A few years back, LeAnn Rimes was having consistent health problems. It seemed like any time LeAnn had any kind of gig, she would end up canceling it last-minute, claiming she had some kind of virus, or dental emergency, or something else. What was funny about it was that almost always, just a day or two after LeAnn canceled something, she inevitably posted lots of bikini pics from her beach vacation. It really did seem like her “illnesses” were used an excuse for LeAnn to strut around in bikinis. People got wise to LeAnn pretty quickly, and some of us hoped she’d learned her lesson, the lesson being “you’re not that popular anymore so don’t alienate the few fans you have left.” Well, guess what? LeAnn canceled a weekend concert at the last minute. She posted on Twitter:
Fans and Friends, I am incredibly disappointed not to be with you this weekend. I have been struggling with severe TMJ and have injured my bone and jaw. It’s left me unable to sing at this moment. I have been put on rest in order to recover. I am truly sorry for this horrible timing, but I am happy to say we have new dates set for the shows. We’ll be in Angola, IN Nov. 5th and Carmel, IN Nov. 18th. Thank you for the understanding and see very soon. I appreciate you all. LeAnn
TMJ is temporomandibular joint syndrome, which is one of LeAnn’s frequent excuses for canceling concerts and appearances. TMJ is a real thing affecting thousands, if not millions of people. TMJ is also the excuse LeAnn gives for her constant dental work. Since I’m not a doctor or an oral surgeon, I’m not going to speak to the validity of LeAnn’s claims. I will say that I think there’s a pretty good chance that LeAnn just wanted to spend the weekend at the beach OR Eddie was threatening to go on a “boys’ only” vacation and she had to stay home and throw a tantrum. We’ll probably never know!

I don’t know. It must be nice to just cancel big commitments whenever you’re not feeling 100%. Between the fibro symptoms and migraines, hell – I’ve gone to work with kidney stone pain… I’d get nothing done if I got to take time off every time I didn’t feel up to doing whatever I needed to do.
I totally get what you’re saying and I am no fan of LeAnn Rimes but IF–big if–she does have TMJ it can be very painful just to open your mouth or to talk (I’ve experienced this) so I can see her having to cancel a concert.
I know I thought the same thing, if she is for real, my TMJ does not let me speak, usually accompanied by a massive migraine.
Oh totally. If it is. But I doubt most of the time that she’s canceled her commitments it’s been legit. I’ve had Temporomandibular joint issues before – I ended up in a panic the first time it happened because I had a lump on one side of my face from the inflammation of the joint. I’ve never been unable to speak from it – but it’s caused a good deal of pain and limited motion.
I just think in the case of Leann – most of her “I’m siiiick … I can’t do x” are fabricated.
Leanne aside, read “The Mindbody Prescription” by Dr. John Sarno if you are dealing with TMJ or other pains. I suffered from terrible TMJ, migraines, and all sorts of back/neck pains for years. But between reading that book and finding a doctor that supported it, I got my life back, without surgery or medication and I’m so happy and grateful.

TMJ as an excuse to miss work? Hilarious.
As a singer, TMJ actually *can* be a valid reason for cancelling. When mine was at its worst, my jaw would lock when I opened my mouth really wide to hit a note. It would often get stuck like that, and it’s super painful to try and close your mouth when your jaw is locked. I side eye the claim because it’s Leanne, but it *could* be a legitimate reason…
@Kristen820 I said the same thing above. When my TMJ was at it’s worst, I couldn’t open my mouth to eat anything larger than an orange segment and mostly subsisted on protein shakes and soup. It was painful. and took a year of wearing bite guards day and night to sort it out. I still worked, but I’m not a singer. However, I get the skepticism because it’s LeAnn Rimes.
I had bad TMJ in my twenties but had incredible results having my jaw re-aligned by an osteopath. If you haven’t gotten relief yet please consider this route. I literally had three treatments and was cured.
If leann has this TMJ i would think she’d be hard pressed to find a dentist to fix it.
Leann sued Brandi’s dentist. She must be on a list out there of at risk litigious clientel (allegedly)

Eddie is employed for now and can’t go with her, so of course she cancelled. She goes to the set with him and stays there all day. How embarrassing for him. He finallly gets a decent gig and she can’t let him go to work alone. I’ve never heard of another actor, whose wife goes to work with him and hovers like that. LeAnn has so few fans left and she treats them like crap. If Eddie keeps working, the cancellations will keep happening. She’s completely unprofessional and her career is in the toilet because of it.
I think the record company who recently signed her is about to get hosed. She has no interest in working. She’s the worst.
Record companys can still profit even if a CD fail.
They use it as a tax write off.So even if an artist never live up to expectations the company can recoup loses via tax write off.
Actually, a contract with a record company is essentially a loan. They will get their money back regardless if she performs or not.
Does anyone know why the U.K. label signed her? Trial basis?
I cannot imagine she has more fans in the U.K., but I have no idea. I think her US country music bridge is in ashes.
You have to wonder. She announef the CD release (Oct 28) but on released two single which failed to top the charts.
She’s going to the UK for a week in February to tour, returning later in the year.
It’s a strange way to push your music especially when you were unable to find a deal in the US.
That seems like an expensive way to relaunch a career (jetting back and forth every month or so, which she seems to be doing — other than this holiday ‘tour’).
I had TMJ and went to someone who does tuning fork therapy and it worked! It 100% went away, granted I was in an acute state. There is a great book “Tuning the Human Biofield” by Eileen Day McKusick. I wrote to her and went to someone she recommended in my state.
As a person who suffers from this movement disorder, it is no joke. Bite guards only make it worse for me. I am on a regimen of botox injections and medication to keep it at bay. But sometimes it is difficult for me to open my mouth wide enough to eat. I have no idea what her situation is, but I thought I’d throw that in.
Ha, everyone who follows her bs called this cancellation, so funny. I’m sure it’s more about Eddie not being able to go with her now that he’s working, she’ll be canceling a lot of shows in the near future. I thought her dental work was more about constant root canals, until Brandi said she has tmj then it suddenly became that too. Whatever it is she has majorly altered her teeth and entire mouth.

I suffer from TMJ and this makes no sense. I have a guard I wear when I sleep and sometimes when I’m awake that redistributes the pressure you put on your jaws and eventually your jaw will relax. Sometimes it can take a few days to take effect if you go some time without using it, but I also use muscle relaxers to assist with it. If I had concerts coming up, I’d be wearing that guard all day every day to ensure it doesn’t effect me.
Sometimes TMJ can trigger my migraines so it’s a ripple effect. I call BS on this.
Exactly. If leann had TMJ she would tweet about wearing a guard and all the other things she had to do to relax her jaw before a performance. This would get extra sympathy from her fans that she loves.
But leann only mentions her TMJ in situations like this weekend.
It is alleged that leann was out this weekend.
There have been sightings at a soccer. And at a farm where she allegedly sung the national anthem.

Ah yes, I just checked Brandi’s Instagram and she posted a picture of her son at a soccer game, which means Eddie would’ve been alone with her if LeAnn was at her concert, it all makes sense! What a sad life, having to constantly fear your loser husband will cheat, but their love is the greatest love story of our time, lol.
Edit-I watched the clip on LeAnn’s Instagram of her singing and her facial expressions are hilarious, looks like she smells something awful or is trying not to sh*t her pants. Why does she think she looks so amazing?
Leann canceled with The Palladium. The same venue she called on July 27,2012.
Leann was on SM a week ago Chalk Talking about feeling run down. As the week progressed she thanked her assistant for making her her and the boys because of a toothache.

Well leann has had some fan drama the last month. She lost one fan because she refused to wear an item that was given to her.
This was after months of asking to meet so she could give it to her.
So she had someone get the hat during a performance.
The there is another fan who beg for a meet and greet. Leann has seen this person 17 times which is more than generous.
But leann is charging for M&G with fan club fees
This person joined the fan club but not at the price to get a M&G.
So now they think they should still meet leann despite being told the terms.
Yes, the infamous Johanna also known as “Footgirl” (due to her foot injury forcing her to complain to get sympathy is screaming to meet Leann) and of course insisting her father and mother go with her. She believes that enough of them go on the trip with her to see Leann …Leann MUST see them at all costs.

As someone with chronic illnesses: human beings get sick & take time off. Sometimes, whether they can afford it or not. This celebrity is also a HUMAN being!!!

LeAnn is known for her fakery. Not believing the latest story doesn’t mean that one lacks empathy for true chronic or acute illnesses. Chill.
