Vince Vaughn Called Off Sex Scene With Reese, Has A Great Relationship With Ex

It seems that Reese Witherspoon wasn’t the one responsible for canning her sex scene with Vince Vaughn on the set of their new film Four Christmases. Vince wasn’t keen to do the scene either.

It had previously been reported Reese was refusing to film a bedroom romp with the Wedding Crashers star in their new movie Four Christmases, but an insider has revealed it was Vince who was against the scene.

The on set source said: “Vince is a producer on the movie and made sure that there was no sex scene between them in the film. She and Vince are professionals, but they both said no!”

The 37-year-old actor also approved most of the script, which tells the story of a couple whose divorced parents do not get on, so decide to celebrate Christmas separately with each of them.

The Age

Given that Vince and Reese haven’t been getting along on set, I’d guess the scene was dropped because there is nothing worse than a lame sex scene between two people who have no chemistry at all. I suspect this film is going to suck if Vince and Reece aren’t getting along. Remember how Mr and Mrs Smith was a bit of a lame story, but it was saved by Brad and Ange’s chemistry? Well, a movie can be ruined by a lack of chemistry too.

Vince denies the rumors in a new interview with Parade magazine.Which means nothing really, because there is no way you’d do an interview saying what a bitch your co-star is, then go to work with them the next day.

On Reese Witherspoon:
Now you’re doing a film with Reese Witherspoon, and there’s been a lot of tabloid gossip that you guys have been mad at each other.

“I think there were stories that we were clashing on the set. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I adore her. She’s not only a great actress, she’s very funny. We’ve been having a really good time. You predicted that the press would say that we were dating, but they went the other way and said we’re fighting. The two of us get along great.”

On his family:
Is it more than a coincidence that you and your sisters all have names that begin with “v”?

“My dad’s name is Vernon and my mom liked the initials, VV. My sisters and I got named Victoria, Valerie and Vincent so we’d be VV’s, too. But, then when you start getting pets’ names that start with a ‘v,’ it’s a little embarrassing. When you are Vince Vaughn, and you go out to scream for ‘Viking’ the dog to come home, that’s a little much. Then, Mom started looking in a dictionary for names and we ended up with a female Chihuahua, named Vanadis after some mythological goddess. So Victoria, Valerie and Vince were out playing with Vanadis. When I finally got a dog, I named him Rowdy. I had to break the chain.”

On Jennifer Aniston:
“I have such a great friendship with Jennifer. Really. I still talk to her constantly. I have a real, genuine connection with Jen. And I have a real appreciation of her. That continues to this day. In regular life, people date, and sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t. We get more attention because we’re more known. I always try to keep my relationships quiet and my work at the forefront. I haven’t been someone to go and talk about those things, because that’s not what I want to be known for.”

Parade and Perez Hilton

The whole family is named with V names, including the pets? How many years of therapy will that result in?

I wonder if it is Vince’s comment about how great his relationship with Jennifer Aniston is what sparked this story, saying that Jen is pregnant with a baby that could possibly be fathered by Vince. Jen’s publicist has denied the claims, but this would hardly be the first time a publicist has denied pregnancy claims then later admitted that there is actually a bun in the oven.

I’m not inclined to believe that Jen is pregnant with Vince’s baby, because there is no way you’d procreate with Vince when you’re dating Jason Lewis. No. Way. Ever. Have you seen those abs?

Picture note by Celebitchy: Reese Witherspoon is shown on 10/10/07 at the Rendition premiere. Vince Vaughn is shown at the premiere of Fred Claus on 11/5/07, thanks to PRPhotos.
