Conrad Hilton to spend 90 days in rehab after violating his probation multiple times

I didn’t even become aware of Conrad Hilton until he went absolutely bonkers on an international flight back in 2014. No one even heard about the incident – which led to Conrad’s arrest – until months later, back in February 2015. The story of that arrest is awful/amazing – Conrad was drunk or high (or both) and he started going berserk in first class, calling the other passengers “peasants” and getting into physical altercations with the staff and more. I said at the time that Conrad should be prosecuted under terrorism statutes, because JUSTICE. Just because he has white skin, doesn’t mean he gets to behave that way on a flight. But at the end of the day, the Hilton name won out and he copped a generous plea deal that had him pleading down to a lesser assault charge and paying a fine and probation, basically.

So, Conrad was under “strict” probation terms when he broke into the home of an ex-girlfriend back in June 2015. The ex-girlfriend had a restraining order against him, so he plainly violated the terms of the restraining order, plus he had been stalking and harassing her for a while. And once again, Conrad is walking away with a slap on the wrists.

Conrad Hilton has been ordered to spend at least 90 days in a clinic for substance abuse treatment after violating his probation after last year. The hotel heir was spared jail by his Los Angeles judge, despite calls from authorities to send him to prison for 60 days, the City News Service reports. The authorities argued that Hilton had violated his probation by trespassing, failing drug tests, failing to complete three treatment programmes and leaving California without getting permission from his probation officer.

The 21-year-old brother of Paris and Nicky Hilton was originally sentenced to probation and community service after his February arrest for threatening passengers and flight attendants during an international flight. Following his arrest and admission to having smoked pot in the plane bathroom and threatening to kill one flight attendant, he voluntarily checked into a rehab facility. In June, Hilton’s antics made headlines again when he was arrested for the second time in four months for reportedly violating a restraining order his ex-girlfriend Hunter Salomon had against him.

[From Us Weekly]

This is the message being sent to women in California: if you’re being stalked, harassed and threatened by a rich ex-boyfriend, you’re on your own, because the California legal system will literally just shuffle him off to rehab for a few months and call it a day. If the dude is a rich white man, he’s allowed to spend ten hours terrorizing a plane full of people, walk away with a slap on the wrists and probation, and when he violates the probation terms, barely anything is done. What the hell?

No words for this cretin. I think I read somewhere that the ex-girlfriend is the daughter of Rick Salomon who was Paris Hilton’s partner in her sex video.. Ick.

    • MC2 says:

It’s true! So he was dating someone whose father had a sex tape with his sister?! Jeeze- keep it out of the family. That’s just gross. But it does show why she would date Conrad- her dad made her used to being men being complete jerks.

  2. Lucky Charm says:

He and Lindsay must have the same judge!

    • Mia4s says:

Maybe they should date. That should be enough of a disaster to finally end this sorry excuse for a world.

    • swak says:

Right! Is this any different than Lindsay getting off all the time. Rich people problems.

      • Katherine says:

No. This is a typical sentencing outcome for these offenses and probation violations which are fueled by addiction. Judges know jail is not the answer. They will always try rehab first, second and third.

    • ladysussex says:

Well, Conrad’s actions have actually been far more egregious than LL’s. But here’s the thing: At the time of his airplane freakout, his sister (Nicky) was engaged to a Rothschild. Now she is married to him. The Rothschild family has power that goes higher than you can possibly imagine in the US, UK, Europe, and Israel. The Hilton’s power and money are just chump change compared to them.

      • ND says:

Exactly. Hilton influence is nothing to sneeze at – the newer generations crassness aside, it’s old money, and old money talks loudest – but it pales next to the Rothschild pile. Rothschild caliber wealth can make people disappear.

      • Bridget says:

The Hilton’s aren’t old money. At all. Not to mention that the bulk of the Hilton hotel fortune went to charity.

And Nicky’s married to a Rothschild, but from the ‘scandalous’ branch (and even still, I’d guess that they’re mortified about the Hilton connection). The American legal system doesn’t need connections to have strings pulled, just enough money to hire an excellent lawyer – which is all you need should you be charged with a crime in California.

  3. Miss Grace Jones says:

    White privilege is truly amazing.

    • jessica says:

Its wealth that gets you off not color…

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Not according to similar multiple incidences in history.

      • anne_000 says:

        No, it’s color too.

      • SnarkySnarkers says:

I know this is not the popular opinion but I’m not sure its fair to blame this instance on race. I know plenty of white people who have done far less and have gone to jail. Take away the money and this clown would be in jail. Also, the California legal system is notoriously lax.

    • Esmom says:

Seriously. I’m appalled but not surprised. Sigh.

      • Zwella Ingrid says:

Any other person, anywhere else, black or white or whatever color would be in jail for violating probation. Money talks in this case.

  4. suzanne says:

JAIL is where he belongs. Geesh, he’s disgusting.

  5. Melody says:

90 days rehab? Are they nuts? Do you know the quality of massage therapists they get in those places? Not even mentioning the wifi problems – it is impossible to properly stream pr0n in your private jacuzzi. I hope his Mom can send care packages with caviar and decent hookers.

  6. aims says:

It just shows you that if your a white rich ahole, you’re above the law. This Conrad sh*t has a long history of substance abuse and illegal behavior while on drugs. None of the Hilton kids have grown up to be responsible, respectful people. One married well and the others are a waste of skin.

    • Tiffany says:

While a man of color is caught with a couple of joints and are a menace to society in California and have to serve their full sentence.

I mean the jails are already overcrowded and Conner is not a danger, he just needs help that jail cannot provide. ( Yep, that was sarcasm).

    • Tiffany :) says:

This is so damn absurd, where are our priorities as a society?!? He threatened to kill people on a flight, he hit people, he was doing drugs on a flight…really SERIOUS crimes.

Shouldn’t the violation of that probation mean that he has to SERVE out the sentence that would have been suspended by the probation? He failed 3 treatment programs, but they think the best thing to do is send him back to a treatment program?

The different types of justice in America, depending on your wealth, race, and gender is just too.damn.shameful. This azz is just a symptom of an overall problem: our justice system is jacked the f-up. The justice system was so important to the founding of our country, I can’t believe we have let it get this bad.

Meanwhile, I am listening to a podcast where a man is serving 40 years for allegedly spraying someone with mace and robbing him of less than $2k. A crime for sure, but 40 years?

      • ND says:

I really thought Hilton was going to see the inside of a prison after what he did on that airplane. Those were VERY SERIOUS federal charges, with mandatory sentences and fines, from which very few people escape with just probation.

The second he got on an international flight, blatantly violating his “probation,” California should have locked his butt up.

He’s either going to mess with the wrong person one of these days and sorely regret it, or he’s going to kill someone with his “poor little rich boy” shenanigans. Either way, I don’t see this ending well.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I completely agree, ND. It’s sad that it will take such extremes for his crimes to be taken seriously.

  7. Red Snapper says:

I can’t. The pinstripes, the ‘stache, the fro. No. Just, no.

    • ND says:

I’m sitting here thinking he probably pays someone a lot of money to make him look that stupid.

      The hair is officially bad.

  8. Nikki says:

And the rehab center is probably posh to boot. Infuriating. Imagine for ONE SECOND he was a black or Hispanic dude: no rehab needed!

  9. Astrid says:

This post reminds me of the Charlie Sheen post yesterday. Rich white man gets away with stuff that others get jail time for.

  10. Green Is Good says:

So, slap on the wrist then. Of course. A no name nobody would be in federal prison for the plane incident.

  11. Dragonlady sakura says:

Not his fault…affluenza is a terrible disease strickening the youth of today. 😠

  12. lovemesseg says:

    White Privilege III

    Must be nice.

    • ladysussex says:

I’m white. But if I threatened to kill people on an airplane, or broke into someone’s house…I’d be in jail. This goes way beyond “white privilege”.

  13. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Smh, when he kills someone I’m sure all the legal individuals involved will claim it wasn’t their fault and turn a blind eye.

    Disgusting human being.

People like this make me believe parents should also face punishment for their children’s crimes when they coddle them so disgustingly.

    • the.princess.leia says:

The whole thing reminds me of an episode of Law and Order SVU that was on last night where the judge sentenced one lady to jail because she looked like a whore but found another one not guilty because she & her husband looked like “good people”… It might be a fictional program but we’ve seen so many instances of it happening here lately that I feel like we should do away with singular judges and have tri-panels. Instant accountability. No defendant should have to sit in a prison waiting years for another court to check a bias or partial judge and no jackhole (I’m looking at you Ethan Couch!) should be let loose on the streets after killing 4 people because one judge buys some cockamamie defense that he’s too rich to know right from wrong.

  14. the.princess.leia says:

The prosecution should have asked for a year so that he would have to serve at least 60 days. Sentencing him to 60 days would have had him out in like 8-9 days. A 90 day rehab stint though means the jackhole has to stay the full 90 days. And that’s the only upside to this story.

  15. anne_000 says:

I don’t know why he and Ethan Couch aren’t BFFs yet. Oh yeah, Ethan was in Mexico for awhile. But wait, Conrad left CA without permission, so that should make Ethan’s case OK too, right? #Affluenza

After all the failed rehabs and breaking some more laws including terrorizing a woman, why let him off with just another rehab order? By this time, all he’s learned is that he can skip rehab again and ignore laws set in place for mere mortals and nobody in the judicial system has the guts or willingness to put him in jail.

Must be nice to be so privileged.

  16. thecookingpan says:

seems like it’s a global problem, no penance for the rich and famous…

  17. kri says:

Wow, another news story about a rich, abusive male. Club Sheen, anyone? No consequences for anything-as long as you have money and/or fame.

  18. carol says:

    Affluenza strikes again!

  19. E-clair says:

Not completely white privelege. OJ Simpson got away with murder because he was rich.

  20. Jeanette says:

A touch of affluenza and a big ole dash of psychopath…

  21. ND says:

He’s only 21? God, he looks 40. Living that hard, there’s nowhere to go for him but dead.

But he’ll probably kill someone else first. He’s made a habit over the years of driving drunk off his ass and high out of his mind. He hits, runs, evades police, wrecks cars, hurts people – and gets away with it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

He doesn’t need, and shouldn’t get, a cushy California SPA-HAB.

They need to put his overprivileged ass in PRISON, where the “peasants” can give him a lesson or two that might actually take.

  22. kgeo says:

I had a stalker. That shit is scary. He should be in jail on stalking alone. Of course, everyone always thinks it takes two. It doesn’t, it just takes one person putting all their time and energy into making your life miserable.

  23. Nilber says:

I had an ex that managed to stalk his way onto my training base after 9/11. He secured a job at Pizza Hut, passed a background check because I was young, dumb and ran instead of pressing charges and he found me. He wasn’t stupid he didn’t do anything on base but the phone call describing my outfit and friends. He was supposed to be 1,200 miles away! I was petrified. I was able to take a stand but the outcome could have been so much worse. I can’t imagine the fear of this poor girl with this douchenozzle. This is a case I would recommend a CCL, training and self defense training also. Restraining orders are needed and good tools however they are also just pieces of paper to entitled sociopath.

  24. Wonderbunny says:

I keep being surprised by how messed up this family is and their lack of…effort. All of them have this aura of not really caring about anything. Like they’ve checked out spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.

  25. raincoaster says:

So THAT’s what a Hilton looks like before the nose job. Huh.

Also: who wants to bet there was pcp or something similar in that pot he smoked on that plane? Pot causes you to become boring, not rampageous.

  26. Bread and Circuses says:

I was thinking this took place in New York state for some reason and was thinking, “WTF?” and then I realized it was California. Right: Broke and broken legal system with no room in the jails for non-violent offenders.

Which he *wasn’t* — but he is a drug offender, so I guess they decided to deal with him as that because at least it keeps him from serving 2.1hours of his sentence before being released due to overcrowding.
