Donald Trump releases the long-awaited Fake News Awards and this is just sad

Trump Presents the Congressional Gold Medal to Dole

In between golfing trips and “executive hours” which see Donald Trump watching Fox News all morning, the Sh-tholer decided to create a new awards show. It is Oscar season, and we’re knee-deep in awards shows. Part of me thinks that Trump created the Fake News Awards because he’s still so sad about never winning an Emmy or an Oscar or a Golden Globe. That’s all he ever wanted, to be a cheeseball C-list celebrity. So he had to create an award that he could conceivably win.

Well, Trump made everybody wait for it – there was some talk that after teasing the “Fake News Awards” for weeks that it would actually come to nothing, that the Fake News was coming from inside the house, that the Fake News Awards were actually fake news. But late Wednesday, Trump did post a link to the GOP’s site. I guess the national Republican Party had to spend time and resources creating the Fake News Awards on behalf of the Sh-thole Dictator?

The good news here is that this is time and money the Republican Party didn’t spend trying to win statewide elections in Alabama. LMAO. I looked through their list and what surprised me was that most of the “awards” were for stories in which one piece or part of an overall article was wrong and the journalists apologized or the media outlets quickly corrected themselves. How many times has Trump blatantly lied and then refused to apologize or correct himself? Literally thousands of times. But a media outlet makes an honest mistake, quickly corrects their reporting and apologizes and suddenly they’re being held to a higher standard than the Sh-tholer.

Anyway, all of this is just so stupid, petty, parochial and insane. We are, as a nation, holding our collective breath so that a dumb, melodramatic infant doesn’t lose his temper and blow us all up. This is insane.

Along with the Trumps, I want Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to have their political careers ended in shame. I can’t believe they’re letting this sh*tshow go on in government, just to sign some crappy legislation.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

Yes. Let’s remember they are also in flagrant violation of their oaths of office – unpatriotic scumbags who, especially in the case of McConnell, have violated nearly all the rules of governance to seize power and use it in violation of the wishes of most Americans.

Due to them, and their misdeeds even under President Obama, the United States has not been a representative government for years.

    • Nicole says:

Same. I want them to leave in shame and die (eventually) knowing their legacy will forever be tied to this sh*thole. I just want them to KNOW that they will never be remembered with fondness. Kinda like that line in Hamilton “now I’m the villain in your history”. Thats what I want.

      • Dita von Katzhausen says:

I dont think they will ever be able to see it this way. Their vision seems to be completely warped, and in their mind everything they do is righteous. This is how dictatorships start and it is so painful to just watch and hope for the best.

    • Pandy says:

Yes. Throw Lindsay Graham in there too please. Actually, throw the whole damn pile of them in and start over.

  2. FishBeard says:

Wow. It’s terrifying that this is acceptable to people.

    • Elkie says:

But….. But… President Obama once asked for Dijon mustard on his cheeseburger and saluted a marine whilst holding a coffee cup! Not to mention the scandalous wearing of a TAN SUIT….

      • TW says:

Obama posted a photo for Michelle’s birthday yesterday and in it, he’s wearing a tan suit. Amazing the hypocrisy. Trump is attacking federal judges and the FBI and stoopin porn stars but a Obama’s suit! And Hillary’s emails!!

    • Tiffany :) says:

      It truly is.

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but I am disturbed by his repeated use of the raised, closed fist. It reads one way coming from protestors who are standing up for the disenfranchised. It reads another way coming from someone with so much power who uses the bully pulpit to attack private citizens and businesses.

  3. Mel says:

Let’s all remember what he was doing on the eve of a possible government shutdown.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

The night after his clearly very nervous doctor reported the results of his medical exam, including 2 whoppers – gross underestimation of his cardiac risk and a misleading assessment of his cognitive health based on an incomplete use of an inappropriate screening tool.

      Plus he’s really fat.

      • B n A fn says:

I just looked at that photo on top and he really looks sick. I can’t believe his dr was saying he’s in excellent health. That’s such a lie. Btw, Dr Gupta, CNN said he has heart problem according to the reading from his tests.

      • Tiffany :) says:

        “including 2 whoppers”

…um, he prefers 2 Big Macs and 2 Fish Fillets.

        (j/k, I couldn’t resist!)

    • Reef says:

This is reason #1256645345 of why I hate Trump voters. Can’t even be mad at him anymore. He was obviously unfit from day 1, but large swaths of our nation saw this idiot and thought he’d be fit to run the country.

    • Tiffany says:

It went out yesterday, on First Lady Michelle Obama’s birthday.

  4. minx says:

    He’s a demented chunky POS.

  5. Beth says:

I was surprised that Trump didn’t go batshit crazy yesterday after Jeff Flake gave his speech about how dishonest Trump is and how always saying “fake news, ” is putting the U.S. and other countries in danger

    • Who ARE These People? says:

He doesn’t care about a guy who is leaving the Senate and who doesn’t vote against him or call for impeachement or invoking the 25th Amendment. Flake is all talk and no action. Zero threat, just like McCain was when he was healthy and present.

  6. Snowflake says:

I never in a million years thought a President would get away with the stuff he’s done. I had faith our Congress would protect our country and keep it going in a decent way no matter who was President. Nope, not any longer

    • PunkyMomma says:

Yes. While he was elected by the Electoral College, it’s the Congress that has allowed this Nation to suffer.

Congress could have taken the noble and proper role of putting country and, in many cases, their own constituency over greed. But they haven’t, and they’ve been revealed to be as much of a threat to our country as Cheeto Mussolini.

This Congress is just as culpable and guilty of treason as the current occupant of the Oval Office.

  7. Tiffany27 says:

BITCH, GET TO WORK!!! YOU’RE THE FU*KING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!

  8. GreenBunny says:

And in typical incompetent style, for the first 3 hours, the link took you to an error screen.

  9. Rapunzel says:

Birtherism, Uranium One, Mexico will pay for the wall, etc. Those are real fake news winners from Trump.

    But her emails, right?

  10. robyn says:

And the Pinocchio Award goes to Trump. If he were Pinocchio his nose would be long enough to go around the world twice. Shameless Trump shovels fake news daily and feeds it to his cultish believers.

  11. KatieBo says:

This is Kim Jong Un levels of propaganda and insanity.

  12. Laur says:

I can’t believe he wasted government funds and resources on this just to make himself feel better… I feel like Americans are truly screwed because I don’t even know whether he’ll accept the results of the mid-terms or dismiss them completely! You guys could honestly be at the beginnings of a dictatorship style rule as no one in the Republican party will stand up to him as all they care about is being in power.

  13. Lila says:

Actually, I was expecting more from Trump’s fake news awards than a link to an official GOP webpage containing a list of reporting errors that were either corrected or retracted by the news organizations that first reported them. Didn’t really live up to the hype.

  14. Olenna says:

I’ve got nothing civil to say about this MF and his crew, so I’ll just go rant offline.

  15. MellyMel says:

TF is this sh*t?!? We’re living in some twisted reality show and I want off this island!!!

  16. Vovicia says:

Someone tell the dufus he’s not supposed to salute them.

  17. Henlo Fren says:

I love the irony that the nickname that appears to be sticking with DT is one he inadvertently gave himself. Shithole Donald.

  18. meh says:

When is enough enough? There needs to be a freaking revolution at this point. Your government needs to be overthrown. What is happening to the beautiful United States of America?!

  19. adastraperaspera says:

Another desperate ploy to keep the focus off of the vast, organized criminal conspiracy that got him into office and is attempting to ruin our republic. Filthy Stalinist propaganda. He is in violation of his oath of office. In addition to attacking the first amendment, he and the GOP are also guilty of the treasonous crime of refusing to uphold our constitutional separation of powers. This cannot stand. The Law is coming for all of them. A 2018 blue wave is coming for all of them. Justice is coming.

  20. holly hobby says:

I understand that they posted this in the GOP site because it’s an ethics violation if it’s hosted on govt websites or if he used his motley crew to do it (after all they are also our employees). Former Ethics Head Walt Shaub has been going at them on Twitter for several weeks now. Threatened to sue WH staff if they so much as staple the speech to his awards.
