For months, we’ve been discussing Jeff Bezos, the breakup of his marriage from Mackenzie Bezos, and his affair with Lauren Sanchez. Bezos made a really strong argument that the National Enquirer attempted to blackmail him in an attempt to get him to shut down his internal investigation into who outed his affair and ended his marriage. I still think there are pieces to the larger story – political retribution from the David Pecker-Donald Trump alliance, plus the Saudi connection – which deserve to be thoroughly investigated. But I also tapped out of the story when Lauren Sanchez’s brother started talking. It was clear that David Sanchez was one shady character, and it was also clear that he had a hand in selling out his sister and her then-married lover, Jeff Bezos. As it turns out, that’s exactly what happened:
The National Enquirer paid the brother of Jeff Bezos’ mistress $200,000 for the racy text messages and other dirt used in their story that sunk the billionaire’s marriage, a report said. The tabloid paid the money to Michael Sanchez, the brother of Bezos mistress Lauren Sanchez, with an upfront contract in exchange for the text messages used in an 11-page spread about their affair that was published in January, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Michael Sanchez, who has been a longtime source for the Enquirer, began speaking to the tabloid about Bezos and his sister’s relationship last fall, according to the report. Sanchez and the Enquirer finalized the deal on Oct. 26. The Enquirer’s lawyer, Cameron Stracher, included an upfront payment in the contract to prove the story would not be a “catch and kill” operation similar to the ones it had carried out on behalf of President Trump during the 2016 presidential election, the newspaper reported.
Yeah. We been knew. Put aside the Saudi connection and the fact that David Pecker went after one of Trump’s perceived enemies for a moment. What this story boils down to is a mistress and her married lover being sold out by someone close. What did David Sanchez do, take his sister’s phone and send himself all of their texts and selfies and such? I think that’s exactly what happened. I also think it’s possible that Lauren Sanchez was in on the scheme, and the richest man in the world got rooked by two bargain-basement Florida hustlers, a brother-and-sister con artist team.

I completely believe that she was in on it to force his hand in leaving his wife. This benefits her too greatly not to have been involved, it’s a huge win for her and she can easily act as if she knew nothing. The brother & sister seem like hustlers to me.

I think she was in on it because she wanted to force Jeff’s hand. Splitting $200k with her brother is small potatoes compared to the amount of money she has access to as Jeff’s girlfriend (eventual wife?) as opposed to being his mistress.

agreed, i was thinking this from the beginning. as in, it can be both – the enquirer and Trump wanted to take Bezos down and the rumors about a mistress were going around in certain circles.
the brother was game cos money and Trump supporting so convincing him was easy, and Lauren herself saw it as an opportunity to force Bezos out of his marriage.
Bezos was a fool to blow up his marriage for this woman but it is done now. The question is whether he will continue to be her fool? He may be romantically naive but he certainly is not stupid. Expensive lessons though

All the same, he didn’t take her to the Oscars. Shortly after they were outed, she was his date to the Globes. So… that seems a relationship downgrade to me.
I don’t believe it went down this way. I think they’re putting this story out to cover up who actually arranged this attack on Bezos. Which I think is Trump. Why would we believe the Enquirer saying the brother did it, when they are Trump’s PR rag? Bezos must be close to filing a big lawsuit, and this is how they think they’ll explain it away. Can’t see that working.

Knowing the brother was involved in the trump campaign makes his enquirer connection a no-brainer, considering all these lowlife cons seem to be linked to one another and use the same playbook. I can’t believe though that she would be so $tupid as to be in on the $cheme.

Eh. She loses more selling Bezos out than staying the course. I really don’t think she was in on it. From Sanchez’s point of view there are three maybe four realistic outcomes from her relationship with Bezos:
1. She’s just a mistress / girlfriend
2. She gets him to marry her and she can enjoy his largesse while married – don’t think for one second that Bezos would marry her without the most ironclad prenup known to man.
3. She uses the relationship to gain additional exposure and get more contracts for her business.
These only work if her and Jeff are an item. I think her idiot brother did it, because he’s an idiot. If one wants to believe that Sanchez is a cunning honey pot gold digger, than you have to accept that she wouldn’t be stupid enough to get herself booted off the gravy train this early.
Of course I’m of the opinion that most of the comments about her being a gold digger are moreso related to her looks and bad plastic surgery; and if she looked like Melinda Gates or Heidi Klum no one would bat an eye.
Everytime I see Bezos, I see Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor in Superman Returns. And Lauren is starting to look like John Leguizamo in “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar”, which is to say she looks great?!?

Something very suspicious about it all. He had complete access to the phone. Either she is naive and gave him her passcode/doesn’t have one or she was in on it. My guess is she was in on it. Her brother got some cash/fame and she got access to more money than any of us will ever see in our lifetime (which she will find a way to share with bro if she marries Bezos). Plus the fame angle. Bezos is a stupid, egotistical rich guy and fell for the whole thing and still seems to believe it. Sure she loves you for you. All billion dollars of you.
