Kanye West is really sad that Kim’s family didn’t support him at NYFW

FFN_KimYe_GGFF_083016_52159476

As we discussed previously, Kanye West’s NYFW show was an utter mess. It was a disaster. Fashion writers, journalists, models, friends, everybody had to wait for hours. People got stuck on buses. Models passed out from the heat and humidity. The clothes were falling off, the heels were breaking, and very few people were happy about it. While Kanye has big ideas and somehow he manages to execute them, most of the time, Kanye does have issues with getting his big ideas to translate into something workable, commercial and/or considerate of coworkers’ well-being. In the wake of Kanye’s NYFW disaster, Kanye is feeling burned. Burned by his sisters-in-law who didn’t show up!

Kanye West has a bone to pick with a few members of wife Kim Kardashian West’s famous family. In the wake of mixed reviews for Wednesday’s Yeezy Season 4 fashion show on New York City’s Roosevelt island, a source tells PEOPLE the rapper–turned–designer is taking issue that he didn’t feel the support of his sisters- and mother-in-law. Though Kanye, 39, and Kim, 35, welcomed the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s youngest sisters, 20-year-old Kendall Jenner and 19-year-old Kylie Jenner, the source says, “Both Kim and Kanye would have wanted the rest of her family in N.Y.C., too.”

Almost seven months after a near-complete family turnout at February’s Yeezy Season 3 presentation, the source shares that “it was a big disappointment to Kanye that Kris, Kourtney and Khloé didn’t attend his fashion show.”

The frustration could stem from an unusually high level of stress in preparation for this week’s event: “Kanye has been very stressed about his fashion show,” says the source. “He is a perfectionist and was a nightmare before the show.”

And he wasn’t the only one feeling the pressure as the source notes that “Kim has definitely been annoyed. She is hoping that he will calm down now after the fashion show is over.”

[From People]

“Kim has definitely been annoyed. She is hoping that he will calm down now after the fashion show is over.” Ooooooh, that’s interesting. It’s true that the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan came out for his spring show. Khloe is currently on vacation, I think, and lord knows what Lucifer’s Homegirl is doing. And who ever says, “Man, I wish Kourtney was here?”

Meanwhile, if you have five minutes today, I would definitely encourage you to read Page Six’s interview with Vanessa Beecroft. Beecroft is a performance artist and Kanye’s friend. Beecroft and Kanye collaborated on the Yeezy NYFW show. The piece just confirms, for me, why the show was a disaster: because Beecroft is even crazier than Kanye. Beecroft insists that having fashion people wait for hours was all part of the master plan, because it was all performance art, meditation, observation and emotional stress.

Here’s Kim modeling some Yeezy boots. Yes, he made boots made of clear plastic.

Ok so, clear boots, a bralette, and cut off mom jeans? That’s the master plan?

    I miss old Kanye.

  2. VegasSchmagus says:

can’t even imagine how much sweat those boots would generate…………….

    • Sisi says:

That’s the ingenious part of clear plastic: you don’t have to imagine it, you can see it!

      ….

      Omg they’re so fugly…

    • Lilacflowers says:

In some pictures, you can see rivulets running down her calves. She is also wearing a see-through bra as a shirt under the jacket. Because she is not a Free the Nipple gal.

      • swak says:

There are pictures out there of this outfit where she let the nip slip. Also, she wore several outfits that week that were see through enough to see her nipples. So much for not being a Free the Nipple gal.

      • Michelina says:

Hahaha I forgot she said she wasn’t a free the nipple gal. Kim has no idea what she stands for or who she is. She does what she’s told, takes credit if it’s popular, and does anything for attention.

    • kitty says:

Made for hazardous situations, good for protecting yourself in emergencies.

    • Fl girl says:

and athlete’s foot! They must smell so horrible…hey, maybe they are disposable?

    • JenniferJustice says:

Those boots look like part of some kind of crime outfit – plastic so you don’t leave your DNA, and yet..fashionable.

      • Stumpycorgi says:

Haha so true! Prophylactic-chic. I’m not proud of this, but my first thought upon seeing them was “leg condoms?”

    • carrie says:

Not just the sweat, but the way that the leg is reflected through the buckling plastic gives the illusion of cellulite and pockmarks…I’ve seen enough of KK’s legs to know that they are in better shape than they look through those boots. So they’re crazy unflattering as well as crazy uncomfortable- WIN WIN!

  3. Clare says:

Sounds like he needs a good project manager on his team. Shit like buses breaking down and it being too hot in the venue…get a professional running the show and that stuff wont happen – and if it does, the fire is put out BEFORE you see the smoke.

  4. yuck says:

Those boots are toe fungus waiting to happen.

  5. LadyAnne says:

    Awww poor thing.

  6. Frida says:

Are those mom jorts on Kim?

  7. Lilli says:

Seriously why do people buy this fugly shit?!

  8. QQ says:

LOLOLOL She looks LUDICROUS with This Summer Canadian Tux Semi Formal…. Also her legs might as well be cased in Saran Wrap, would be more effective

    • Erinn says:

I was a kid in the 90’s IN Canada and I’ve never worn the famed Canadian Tuxedo. I definitely owned a denim bucket hat with a fake yellow daisy that folded the brim up – but no jean shirt/jacket with jeans. Kim has no excuse for that mess haha

      • Grey says:

Erinn, I too was a kid in Canada in the 90’s… I totally had a jean shirt/appliqued jeans combo WITH boots. Preserved for all time in some unfortunate family photos. Haha. Count yourself lucky!

      • Marieeeee says:

@Erinn as a daily comment section lurker here, you shall forevermore be Blossom in my mind’s eye thanks to the description of that hat!

      • detritus says:

Ahh, see that’s because it’s actually the Texas Tuxedo.
Canadians just don’t like to point it out…

  9. Melissa Melissa says:

Only McQueen could pull off starting a show late on purpose and deliver something beautiful and meaningful. As a fashion designer, I think Kanye is simply delusional, but he’ll always get press for his antics no matter how outrageous those antics are.

As for the family not showing up, I’m a little surprised because I honestly believed they were contractually obligated to do so, thus giving me some odd satisfaction that Kris Jenner is still running a tight ship no matter how famous and credible the spouse of a child is. But if the Kardashian-West marriage ever crashes, I can only imagine what a tabloid trainwreck that would be.

  10. Lynnie says:

That family won’t support you unless it boosts their profits. (See Caitlyn)

As for the boots, I feel if it was executed by someone who knew what they were doing, and maybe made of stiffer material, they would’ve actually looked cool.

  11. paolanqar says:

I would choose a yacht holiday in Italy with my mother any time over that painful ”fashion show’.

Kim and Kanye are now blaming the bad reviews on the lack of support from their family members.
Those rags are awful and shouldn’t even see the daylight, let alone have them on models in Central Park.
Grow up Kanye, you suck and every respected editor ( minus Anna Wintour) know this and they cannot endure another collection of uninspired, dirty looking spanx and ill fitting boots and hoodies. Truth is you are not a stylist.

I think desperation is strong in the Kardashian’s household: Kris and Kim do not know how to make Kanye believable.

    • Flowerchild says:

Nor is he a designer. I think Wintour is in too deep to back out know. Anna went to bed for Kanye and made the fashion world talk him some what seriously. Kanye has made a fool out of her and made people question her role in the fashion world, she can’t back out now and prove them right.

      • Beatrice says:

I read the Vogue report on the Yeezy fashion show and it made me sick. According to that rag, Kayne’s collection is wonderful (nude tones and body conscious) and they did not even mention the late start, stifling heat, or disintegrating clothes/shoes. It sounded like a complete triumph–talk about revisionist! Anna is really in too deep!! Vogue is over!!

      • Flowerchild says:

Yes the write up was sickening, but Anna had to talk it up because it’s getting trashed everywhere else. She can’t be truthful because she had a hand in this disaster and she gave him a platform.

Yes Anna has dragged American Vogue through the gutter, why she has not been fired is beyond me. The shareholders should have gotten rid of her sometimes ago.

(I ment “Now” not “Know”) in my above comment.

    • zinjojo says:

If you want to read actual reviews of his show (not the b.s. that Vogue is spewing) head over to The Cut at NY mag. Cathy Horyn, a very well-respected fashion critic wrote a piece comparing the lack of professionalism of Kanye’s show to Tom Ford’s show later the same day, which went really well. There’s other writers who were at the show with reviews too, and talked about how upsetting it was to see the models in distress/fainting and no one helping them for some time.

But it’s the lack of support from the K-Klan that upsets Kanye, not his fiasco of a show.

  12. KB says:

“And whoever says, “Man, I wish Kourteney was here?”

    That is hilarious

  13. HK9 says:

What the heck is Kim wearing??!!?? It’s like the emperor’s new clothes 2.0-wow.

  14. eggy weggs says:

Point #1 I just read an interview with Vanessa Beecroft — shoot, I think it was in a past issue of New York Times Style. She was more self-centered than the celebrity interviewing her. I don’t throw out “narcissism” that often, but she came across as someone who really loves herself.

Point #2: Kim looks uncomfortable in those clothes. I am not shaming her for her stomach stretch marks, but she looks like she wishes she could cover them up. Maybe I am projecting. Imagine working so hard to be so beautiful — and she is, truly, beautiful, no matter how she arrived at that point — and then your husband lays outfits like this out for you. Hey, girl, I’ma let you dress like a real person but let me finish with these Ziplock bag boots.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

      Ziplock bag boots- snort! 😂

    • Michelina says:

Vanessa Beecroft is controversial to say the least. And not in an artistic, interesting way. She’s a disaster. She’s made some really clueless remarks about race, and uses black children as props in a lot of her work. I read in the NY Post this morning that Kanye and Vanessa Beecroft are claiming that they purposely made the fashion editors and others wait as some sort of performance piece/statement. I think he has worn out his welcome with a lot of people in that circle after this show.

  15. bucketbot says:

On reading the headline, the only reason that I could think of was that Kanye is ruing the fact that he couldn’t get the advantage of the free publicity that the whole family in one place for HIS show would generate. Just my theory.

    • swak says:

Last time, remember, they dragged Lamar Odom to the fashion show. The time before that it was Caitlyn. This year the best they could do is Tyga. Wonder if it’s the beginning of the end for Kim and Kanye. They all knew when NYFW was and when he was showing, so could have planned their vacations at a different time.

      • bucketbot says:

I personally felt at the time that Lamar didn’t really want to be there but he came because the whole family/Kanye/someone probably talked to him about “we are fam, fams stick together” nonsense, but who knows.

And Tyga was there? bhahaha. That guy. Really. Literally doesn’t do anything other than tag around Kylie.

ETA: People trying to legitimize him. i really want to see how that goes. I wonder if Kylie is pregnant or something, cause other than that there is no reason for Kanye to sign him to his label.

Oh and for ‘it’s the beginning of the end for Kim and Kanye’ – i hope so. But we’ve been hoping for a long time but PMK isn’t done.

      • swak says:

@bucketbot, you’re right, don’t think Lamar wanted to be there, but what great publicity it was for them. Also, if Kylie were pregnant it would be shouted as loud as possible to outshine Rob and Chyna.

      • Michelina says:

Unfortunately Kanye has decided to sign Tyga to his label, which is so obviously an attempt to hook up his sister-in-law’s pathetic predatory boyfriend because he is BROKE and constantly having things repo-ed or being sued for not paying his bills. I think this means that from now on, we’ll be seeing more Tyga’s talentless self.

  16. Lilacflowers says:

By calling that disaster “art,” they get to skirt around the labor statutes that would have afforded those models protections. Kanye raises mistreatment of women to an art form yet again.

    • Erica_V says:

Ohhhh Lilac I didn’t even think of that. Such a good point!

    • kemandrap says:

EXCELLENT point – it’s amazing, they’re all clueless when it comes to presenting real ideas to the real world, but they become GENIUSES of sorts when it comes to scamming those whose products or services they’ve purchased and then want to back out of payment to and for them. They personify narcissism and narcissist; it is insulting (and actually criminal at times) how they actually treat their dedicated fan base and steal from them in so many different ways.

  17. Annie says:

I laughed out loud when I saw those ugly ass boots. Too funny. The whole “outfit” is hysterical.

  18. Tash says:

“And who ever says, ‘Man, I wish Kourtney was here?’”…LOL! That’s mean 🙂

  19. Darkladi says:

She looks a hooker circa 1983

  20. DavidBowie says:

Wow, that is one ugly get up.

  21. Kelly says:

Every time I see an outfit like this, all I can think of is Dobby, the house elf. All he wanted was clothes, and here is Kim just throwing away another opportunity to wear real ones.

  22. Kanye should dedicate all future collections to Jeff Goldblum because all this nonsense is a strong case of, “We were so busy trying to think of we could…”

Kanye has terrible ideas that he can’t execute well and even the fashion people are getting sick of ‘it’s art’ being the excuse for why every show he does has so many fails.

  23. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

    1. Egad! She is retaliating against being pressured to appear in that Halloweenish get-up.

    2. This needs to become a meme- Sad Kanye, like the Sad Keanu. It would be EPIC!

  24. Crox says:

How affordable are these clothes? Not the prices themselves, but f.e. for an average American (I would guess lower middle class?), can you buy pieces for everyday wardrobe, or for going out once in a while to show you’re wearing a Kanye West piece, or not affordable at all, like only for richer people? The pieces are fugly but those often come with a serious price.

    • Flowerchild says:

His stuff is way overpriced I think he had a T-shirt priced at $500 at one point, which tells you the price of the other pieces. His “clothing” are also not investment pieces which can justify its price.

I mean nothing in his collection can be worn for many different occasions, or can be mix match with stuff the average person already has in their closet nor are they timeless.

      • Michelina says:

Yeah, I just saw a plain sweatshirt he’s selling for $350. I can’t even tell you what color it was, because it was like a drab brownish greenish black. His designs are all shapeless crap that looks like really old, beat up clothing that is ready for the trash.

He’s also been selling plain t-shirts with prints on them for $65-70 at his shows and pop up stores. The brand of the t-shirts is Gildan, which sell for $5 at stores like Walmart and Target. I read online that a lot of his fanboys are just going to t-shirt printing shops and having exact replicas made at a total cost of about $15.

      • Dolkite says:

Don’t forget you can still buy a T-shirt with his mother’s name on it. That’s right; his mother dies from plastic surgery and he decides to make money by printing her name on T-shirts.

    • Sasha says:

Nothing that features in Vogue can be affordable for an average American.
I did a quick search on the internet. A sweatshirt is $385.

  25. JK3 says:

    “Kourtney is currently on vacation”

Isn’t that basically her entire life?

  26. Mollie says:

    Never change, Kanye. Never change.😛😅😂

  27. Tessa says:

Picture 1, right ankle – is that condensation?

  28. Pandy says:

I think Kim is getting exactly what she deserves. Kanyes clothing is shit. And the fact that this IDIOT is strutting around in various fugly boots wearing a BRA as a top or just netting minus the undergarments … I have no words. She looks like a fool
    And she is one.

  29. Michelina says:

I really wish Kim’s nipple tour would end. I don’t really understand why she’s found it necessary to wear only see through tops lately, but it got old pretty quickly. We all have nipples. No one cares about yours, Kim.

  30. mar says:

if this does not top the worst dressed list, than I am really out of touch with fashion.

This is clearly a fashion felony

  31. Colette says:

What about HIS family? Were any of his aunts, uncles cousins there?

  32. The Original Mia says:

Kim looks like a reject from Blade Runner.

  33. swak says:

Was looking at the schedule for NYFW and no where on any day is Kanye mentioned as showing – not even on this past Wed. So is he really a part of NYFW or does he just rent out a venue, have a show and hope that everyone thinks he is truly part of it?

  34. Bread and Circuses says:

The *idea* of those clear boots is kind of neat, but they don’t actually look good. Maybe if it were tinted plastic? You almost can’t see them. And what’s the point of wearing boots that are thigh-high and guaranteed to be sweaty and sticky inside if they make you look like you aren’t wearing boots at all?

    • Veronica says:

A mesh or latticed leather with plastic inserts might work better because it would allow for ventilation. Margiela did a half leather/half mesh boot several years back that was actually pretty neat looking.

  35. detritus says:

    She looks uncomfortable and unhappy.
I bet she gets her tummy ‘fixed’ soon.
Tbh it looks great, esp considering she made two people in there.
I have made zero people and my tummy doesn’t look that nice.

  36. Paris says:

Plastic boots. God! Klassy and smelly boots.

  37. j.walmer says:

She looks like a porn star, wait nevermind.
