Keira Knightley was one of my biggest disappointments at the Golden Globes. That baby has stolen her style mojo!!! First Keira dressed like a banana at the BAFTA event on Saturday and then she shows up at the Globes in a Chanel bib and dust ruffle. TERRIBLE. Keira proudly stated that it took 30 people a week to make this gown. Their time could have been much better spent.
Claire Danes in Valentino. I have mixed feelings. Like, this dress isn’t boring and yet Claire was a total non-event on this carpet. Remember when we used to wait expectantly to see what she would wear? I feel like she lost her style mojo a few years ago. And this Valentino isn’t bringing it back. Sigh… I’m so tired of sheer breast panels.
When Amy Adams appeared on the red carpet, I actually liked her Versace gown a lot. I thought, “Finally, she managed to get everything right at the same time.” Good hair, good makeup, decent dress. But… by the time Amy won Best Actress for a Comedy/Musical, I wasn’t into the look anymore. In these photos, the gown looks almost violet, but on stage it read as a dingy pale blue. I think the fit was off on top too. Should we give her credit for doing a better look than usual, or should we hold her to a different standard because she has so much potential? PS… her jewels are Tiffany’s.

Choupette is way too classy for this mess. It must have been her drunk second cousin she let in through the cat door (which is the same door she makes Karl use).
Karl does not like womens bodies. Normally Keira has an emaciated boyish frame=Karl love. Get preggers, get boobs and a tummy= Konfused Karl= BAD frock.
LOL. My thought was ‘where is the scarlet letter?’ Karl has truly lost his mind. This dress was the WORST of the bad!

I may be the only one who liked Keira’s dress. It was lovely and different and best of all she can wear it as a nightgown when she gets home. Loved Amy Adams dress but she always misses the mark with her jewelry. She needed better accessories to add a ‘pop’ to her gown. And I am dying over Claire Danes earrings. Gorgeous and they looked great on her. Liked her dress too.
No, you’re not because i honestly liked Keira’s dress too. Not top 5 or anything but it is SO Keira Knightley, i’m not mad at it. Not even at the jester collar.

Yayyy! I had thought my friend and I were probably the only people in the world (besides Keira and her stylist) who actually liked the dress. I think it looks lovely on her, bringing out the preggo glow 🙂
Love this dress. It is pretty and crazy at the same time. Also, she is looking so much healthier carrying some baby weight. It really suits her.
I like it also…still, I think the type of event asked for something a bit more glamorous. Still, it looks nice and if she likes it and feels comfortable on it is way better than all the people looking extra uncomfortable in their glamorous albeit ill fitting dresses.

I don’t care for Kiera’s dress, but to be fair I never care for her fahion choices, I liked Amy’s dress and her hair and makeup was great, it just didn’t pop like some of the other actresses, she took a safe route.
As a fellow redhead, I wish Amy hadn’t went pastel. I think that dress in a jewel tone would have been glorious.

Claire clearly picked up a tapestry at a drug paraphernalia store and had it fashioned into a gown. Hair, makeup and earrings look great.

Claire…. Usually those small squares of fabrics in kinda matcha fabrics they sell at the store are for quilts, not dresses. Nice earrings but the hair was a bit too severe.
I adore Amy and her interview post Globes was great. I actually wore the same dress (almost. It was lilac) at my high school graduation. Sadly, no Tiffany jewels to go with it. So I still like it:-)

I thought Amy’s dress was really pretty but pretty much ever since Hustle I just feel like I’m holding to her a higher standard bc she proved in that movie that she knows how to own a glam look and so I get irritationally annoyed that she seems to almost purposefully try to play down her own glam on the red carpet.
For Keira, hormones are messing with her terrible fashion sense but you are excused, future baby mama. Amy Adams looks beautiful, love the color.

Amy Adams is trying to be safe and below the radar as best as she can. She doesn’t want more attention to herself after the Sony hack and Today Show fiasco. So no all out glam and no bright colours. I’ve always rooted for Amy and she has beautiful old Hollywood looks that she can glam up. Maybe she will own it for the Oscars.
Jade, I think you are dead on in that I don’t think Amy Adams wants attention. She knows that people turn on women the minute they get too much attention. I was happy for her win last night but I actually felt bad for her bc we know how this goes—people turn on these women like a dime.
Must be a girl. Girls ‘steal’ their mother’s beauty, right? I dunno, Keira is always offbeat and she has never been even a whisper close to having any weight on a very obvious pear frame. She probably doesn’t know what to wear/wants to be comfortable.

So good to see pregnant Keira with some weight on her. I absolutely adore her style, but this (and the yellow dress) kind of says she is having difficulties with “getting it right” style-wise while pregnant. Her outfit looks as if she tried to mix her familiar (Chanel) style and a baby bump, and ended up overdoing it.
If Keira knightly wins an Oscar then there’s no reason for Lindsay Lohan to give up her Oscar dreams. I would dare say snooki deserves an Oscar more than Ikea knightly. I will never forgive her for ruining a dangerous method with her distractingly bad over-acting.
I would say you have to give Kiera a little leeway because she’s pregnant but then I saw the dress and thought WHY?! First of all, what possesses a designer to call that dress a success; second, why would anyone put it on?

Eh, I like her dress and her styling. She looks cute. Her husband, on the otherhand, must have a great personality or a few tricks up his sleeves.
That’s not a colour I usually like but I think Amy looks fab. The dress hits her in all the right places, I like her hair and although I wish she’d worn a brighter lip, I think her makeup is just fine.
I DETEST lavender but I agree that she looks amazing. The lavender is just perfect with her hair color and made her eyes sparkle. She looks like a pastel-colored confection.

I detest lavender as well. Still hated that dress. The only excuse that the color is practically 100% match for Amy’s eyes. Still hated the dress, though. It looked so washed up.
I think Keira’s dress would have been better if it was knee length and didn’t have so much ruffley stuff. The bird print is quite cute though.

I’m a little bummed about Keira’s look since she normally kills it on the red carpet, but her puritan tablecloth look was not good. And I’m surprised it took that many people to make the dress. Oh well, I have hope she’ll knock it out of the ballpark for the SAGs/Oscars.
Keiras dress was awful, just awful. I don’t know what you are talking about Amy’s dress, she was so pretty last night and that dress fits her like a glove. Claire on the other hand, that top part was all wrong and it did not fit properly.
Keira’s dress isn’t just….ugly, it looks so uncomfortable. Just too restricting at the knees. Like when I wear panties that are too small sometimes, and I just want to cut the leg part so that I can move! I’ve lost some weight, by the way, so that is no longer a problem for me, thank you very much.

CD looks like a vinatge costume earring from the late 50’s. It is horrible to see. I hate that sh*t with all of my cells. And Keira usually does it for me-this demented Victorian doll nonsense is so wrong. Chanel needs to just stop. If I see another lace dust ruffle wrapped around someone, I am going to scream.
Personally, I thought Claire’s look was way worse than Kiera’s, although Kiera was maybe #2 on my worst dressed list.

Keira’s dress would have been better with either the collar or the trim at the bottom- both is just ugh. Finally got around to seeing The Imitation Game- Keira needs to have a frock made up for her in the shade of blue of the coat she wore at the end of the movie- it looked so good on her!

Ah, I found the runway shot. It had long billowy sleeves and shorter hemline. Geeky-chic, but the (how many, 30?) folks who worked on the dress watered it down to whatever you’d call this, and it lost whatever it was supposed to be.
