Here are some fashion photos from last night’s Billboard Music Awards – you can see the list of winners here. Every year, it just seems like fewer people really care? Maybe that’s because Billboard kind of chose the worst possible night to air their awards show. Well, I think it’s the worst because I’m an adult. I’m sure the kids thought it was cool and those kids weren’t interested in Game of Thrones or Mad Men.
So, let’s talk fashion. Britney Spears in Yousef Al-Jasmi. It’s a pretty boring dress, but she looks fine. Britney posed with Iggy Azalea on the red carpet (they performed together) and then Britney posed with her boyfriend Charlie Ebersol.
Jennifer Lopez wore this Charbel Zoe dress that looks like dozens of Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab dresses that J.Lo has worn before. What I’m saying is that I’m pretty tired of this look and J.Lo needs to mix it up!
Taraji P. Henson in Alexandre Vauthier Couture. She’s so sexy! I’m not in love with this dress, but it’s an okay choice for a fun music awards show. I like the glimpse of her tattoo as well.
Laverne Cox in Marc Bouwer. I like a cute minidress and this is pretty cute. I think the cut on the shoulders makes her look wider than she really is though.
I’m sure it took all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to get Mariah Carey into this revealing Tom Ford mullet dress. Poor Mariah… she just canceled some Vegas shows because she has “bronchitis.” You can’t blame Mariah for that – blame the poor bastards in Las Vegas who thought it would be a good idea to give Mariah a residency.
I actually think Olivia Culpo is incredibly pretty, and I love that Nick Jonas is in a serious relationship with her. Olivia wore an Elie Saab playsuit, basically. Only it was fancy and sparkly. It’s sort of a perfect choice for the girlfriend of one of the Billboard artists.

Britney’s performance was awesome. She looked happy , healthy and like she was having fun.She looks cute with Charlie, the dress isn’t my favorite but she looks good.
That song is awful, no wonder is out of the top 20 on iTunes and falling hard.
Poor Britney. She always looks so vulnerable and lost. I wish her keepers would let her quit working, if that’s what she wants, because she doesn’t seem in to it anymore.
I don’t think she has wanted this for a long time now. I wish she could just retire to Louisiana and be out of the spotlight.
This is exactly what I think–just let her retire and move back to La. I even bet if she paid him enough she could get the Federlines to come with.
She always looks uncomfortable. She’s (awkwardly) smiling but her eyes are sad.
I have a soft spot for Brit. I want her to be happy.
She and The Backstreet Boys were my favorite in my teen years.

It’s funny how the better looking/well maintained Hollywood women have gotten the more desperate/older they seem to be.
J. Lo has worn a dozen different variations of nude cut-out dress between 2014 to now. At this point what is a gorgeous woman feels like someone paranoid to remind you ‘she’s still got it’. Damn, at 45 you should have more to make you attractive then a pair of perky boobs.
And fake ones at that. She had them lifted and plumped after the twins.

Yes. All of my 11 year old’s school pictures look like this. But if you make Brit smile for real, we get the guffaw thing. Luv to her, but she passed her peak an eon ago. Doesn’t she have money saved up to retire by now? Why the continued puppeteering?

Britney’s smile always cracks me up. It’s so fake.
Britney has a history of mental illness so bad that her father was given leave to make all her choices for her. It’s extremely likely that being in the spotlight causes her anxiety and this fake smile is the best she can pull off. I don’t really find that something worth cracking up over, but that’s just me.
Britney seems to be in a great place and happy.
J-Lo has become so predictable. She used to be out there with fashion and really mix it up. She’s now become the 45-year-old showgirl who is terrified people won’t see her as sexy and fears aging and stays in the same in-your-face flashy sexy look for years, not fashion forward, thus making her appear dated. It does the opposite anymore with the same sequined, skin-baring outfits. Instead of noticing her, all of the gowns she wears are just one big blur anymore, and you notice someone really being daring as far as fashion, not just skin and glitter.
Agreed. Although just want to point out that J-Lo has always been this messy. Always. The girl cant sing and she cant act her thing has always been about titillating people with a black girls shape while looking sufficiently white as to be accessible (read “desirable”). Shes always dressed to market this – her only “talent”.
Britney’s dress makes her look fumpy and dumpy. JLo needs to just stop already. Her dress is awful. 95% of the dresses on this red carpet were awful.
JLo looks younger than Britney and I have no words about Mariah and boy, does she look uncomfortable.

First of all Mariah should be in the headline of this post. I know she is a diva but I still love her and listen to her songs 🙂 And I’m sure she’ll be wearing mini dresses until she’s 80!
I do agree that poor Britney looks miserable and should be allowed to retire. Her new video with Iggy Azalea is so bad. The really sad thing is she has enough money to live on but her “handlers” won’t let her stop.

Britney’s dress was to pander to Ebersol’s mother, imo. A more conservative and traditional style.
JLo’s dress’ style is getting old and tired. It’s unfortunate that celebrities who aren’t taller and thinner are the ones who keep wearing this style.
Laverne’s dress and her crossing her leg makes it look like she’s trying to look like a “V” with the wide shoulder at the top and pointy at the bottom.
Mariah’s belly roll side windows are not a good look. The mullet opening showcasing her stumpy legs was not a good idea.

Mariah probably has a case of ‘scathing review-itis ‘ which prompted the cancellation.
Though buying any concert ticket is a gamble because there could be an unforeseen cancellation, Mariah’s tickets has worse odds, imo.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but J-Lo’s rear has been smaller for a while now. While everyone else is plumping theirs up, hers has gotten smaller. She did drop down to her thinnest and very toned, but I still didn’t think that was just all it was. My friend had big thighs and rear for her body type, and she does some ultrasound thing at her plastic surgeon’s office by their technician there (I can’t think of the name of it), that isn’t cheap, but it took inches off of her rear-end and thighs and reduced her cellulite, and says she just has to now keep it up with maintenance appointments. You could see the difference within several months and she looked fantastic. I,honestly, think that’s what J-LO has done.
Britney looks like her skin is on fire. Every smile is forced. It’s her meds keeping her mood in check. She can barely fake a smile anymore.
Side note: JLo needs to take a break from that look but then again Olivia’s romper is fierce!
J – lo defo had a small bossom job after her children were born. At least they aren’t obnoxious in their size. I don’t hate her for it.
Brit looks good here but it might be the dress and the way she was shot but at first look I thought it was a young Pam Anderson 🙁 The dress did nothing for her. Her performance was good but nothing like what we know she is capable of – I miss the old Brit, girl could burn the stage down with those dance routines.
I hope she gets her wish soon to retire somewhere in Louisiana with her boys and the cute bloke. I wish nothing but good things for her.
I liked Britney and Olivia. Taraji’s dress is very revealing, but she doesn’t give me desperate vibes.
I love Brit-brit’s red carpets. She is so awkward/over-it. Hilariously awesome.
