Nicole Richie debuts lovely new brunette look

36375pcn_nicole02

Here is Nicole Richie debuting her new look over the weekend at a promotional event for her House of Harlow jewelry collection (which is selling really well). I have to say, this is the prettiest I think Nicole has ever been. I love the rich, dark hue of her hair now, and I love the cut – it really compliments her face. I also love that she’s not dieting and trying to loose her baby weight after Sparrow – not that she even looks like she just had a baby in September (son Sparrow), but she does look curvy and pretty, which is lovely. Us Weekly has more:

Do brunettes have more fun?

On Saturday, Nicole Richie debuted a darker do at the launch of the House of Harlow 1960 Holiday Collection at Bloomingdale’s in Costa Mesa, Calif.

“I did it about a week-and-a-half ago,” the mother-of-two, 28, told Usmagazine.com when asked about her new look. “I change my hair color all the time, and I hadn’t done it in a few years. With the babies, I just really hadn’t had time. I’m so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn’t done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde! I was ready for a change!”

Richie said she is gearing up for the holidays with beau Joel Madden and their two kids, Harlow (who turns 2 next month) and 3-month-old Sparrow.

Any family traditions?

“I don’t have a lot of traditions,” she said. “I have gotten a new Christmas ornament every year so I will probably do that. I’m a big eggnog drinker. Not the kind with alcohol in it, but the regular kind. I thought that everyone drinks eggnog, but as I’m getting older, I’m learning that people actually think it’s really gross, but I love it, so I will definitely have some eggnog!”

Her kids “are great,” she said, adding that Harlow “loves being a big sister.”

Sigh… I’ve grown to love this girl and her family. I think Nicole should be held up as an example to all of the Lindsay Lohans, Miley Cyruses, Courtney Loves and Pamela Andersons of the world that you can change. You don’t have to be a sketchy famewh-re for life, even if you’ve been one for a while. Plus, Nicole is showing those women that you look better when you’re not trying to hard to get attention – and I’m so happy Nicole has gotten rid of that ugly dirty-blonde mess!

Oh, and here are those adorable photos Nicole released last week – Harlow is such a ham! And Sparrow doesn’t know what is going on.

I like the color of the hair and she looks healthy but the hair cut makes her head look a little bit too small for her body.

Ummm , Nicole should example to anyone. She was a heroin addict ,that when to rehab , then she had a prescription drug problem, eating dissorder and got in legal trouble and while she was doing all that she got pregnant.

I don’t think she should be an example , just because she is not drunk in public .

I think Drew is still the example.

I am not a fan of hers but I have to say that she looks great, not too big not too small, perfect weight for her height and the new hair style makes her look even better and classier. So good for her.

If you mean it compliments her face by covering most of it up, then yes, this is the prettiest she has looked.

Besides having babies and attending some charity events, can anyone tell me what she’s done to make her the new Princess Diana? She still seems like a vapid idiot, just one with kids.

I think she looks great (hair color, weight, etc)… but I wish she would get her bangs out of her eyes.

Hair color is pretty, but I don’t like the cut. Kind of mop-like.
While I don’t think she’s going to be the next big whatever, I am glad to see that she seems to have gotten her life together, gotten away from the addictions, and is being a good mom to her kids.

I believe this hair color is very close to her natural color. I have always thought that people tend to look their best with their natural (or close to natural) hair.

The family pictures are awesomely sweet.

I thought it was Asslee Simpson til I read the headline. I’ll be the lone voice of dissent and say I don’t think the new color is all that flattering. I actually think it’s a little heavy for her, a little too dark. She is a pale person and the dark color makes her look even more washed out. Just my little old 2 cents…

I think Nicole’s hair looks great. And she does look very healthy.

I that she should be the example for all the other struggling starlets. I’ve read several interviews about her overcoming her addictions. If I remember the article correctly, she no longer drinks alcohol. She may not have changed her behavior until the pregnancy, but at least she is on the right path.

I believe she participates in a lot of charity events (not just shows up to events). People mag had an article a few months back about how Nicole raised 35,000 for a playground for a children’s shelter and was there helping set it up.

I like the color but not the bangs. I like Nicole Richie. She was once a Paris Hilton cling-on, managed to clean up her drug addled act and be a good mom. Good for her.

She’s so delicate and gorgeous. If only she would just DO something to warrant all this fame. Oh well, maybe she simply can’t. At least she’s a natural beauty and knows how to wear fashion.

  13. Jillian says:

I think this is her worst look. She looks beautiful with the side swept bangs, but not with them down in her eyes. The color is fine, but I prefer blonde. Just my 2 cents.

I’ve always liked her and right now she’s at a healthy weight. Not too thin.

I completely admire her and she always looks so amazing, I never understood why she wasn’t a bigger “star” but maybe with her new show she will be.
BTW she doesn’t just “show up” to charity events – She and Joel founded the Richie Madden Foundation, which helps donate money to underprivileged kids in need – it was this foundation that raised the 35,000 for the playground. She has really turned her life around and she seems to be a great mom who never tries to exploit her kids for publicity. Notice how you never hear stories about her and Joel breaking up or fighting? I think she learned to value her privacy and stop seeking the limelight.

Definitely, cut bangs. Her hair now looks healthy and shiny, before it looked over processed. Nicole has matured so much, she has a lovely family, good for her!

I fell in love with her when she was on The Simple Life. She kissed a guy and then said “You smell like onions.” Sorry, I just can’t think of anything more fabulous that a star could do to win my affections.

With two little babies, there’s probably little in the way of time to bleach the half-black out of her hair. Embrace your roots (so to speak), it looks good!

The brown hair is probably close to her natural hair color and is the best she’s ever looked to me. Far better than the washed out blonde extensions. Boring they were.

Sorry, I happened to watch 5 mins of the Simple Life over the weekend and Im back to not liking this broad at all. She is purely vile. (I was starting to warm up to her after seeing her on this site)
Yeah yeah she had a couple of kids and has settled down a little but under all that she is still a spoilt, rude, abnoxious twat.
I hope her kids dont turn out anything like her.
