Here’s the trailer for Materialists. This is Celine Song’s second film after her directorial debut Past Lives, and I love that she went super-mainstream romance/drama. Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson & Chris Evans star in it! [OMG Blog]

Clooney is playing Edward R. Murrow, who had very dark, slicked back hair. Not sure why it’s a problem for Clooney to dye his hair for a role – actors do it all the time.

Did Colbert ask Clooney about the showboating op-ed he bought in the NYT’s to disparage President Biden? Probably not, since Stephen asked President Joe to step aside as well. Birds of a middle age rich white men flock together.

The constitutional crisis is not impending. This IS a constitutional crisis. Trump is not a wannabe dictator. He IS a dictator. It’s here. It’s happening now. Let’s get organized and fight that loser.

Yup and he has just now implemented a social security rule, regarding validation, that will affect an awful lot of his voters adversely. But he doesn’t care. In fact, that is probably the intent. What most people don’t realize is that Social Security relies on Equifax to “validate” social security applicants online. I was not able to be verified because, and I had forgotten about this, placed a freeze on my credit agency accounts in an attempt to avoid fraud. That meant that I could not be validated without unfreezing my accounts. Also, for people that don’t have credit, and I think there are a lot of elderly people like this who live within their means and don’t have credit cards, they can’t be validated as well. Well, we are all considered part of the Great unwashed who are fraudulently receiving retirement benefits. Until the local offices adopt some kind of procedure, and they have not as of yet (I called my local office this morning and they had only just heard about the new rule), to in-person validate Social Security recipients, we will all need to go into our local offices, if they have not been closed down, and prove our identities. Each and every time we have a question about our account! This is also going to greatly affect any retirement funds recipients who live abroad.

I know that in the grand scheme of things this is a relatively minor issue but the way they have no compunction about impeding the ability of Social Security recipients, most notably the elderly, disabled and rural residents, on a major scale to get information about their accounts or even their funds to me is mind-boggling.

I also think it’s ludicrous that Social Security and now DOGE’s AI programs look to Equifax to determine the identity of Social Security recipients and not coordinate with other offices for people that have, for example, passports and Real State IDs. It’s like Equifax’ word is better than a passport!

She is such a bore. When people talk about nepo babies, she is exactly what they mean – famous because of their parents, not because of their talent.

Pedro Pascal over Chris Evans EVERY DAY.

“Impending” is not what our Constitutional crisis is.
