  1. I live in my own little world. My first thought (on the Roger Rabbit sequel) was “God. Jessica will be so old.”

  2. Perhaps the only reason people don’t like him is because he isn’t politically correct or nice to the ones on AI who aren’t talented. Fundamentally he very well might be nice, but I don’t think he’s this monster just because he doesn’t let the untalented get to the next level.

  3. I just saw the Juliette Lewis video for “Fantasy Bar” and I was knocked out!Time for her band to break big! If she can keep her trap shut and open it just to sing, I think we have something here!

  4. Ordinarily I suspect celebs of doing stuff like that to better their PR and image, but in Simon’s case, he doesn’t really seem to care what anyone thinks of him, so it seems more sincere.
Either way, great that the girl and her family are getting some help.

  6. Simon Cowell doesn’t need any help in the PR department, so I believe that this act of charity is genuine. I always knew Simon was really a good guy!

  7. This was a really nice thing to do. I’ve only watched a few American Idol episodes and to me he’s just brutally honest to the guests on the show. I think we are becoming such a coddled society that there is just a higher number of delusional people out there.

I think there was a story a while back about how Simon gave his ex girlfriend a house and millions of dollars after they separated because they couldn’t agree on the future together. (kids I think?) Anyways, I think he’s a decent man who does right by people he thinks deserve it. He’s not afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind when it comes to people and their talent. If brutal honesty makes him mean, then so be it. There were so many ridiculous people who thought they were talented that it was hilarious to see him put them in their place. So that when someone comes along that can actually sing, it means more when he gives credit where its due.
