Nicole Richie: Is She or Isn’t She Pregnant?

Ah, the ever persistent celeb-baby watch. It seems like every other day we are thinking someone new is pregnant, or fat. Sometimes we are right, like with Isla Fisher. Mostly we are wrong…can you say Christina Aguilera, Sienna Miller, Shar freakin Jackson?!

The latest celeb baby rumors come about Nicole Richie. Nicole and boyfriend Joel Madden have been dating for around 7 months and recently she has been spotted with a bit of a belly. She has been very tight lipped about the whole thing, refusing to comment when asked by paparazzi. Can you blame the girl though? I mean really, if she wasn’t, that’s just a relapse of an eating disorder waiting to happen!

There are also those rumors and fears that Nicole might have to do jail time like her good friend Paris. Which got me thinking, can pregnant women serve jail time? And the answer, to the best of my knowledge, is yes. There has been a bit of an outcry over the past few years about women in jail about to give birth being shackled to be moved from their cell to the medical facility. This reportedly can cause damage to the unborn baby, as well as to the mother, who may be shackled up to the minute just before the baby comes out. However, it is extremely unlikely that Nicole would be in jail that long if convicted, and of course, the baby as of right now, to the best of our knowledge, is still just a figment of our overly active imaginations.

Oh and one more thing. I went to check out Nicole Richie’s official website to see if she had anything to say. And the website has a lovely picture and a big announcement saying ‘Coming Soon’. Below that, it lists upcoming appearances, one of which is that she is the new face of Jimmy Choo’s Spring/Summer Collection…2006. I think it’s about time someone updated that. Just a thought.

Note by Celebitchy: I think Christina Aguilera is pregnant, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Here are pictures of Nicole Richie on 6/8 in New York. Thanks to Splash News. I don’t see much of a bump there.
