Prince Andrew’s title & phone number appears in Jeffrey Epstein’s little black book

Last night, ITV aired their documentary, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile. As we discussed, the biggest revelation seemed to be that Andrew kept “50 to 60” stuffed animals on his bed – as an adult, when he was living in Buckingham Palace – and he would “shout and scream” at the maids if the stuffed animals were not arranged in the right order on his bed.

Just going off secondary coverage of the ITV special, it doesn’t seem like there’s tons of new information beyond that? Former RPO Paul Page believes that Ghislaine and Andrew had an intimate relationship: “from the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace, at will, we realised… suspected, that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew. A colleague of mine remembered her coming in four times in one day from the morning till the evening – she kept coming in and out, in and out…” Andrew was also in Jeffrey Epstein’s “little black book.”

During one clip, the same journalist discovers an entry in the book under ‘Duke of York’, with Buckingham Palace, London, assigned as the address. A number is also supplied, which the journalist proceeds to call.

It goes to voicemail and a message – the voice of which she said “sounds like Andrew” – said: “I’m afraid I have not been quick enough to get to the phone before it went off to take your message. If you do have a message, please leave it and I will get back to you as soon as I can.”

[From The Independent]

This is not surprising to me, given all of the reporting about Andrew’s relationships with Maxwell and Epstein in recent years. I actually believed Andrew when he said he was closer to Maxwell than Epstein. Clearly, Maxwell was the more “charismatic” one and she enjoyed (gross) enabling and procuring for awful men. But Andrew clearly socialized with Epstein, and they were close enough that Andrew would stay at Epstein’s home in New York. Even after Epstein got out of prison, having taken a plea deal on his many crimes.

Meanwhile, Andrew’s social media has been deactivated:

Prince Andrew’s Twitter account has been deleted and a Government Minister slammed his ‘horrifically ill-advised associations’ as pressure intensified on the Queen’s son one week after she removed his honorary military roles.

Social media users visiting the Duke of York’s official Twitter page @thedukeofyork today were greeted with a message saying ‘this account doesn’t exist – try searching for another’ just hours after it was still live yesterday. The Duke’s Facebook and Instagram accounts – which both have the handle @hrhthedukeofyork – were still live this morning, six days after Andrew lost his titles and gave up his use of the HRH style last Thursday.

However a source close to Andrew told MailOnline today that all of his social media channels had now been removed and were no longer live, but some of them were taking longer to filter through. The source said: ‘The changes have been made to reflect the recent statement from Buckingham Palace regarding The Duke of York.’

I didn’t even realize that he was on Twitter & Instagram, not to mention Facebook. I wonder… if he used those accounts for any personal matters? He might have a finsta? I’m sure Virginia Giuffre’s lawyers will sort through it, in any case.

Yes – nothing that surprising except the fucking creepy 50-60 stuffed animals on his bed WTF lol

Please, someone with a degree in psychology explain to me why he would do this? Or is it as simple as he is an infant mentally?

  2. Meg says:

The real story is Maxwell stopped contesting making public the names of the Johns in her settlement with VRG. Pedo Andy is clearly on the list and the palace got a heads up and acted.

  3. Mia4s says:

Wait a minute….so if genuine this is some kind of a side/private number (which I get, I’m sure most royals have one) and with he and his people knowing everything was being exposed and investigated and this information being made available to tons of outsiders in the past few years they HAVEN’T CHANGED HIS NUMBER?!?

    HAHAHAHAHA! OMG…I can’t, I just…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

      @Mia4s
Just IMAGINE the voicemails left on that!!! Oh to be a fly on the wall!!!

    • Cessily says:

My thought exactly! After the first Epstein investigation/arrest/conviction he knew they had access to his “black book” that was way back in 2005-2008? Why would you not change all your numbers? That reporter calling him was cringe worthy, he truly is arrogant beyond belief.

  4. Watson says:

Imagine entrusting this man with any social media to being with? His pr team must have worked overtime to censor all the negative commentary. Lolol.

  5. Amy Bee says:

Apparently, the only revelation was the teddy bears story so I don’t know what ITV’s agenda was in airing this programme. Maybe to appear that they aren’t protecting Andrew but they are. Given that the Palace has deleted Andrew’s twitter page does this mean they will at some point delete Harry and Meghan’s Instagram page?

    Surprise!?

  7. Becks1 says:

yeah, so Epstein/Maxwell could reach Andrew pretty much anytime they wanted, no matter where he was. They went to BP, Balmoral, etc. and he still seems surprised that that’s an issue for people.

I do think he was probably closer to Maxwell which makes me think there was scrambling/panic after she was found guilty.

    • C-Shell says:

I really believe this to be true. PA leaned into his close relationship/friendship with Maxwell in the Maitlis interview, and it appears from what we know that his relationship with Epstein was mostly transactional, even though HRH (and his family) spent a great deal of time at all of Epstein’s properties, on the Lolita Express. Maxwell’s conviction, followed closely by her team abandoning the John Does to fend for themselves, must have the Yorks sweating bullets.

ETA — I also believe that Maxwell’s revolving door at BP was more about pimping. She’s far too old for NonceyDrew.

As someone had posted on another article
    “The jokes keep writing themselves”
    This family 🙄

  9. Rachel+De+Young says:

Accurate, there was nothing new in this doc. I watched it last night. They did say there was a picture of the line up of Teddy bears that the housekeepers used to get the Teddy’s in the right spot to avoid a tantrum from Andy. lol

  10. Aeren says:

Excuse the dumb question but what are “flunkies”?

    • Jaded says:

Not a dumb question at all — flunky is a term to describe someone who does menial chores, a servant, a domestic, a clerk, e.g. “Since I’m just the flunky who files his papers, I have no idea where he is.”

  11. MissMarirose says:

ITV posted a clip of that reporter making the phone call to DOY’s number. I don’t know if it sounds like him or not; i’ve never heard his voice enough to tell. But her face when she heard the VM message was gold.

  12. Likeyoucare says:

    Stuff animals you say?
Isn’t virginia said andrew use doll to mollest her?

  13. B says:

@ Aeren, just Google the term

  14. Gubbinal says:

General thoughts: some upper-crust rich men really love to revert to the nursery and be scolded by Nanny. The Nanny is the true mother-figure and these blokes want their nannies. They love the way Nanny wielded her authority.
Maybe teddy bears, being a beloved infant, acting like a child who fields outrageous lies in the hopes that they will fly, is Andrew’s life-long schtick?
Maybe Fergie handles him because she loved being a dominant Nanny figure?
Andrew went to Gordonstoun which is probably a by-word for cruelty. Prince Charles’s experience there was depicted on The Crown.

  15. Lionel says:

The thing about Epstein’s little black book is that he wrote down the numbers of EVERYONE he considered “important,” because having those numbers made him feel special, whether he used them or not. It wasn’t a list of trafficking associates per se, it was just his address book from the pre -iPhone days. (For example, Epstein had as many numbers for Hillary Clinton as for Andrew, and QAnon notwithstanding I don’t believe she was in any way personally involved in his mess.) The fact that Andrew didn’t change the number once it was published, as someone mentioned above, is the head-scratcher!

    • Merricat says:

You might mean Bill Clinton, who was reportedly very close to Epstein.

      • Lionel says:

Nope, I mean Hillary! The entire book was published online back in 2019 (possibly before, but that’s when I saw it.) Bill was in there too, of course, but that tracks. There were lots of other folks who are rich or otherwise influential and yet who seem unlikely to have been engaging in rape/sex trafficking. (A category in which, sadly, I wouldn’t include Bill.) Hillary is my best example of someone who had multiple private phone numbers listed but whom I refuse to believe was involved in his crimes. The whole thing read like the address book of an insecure person who was very, very excited about his proximity to power.

None of this absolves Andrew, BTW. There’s ample evidence against him, which I wholeheartedly believe. I’d just argue that being in Epstein’s phone book doesn’t say much in itself.

    • The Recluse says:

Epstein collected ‘people’ because who knows when someone might become useful to him. Even John Cleese and his wife turned up among his records although they didn’t have much at all to do with him.
