A lot of people love Solange Knowles’ style. While I think Solange always has better style than her sister (Beyonce), I also think that Solange goes too hard on the “quirky” thing. At various times, it feels like an affectation, a forced-hipster-ness. So while I enjoyed Solange’s crazy-pants “Lemonade” ensemble at the Met Gala, I also rolled my eyes a little bit. She’s having fun, for sure. But she also wants people to know that she’s so much more avant-garde than them. This attitude was summed up when Solange tweeted this AT THE MET GALA. Like, she was tweeting out sh-t while she was at the gala.

I’m on board this train. I can see Twigs grating on Solange, given that Twigs has talked so much in interviews as being firstly an artist. She (FKA) is a great vocalist and a songwriter, can dance like no one’s business, and makes some avant garde fashion choices. Direct competition for Solange. Tee hee, drink that bitter tea, Solange.

Sub-tweeting is more commonly used as a word to describe talking about someone with out “@ing” them or outright naming them. On FB, it’s known as “vaguebooking”.
I meant it in the way stoner describes. ^ A subliminal tweet is when you direct comments at someone without addressing them. People also pull this stuff with Facebook statuses when they don’t want to directly confront someone but they want the satisfaction of feeling like they put them in their place.
