OMG that video! I loved the friendship bracelets with “Joe” and “Barack”. I am going to miss Obama so much.

    • mayamae says:

I’m going to miss him, too. The poor man looks exhausted. The rest of his life is going to be a breeze compared to the last eight. The video was hilarious. “Joffrey …… thank God”.

    • tracking says:

He is so good at this part of the job, so likable and a great sport.

      • Esmom says:

Yes, he just oozes charm and likeability. Like many, I’ll miss him like nobody’s business.

    • Colette says:

Six more months until President Trump or President Clinton takes office.

    • SusanneToo says:

Given what we have to choose from, can we just declare a monarchy and make Barack Obama king? And Queen Michelle!

    • gwen says:

I will miss him too and wish we could keep him for another 8 years but I imagine he can’t wait to get the hell out of that house.

  2. Nopity Nope says:

“Joffrey. Thank God.” – here for the POTUS hating on that little jerk ANY day of the week.

  3. Rhiley says:

I watched the snippet of the Kanye video that was posted on Celebitchy yesterday, and yeah, it is completely ick and very disturbing. But Lena Dunham doesn’t get that they way to confront Kanye is to not confront him at all. He wants people to react, but not reacting is the best revenge on Kanye. Ol’ Lena Dunham, though, can’t keep her mouth shut.

  4. Bettyrose says:

Listing dead people in Westeros sounds like moving a sand dune with tweezers. Did Obama lose a bet or something? (LMAO @ “Does Jon count?”)

  5. Lilacflowers says:

One of my friends keeps a running tally on her Facebook page of who is dead, who is still dead, who is no longer dead, various injuries, and states of freedom or captivity, and who is missing, including dire wolves and dragons in GOT and she distinguishes between the books and TV show.

  6. Tiffany says:

There is not a link but I want to post about her. Pat Summitt passed away today. If you follow sports are not, look this fantastic coach up if you have the time. The greatest, period, has passed and there will never be another like her.

    • Colette says:

      RIP
100 percent of her players graduated from college.

    • Chicken says:

I grew up a Tennessee fan (my own alma mater eventually superseded UT’s importance to me), and Pat Summitt basically achieved deity status in my family, and it was completely deserved. My grandparents only had one coffee table book, and it was by Pat Summit, prominently displayed in their (orange-accented) house.

      • Tiffany says:

I watched a ESPN 30 for 30 with her and Tyler a few years ago. If was after her dementia and retirement was announced and the whole premise was for her to reminisce before her memory started to fade. It was funny and heartbreaking at the same time. I recommend it and I hope they might play it sometime this week.

    • Lilacflowers says:

Pat Summit, such an amazing woman, such an amazing talent, such a sad end. May she rest in peace.

    • Rhiley says:

Thank you for mentioning the Great Pat Summitt, Tiffany. She was so much fun to watch. Such a dynamic force, and a gentle soul, in one.

  7. PR says:

I would have preferred he was too busy running the country and hadn’t even heard of the show Game of Thrones.

    • Colette says:

Well Donald Trump doesn’t watch tv so he will spend all his time running the country when he is not tweeting insults to foreign leaders.

    • Esmom says:

      Please.

    • lisa2 says:

Everyone gets time off.. Even the leader of the free world.

    • Carmen says:

:eyeroll: If President Obama eradicated Zika-carrying mosquitos, some people would be up in arms that he had violated those poor critters’ rights to live and breed.

    • Tiffany :) says:

It is not healthy (or rational) for someone with incredible responsibilities to be working 24/7. The brain needs rest and leisure.

    • pinetree13 says:

YEAH HOW DARE HE WATCH TV! And he should also wear adult diapers instead of taking those luxuriously long bathroom breaks all the time! What a shameful slacker. I mean at the very least he could have had a feeding tube installed so he wasn’t wasting so much time with meals.

    • lilacflowers says:

“I would have preferred he was too busy running the country and hadn’t even heard of the show Game of Thrones.”

You do realize that this was a promotion for how easy it is to register to vote, don’t you? This was to encourage participation in our government. God forbid the President of the United States encourage voter participation, right? By the way, promoting the culture of the US is also part of the President’s job.

  8. Vava says:

    I love Obama.

  9. Lauren says:

Obama is so charming and relatable! I’m going to miss him and Michelle. Now we just have to wait for president Clinton or president Trump.

    • Betti says:

I just hope that my US friends vote for Clinton and don’t repeat the massive mistake that we Brits just did and let the blue collar worker, narrow minded middle classes and silver voters vote in a turkey based on imagined fear and lies. Please, learn from our mistake.

      • Lauren says:

I’m an american expat in Italy now so I’m getting full coverage of the Brexit and it has me really pissed. A lot of your countrymen voted without fully knowing or understanding what they were getting into. I identify mostly as european so the whole thing is bothering me immensely.

  10. HeyThere! says:

I will miss him!!! I’m so happy my baby was born in 2015 while he was in office. It’s in the baby book! I didn’t want to have to put Trump…omg I can’t imagine our world if he’s in office. Help us.

  11. Dangles says:

I wonder if he can list all the innocent people his drone strikes have killed?

  12. Jwoolman says:

Sadly, none of them can. All the US Presidents have blood on their hands, with the only possible exceptions being ones who weren’t in office long enough. Not sure if Ford was able to do much harm, for instance. Some engage in more mayhem than others, of course, so at least Obama killed considerably fewer than his immediate predecessor (by orders of magnitude).

    • Veronica says:

It’s pretty difficult for any leader of any empire to keep their hands clean. This being said, the drones are probably one of the major contentions I had with his administration and probably one of the biggest reasons I didn’t vote for him in the second term.

  13. Veronica says:

It’s a compliment to how charismatic Obama that I disagree with so many of his administrative policies and still find him quite charming as an individual. I really think his understanding of how the social media generation should be engaged is a big part of what kept him popular with younger voters. I’ve yet to see a GOP candidate quite so savvy where Internet media is concerned.

  14. Vox says:

I seriously couldn’t do that and I’ve read all the books many, many times. It seriously depends on who you’re counting, if it’s just characters from the major families or if it’s named side characters like Roz on the show or Lem Lemoncloak too. If it was just the major families I could do it but there are too many secondary characters on the show like the Greatjon who died to name. Also, it’s super confusing to try and keep track of who’s alive and who’s dead on the show vs the books. They kill off more characters on the show than in the books.
