Former Melrose Place star Jack Wagner reached out to his Twitter followers on Sunday to start something of an onine support group for those affected by addiction. The catalyst was that Jack and ex-wife Kristina Wagner’s 21-year-old son, Harrison, was missing. Apparently Harrison, who struggles with drugs and alcohol, recently relapsed and then disappeared for five days. Jack has also battled addiction in his past and decided to connect with others on Twitter:
I'm going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions & struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I'll start

I fear for my youngest sons safety. Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He's relapsed & is MIA 5days

He received many responses and a great deal of support. Jack sent a tweet yesterday updating everyone that Harrison had been in contact but asked that the dialogue keep going.
Jack Wagner spent hours talking with fans about addiction struggles after his son relapsed and disappeared for nearly a week.
On Sunday, the General Hospital alum’s youngest son, Harrison, went missing after a relapse with drugs and alcohol. Now the 56-year-old actor is speaking out on addiction in hopes to help other families who’ve found themselves in the same situation.
The former Melrose Place star, who shares Harrison with his ex-wife Kristina, went on to thank fans for their support and positive thoughts for his family.
Wagner later updated fans on Monday, saying that his son has “been in touch,” but that he was old enough to make his own life choices.
Wagner continues to tell fans to share their own stories and struggles on Twitter where he has been offering up his support and encouragement in exchange.

In college, I stopped watching General Hospital in favor of Days of Our Lives, which was what the girls in my dorm were watching. But I would occasionally sneak off to watch Jack and Kristina as Frisco and Felicia because they were so hot together. I’m glad they are still close because it is much easier to have the other parent to lean on at times like this. I can’t imagine what they went through while Harrison was missing. Kristina has been filming with their oldest son Peter so at least the family is together. Addiction likely played a part in Jack and Heather Locklear’s breakup as well. This demon seems to keep coming back for him in every form.
I do like this use of social media, reaching out to people to offer support rather than engage in an attack. I am impressed that he has been true to his word, and he is still responding to people who have reached out to him, including asking some to direct message him. We still don’t know much of what happened or how Harrison is doing but I hope he is also finding the support he needs.

This kids is what we call a mensch.
Or you know he has a serious addiction, and needs help. Not to be written off as a “mensch”.
Miss J is referring to the father, not the son.
Kirbythekid, ‘mensch’ is not an insult. The exact opposite.
You can’t be written off as a mensch. Mensch is a good guy.

mensch means a person of integrity, honor, of strength, a good guy.
Mensch is a good thing. No one writing anyone off.
I loved Frisco and Felicia…..
Me too! And ‘All I need’ cheesy 80s greatness best of luck to him and his son.
Me too!! I never switched overto Days … In my soap watching days it was GH or nothing!
Ha, AMC was my favorite but GH came in close behind. It was only ABC for me, lol.
Always preferred Days but my high school BFF loved GH.
I did, too! I remember being bummed to hear when they split up in real life.
Also wishing them strength during these tough times. I heard a really eye opening and amazing Fresh Air interview recently with a woman who’s written a book called “Unbroken Brain,” which looks at addiction in an entirely new way, and encourages treating it like a medical/developmental disorder vs something to be “prayed away” or eradicated via tough love. It just made so much sense:

Fascinating, Esmom. Thanks for sharing.
Loved them back in the 80s, and I had such a crush back then on Jack/Frisco. I think over half my university was in the common area every day when GH was on back then.
I am sorry about his son. I hope he gets help. But what the h*ll did Jack do to his face.? Those eyes are the male equivalent of the female cat face.
you wrote what I was going to. I feel bad for him and his son and hope he gets help but what the everloving crap did he do to his face? if he hadn’t been ID’d, I wouldn’t have known who he was other than “a guy who slightly resembles Jack Wagner”.
He has an entirely new face! I would never have recognised him.
Exactly, hmmm! I thought maybe the photo was of his son…then I realized the son was only 21.
Who IS that man in the photo?
Looks like he got the Zellwegger. He’s always had small eyes and at his age the sagging skin was probably starting to affect his vision.
But yeah, thank goodness his name was there or I wouldn’t have known him at all.
It’s always good when someone with a public profile comes out with something like this, and I hope Harrison is able to get sober. I also loved the Frisco & Felicia storyline on GH, but never think of Jack without remembering a letter from my sister, (a feature reporter at a daily paper in the ’80s) that began “Yesterday I interviewed Jack Wagner. What a douchebag!”
I’ve read that the pair is in touch after the son went missing.
Also, I was totally team Days of our Lives
I wanted to be Kristina malandro when I was 12 years old. Too much daytime tv over the summers at my house.
I still watch Generalt Hospital. I’ve never not watched it because my mom used to watch it. Lol
I hope their son can get the help he needs. ❤️❤️
Now I am going to have “All I Need” running through my head this morning. Big GH fan in high school, super fan of Frisco and Felicia. So sorry to read about their struggles with their son. I can’t imagine how painful it must be for them as parents. I wish them all the best going forward and kudos to Jack for reaching out to the community for support.
I really enjoy both of them on When Calls the Heart. It’s super corny but sometimes I just want to watch something “feel good”. I didn’t even know they were divorced because they get along so well. I hope their son comes through this and finds the help he needs.
Good for him that he was kind enough to talk to people about addiction online. That is very refreshing actually. He seems like a good guy.
I can’t even begin to describe how anxious and upset I would be if I had a 21 year old son vanish for five days, knowing he has addiction issues. The job of being a parent doesn’t stop when your kids turn 18. You still want to help them, protect them, love them, guide them and you sure as hell still worry about them. That worry and wanting to fix things never goes away. Hopefully Harrison can stay sober and find a program that gives him strength.
Jack Wagner used to be so handsome and sexy. What happened?! All that Botox has made him look like a thinner Martha Stewart.
Wth!! Why can’t Hollywood men age naturally? They all look horrible after Botox.
Wagner, every 80’s glam rocker, Hasselhoff, Ray Liotta and countless others look like crap. Just stop it. It’s not sexy. Ugh!!
Frisco is AAAAAAALLLLL IIIIIII NEEEEEEEEDDD….
sorry. The song is stuck in my brain. Still love it.
Hotness knows no age.
But why is it he’s had plastic surgery and still is hot albeit different but so many female contemporaries’ plastic surgery is botched? Life is not fair.
