The past few weeks, we’ve been inundated with Khloe Kardashian news, drama, gossip and interviews. Part of it was promotion for her show, Kocktails with Khloe, on the FYI network. But last week, the drama was behind-the-scenes as Khloe canceled a taping of the show because she was so focused on Lamar Odom’s drama – Lamar had been out drinking at a bar, and Khloe is dealing with the realization that Lamar isn’t taking his recovery seriously. Still, considering Kocktails with Khloe was still in its infancy on FYI – they were only 13 episodes in – it seemed weird to cancel the taping. It could be that there was something else going on and Lamar was merely the excuse. That something else? The FYI network no longer believes in Kocktails with Khloe. Throw another kanceled talk show on the pile!
It’s last call for Kocktails With Khloe. FYI has pulled the plug on Khloe Kardashian’s primetime talk show, with the final episode set to air on April 20, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The final episode of the series will feature special guests Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
“FYI and Pilgrim Media Group appreciate everyone’s great work on the series and are pleased that the show brought new viewers and significant numbers to FYI’s linear and digital platforms,” FYI and Pilgrim Media Group, which produces the series, said in a joint statement. “We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series.”
The decision is especially shocking given that it comes two months after FYI gave the primetime talk show an order for 15 additional episodes on top of the original eight-episode order Kocktails had received back in July 2015, when it was greenlit to series. That would have brought Kocktails With Khloe’s season one count to 23 episodes. However, just 14 hourlong episodes of the show will be produced when the series goes off the air later this month.
I didn’t watch the show because I don’t have the FYI channel, but I’ve seen a few clips and read some quotes. It seemed like Khloe was doing a take-off on Chelsea Lately, something driven by gossip and guests/panelists, with a bawdy, dirty edge. I’m not saying I’m sad about this or anything, I’m just saying… Khloe will probably try a talk show at some other time and maybe that one will catch on. Khloe IS watchable and crass and somewhat funny, and I could see how people would want to give her another talk show. Sadface for Khloe and her sad doll face.

I heard about this yesterday and chuckled to myself. I don’t even know what station it was on, but it had to be a miserable show if Seacrest didn’t put it on E. Kris keeps trying to make Khloe happen, but it won’t. She needs her sisters for anything to work. If I wanted to see a drunk woman ranting on, I’d go to a bar.

They wear a style repeatedly so they will be associated with it and claim it as their own. Oh look what we started! We are so cutting edge and fashion forward. That is their ammo. I mean think about How many people have already claimed the Kardashians created these braids and started the trend. Ugh. Hell many of their fans think they invented contouring, blonde hair, crop tops, stretchy pencil skirts three sizes too small, nude lipstick, ridiculous lips, big butts and so on. What’s funny is their stylists troll everyday /less famous individuals steal their looks or worse their culture and then claim it as their own. Nothing is original.
I agree. They also pay the daily mail to post articles and pics about another random celeb imitating or copying their outfits or styles. It could be something as stupid as a similar black top, etc. They are seriously annoying.
Guarantee she will say it was her canceling cause poor her needs to take care of Lamar. Won’t admit failure. So, question is, if u have supposedly 50 mill followers, where r they in real life. Ratings were 200-300 thousand collectively of rerun of same episode.
Fee, it’s probably like hiring mourners to cry at your wake….they probably pay teens to follow them. Lol….but seriously I’m sure some of their followers are paid. They are that DESPERATE.
That’s 2-0 for the Kardashians, first it was the Pimp Mama Kris show getting the ax & now same with Khloe. What’s FYI? I’ve never heard of this channel before, I always thought it was meant to be in E with all things Kardashians. I’m sure her reps are going to say she has another commitments at this time & Lamar. But everyone can look up the ratings so…plus the format of the show seemed quite boring. I saw a clip of Kendall trying to prank Kim K on the phone, very awkward & uncomfortable to watch.

FYI channel used to be the Biography channel. They rebranded, and became more like TLC channel now, with reality shows.

Have to agree. Watching Khloe and ‘celebrities’ drink is not interesting. She might be watchable if she got some media training and learned the skills necessary to be a host. She doesn’t have the knowledge to interview people and I doubt her show had people behind the scenes who knew what material was necessary to allow her to do a good interview or how to procure it. The entire premise was shoddy and ill considered.

My sentiments exactly. I read about the cancelled show yesterday and laughed. Of course if the Kardashians disappeared from our collective consciousness permanently, I would throw a huge party to celebrate LOL!!! There are not many things that I despise as much as I abhor this fame-whore family 😉

I think people are all Kardashianed out. There is too much out there every day why tune in and watch it? They are in the press all the time they have their reality show people need a break they really aren’t that interesting, they shop, have plastic surgery and fake arguements for their “reality” show which is about as real as their butts. Remember when we had a Kardashian free life? Now they are in your face everyday I’m glad it’s been axed they need to all go away for awhile Kardashians and Jenners.
I think they know that if they go away they will never be invited back. It will be the same as with Paris H. everyone will “snap out of it” and start wondering why they ever watched, read or though about anything the K.K. ‘s ever did in the first place.

Khloe sounds uneducated because she really is uneducated. She dropped out of high school when she was around 15 and picked up some “home schooling” program that allowed her to zip through quickly with the minimum requirements. She’s delusional enough to think that means she was very smart.
So Khloe has no idea about what real education involves and how much it would have benefitted her today. She’s not a self-learner and it shows. Maybe it’s just laziness, but her mother gave those girls zero encouragement to be educated in any way. Their father was the only one pushing for that, but the main influence on them was their mother. Kourtney, who lived with her dad by some point and as the oldest was very aware of Demon Mother’s failings as a parent, went to college and she was the one who encouraged Rob to do so too, primarily because that’s what his dad wanted. Their father died after a long illness when Khloe was just 19 (and already just living the lazy life of a rich girl) and Rob was still in high school, I think. Without his dad alive, Rob was all set to chuck the whole idea of college. His surviving parent couldn’t care less about it.
My mother, in contrast, moved heaven and earth to get her kids through college without any of the resources the Kardashians had. My mother hadn’t been able to go to college for financial reasons (she got a job and put her little sister through nursing school) but never stopped learning. She read books and studied languages on her own and took adult classes and attended lectures when she could. The Kardashians by and large seem so ignorant and uninteresting in comparison.

The cancelling of a show because of her concern for Lamar doesn’t fly well because she can obviously go on a family vacation and not worry about it. Most of the rumors were she wanted more money and more control of the show.

Penelope and North are also rocking the same braids as the rest of the family. Penelope’s braids are super long and people are speculating Kourtney used extensions on a child.
The little Beckham girl has been wearing braids for a long time now. These people just watch what other’s do and copy them. I am sick to death of the KarTrash-Jenner-West productions. And that includes this Blac China and Rob stuff. I wonder how much Kris is paying both of them? Doesn’t matter to me because I refuse to watch these twits. Dawn, this is just a small point… We Aussies, and I believe the Brits, too, refer to Harper Beckham’s sometimes hairstyle as “plaits” – just the three strands plaited together, whereas “braids” (to us) are those where strands are woven together, in that more and more hair is added to the original three strands. Harper’s style is considered very age-appropriate. My daughter’s old school friend stayed with us last weekend. My daughter pulled out a photo album, and there she is, on the first day of school, at exactly the same age as Hatper, and also with waist length hair, wearing the exact same plaits. There was another photo, at age 10, with the plaits again. Her friend commented that it was easy to see even tgen that my daughter had a mum who cared about her daughter’s appearance. She said her own mum hacked off her hair so she wouldn’t have to bother with “styling” and that her daughters could just run a comb through it themselves. This brought tears to my eyes. It wasn’t that I wanted my girl “styled” – it was that she was such a tomboy that plaits were an easy, practical way to stop her hair become very tangled, as it often did when left loose. It was no different to when she wore her hair in a pony tail which was then plaited. In addition, my daughter never did become a mini version of me.
Penelope and North have very different hair types, and there are so many cute hairstyles for little girls their age, that wearing the same style as their strumpet “role models” just makes me feel, I don’t know, iffy…?
@SydneySnider – what you call braids, I know as Frech braiding. My granddaughters love when I do it. The difference also between Harper’s hair and Penelope and North’s is that Harper’s hair is her (they have never cut her hair and it is truly that long). Whereas the long braids that North and Penelope were wearing were extensions. I only hope they took them out so that their hair is not damaged.
I find Penelope and North’s braids to be very inappropriate and sad not because of the extensions or the braid itself but because they are meant to emulate both Kim and Khloe. Like baby hos. I apologise for the strong term but it’s like Kim and Khloe want to put their cheap brand on those two innocent cute little girls. and this is where their contamination and influence starts.
There is a snapchat video of Penelope and North playing around calling each other “Kendall and Kylie”. Penelope was Kendall and North was Kylie. MY GOD.
I hope the fake braids were just for some playtime dressup. It doesn’t look like a good thing for tiny kids their age – downright dangerous, actually, as well as inhibiting of free movement. That show was D.O.A. because in spite of that bull that Khloe is the ‘funny’ one she’s really boring and painfully desperate when it comes to a TV that isn’t totally scripted and controlled.
I think she does have the ability to do a show but just as you say it has to be tightly structured. It can’t just be khloe chatting nonchalantly. Maybe if she travelled to fantastic beaches and tasted food and wine and got into nightclubs on film it’d be more interesting to watch.

The women in this family, ESPECIALLY Khloe (and Kris), are deeply, pathologically steeped in control issues as is evident in their relationships with men. They are taking that into the entertainment business with them as though they are players. They do NOT carry ANY clout in the industry and so are sorely mistaken when they try to make demands or run sh^t. They did the same thing with their cosmetics deal and will lose that case and that will not even teach these psychopaths. I read the Civil Complaint, basically Khloe is doing the same thing here and it’s REALLY BAD business. Things aren’t the way I want them so I am going to breach my contract. The end.
They have infiltrated my state! I live in Denver and went skiing in Keystone on Sunday which is pretty close to Vail and I’m glad we didn’t go there instead. I’m kind of surprised they aren’t in Aspen which is the more fancy and expensive ski area. Also, this is a really strange time of year for a ski vacation considering that resorts are just about to shut down and Keystone was a slushy mess by 3:00 on Sunday. With all their money you’d think they would go somewhere with better conditions.
Seriously though, how the hell do her and Kim ski in those super tight pants? It looks like one wrong move and those things are split wide open. I want to be comfortable and warm when skiing – not ‘sexy’ to the point I can’t move. At least the Jenner looks comfortable.

Do you really think the Kardashian family paid for this trip? The E cameras are with them and it’s a paid trip. I think PMK knew Rob was going to propose and spoke to E producers about it. They probably thought it would be more “dramatic” if the family was out of town when the news broke of the engagement. It will all be played out on their show in a month. They were running out of story lines so this is perfect for them.
Ha, I suppose that does explain why they are in Vail then, I didn’t even think of that. Vail is cheaper this time of year since everything is winding down. This is like one of the cheapest ski vacations (that still seems ‘expensive’ because Vail is considered an upper-tier place to ski) they could put together for them last minute.
I never saw the show but it was my impression people liked it. Did it not get good ratings?

No, Khloe needs AA first. Like her mother, she has a real problem with alcohol. My guess is that she is at risk for addiction to other drugs she may use also. I thought it was pretty insensitive to put her on a drinking show. Khloe needs to give up the Kocktails entirely. Anything she says about Lamar’s problems in this regard is intended simply as a distraction from her own problems. Lamar wasn’t drinking and drugging alone when they were together.
Once she’s worked through her own issues with alcohol and other drugs, she can work through her problems with other people In her life who have had the same problem.
… But, but, but then she’d be doing something altruistic and I believe she does not have the ability to do so (unless it is a storyline for a K show).
I believe the only reason Khloe is still helping Lamar is for damage control of the K family secrets he has been privy to. If she pays for his rent, food, and otherwise helps him out she can control a whole lot … but not what is truly needed (substance abuse). THAT has to come from some deep desire within Lamar himself.
