I was glancing through the calendar a few days ago and I was stunned to realize that the end of March is coming up fast. While every single day of the Bigly Trump administration feels like a lifetime, time flies when you’re terrified that an orange, baby-fisted monster will kill us all. Time has no meaning anymore, is what I’m saying. Anyway, here are some political stories going around:
This Devin Nunes thing. I can’t even attempt to keep all of these threads straight, but suffice to say, Rep. Nunes’ actions are deplorable and I hope Sally Yates testifies before the Senate Intelligence Committee wearing a dominatrix ensemble. I also believe that the White House and Nunes have colluded to cover up Trump-Russia malfeasance.
Melania turned up in DC. She attended a reception for senators last night in the White House. She wore an LBD by Roland Mouret. At the reception, her husband promised that they will repeal Obamacare and it will “happen very quickly” because that’s what everybody has promised to do.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner. President Bigly canceled his appearance at the WHCD weeks ago. But now White House staffers want you to know that they won’t be attending either out of “solidarity” with Emperor Bigly. Because all of those people believe that the press is treating Bigly “unfairly” and that journalists are the enemy.
Paul Manafort is so shady. Like, seriously, this guy is such a sketchball.
The GOP might not want The Wall after all. Like, you mean we’re not going to build The Wall?? Hahahaha.
Bigly is SO MAD! He’s so mad that no one is investigating John Podesta or the Clintons. Why won’t these insane deflections work?!?!?!
Why doesn't Fake News talk about Podesta ties to Russia as covered by @FoxNews or money from Russia to Clinton – sale of Uranium?

And finally, Bigly is the bigliest victim ever.
If the people of our great country could only see how viciously and inaccurately my administration is covered by certain media!

Maybe the few sane GOP members (at least those who want to be re-elected) realize it’s nearly game over.
Frankly, the media could go in a lot harder. They are held back by their own standards of fairness – to be clear, I’m talking about the legitimate media here, not the useless alt-right tits on toast.
I would like to see a major outlet have a box on page one, a series of simple easily read graphics, listing a total plus weekly overview of lies told, numbers of the Trump team and fellow crooks under investigation/ links to Russia/ gaining financially from Trump’s dismantling of legislation/ real jobs created as opposed to rhetoric.
Agreed – and why are these daily press conferences covered live? That’s never happened with this frequency. Media is making millions out of Trump meanwhile Trump is making billions from us while destroying our democracy/environment.
Once again, I am shaking my head and asking myself over and over, how did this happen?
The incessant tantrums have to be embarrassing for even his supporters at this point.
nope, they see it as “sticking to the man” and “putting people in their place” because THEY are bullies, too. angry and looking for someone (brown-skinned) to blame for their ills.
If you visit twitter very often, you’ll see that an ungodly number of his buttl1ckers are women. And if you look at their profiles, nine times out of ten they id as “Christian.” I put Christian in quote marks because if that peace loving, socialism spouting, hippie Jesus showed up, they’d tar and feather him.
@SusanneToo – I’ve noticed that supporter pattern as well. Are they just judgy a$$holes admiring their kind, or maybe they harbor a desire to get the attention of a “powerful” and “rich(??)” person?
@SusanneToo and @Christin – these are the kind of women who also fall in love with mass murderers in prison too. Their low self-esteem sees them develop crushes on sadistic men. The ‘Christian’ tag for a number of Trump supporters is laughable, and so far from the truth.
@Christin, that’s my theory too. I think woman posit themselves with him and the GOP kind of because “if you can’t beat them join them”? They know the majority of GOPers love suppressing them, so if the women ally with them maybe they won’t be suppressed? Maybe they’ll be seen as equals? It gives them a false sense of power. Facing the reality that these men would love nothing more than to strip away all our rights is not something these women are willing to do at this point. That would probably require them to realize many of the men in their life think of them the same way too.
I’m also going to guess that many of these women have been raised with very rigid gender roles and are disgusted by women who don’t conform to these. Hence the strong hate towards the women’s protest I seemed to get from a lot of my conservative female “friends”.
@Megan Every now and then I still get that feeling too- it’s like some dystopian novel. Every time you hear someone on the news, the radio, etc. say “President Trump”, don’t you just shudder or cringe a little internally?
That’s why I am all about print journalism these days! 🙂
Otaku Fairy, yesterday I heard someone say President Trump and it reminded me of President Snow from Mockingjay movies. Except Donald Sutherland’s character was a whole lot slicker.
A 70-year-old crybaby.
He really is the biggest whiny, crybaby ever.
I’ve met preschoolers with better impulse control.
It actually seems like his supporters (and their sympathizers) are slightly bigger crybabies, with the way they try to spin any and all criticism of a Trump or those who are responsible for him being in power as ‘hate speech’, ‘bullying’, and ‘intolerance’.
He is such a drama queen – the wild hand gestures, the exaggerations, the caps on Twitter. It’s like he’s in middle school!
“If the people of our great country could only see how viciously and inaccurately my administration is covered by certain media!” @ 8:21 PM – 29 Mar 2017
Seriously, Donnie. Stop your complaining and then start studying for your algebra test tomorrow. That thing’s not going to write itself, you know!
Seriously. He is such an immature idiot. I heard a clip on the radio of his talking to a young journalist and he complimented the guy, saying something like “you’ve been so nice to me.” As if that’s the benchmark for good journalism, He just sounds so ill informed and uneducated, what an utter joke.
OT but Vlad is coming for the Motherland, Esmom:
https://newrepublic.com/article/141257/lithuania-gears-war-russia-photos
..and that juvenile comment was directed towards Watters after the most shamelessly ass-kissing interview I’ve ever seen. Cringeworthy.
Oh, geez, Kitten. Those photos are heartbreaking. But not surprising. LT has had Putin’s number for a while now.
We saw this mural — eerie in its foreshadowing — in Vilnius before vandals covered it with white paint:

Emo President
LOL
Boo hoo, mutha fkr.
my thoughts exactly. and that goes for his cray-cray supporters, too.
“Why doesn’t Fake News talk about Podesta ties to Russia as covered by @FoxNews or money from Russia to Clinton – sale of Uranium?” Thought FoxNews was Fake News and they are covering it. So what’s the problem? So much more going on. OT: How do the British celebitchies feel about Brexit beginning today?
Deflect and distract, deflect and distract, deflect and redirect, deflect and redirect…
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
His comments come off as irrational and paranoid which is concerning enough of a regular citizen but for a sitting PRESIDENT of the US they are down right frightening and make you question his state. Surely he can be removed with a non confidence vote???
Unfortunately, he cannot be removed with a simple no confidence vote, plus I don think there is a single Republican in Congress who would vote to remove him.
Plus, the GOP wants a sacrificial lamb to get rid of popular programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.
Nobody who wants a political career a single day past signing those repeals into law will do it. Bush 43 tried to partially privatize Social Security and his approval ratings took a nose dive. They only somewhat recovered when he jumped off it and told the House ‘Pubs that it wasn’t going to happen.
Pence will NOT do it. They know that. 300 lbs of Orange Stupid will.
Oh, I don’t know about that. I think John McCain might consider it. Or Lindsay Graham. Plus a few others…
It could be his mental state or he might just be the most fragile, defensive human being who has ever walked the planet. One thing is for sure: soothing his ego with incessant rallies isn’t a long-term solution to his Snowflake Syndrome. We’re in for a long four years, guys.
bullies usually are fragile.
from what I’ve heard/read, his father was extremely cruel to him, and he to his own sons.
@ doofus.
I think it is very telling that the only picture on the table behind his Oval Office desk is of his father. Like he is still looking for dad’s approval.
He can be impeached and then found guilty of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Before that, there have to be written “articles of impeachment.” The trail takes place in the senate. It is hard to get rid of a US president, and it should be. The private wishes of a majority of Americans [my family included] are another matter.
Trial not trail, sorry.
Also requires a super majority in the Senate to remove, right? 60? Maybe 67?
Simple majority passes the articles in the House. But the super majority requirement in the Senate is the reason why it was well known that Clinton would never be removed.
Can he be removed for mental incompetence/ psychological ill-health?
The 25th Amendment makes it possible for the president to be removed with a written declaration from the VP, Cabinet officers, an speaker of the house that the president is not capable of carrying out the duties of the office. Not very likely right now.
I was going to say people should never ever pick on kids, however exception are made for baby fisted bigly wheels cheetolini.
Lol at “bigly wheels,” thank you. I’m not finding much to laugh about these days.
He’s such an embarrassment. Bigly whiny man baby!
Any one of the things you list here would have meant certain death to a politician just ten years ago. What we are now seeing is the ugly result of a long campaign of misinformation/disinformation spewed out through the sewage pipes of right wing radio and Fox News.
The purpose of this disinformation campaign has been to weaken democracy in the U.S. As scary as things look, I don’t believe it has worked. If not for the electoral college, this madman would not be president. The people of the world are no longer drawn to ancient notions of ethnic nationalism. Tr*mp is a symbol of the old men still hanging on (and not just white, as we see patriarchal psychos clinging to their little bombs all across the planet). The protests across Russia last week, mirroring the protests here in the U.S., show that young people in particular do not want what these crooked oligarchs are selling.
Amen to your first paragraph. It’s been like a slow motion train wreck that still caught the sane world somewhat off guard.
I wish I could agree with you that our democracy hasn’t been irreparably damaged. I guess time will tell.
The signing of the EO to kill the regulations on climate change was the worst thing he has done so far. He basically handed the world a death sentence all so he could continue to show up at Kentucky rallies and get a standing ovation from coal miners.
I completely agree that it’s the worst thing he’s done so far–and that’s saying a LOT.
We knew this was coming though: rollback all of Obama’s environmental regulations that keep Americans safe and healthy so that Big Fossil Fuel receives max profit. It’s absolutely atrocious.
Even the NASA bill he signed wasn’t about space travel at all, it was just about killing the portion of the NASA budget that goes to climate change research.
The rollback on all the education EO’s are very brutal as well.
As if coal will ever see the “glory days” of the early 20th century in Appalachia (for several reasons, including automation)…Apparently the EO was just a show anyway, as it was reported last night there are about 40 levels of approval needed to do what the EO suggests.
They better be understanding the budget cuts proposed to defund ARC, which will impact 13 states (including KY).
Right about coal. My grandfather [I’m 64} was a child coal miner in Penn. He went into the mines at age 9. If anyone is interested, look up old photos of these “Breaker boys” as they were called. This industry has always been a horror show.
Only nine years old! That is heartbreaking that kids had to work so hard, in dangerous conditions.
My grandfather went into the Virginia mines around 13 or 14, stayed until the mine closed (he was nearly 60) and he suffered black lung. He gave a co-worker his last drink of water as the man perished after a roof collapse. He was a supporter of mine workers, yet never encouraged his sons to go into the mines. There are still some very wealthy mine owners and execs around that region. The miners do/did the hardest part, yet could never be paid what that job is worth.
Currently, the UN is looking to fund famine aid for 4 famines in Africa and Yemen. These famines are a direct result of climate-change engendered draught. The GOP’s response is to pass legislation to promote further environmental mayhem and to cut funding to the UN. 20 million lives are at risk. 20 million. But they aren’t white campaign contributors to the GOP, so they don’t matter.
So sickening. And these people call themselves Christians….
The failing @nytimes needs to start referring to Trump as the failing @realdonaldtrump or failing @POTUS. They’ll be around long after Trump and co.
Playing the victim is a classic narcissistic trait.
Exactly. The tiniest bump to the ego = epic meltdown.
Yeah – I think we all know this, but his supporters don’t seem to care.
Cannot take the slightest (even constructive) criticism.
Then quit, Sh1thead, if it’s so tough. We’ll throw you a party.
LMFAO! Perfect.
And then, God willing, throw your orange butt in prison!
This what happens when voters decide to “take a chance” I know some haters of our last president might say that also happened in 2008. However, back then we took a chance on a sitting senator and expert in constitutional law who had a sterling reputation as a devoted family man.
I felt personally assaulted by Trump during his campaign as a woman. However, his mean-spirited language was directed not only at women but the disabled, military heroes, Mexicans, Muslims and on and on …. the people who voted for him were like a slap to my face. Now Trump is getting ready to assault the environment unraveling the work Obama did to protect our one and only human home. We are all victims of Trump, including the planet.
Love the idea that Yates show up in a dominatrix outfit.
The Fourth Estate and we, the people, will NEVER stop until that Orange Clown and his Keystone Kops are out of office, in jail, or both!
Kaiser: thank you for all you do for us regarding Emperor Zero!
Resist! Persist!
Trump doesnt even lie – he just says false statements. A lie has to be at least somewhat believable, you know. This guy could tell you with the most straight face on the sun sets from South to North, and he’ll later go on about how compasses everywhere have been broken this whole time.
But who am I to talk. His ridiculous lies work on enough people.
Kaiser’s link to the ‘wall might not be built’ story had a commenter who said, “with all his lies, why doesn’t Trump just say he built the wall, and it’s the biggliest bestest wall ever built?” His believers will buy it.
You know, the worst is, that’s actually plausible. I can totally see him saying the wall was actually built. With Mexican money of course.
Poor baby. Here ya go 🎻.
He’s not a victim. When I see him signing the EOs one after another as fast as he can we’re the victims. Trump is signing them just to show he’s so powerful that he can ruin everything Obama worked hard on. It’s been pretty much proven that he has trouble reading, so I wonder if he knows what the heck he’s signing. He’s a vicious, careless brat. I can’t believe what he’s doing
He’s the boy that cried wolf. No one is going to believe his tweets soon.
Trump spent 5 years lying about Obama being Muslim from Kenya, and the last 2 years name calling every single Republican nominee. Seems like the Great Orange Pumpkin can dish it out, but can’t take it. Grow a pair, Asshole.
About the wall, did you hear what the Secretary of the Interior said? According to him, it’s complicated because of the Rio Grande, because “we’re not going to put it on our side and cede the river to Mexico.” So what, they want to put it on Mexico’s side and have Mexico pay for it. OMG, they are so stupid.
At first I didn’t actually think there was much “there” there about the Russia collusion stories. At this point, based on the recent actions of the Trump administration – they sure look like they are covering up SOMETHING – I think there is in fact something there. I also think there is indeed something in Trump’s income tax returns that will tie into this.
I sure wish some patriot at the IRS or in Trump’s accountant’s office will eventually leak them. Or that one of the numerous committees will subpoena them.
I continue to regularly (twice already this week) email my representatives in order to let them know how one of their constituents feels about what is going on. I urge each of you to do the same on a regular basis.
If we keep the pressure on, our congresspeople will act. If we don’t, they won’t. It is that simple.
