Hopefully, as the cast of Iron Man 2 promotes the hell out their film over the next two weeks, we get millions of interview from Robert Downey Jr, and only a few gems from Gwyneth Paltrow. Because even though Gwyneth annoys the hell out of me, she’s very quotable. So is RDJ – only I love it when he speaks. It’s like he’s flirting with me, and only me. Sigh… I love him. Anyway, during the first part of their promotion, RDJ and Gwyneth talked about their (SPOILER) love scene in the film. RDJ “jokes” that Goopy was all over him:
As Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. battles some ferocious enemies, but he may have met his match in Gwyneth Paltrow, who returns as his character’s love interest in the highly anticipated sequel.
“I couldn’t get her off of me. It was embarrassing,” he said, recounting the pair’s onscreen love scene while at a press conference Friday.
Paltrow remembers things a little differently. “It was great because both my husband [Coldplay's Chris Martin] and his wife [Iron Man 2 executive producer Susan Downey] were right there.”
Downey, however, had more to reveal about his costar’s reaction to his onscreen romantic prowess….
“She said to me that I didn’t know what I was doing, like it didn’t feel good,” he said. “I’m like, you know what? First of all, we’re all friends, so what would be creepy would be if I was coming off all sexy to you—which by the way, I’ve done that in movies and it creeps them out. So what am I going to creep you out for?”
Paltrow laughed off Downey’s contention that he needed to tone down his iron-clad allure, but the erstwhile Tony Stark had the last laugh.
“Despite what she said on set, she still thinks about it.”

Ha, I know he’s joking and everything, but don’t you imagine that Gwyneth probably loved it? I mean, she went from making out with Chris Martin (blech) to RDJ (yay!). She was probably like, “Go left, bitch, and make it good.”
Meanwhile, people are still overanalyzing the optics of Friday’s photo call. The Daily Mail wasn’t all that kind to Gwyneth, reminding everyone that Gwyneth was not included in any of the marketing materials for the film, and making it sound like Gwyneth was trying to out-sexy ScarJo. I still find it odd that ScarJo and Goopy were both wearing grey, although their dresses came from different designers. ScarJo’s was Roland Mouret, while Dame Goopy’s was… wait for it… Victoria Beckham! Can you believe it? I can’t.

Didn’t Victoria Beckham work with Roland Mouret on refining her designs though? I seem to recall something about that, and if true that would explain why they look so similar.

Their dresses are so similar I think it was planned. I don’t think it’s that unusual for costars to coordinate their outfits for press calls/premiers.

Lots of stars are wearing VB. Not that I want to give her any credit but she’s finally pried her way into the design world, however she ripped her way in.
