Brad Pitt breaks down, gets rescued by paparrazo

Brad Pitt has a lot of time on his hands since the financing fell through on his planned summer film shoot, Moneyball. While it’s clear the pulled financing had nothing to do with Brad -studio chief Amy Pascal sounds like a Brangaloonie after all - Brad doesn’t seem to know what to do with himself as he wanders around Los Angeles on his bike. Yesterday, Brad went on yet another soul-searching bike ride - seemingly dressed as some kind of mechanic, complete with a name patch - and the gods scorned him! They made his motorcycle break down as Brad was being trailed by paparazzi. No fear. One of the paparazzi trailing Brad offered him a lift, and Brad accepted:

Even mega-stars are susceptible to the occasional roadside emergency.

Brad Pitt was taking a spin throughout Hollywood, Ca. on Thursday, again rolling out one of his classic motorcycles for an afternoon.

Paparazzi on his tail didn’t seem to be the only problem for Angelina Jolie’s partner–the bike broke down, forcing Pitt to the curb.

After a few attempts to diagnose the problem, Pitt raised the white flag in a big way–by accepting a ride from a photographer!

Talk about a Hollywood ending–everyone was a winner.

That’s very nice of the photographer. I wonder if he gave Brad a ride home or a ride to a mechanic. In any case, it beats my suspicion that Brad is spending his days passed out in Maddox’s pillow fort.

In other Brad Pitt news, yesterday several media outlets got ahold of Brad’s most recent ad for the Japanese cell phone company Softbank. Unfortunately, all of the ads were taken down within a few hours. I guess Softbank doesn’t want to promote its company in America? Too bad, because the ad was really cute. The commercial was directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich) and shows: “Brad helps his sumo boss out by answering his cell phone, and when the big guy’s sandal breaks, Angelina Jolie’s main man is right there to help. Through TV editing magic (and the help of suspension wires), Brad lifts his large boss up into his arms as gracefully as only Brad can, and ostensibly whisks him off to his destination. A message then appears on the screen in Japanese.” Back in April, we showed some stills from the commercial’s shoot, so that will have to suffice.

  1. That advert for Softbank was probably taken down as it might have been in their contract with Pitt that the exposure of the advert is limited to the Japanese market. Many big name stars do adverts abroad on the proviso that they won’t be aired or run in the US as they don’t want to affect their ‘credibility’.

  3. Man, with all the Michael Jackson drama going on, I forgot that Bradangelina existed. Which I don’t really mind anyway. LOL

  4. Lady Jane is correct. American celebrities love the money from advertising overseas, especially in Japan, but do not want the commercials aired in the States. It ruins their careers. If Brad wanted to do commercials here, he would. I am not a Brad fan but I admire that he actually took a ride from a photog/stranger. He strikes me as controlling and a bit paranoid.

  9. I hope that the reason Brad’s mouth is open so much while in the car is that he is talking. I would hate to think that he’s one of those mouth-breather guys. That is just so unattractive.

AJ wrote that of course. The writing is that of an adult. She seems to be creative. Is it still cute?

  11. An adult would have put an apostrophe between the Y and the S. Madd probably wrote it. Interesting that Brad was wearing it when his motorcycle broke down and the papzs just happened to be in the vicinity. Is he trying to tell somebody something?

  12. This story is so confusing to me. Brad’s bike broke down. I understand that. But, did he just catch a ride and leave his bike on the street? Just like walk away from the bike? I don’t understand why he didn’t call someone to come and get the bike and get a ride with that person?
