Here are some photos from last night’s London premiere of Suicide Squad. The vibe on the red carpet feels a lot different now that we know the film is a pile of awfulness, right? Now it seems like the actors are just going through the motions, making sure that they fulfill their contracts and hoping that the film doesn’t lose money. Hint: it probably won’t lose money, but that doesn’t mean they should be proud of the film they made.
Margot Robbie wore Gucci – an exquisite dress with a tiger’s face on the bust. I actually really like this. So far, Robbie has gotten the cream of the crop when it comes to the best pieces from the hottest collections. I was hoping to see some Tom Ford during this tour, but this Gucci and the McQueen earlier this week were great choices.
Cara Delevingne wore Alexander McQueen. This is meh to me – I like her hair and I like the boots, and the rest of it bores me.
And here are some of the dudes of the premiere, including surprise appearances by The Batfleck (so sad) and Henry Cavill. Sorry, dudes. Another sh-tty DC Comic film. But at least we get the return of Sad Batfleck. Cavill wore Dunhill, Joel Kinnaman wore Salvatore Ferragamo, a suit in the shade of “baby poop.”

I am appreciating MR ‘s interesting choices. The waistline is a bit off for her figure, but the piece is so cool I nearly don’t care.

I like Margot – she’s got an edge that I like – and I’ll be watching her career with interest.

And is it weird she made it? She’s a pretty blonde from an English speaking country. It’s not like she’s Lupita Nyong’o or Alicia Vikander who are actually foreigners.
I like Margot, I think she’s talented. But I kinda agree. There’s something about her that just seems very generic to me. She’s so perfect and pretty, it’s boring. She’s like Dakota Johnson with more talent and less nepotism.
I hope her career takes off, though. She’s good.
This. Margot Robbie is beautiful but let’s not act like a gorgeous blond, thin, white woman “making it” as the new “it” girl is some kind of miracle. She is EXACTLY the kind of woman who “makes it.” Exactly the kind of woman who no one disputes is pretty because there is nothing remotely ethnic about her appearance. She is absolutely the same kind of safe, male gaze woman that Hollywood likes. And in 5 years, she will be replaced by another pretty, thin blond because that’s how this goes.
Kathleen you can’t blame Margot Robbie for all of that. If the people buying movie tickets don’t watch movies with more diverse casts than they will not produce the films. I frankly think she is boring to look at and not very pretty at all. Her “making it” is not a miracle but it is remarkable considering the thousands of Blondes(you know white people) that are in hollywood.
Actually, people do go and see movies with diverse casts and they do very well.
That’s not the problem, the movie going audience is not the problem. It’s the higher ups, the producers and financiers who have their own agendas and only want certain people to fit certain boxes.
I don’t get the roaring tiger top paired with the granny floral embroidered skirt on the dress…nope…

I think Cara looks great but WOW was she terrible in the movie. An actress she is not.
Where’s Adam Beach???? He was looking hot in braids..and a black leather vest. Quite the contrast to the brylcream and vest squad.

Sometimes I wonder if I am not evolved enough because the tiger dress and the drgaon dress are just too gimmicky for me and I really can’t see the ‘high art’ aspect of them.

I’ll be a lone voice of dissent: I don’t like Margot’s dress. It’s almost got a kind of dirndl-ish peasant-ish folksy thing which I just don’t really get on with.
Yep, I don’t like it either. I like the bodice, it’s interesting, but I don’t like the fabric of the skirt, it looks stiff and I don’t like the color. Ugh, I think it’s fugly.
LoveMargot dress and LikedCaras outfit but Afflect is giving me Alec Baldwin vibes and not in a good way.

That mushy looking tiger is cracking me up for some reason. Its like someone tried to draw a tiger after a few shots with no reference photo.

I’m usually meh about her style, but Cara looks sensational here. The hair, the makeup, the top of the dress are perfect. I even don’t mind the see trough skirt or ever the knee boots which I usually hate. She looks like an actual supermodel.
Margot looks okay, but nothing special.
The dress is a big “NO” for me. It looks like something a toddler would wear to their first day in Pre-K. I think I may have had a dress exactly like that as a child.
Cara’s pulling that outfit off in a way only supermodels can.
You gotta give it to Margot, she knows the film is absolute crap but she’s out there every day promoting the heck out of it. That dress is hideous, however. I don’t think even my three-year-old would wear it.
….that’s a grade A skool fashion project frock Margot is wearing…fashion design students must be smh in bewilderment…someone yesterday made a comment on Wills shoes …both days he’s worn shoes that show the color of his suit..me I like that…Ben Affleck must be so so busy…he’s got all the DC movies in the works plus yesterday I saw a trailer for The Accountant. ..I’m probably going to see them all…I loved some of the shots of him in BvS…I also like conflicted Alisters who walk the walk rather than talk…

have you seen the film for yourself Kaiser? because while the reviews had a few accurate points the overwhelming majority was absolute BS. I saw it and i’m a picky comic book geek and i liked it. yes there were some minor issues but nothing like the reviews imply.
