Dianna Agron married Winston Marshall of Mumford and Sons in Morocco

I like Dianna Agron for a few reasons, primarily because we rarely hear from her and when we do she seems sensible and in no way full of herself. She’s not a hustler like her fellow Glee alums Leah Michele or Naya Rivera. So that’s why it was news to me that she just got married, to a guy from Mumford and Sons, banjoist Winston Marshall, whom she’s been with for around a year and a half. The two are thought to have gotten engaged around the holidays in 2015 as Dianna had on an engagement type ring at the time but they never confirmed it. Well it’s official now as US reports that they were married in Morocco on Saturday.

Congratulations are in order! Glee alum Dianna Agron tied the knot with her fiance, Winston Marshall, in a gorgeous destination wedding in Morocco on Saturday, October 15, her rep exclusively confirms to Us.

Agron, 30, and Marshall, 27, got engaged in December 2015 over the holidays after dating for about one year.

“He is the nicest guy and treats her like a princess,” a source tells Us of the couple’s loving relationship. “He is so thoughtful and flies her family everywhere they go and to see them whenever she wants. He is also so good to her friends.”

The pair first stepped out together as a couple in Paris in July 2015, holding hands and wearing matching shades. One month later, they could hardly keep their hands off each other as they attended the She’s Funny That Way premiere afterparty at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

[From US Magazine]

I don’t remember even reading that Dianna was engaged, but the news did come out around the beginning of this year, when we reported on Dianna’s engagement ring. I wonder who was invited to the wedding and if any of her Glee costars were there. There are only four guys in Mumford and Sons. Lead singer Marcus Mumford is married to actress Carey Mulligan and they have a year-old daughter. Dianna worked on a handful of indie movies this year and it looks like she’s working steadily. She was decent on Glee and I would definitely like to see more of her. Congratulations to Dianna and Winston!

Wow, that ‘source’ sure got the hots for this guy.
    Anyway, congrats!

  2. JeanGenie says:

They seem like decent people, but “treats her like a princess” makes me hurl.

    • Hummos says:

Omg I thought I was the only one! I had to skip through the rest of the post after that haha

    • Amanduh says:

Ditto…wtf does that even mean?! And don’t get me started when people refer to my daughters as “little princesses”…nope, they’re not.

      • Lindsay says:

The phrase doesn’t bother me, especially for children. It’s pretty harmless and a lot girls who grows up with Disney and are girly-girls want to be a princess. It is like boys wanting to ‘be’ Woody or Buzz Lightyear (for nearly two years my brother’s big morning dilemma was if he felt more like Woddy or Buzz that day as he would put that costume on over his regular clothes. But I digress… The worst ‘princess’ thing I have heard was like many six year old girls a daughter told her father I want to be a princess. Instead of pretending she was or buying cheap princess costumes and tiaras like normal people he researched “unclaimed” land and found some IIRC in Africa. It is a small sliver of land they have never been able to agree were the border is and who owns it. He had his kids make a flag for his daughter’s “kingdom” and he physically planted the flag and claimed the land and declared his daughter its Princess. Even though that’s not how any of that works, screw the people who have spent generations fighting for it, you should have gone to Micheal’s and made a felt flag. You snooze you lose!

So good luck to them in ten years because I am sure with that level of indulgence she is going to be one heck of an entitled, spoiled special snowflake.

Re: The article would “treating her like a queen” be better or is it the weird implied subservience and placing one partner on a pedestal or just the outdated ideas of monarchs that bothers you? Just curious.

      • Amanduh says:

Lindsay: I think just the implication that because she’s a girl = must be/want to be a princess bothers me. The dichotomy of the sexes annoys me too: I want her to gravitate to whatever interests her regardless of what society thinks a little girl should like.
When she tells me she wants to be a “princess” I tell her she should aim to be the Queen. Princesses don’t have the same clout.

      • Lorelai says:

@Lindsay that story is ridiculous!! I can’t imagine what a spoiled brat that child is going to be. And it won’t be her fault, but her father’s for acting in such a ludicrous manner and teaching her that she should get whatever she wants (no matter how absurd!) whenever she wants it.

I can’t even get over the flag story.

      • Nicole says:

        @Lindsay, I remember this story!!

      • Amanduh says:

Victoria: First off, not “offended” at all. Second…why not just say, “He treats her well” where do princesses come in??!!
And your husband treats you like a “princess”?? So tell me, since you’re so familiar with how princesses are treated, how that goes about? Does he bring you a tiara and a sceptre every morning??! Or just treats you well…as a human and woman?

    • Nn says:

      Are you guys serious?

      • Snowflake says:

        +1

      • Victoria says:

He treats her well, what’s all the fuss about? My husband treats me like a princess, and I’m 33 years old. Some folks go out of their way to be offended over the silliest things.

  3. Trishizle says:

I think she is such an underrated beauty. I wish them all the best!

  4. Lex says:

She was so funny in “The Family” – I like her 🙂

  5. Locke Lamora says:

He’s really rocking that extreme side part, huh?

    • Esmom says:

Lol. Hope it’s not a precursor to a combover.

They seem cute together, wishing them well.

    • bucketbot says:

I know, right? My hair is almost the same length. I’ve been trying to find a way to make this look work for me in such a way that I can consistently wear it for a while now cause someone once told me it’s flattering with my face shape. But Gahh the thickness of my hair ruins it . I want to ask him if he uses any product to make it this way. I hope not cause I don’t want to use any cause hairfall. 🙁

P.S.: HE looks very pretty too. Congrats to the couple!

  6. lannisterforever says:

She’s so incredibly beautiful and he’s…not. Oh well, I guess he has other qualities. Mazel Tov!

    • Nicole says:

Well, he always looks like he’s humping the air when he plays that banjo so maybe he is great in bed?

  7. Lucy says:

Aw, congrats to them! I’ve always liked her too.

  8. Mia4S says:

Is it that we don’t hear much from her or that no one really cares? I’m not trying to be mean but it’s clear she’s gone as far as she’s going to, career wise. It’s nice that she seems OK with that (no interviews (so far) about how her beauty is a burden). I remember she got some of the worst reviews I’ve ever read when she did a play in the West End. Just…ouch. But she works on low level stuff and seems happy so points to her.

    • Lindsay says:

I would say a little of Column A and a bit of Column B. Some actors are meant to be on TV/movies vs performing live shows. The reviews may have stung and caused some self doubt. Ryan Murphy loves his ‘Lady Di’ and he has some serious juice. Maybe she enjoys making indies and ensemble stuff where she doesn’t have the stress of carrying the movie and a much more relaxed promotion schedule/responsibility.

At least she seems/sounds like she is happy and healthy that isn’t true for quite a few of her fellow Glee alumni!

    • Bridget says:

She got the biggest push out of the Glee cast initially, and she just didn’t really ‘take’.

  9. M says:

He would be nice-looking if he cut that hair.

  10. Susan says:

I would like to know more about the “wheel-footed robots” advertised on the window of that shop in the background of the first photo. 😂

  11. K2 says:

I liked her in her Glee years for being an open activist for pro-choice organizations. That’s not a risk-free choice of cause for a young actress in Hollywood.

I think she’s great, and I hope she has a long and happy marriage.

  12. MoreSalt says:

Based on the pictures shown, I am not a fan of her style. At all. I have no idea really who she is, didn’t watch Glee.

But congrats to the happy couple!

  13. Megan says:

I love Morocco. I bet their wedding was fabulous.

  14. KateBush says:

The wedding looked amazing, it was over three days. They both arrived on camels and she wore the most beautiful Valentino dress

  15. squeezeo'lime says:

Huh all this time I thought she was gay. Congrats to them!
