We heard in early 2015 that Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel was planning to launch her own branded marijuana strain which was specifically engineered not to give users the munchies. It sounded like something she was just considering and might not follow up on, but now that recreational marijana was just legalized in four more states it might be happening. (Note that this is sourced to the new issue of USWeekly, but I read it and didn’t see this article so it’s possible that YourTango is just rehashing that older story.)
Bethenny Frankel, the creator of the Skinnygirl empire and cast member on the Real Housewives of New York, plans to launch her own line of “Skinnygirl marijuana” in Alaska, Colorado, Oregon and Washington where recreational marijuana is legal, according to a source in the newest issue of Us Weekly.
According to the source, “It will be a specially engineered strain of pot designed to not give you the munchies. She read about how profitable the cannabis industry is and wants to get in on that.”
reviewed as mediocre to poor in comparison to other brands but sell well based on name recognition and general cluelessness? I’m anticipating this marijuana strain will be similar and that it will be aimed at women who have no clue about marijuana consumption but want to make sure it doesn’t make them eat empty calories afterwards. It may not even work except for a placebo effect (how would those claims be tested?) but could sell anyway.
Also, Bethenny tweeted that people should stop protesting Trump and called them “moronic” and “imbeciles” because she’s likely a Trump supporter and we know she hates it when anyone speaks Spanish around her.

Sadly I don’t hate her cha cha dress. I think it would be cute on a younger woman at a party in the middle of summer. But she was probably high basking in the glory of trumps victory and forgot what month it was. For those criticizing Kendall Jenner’s face, take a look at Bethenny. Holy Cow, what did she do??!

Now that I’m thinking about it Alix, I must admit that exposure to the Frankel increases the chances of my exposure to smokie treats because I need to be like a kite to handle her screaming.
She also fights with drunk women and goes to therapy on national television and models her then five (?) year old pajamas. It is a full and meaningful life đŸ™‚

Also, I’m just saying that there already ARE strains that don’t give you the munchies. First off sativas usually contain higher amounts of THCV (a possible appetite suppressant) and are less likely to cause munchies than indicas. The higher the level of THC the more likely your hypothalamus (connected to hunger) is going to be affected and bring you munchies. Sometimes a high CBD in addition to low THC can cause less munchies.

She would read this comment and be like ?????? Strains? Indica and Sativa — are those pot manufacturers? Durban Poison, is that a celebrity baby name? Which is just another reason why this is a freaking terrible idea. I hope dispensaries refuse to sell her product if she goes through with this.
Skinnygirl Weed? That’s a contradiction in terms. Weed gives you the munchies like no other so……that ish is not going to make you skinny. Best of luck to her though.

It is the wrong time for this. I hope she realizes voting for Trump is now coming back to bite her in the ass. The mostly likely candidate for Attorney General is completely against legalizing pot. The whole states made it legal thing only works if the President, AG, DEA all agree to allow states to make their own choice. It is still against fedeal law, the can arrest you and have the federal government charge you, conduct your trial, and jail you upon conviction instead of the state. Also, it is really hard to run a legitimate business if the bank won’t take your money. So he could put people out of business simply by heavily enforcing the current banking laws. Banks won’t take that risk, especially for a small company.

She is ridiculous and those girls who specifically buy that brand will be ridiculed for their lack of basic marajuana knowledge whenever they walk into a shop.
