Amanda Seyfried has been open about the fact that she wants to have kids, and she’s said this in interviews well before she (officially) got together with her current fiancé, Thomas Sadoski. In fact she got a lot of headlines for saying this back when she was with her last long term boyfriend, Justin Long, and then the two of them broke up shortly afterwards. (Which seemed suspicious to me, as does the fact that she had worked with then-married Thomas for several months at that point, but all those things but may have been unrelated.) So Amanda, 30, stepped out at a Givenchy event recently looking visibly pregnant, and has since confirmed that she’s expecting her first child. Amanda Seyfried is pregnant and expecting her first child with fiancé Thomas Sadoski, a rep for the couple confirms to Us Weekly. The Last Word actress, 30, debuted her baby bump in a sheer black minidress at the launch of Givenchy’s new fragrance, Live Irrésistible, on Tuesday, November 29. Seyfried is a spokesmodel for the brand.
The Mama Mia! actress’ baby news comes on the heels of her engagement to Life in Pieces star Sadoski.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed Seyfried’s engagement to Sadoski last month. The couple met in 2015 when they starred in the play The Way We Get By together and started dating shortly after filming The Last Word earlier this year.
“Tommy and Amanda recently got engaged and shared the happy news with family and close friends,” a source close to the costars told Us at the time.
Congratulations to Amanda and Thomas! I feel a little bad for her Australian Shepard, Finn, but I know Finn will be a caring doggie protector once he gets used to sharing his space with a new human. Does he know? I swear Finn knows.

Finn doesn’t really look like an Aussie to me, adorable as he is. We have a tri-colored rescue Aussie, and of course there are the mottled Aussies.

I bet Finn knows, it’s crazy how animals know. I’m pregnant and one of my cats is treating me like I’ve betrayed him and the other cat will not get off of me. Any time I sit or lay down she’s on me, cuddling and staring in my face like “are you Ok?!”
Their behavior changed as soon as I got pregnant. It’s so amazing.
I always figured that the animals could hear the baby’s heartbeat.
Animals totally know. I’m pregnant with number 2 and our cat has to be near me at all times when she’d normally be on her own. Now she’s sleeping on my head, curled up next to me on the couch. It was the same when I was pregnant with my oldest. She instinctively just gets it and I love how cuddly she is right now.
My grandmother, God rest her soul, always said: When you become engaged to the mistress you leave open a vacancy. Congrats to them tho. Finn is the cutest!

Amanda is my favorite “mean girl.” I saw Rachel McAdams in Dr. Strange and honest to goodness didn’t realize it was her until the cast names rolled. Time has a way of changing one’s appearance, but Amanda looks as fresh and pretty as she did then. Finn is everything, so cute and Amanda it is said still knows when it’s going to rain by her boobs!
Amanda is at least 8 years younger than Rachel.
Also, Rachel still looks great (and even did as a nurse wearing minimal makeup and scrubs in Dr. Strange)

Ha, I think a few of us here called her pregnancy when the quick engagement was announced, so not at all surprised but congrats I guess? I’m sure it stings for his ex wife, I don’t like that they cheated, but Finn is still awesome.

I think he was married to his wife for 8 years. If she wasn’t for the divorce, this has to hurt for her. That is kind of sad.

Perhaps Kimberly didn’t want children and he did? Or she said she did but not yet and kept putting it off? Who knows. If he wanted kids, he shouldn’t have to give that up (nor should a woman). 16 years is a long time to be together and not have had kids if you want them. If she was struggling with fertility I feel awful for her. Hopefully she can make peace with this.

He and his wife were actually together for eight years before marrying and then married for eight years. So sixteen years together. They had been together since 1999 as a couple. I wonder about the children thing. Did they not want children? Maybe not. But if she did and he kept putting it off, this quick pregnancy and engagement would be more pain on top of the pain of the affair and divorce.
But also, to add to that, his wife didn’t file an answer to his divorce petition, didn’t hire a divorce lawyer. So maybe it was already the end of his marriage and just ended agreeing on the settlement together.
Oh I didn’t know that. That is an interesting factor. Even if he was ‘technically’ married, they may have checked out of their marriage a while back. Amanda and Thomas were probably together a while longer than we know but didn’t want it to be super scandalous…
Whatever though. Adults, consenting, getting married, having babies. It’s their life.

isn’t it sad when the ring comes right AFTER the 12 week mark? like “ok now that it got REAL, just NOW I’ll put a ring on it cause now I have no choice….” as if they’re getting married just because of the kid…never a good thing.
