Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s 17 yo daughter lost 30 lbs: ‘She’s tiny. She’s come into her own’

I don’t watch Don’t Be Tardy so I didn’t know that Kim Zolciak Bierman had a 17 year-old daughter. I know she has that older daughter, Brielle, 21, who occasionally makes headlines for talking about her fake lips, and I know she four young kids with her current husband, Kroy, but I didn’t realize she had another older daughter. She does though, there’s also Ariana, 17. Apparently Ariana lost 30 pounds recently, and Kim talked about it to Entertainment Tonight. She sounds very proud of her daughter’s size and weight loss, but she gives some lip service to the idea that beauty comes from within. Then Kim brags about how small she’s been all her life.

“I do believe that beauty shines from, truly, within,” she tells ET. “We focus on that kind of thing.”

“I think it’s a very touchy subject,” Kim says. “I’m the same size actually now that I was in high school, I’ve always been kind of the same size, but you know, I’m 5’8,” I’m not — I was always, like, a size four, sometimes even a six with my boobs. So, I can relate to Ariana and her frustration.”

“Ariana, now, she’s lost, like, 30 lbs.,” Kim reveals. “She works out at the gym every day. She’s itty-bitty tiny. She’s really kind of come into her own. But at the time, a lot of her friends are on the smaller side … they’re, like, a size negative-zero, 99 percent of her friends, so to her, she’s like, ‘I’m fat, and I’m this…’ and it’s just hard, and it’s heartbreaking.”

“When I went in to have my tummy tuck, I went in a size two/four and I came out a size two/four, I didn’t go in and change my body size and body makeup,” she notes. “I’m very open with them about feeling my best.”

“So, I’m very open with my children on that,” she continues. “I am not open to any plastic surgery on my girls at this time. I tell them, you know, when you’re done having kids and all that good stuff, worry about all that stuff later on down the road, if that’s what you want to do, but you guys are beautiful and so young.”

[From Entertainment Tonight]

ET includes the note that Kim doesn’t consider injectables plastic surgery. Can you imagine the kind of issues Kim is pushing off onto her kids? Also, how does it make sense that she was always a size four or six but can still relate to Ariana? Like if she’s always been the same size how can she relate to that? Plus she’s not telling the truth, I remember her being bigger on RHOA, getting some kind of weird laser cellulite treatment, and eating pizza at the same time. She wasn’t big by any means but she wasn’t the size she is now. Also, she’s bragging about getting a tummy tuck and not needing it. These girls are in the family business, they look like clones of their mom, and it’s not like they’re going to go to college. Brielle hasn’t yet. Why bother when she can make money starring on their family reality show and posting to Instagram?

17 going on 35! The photos make me so sad.

  2. Murphy says:

Ugh I was really hoping this one would escape to college instead of becoming a FemBot like her sister and mother. Sigh.

    • ChillyWilly says:

Me too Murphy! She always seemed smarter than Kim and Brielle. Besides the lip injections and boob job, what kind of mother lets a 17 year old post these gross photos to social media??? I have no doubt she is literally pimping these girls out.

  3. Berlin says:

Her mother is her enabler. She should help her with her self esteem, not help her look like an old sex doll.

I hope this Botox/Filler trend dies out. Too many young women look like replicas of each other.

  4. Astrid says:

The lips! ugh! I feel sad for the kids

  5. FHMom says:

My teenage daughter dropped 30 pounds also, and I brought her to be evaluated for an eating disorder. I don’t understand why she is proud and not worried.

    • Esmom says:

I know, right? And not only that she had to bring up the fact most of her friends are smaller. I cannot believe how effed up this family is. That photo is a nightmare.

And I’m so happy/proud of all the teen/young adult women who embrace their looks and size exactly as they are.

I hope your daughter is doing well.

      • Pinetree13 says:

Right!!?>!>. Who would ever say that! Like her daughter is going to read that and be like, “my mom just told the world she thinks I’m bigger than all my friends” some low key eating disorder encouragement

    • CharliePenn says:

A teenage family member on my husband’s side lost about 30 Lbs at the age of 17 (and it was not needed she was perfectly healthy, athletic build). The whole family cheered her on and acted like she had gotten a PHD or something, like it was an absolutely huge accomplishment. They even showed pictures at family gatherings of how amaaazingly skinny she was now, talked incessantly about her dress size and exact weight. The whole family including her mother has tons of disordered eating going on.

Now that young woman is 21 and she’s been through hell. In and out of eating disorder rehabilitation centers, drug abuse to get back to that highly-praised unhealthy low weight, her whole life revolves around her body now. It makes me sick and very sad and very scared for her.
Well done doing what’s best for your child!!! You may have prevented years of struggle and disorders.

  6. Himmiefan says:

There’s no way I’d let a 17 year old pose like that. She’s learned that her worth is in how sexy she is. And apparently, coming into her own means being teeny tiny. Uh, no.

  7. Steff says:

Let me guess, they have the same doctor as the Kardashians.

  8. Sadezilla says:

This is so sad. “Old sex doll” is exactly right, and she’s 17! Wow, the emotional baggage Kim has placed on her kids is powerful.

  9. boredblond says:

Looks like a lot of both mother and daughter isn’t ‘their own’

  10. Wasabi says:

The social-media-influencer-reality-celebrity market needs to implode already. It makes me sad and affraid at the same time. Such empty people.

Also… How much more cosmetics lines do we need? Riri did it best, everyone go home!

    • Harryg says:

I’m so sick of all these people marketing their crap. Sick of them.

    • ChillyWilly says:

Yes! Instagram and Facebook are from hell.

      • me says:

It’s those stupid filters. If those never existed you wouldn’t see half these girls posting non-stop pics. Most of these girls look NOTHING like their pics in real life. Kylie Jenner and the Kardashians are a good example of that. You can even filter video footage too. Ever notice on KUWTK how blurred PMK’s face always is?

      • Spicecake38 says:

We don’t have Facebook or instagram. So many people do such idiotic things that will haunt them because of social media.
We are able to snoop on people’s Facebook by logging into my moms account, and I hate to admit that seeing people’s perfect lives can sometimes make me think I’m lazy, boring, ugly, out of touch, and then I remember how fake it all is!

      • Anners says:

@spicecake – that’s precisely why I dumped FB and insta, too. I’m a grown adult (and one who’s fairly savvy about media manipulation) and I *still* get sucked into that ugly comparison/competition cycle. I can’t even imagine how much it must mess with teenage minds.

      • Anoni Mus says:

Totally! Facebook makes me feel bad about myself, so I don’t use it anymore.

  11. OriginalLala says:

That poor kid, being taught that being skinny and looking like a plastic sex doll is the most important things she should aspire to 🙁

Celebrities all talk about inner beauty and yet, none seem to cultivate it!

    • Florida says:

This is what they want women to think our worth is….T and A only.

Look, I am all for women making their own decisions on how sexual they want to appear and be. I don’t want to police anyone. But I really wish society as a whole, would demand an end to this type of thing. There’s more to life than sex, being “sexy” and it’s unfortunate that so many people seem to not know this, because nobody is saying this! It’s all “sex sex sex be sexy sexy sexy” ALL THE TIME. It’s exhausting and annoying and I feel awful for the younger women that believe this is all they are worth.

  12. Lala11_7 says:

I remember seeing those poor girls as little children when the show first came on…

    Jaysus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. leskat says:

What has happened to these girls that makes them convinced that injectables, plastic surgery and altering your body is the only way to be beautiful? That they can only be pretty as long as they are as far away from their natural state as they can get and then do it under the big banner of “this is how I feel best and how dare you comment on it or pass judgment”. I have 2 small daughters and I work every fucking day to tell them how beautiful and strong and smart and funny they are EXACTLY AS THEY ARE. And I use those words too. I also never speak badly about my body or my face, even if I’m thinking it. If when my girls are 16/17 and they are coming to me asking for new boobs or puffier lips or lipo or botox I will weep for I haven’t done my job as a mom to instill confidence and self-esteem and strength in them.

    • Anitas says:

Thing is, these girls have a mother who’s distorted her own face with plastic surgery to “correct” those features that presumably the girls have inherited genetically. So when you have your mother’s old nose or lips or ears that she’d “corrected”, how are you going to feel about yourself? No amount of convincing how beautiful you are is going to help when you know your own Mum found those features ugly enough to go under the knife.

      • leskat says:

And this is exactly why I will keep my body and face the same as it is. I want my daughters to see beauty in themselves and in me. I want them to know that even though they may have things that aren’t their favorite, that’s who they are. Hell, I have always hated my nose, and my sister had a nose job a few years ago to change “our” nose because she felt so bad with it. I absolutely know why she did it, but I will never agree with it. But I have found ways to embrace it and accept it and like it because this is the nose I was intended to have and it’s a family thing.

    • isabelle says:

      Their mother happened to them.

  14. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I just don’t know what to say. There’s so many layers of f&cked up here.

  15. Harryg says:

I wish they stopped rewarding vapid greedy grifters with their own shows. Just seeing the ads for Zolziack’s show make my brain cells collapse and die.

  16. L84Tea says:

Her interview leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. It reminds me of a second/third cousin of mine who, when in high school, went through a period where she was very anorexic. While her parents were trying to get her help, her grandmother (my great aunt) kept telling her and everyone how great the anorexic cousin looked and what was the problem–because she came from that old generation where all women are supposed to be thin and pretty. My grandmother (the great aunt’s sister) was the exact same way and made no bones about fat-shaming people.

  17. me says:

Well when they see how being “thin” and “pretty” can make them A LOT more money than working your ass off in college for 4 years, why on earth would they choose college? This is what we are teaching young girls. It’s gross.

    • leela says:

This!!! Its just sad & tragic seeing this photos. I thought the other daughter was Khloe Kardashian. As a poster commented below, these plastic surgeons only seem to know how to do a single look. We really are close to becoming another version of a dystopian society.

  18. Darla says:

I’m so happy I have no idea who these people are.

    • Nilo says:

Indeed,me too. They are nobodies in EU.

    • Kitten says:

LOL same, Darla. The sausage lips are simply TRAGIC though..damn.

    • lucy2 says:

I just remember flipping channels once and giggling about the terrible wig the mother was wearing on some show.

Just glancing at the photos, they all look sad and vacant. I can’t imagine limiting your life, or your CHILDREN’s life, to what they look like.

  19. Vexa says:

This makes me so sad. I hate to see this gross woman pushing her issues on her children.

Also – the plastic surgeons in LA really only know how to do one kind of face, don’t they??

  20. RBC says:

Kim Z and Kris Jenner must be friends. I can just see a “Keeping up with the Biermanns” reality show in the future.
Kim wants to be as successful as Kris

  21. Nilo says:

These people are why I won’t let my 14 yo on Insta. What kind of values are they being taught? Such utter crap.

  22. Cindy says:

That header pic. Wow. Ive seen video game characters that resemble real people more than that.

  23. Carobell says:

She looks sad to me. Poor kid, her mom’s comparing her to her friends. That’s just the worst.

  24. megs283 says:

So she’s not into plastic surgery for her kids…but she obviously promotes anorexia/bulimia/body dysmorphia/exercise addiction/tanning addiction?

Slow clap for mom of the year…

  25. Millenial says:

I hate how she says plastic surgery would be more acceptable “after” they’ve had kids. There is nothing wrong with post-baby bodies and the saggier boobs and stretched tummy skin that comes with it. We grew humans, it’s normal. And I resent that it’s other women who are furthering the line of thought that you need to be “fixed” after growing and sustaining human life. GRRR.

    • Pinetree13 says:

Very good point, it really bothers me when people say their or others bodies were “ruined” by children. My body isn’t “ruined”. That’s such hurtful language and very anti woman

  26. Idiotsgalore says:

I really cannot understand how they look at their lips & think Yes! I look great!!
Those lips look botched! It looks like an allergic reaction! It’s such a mess! Someone close to them has to be honest at some point! Have a intervention!!! My goodness! I expect more from Kroy! He was always so firm & strict with the girls! This surprises me.

  27. Rina says:

Is she only 17 years old? She looks much older with the “work” on her face. Will it stop here? I doubt it will be enough as she morphing to seek acceptance and attention (perceived fame) from others.

Who is next? North, Penelope, Chicago, Dream..?

The brainwashing by enablers is unsettling. It robs children and young adults from exploring avenues for growth besides peddling their looks/bodies. Teach them to appreciate and love themselves from within and witness the beauty that blooms from raising future adults who are self-assured, strong, and productive members of society.

    #rantover

  28. itspurplespice says:

It sounds to me like she’s saying being a size 4-6 is “big” and that’s how she relates to her daughter being “bigger than her friends”. So probably, her daughter was a size 4-6 or similar and made to feel like she’s fat because of all the toxicity she’s been fed throughout her life.

    • jay says:

totally. guaranteed she watched her mom getting ready to go out and it was a flurry of dissatisfaction of how her body looked in clothes, trying on outfit after outfit while complaining about being “fat”, not wanting to go, begrudgingly settling on something to wear and downing a few glasses of wine to feel good enough to leave the house. no wonder the girl hates herself. no wonder “coming into your own” as a woman in this family means losing weight.

    • Pinetree13 says:

That’s how I interpreted that as well “tee hee I was once a fat size six, most of that was boobs though so really size 4, so i can relate to my formerly fat daughter” barf

  29. Barbara Owens-DeWitt says:

That kid looks downright depressed. I can hear Kim cackling that anyone who expresses any side-eye with her approach to parenting are jealous. Oy. They all need serious therapy.

  30. JadedBrit says:

This makes me absolutely incandescent with rage.
As a teenager I was horribly anorexic. It rose out of a number of issues – bad home life, bullying at school, an older boyfriend who was obsessed with keeping me a (then) UK size 6-8 – I’m not sure what the equivalent is now – but it was hell. The laxatives, the obsessive exercising – I lived ten minutes from school so worked out each lunchtime as well as every evening – the hair loss, the pride in ‘disappearing’: this should never, ever, ever be validated. Let alone feted as a lifestyle choice.
It’s good to be fit. It’s good to have good heart health. It’s good to feel good in your own skin. It’s unacceptable to turn your own daughters into science experiments. This woman should be banned from Instagram at the very least. We need infinitely more Jamila Jameels and infinitely fewer – that is to say, no – anorexablers.

  31. jay says:

only in Hollywood is “coming into your own” as a woman related to weight loss.

    • Pinetree13 says:

Right!?!!! Ew coming into your own means maturing and being independent not some stupid vanity project

    • Anners says:

Right?! That comment made me feel so sad and defeated. Feminism has a really long way to go among women.

  32. mycomment says:

those eyes… the saddest looking privileged 17yo. and those nails.
ugh. the distorted world these people live in; no education, and no interest in doing anything other than their hair/lips/nails.

  33. Mar says:

All of these people are creepy

  34. Mrs. Peel says:

    Gross x 3

  35. Taya says:

The size comments reminds me of my aunts who likes to humble brag that her daughter is a size double zero. She does this while hinting to me that other people think I should lose weight (I’m a six). 🙄

    • OriginalLala says:

I also have an aunt like this – she loves to go on and on about how tall and skinny her daughter is and once even compared the accomplishment of me getting my PhD to her daughter’s accomplishment of being skinny…It was so very weird and insulting.

  36. Mel says:

Parental consent or not, I would REVOKE the licence of a doctor doing this to any minor. I barely refrain from demanding it when they do it to 25 year olds.
    This is criminal.
I was 17 when I developed an eating disorder and almost 20 years later, I still have SO MANY issues.
Do not EVER congratulate anyone on weight loss, ever. No matter how old they are. It’s a very delicate balance between the pride and euphoria and shame and self-punishment when the numbers dare go up even a little.
You don’t know people’s stories. Some people do feel good and just lost weight. Good for them. But I’d rather say nothing because you never know what you might trigger. It’s not on anyone’s face if they’re on the « positive » and healthy approach to dieting or not.

  37. FredsMother says:

Lol at 17. Nothing else to add.

  38. Coneorcup says:

Kardashians 100% normalised this s e x d o ll look. And they have been phenomenally successful financially precisely because it gets people wearing and buying so much makeup, fashion items, and other products. It’s not a niche industry but a massive one. That much product and the attending chemicals get absorbed by your skin into your body and you end up even dumber than before.

Ghastly and sad looking, the three of them!

    • LoveBug says:

I have no idea how so much ” fakeness ” is considered attractive.
Hair seems to be full of hair extensions, the nails look fake, so much make up on 17 year old, it’s really sad.
      I don’t wear 1/10 of it and I’m 28.
The lips, the bust, the pose way too much for 17 year old girl.
Who knows how many chemicals are seeping into her body with all that make up, but no worries many women will buy their chemically loaded make up, same as the Kardashians.
Women are giving these people their hard earned money.
I don’t know who is dumber.

  39. MrsClincy says:

We tell our kids everyday they are perfect the way they are. My husband is African American and I myself am of mixed race so unfortunately our 10 year old daughter has been labelled as having ‘bad’ hair and is constantly cutting it or begging us to treat it so it will lay down and it saddens me because she is perfect and people like this are making it harder for us to teach our daughters that they don’t need to alter their appearances.

  40. Shannon Malcom says:

Wow. Those pictures of her daughters just make me sad.
