I’ve still never heard a song by her in its entirety. I felt my brain cells dying after the first minute or so of listening.

  61. Nikki L. says:

For someone with a shrill, oversung voice who sounds awful live, she sure has an attitude.

  62. Dommy Dearest says:

    Wonk Eye Latte.

  63. Scarlet says:

She looks like my cleaning lady.
