Several weeks ago, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom went to a big party in Morocco. It was over Thanksgiving – and instead of reporting that the couple, who have been together for three years, were happily posing together, the tabloids went a little wild reporting that there might be something between Orly and Jennifer Aniston. For the record, I believe Orly and Aniston are friends, and they have the same management, but they are not together in the least. Everyone missed on the real news from that weekend – that Miranda and Orly got engaged! For real this time.
ORLANDO Bloom is engaged to his model girlfriend Miranda Kerr after finally popping the question during a holiday in Morocco.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom and Victoria’s Secrets model Miranda Kerr are engaged after dating for nearly three years.
Miranda’s brother confirmed the news, saying: “He’s finally done it. Orlando has proposed. They’re getting married.”
The pair, who have been denying rumours of wedding bells for months, are reportedly planning to tie the knot next summer, although a date has not yet been confirmed.
Orlando split with girlfriend Kate Bosworth in 2006 after dating for nearly four years.

Of course, just because Miranda’s brother is confirming it doesn’t make it so. There have been engagement rumors for a while now, and they usually get shoot down pretty quickly, always by Miranda’s people. My theory is that Orly has been trying to marry Miranda for a while – and she’s the one making him wait.
In any case, I hope this news is for real, and I wish the happy couple my congratulations. They seem sweet together, and spending three years together is nothing to scoff at. The Orly-loonies are going to be depressed, though. At least he isn’t engaged to Kate Bosworth.
UPDATE: Someone is claiming that Miranda’s rep shot down this rumor and claimed that Miranda’s brother never gave that quote, but I can’t find the denial. I will update if I find it.
UPDATE #2: Okay, yeah, they aren’t engaged. What’s up with this couple? Orly’s rep says: “There is no truth to any rumors of engagement.” Orly got denied again!

I am not sad that he is engaged – not an orly-loonie but I just think this couple is a little blah. But yeah I guess anyone is better than bosworth!

YAY i am happy for them. I just watched the LOTR trilogy recently and I remember why I loved Orlando at one time. Legolas is SOOOOO cute. I hated the Pirates movies though – painful to watch but I did watch because I love Johnny Depp!

I don’t remember if Brad was married to Jennifer at the time or not, but she and Orlando could have met when he and Brad did “Troy.” Either on the set or when doing publicity.
Just a thought about why they might have seen as overly friendly.

I remember when Orlando was so firckin’ hot! Legolas and Aragorn (Viggo) were the best reasons to watch LOTR!
I don’t think Miranda is pretty. Orlando as Legolas (that sexy elf!)was prettier. Yeah I said it.

God, I just watched the whole LOTR trilogy yesterday, and he was so gorgeous in it! I had the biggest crush on him when it came out. He must have the biggest rise and fall in fame in the last few years, I can’t think of anyone who got so massive so quickly, and is now only known for who they’re dating.

I was a COMPLETE orlyfan when I was a little Freshie in High School. I had a different pic of Orly in my computer every day. It all ended when he did POTC2. Did not understand one bit of it. LOL! Then he dated the Bosworth. So it just went downhill from there with my 14 year old self!
