    She really is the best

    • hannah89 says:

THAT SHIRT….she is the best. I mean, I. LOVE. HER.

    • INeedANap says:

This film! I don’t know if it’s intentional, but I got a strong undertone of feminism in it. Women being told to stay quiet, be sweet, don’t hurt other people’s feelings, even when we’re being murdered or grieving a child. I am not sure if that’s intentional but I love it.

      • jerkface says:

        @ Hannah89 and INeedANap

Right on! That shirt is amazing as she is. Bad a**!

I agree and knowing the actors in the film I bet its a bit intentional. I want to see that movie immediately!

      • Chanteloup says:

That trailer is giving me life Yeah, I think it’s got more than an undertone of feminism in it.
Damn, I could use some Frances McDormand to help clean up some of the sh!t around here.
        Love.

  2. LA Elle says:

Those ICE raids make me ill.

Anyone see a Trump voter in Indiana is facing her husband being deported because she thought Trump would only target the “bad ones”?

    • minx says:

      I did. Fool.

      • Sigh... says:

I swear my neck & shoulders are going to become freakishly large & unbalanced from all of the head-shaking & shrugging at Trump supporters now “disillusioned” by him attempting/doing EVERY-F’ING-DISGUSTING-THING he unflinchingly said he would…

…and, yes, I say this as a Christian.

    • jerkface says:

No i did not see that but I am off to google it now. Just wow.
The raids make me sick too. I just want everyone to be safe and free and live in peace, unbothered. I know its impossible but I still wish for that all the time.

    • Susannah says:

It’s all fine when it’s happening to the “other guy,” until you realize under Trump, we’re all the “other guy.”

      • doofus says:

which is why, again, I have ZERO sympathy for people like this. I’m glad they regret their votes and all, but still don’t feel bad.

they didn’t have sympathy for all the other folks Bigly Boy said he’d screw over while campaigning, so why have sympathy for them when they get screwed?

    • Olenna says:

Thanks for bringing this up. It’s highlights, again, just how ignorant and short-sighted most of his supporters are.

I love this comment from one of the article’s readers: “If she is looking for sympathy, she should look between shit and syphilis in the dictionary.”

Another fave: “‘When I voted for the Wolf-devouring sheep party, I never thought that the wolves would eat me,’ said one sheep to another.'”

    • mary mary says:

The husband was here illegally (but he was able to legally obtain a driver’s license and a social security card through registration with ICE in 2000) was he able to vote for Trump also?

Gee, wonder if this is could be some of the illegal voters Trump was talking about?

  3. Heather says:

Wait so we’re not talking about the Diane Kruger – Norman Reedus date today? Well damn.

    • hannah89 says:

I dont understand how women find that dude attractive.

      • Veronica says:

I find him attractive and can’t explain why. He’s so…unwashed looking, but something in me wants to hose him down, horizontal some mambo, and then throw him out so I can take a long, hot shower.

      • ZGB says:

I like him as Daryl on the Walking Dead. Am not very fond of bathing( what a chore) but he makes me want to take a bath…with hot water!

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

There was a separate post about it yesterday.

  4. ncboudicca says:

    Wow! That trailer was incredible.

  5. The Voice says:

Wow. Frances McDormand!! The name of the film doesn’t sound appealing but omg that trailer is gold. Frances McDormand is so good in this. I need to watch this in the theater to support it. Also, I love Woody Harrelson. I didn’t when he was on Cheers but man, he’s spectacular in everything he’s in. I love that man.

Does anyone else want to see a movie with Frances McDormand and Emma Thompson? I would!!

    • Jess says:

Love Frances. Can’t wait to see this, even though I usually avoid movies involving horrible things happening to kids because they traumatize me.

  6. zan says:

It’s not ginger, it’s baby spice! I thought it was fun, to bad nobody recognized her.

This movie looks gooood! Frances, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, I’m in!

    • Anastasia says:

I laughed at that, too! It’s Baby Spice, not Ginger. I can’t believe no one caught on!

  7. BooRadley says:

She is. That movie looks amazing. Can’t wait to see it. May even get me out to a theatre

  8. ZGB says:

    That name though…

  9. A mascarada says:

Yeah, the name of the film could be better, but I’m gonna watch that as soon as I can.
Oh Amanda Peet, omg. Never change, girl. You’re too pretty for being stylish. You don’t need no fancy shit. Lovely as always.

    • ZGB says:

I have no idea what the film is about( I’ve been away from American entertainment) but the name is long. I was actually talking about that link with a somebody named Eden Sassoon or something.

Amanda Peets dress is hilarious! I can’t decide if its strange or just boring.

  10. Elgin Marbles says:

Frances McDormand and her mighty, mighty talent is the palate cleanser we all need these days.
Also, I must see Three Billboards.

  11. Reglagonz says:

She is absolute perfection!! I love her!!

  12. Shijel says:

I’ve been waiting for a gritty, rude vigilate film with a female lead for AGES. And what with Frances McDormand in the lead I am SO EXCITED

  13. Blip says:

    #MissingDCGirls

  14. Skylark (nee Guesto) says:

Frances McDormand has been (since I discovered the Coen Bros) and is and will pretty much remain, in the absence of anyone coming remotely close to her extraordinary talent, my standard for everything. <3

  15. Skylark says:

PS. For those who might be new to her, start with ‘Blood Simple’ and work your way up (and I guarantee it will be a joyful and rewarding journey) to where she is today.

  16. frankly says:

If you haven’t seen “In Bruges” by the same director check it out. It is an amazing mix of just about every genre – funny, violent, romance, bromance, assassins, Ralph Fiennes as a totally insane gangster. So. Good.

  17. Happy21 says:

Ah-MAZING! I cannot wait for this movie. She is just spectacular in anything and everything she is in.

  18. Layla says:

Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Woody? Sounds great. I am watching it. I will forever love Frances for her performance in Fargo.
