Jon Gosselin has attempted to explain away the incident with the babysitter, who was spotted outside his place at 3:00 am and just happens to be a cocktail waitress at his favorite watering hole. Jon tells In Touch that the babysitter wasn’t popping in for an early morning hookup, and was just coming over after her shift ended so that she could be there early in the morning to watch the children. I would take his word for it, but the story confirms that the nanny stayed in Jon’s apartment over the garage, not the main house. Plus don’t the Gosselin’s have more than just one nanny at a time for all those kids? Surely the woman could have come over in the morning. Jon and his supernatural-looking face grace the cover of In Touch this week, in which he spins his version of events and paints himself as the victim. He claims Hailey Glassman was his first relationship after wife Kate despite all the evidence that he hooked up with teacher Deanna Hummel first.

Jon Gosselin sets the record straight to In Touch about the recent report by Us Weekly that claims he had a “sexy sleepover” with his children’s nanny, Stephanie Santoro. According to the tabloid, Stephanie, a waitress and single mom, spent the night with Jon at his apartment located over his family’s garage after meeting up at Reading, Pa., nightclub Legends on August 1. Now, Jon tells In Touch that the 23-year-old did indeed stay the night, but explains that it was a purely innocent visit. “There’s no truth to this, there’s nothing going on between my nanny and me,” says Jon. “She came over to my house after her shift at a restaurant at 3 a.m. because I had to leave the house very early the next morning” for his exclusive interview with In Touch, he adds.

Jon’s other recent hookup, Star reporter Kate Major, has a new interview with E! that’s set to air in two parts tonight and tomorrow. In E!’s online preview Kate gushes about Jon and talks about what a great guy he is. Jon pretty much denied having a relationship with Kate 2.0, and told In Touch that she was “a cool new person in New York” that he went to dinner with and that “I have always been true to Hailey.” This is the despite the fact that he spent several well documented nights with Major at Michael Lohan’s place in the Hamptons. Here are some of Kate Major’s quotes as she tries to extend her 15 minutes:

“He’s a great, great guy,” Major told E! “I wish I could think of something wrong with the guy but there really isn’t.” Although, she added, “It’s kinda hard to be romantic when you’re being followed constantly.”

And yet it still hasn’t been that easy to get a handle on what Gosselin is really up to with his coterie of lady friends.

Since the father of eight had “impressed” her so much with his estimable character (and because she felt “instant chemistry” between them), Major was all for that initial dinner—and she figured it was more convenient to ride along with him than follow in her own car.

Though he mostly talked about his kids during that first meeting (and every meeting after that), Major said, “he did talk about Hailey in the beginning.”
Reasonable, considering he was then dating 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed Kate Gosselin’s impressively effective tummy tuck.

Then Gosselin must have figured out that another woman isn’t the most romantic conversation topic because, less than two weeks after taking Glassman to St.-Tropez, he made a Major upgrade.

An admittedly “awkward” sit-down interview with both Glassman and Gosselin already behind her, Major invited the reality-TV star, in New York to shoot footage for Jon & Kate Plus 8, to dinner with her and some friends.

While Major admits that the dinner in question marked the turning point in their relationship from friends to more, she refused to kiss and tell.
“You know, I don’t want to go into any details,” she said, laughing.

But overall, Major said, “I was falling for Jon at that point. It wasn’t planned—it was crazy.”

He looks like he’s been on the bender from hell, and In Touch had photoshop the glassiness from his dilated pupils. And what is wrong with “Sad Shiloh”? Anyway, earlier CB gave us all the rundown on all of the girls Jon Gosselin has been bangin’. There’s the daughter of the plastic surgeon, random bar chicas, that psycho maybe-hooker from Star, and now one of his kid’s babysitters. This man is totally disgusting to me, and I really, really hate that he hasn’t kept his word about not conducting his private business in public. Honestly, I barely want to read this “exclusive” interview with Jon, but here goes. Jon is whining, playing the victim, and now he’s “tired of being blamed”. Douchenozzle.

Since Jon & Kate Plus 8 stars Jon and Kate Gosselin announced they were divorcing on June 22, their lives have been turned upside down. Jon’s life has become a circus and he’s been criticized for partying in St. Tropez and in N.Y.’s Hamptons, and for dating two younger women, Hailey Glassman and tabloid reporter Kate Major. “Things have gotten out of control,” Jon tells In Touch in a revealing interview. “Many people think that everything moved too fast, that I was out partying too quickly. But Kate gave up on the marriage last October, and the divorce will be finalized by September 30.” Jon, 32, met with In Touch on August 2 in New York to set the record straight about his marriage, his new girlfriend, how all of the drama is affecting his children and why he’s tired of being blamed.

What is the biggest difference in your life now, compared to a year ago?
Let’s go back to October of last year — that’s when all of this happened. Kate basically came to me out of the blue and said, “I am done. You are going to live your life, and I am going to live my life.” I was like, “What?” I didn’t really know what was going on. When she said that, I was really upset and nervous.
Why did she want to break up?
I think she initiated the split because she wanted a career. Maybe I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, and she was going to move on regardless. I said, “Are you sure about this?”
Did you want to work it out?
Yes, I asked, “What do I have to do to mend the relationship? What did I do wrong?” I was beating myself up about it. So I read a lot of books about personalities, like The Five Love Languages. Throughout the marriage, I felt like my personality had changed a lot. In December, I went to therapy. I asked Kate to come, but she didn’t want to. She said, “If you have a problem, go fix it.”
When did you and Kate start living separate lives?
We went to Utah on January 1. On January 12, she flew back with security and I stayed. That’s when I started to just hang out and meet people, and feel free. Not too many girls, just with my guy friends. I couldn’t do that for nine years. When I came back on the 17th, Kate and I weren’t talking. So I just said, “I’m moving out of the house,” and that was it.
What was your first relationship?
Hailey — it started around May. She is the polar opposite of Kate. It’s really different. I feel good about myself and people see my good qualities. I’m not being put down. If I want to go out with my friends, Hailey says, “Oh, go out.” I’m not used to that. I was used to, “No, no, it’s your fault.” Sometimes I ask Hailey permission, like I used to do with Kate, and she says, “You don’t have to ask permission.” I was used to living like that, and now it’s like a breath of fresh air. You can have a balanced relationship but also spend time with your friends.
How did you fall in love with Hailey?
We started talking and got along well. I started getting really attracted to her, like, on the phone. She really listened to me and took in what I was saying. Then she came back to her parents’ house in May and I went up to see her. We hit it off. It was great. She is amazing.
Kate Major said she was dating you.
I felt like, “Okay, I have a cool new person in New York and we can just go out for dinner.” Then it was a conflict of interest with her work. I have always been true to Hailey.
How are the kids handling the split and all of the drama?
Even though they are young, it still hurts them. They can’t figure it out. They’re like, “Why aren’t they together? Why can’t you hug her?” The other day, Alexis said, “I want you and Mommy to be home together.” And it hurts because it’s not going to happen — and how do you explain that? I just let them know we love them no matter what. It’s hard. I feel like I failed them.
When will you introduce Hailey as your girlfriend to the kids?
I think it would have to be after the divorce is finalized. I can’t just show up with Hailey. I think we all need a little routine in our lives. Right now, it’s helter-skelter. Once there is a routine, we’ll start off slowly, like going out to dinner. We are dealing with eight different personalities, and they will each handle it in different ways. They may never be comfortable.

So he’s sticking with Hailey. I bet Kate Major feels like a chump right about now. She’ll probably go to Star to get her job back. Just for the record, I find both Kate and Jon to be pretty horrible people, but I do buy some of Jon’s story. While I think he’s an idiot who has been bangin’ everything with two legs and a pulse, I do think he’s right about Kate wanting out of the marriage just as much as him. I think the more public Jon has been these past few weeks, the more Kate looks like a victim, which she isn’t.

Star Magazine is really good this week, and there’s at least one story that isn’t likely to be fabricated or heavily embellished. The low-budget gossip rag has the inside scoop on their “ex” journalist Kate Major’s relationship with father of eight Jon Gosselin. It reads like girlfriends chatting and I would bet that they got the story straight from Kate. What’s more is that Star editor Candace Trunzor has a very special message to us in this week’s editorial. She says that of course Kate resigned her position over a conflict of interest, but between the lines it’s clear that Kate still has ties to the magazine, and I predict that she’ll go back to her old job soon.

First let’s head to the article, which has some great tidbits about how easily Kate snared Jon, how he callously cheated on his People cover co-star Hailey Glassman, and how reluctant he was to pick one of the two. It sounds like he’s still stringing them both along. This account is consistent with a report in Radar Online, and with a story in In Touch this week. The subheaders below are mine, and you can tell since some are editorial:

On how easy it was to get to Jon: Bodyguard took her cell phone picture
It was love at first sight for Kate when she met Jon outside his $1.1 million home on July 17. Jon’s bodyguard asked her to move her car from the Gosselin property, Kate tells Star. “I introduced myself as a reporter and said “I’d like to meet Jon.” The bodyguard’s response? “I bet he wants to meet you.” At that, the bodyguard snapped a cell phone photo of Kate and texted it to Jon, who wrote back, “Yes! I want to talk to her.”

The attraction was instant. “I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him,” Kate says. Jon also opened up about the reporter, telling Star, “She’s a nice girl. I’m just a regular guy and can hang out with whoever I want!”

It sounds like they slept together the first night by this timeline
Jon, 32, certainly wasted no time, inviting Kate out that very night. He picked her up from her hotel around 7:30 p.m., and over dinner the two made plans to travel to New York City together the next morning, where Jon had a TLC photoshoot to promote Jon & Kate Plus 8 with his estranged wife and their children.

While Jon’s ex was struggling with their kids… he was acting like a bachelor, showing off his new luxury two-bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side to his latest girl. “There were still boxes that needed to be unpacked,” Kate told a friend. “He had been waiting for Hailey to decorate it.”

Listen to the way they word this, it sounds like they definitely hooked up the first night
That night, Jon and his new Kate dined at Accademia di Vino with four others, and although she stated publicly that they were “just friends,” behind the scenes she was already planning their future together. “Kate sounded like she had really fallen for him,” notes the pal. “She even told me that she wanted me to meet him.”

I did some stupid sh*t like this when I was single too, but I like to think that I made better choices in partners than this girl. At least I never dated married guys. When women start “planning a future together” after a couple of days you can bet they’ve already slept with a guy instead of taking their time like you’re supposed to. Jon seems like a pretty lazy man who is trying to recapture the youth he “lost” having so many kids with a controlling wife. He’s not particularly attractive although he does have the dubious appeal of being a minor celebrity. Somehow he’s bagging women left and right and keeping them all hanging as he chums around with his new buddy, Michael Lohan.

Anyway, there are some more tidbits about how the guy hurt both Hailey and the new Kate. He stood Hailey up and left her waiting at a restaurant, something Kate probably relishes. He even arranged for the two women to meet without telling Hailey that he had more than a “professional” relationship with Kate.

On how he had Hailey and Kate 2.0 meet without letting on that he was with Kate
Hailey was oblivious to the budding romance and spent July 19 with her beau, strolling around Rockland Lake in Upstate New York and posing for sweet photos in a nearby park…

Earlier that day, Hailey, 22, came face-to-face with the woman who was scheming to steal her boyfriend. Hailey and Jon met the then Star reporter at a local Starbucks for an interview. As Hailey gushed about her relationship with Jon, Kate admitted to feeling pangs of guilt. “I felt conflicted about liking Jon when I realized how nice she was – I felt so bad for her,” Kate revealed to Star. “But I didn’t plan anything.”

However, Kate’s guilty conscience quickly evaporated when she and Jon reurned together to NYC – leaving Hailey behind. Hailey boasted to the friend, “I could fall in love with him.”

The pair were already making secret plans to sneak off that night [that Kate denied a relationship] to New York’s millionaires’ playground, the Hamptons, according to Kate’s longtime friend, Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael, Hailey was so in the dark when it came to Jon’s last-minute plans that she made reservations for them to have a date at Rocco’s on July 21. She had even ordered their food – the restaurant’s signature eggplant and mozzarells salad for two and fresh cannolis for dessert – ahead of time. But Jon never showed.

On stringing both of them along
When news of Jon and Kate’s second date came out, no one was more shocked and hurt than Hailey, who didn’t know if she should believe her boyfriend when he said he had gone to the Hamptons strictly for business. Through tears, she said “That’s news to me. I still love Jon, and he loves me.”

But Kate felt exactly the same way – and resigned from her job at Star on July 23, citing a conflict of interest since she had become involved with Jon. “I have to follow my heart,” she said. I have made this decision and I’m sticking by it.”

Kate even insisted that Jon was on his way to Massachusetts – where Hailey was hiding out – to break things off with her face-to-face. But Jon’s tune had changed by the following day, when he denied any romantic involvement with the former reporter. “Jon can’t have it both ways,” Kate told Star. “He didn’t say that, and it’ll be clear when I’m seen with him again. I think we have a future together. He definitely won’t get back with Hailey; I’m not worried about that…”

Ever since Kate resigned from her job and proclaimed her feelings for the reality dad, Jon’s been giving her mixed messages. While he’s been running between business meetings spearheaded by Michael in the Hamptons, Jon’s also been juggling Kate and Hailey. While Jon promised Kate he was going to dump Hailey, when Star talked to Kate on July 24, she didn’t know if he had actually done so. “I’ll know when I’m sitting next to him and can see his face,” she said.

It’s not surprising that this guy couldn’t break up with Hailey. He’s spineless and a player. A similar scenario probably played out with his wife, Kate, and I bet Kate was the one who did the dumping once she learned about his last girlfriend, teacher Deanna Hummel.

Earlier in this very long article I mentioned the editorial by Star’s editor, Candace Trunzo, at the beginning of this issue. she wrote:

I was shocked when I learned that Star’s own reporter Kate Major cross the line. She was supposed to bring in the news, not be the news! It was a routine assignment when we sent her to Pennsylvania to cover Jon Gosselin. Sure she’s pretty, blonde and engaging, but who knew that this Kate and the dad of eight would plunge in to a sensational instant romance. Clearly, it was impossible for her to stay on at Star as a reporter.

So now Star will cover Kate as we cover anyone in the celebrity world. And let me add that Star will continue to bring you the juiciest stories about your favorite celebs, thanks to the dedicated and professional members of my team.

I love how she added professional there at the end, as if to emphasize that this shocked her and is out of the ordinary for her ethically superior reporters. Although the head honchos at Star were probably upset at first that Kate was making headlines, I would guess that they’re counting their blessings now. They have access to so much insider information on sleazy Jon Gosselin.

Hearing that Jon is still hanging on to Hailey while he’s dating Kate makes me think that he’s hoping for a threesome. Please someone help me get that image out of my head. The women are cute enough, but thinking of Jon doing sexy times is making it easier for me to stick to my diet.

While Jon Gosselin is “trying to concentrate on… family first” by hanging out with Michael Lohan in the Hamptons a couple hundred miles away, he’s not lonely. A source so close to Jon that Radar felt compelled to use the word “very” four times has confirmed that he’s still dating party girl Hailey Glassman along with possible ex-hooker and ex-tabloid reporter, Kate Major.

A source very, very, very, very close to Jon revealed exclusively to RadarOnline.com that Jon is secretly still dating both Hailey Glassman AND Kate Major.

Hailey, 22, and Kate, 26, both thought they were in an exclusive relationship with the Reality Show Romeo.

Hailey went to France with Jon and then suddenly last week Jon took off to The Hamptons with Major, who soon announced they were romantically involved. They stayed at Michael Lohan’s house and she even quit her job as a reporter at Star magazine to pursue the relationship.

But this weekend, with Major nowhere in sight, Jon broke his public silence and said he and Kate are “just friends.”

That, however, is just a smokescreen. “He is a man going through a divorce and he’s trying to keep his personal life private,” the source told RadarOnline.com.

Asked if he was dating Hailey, Kate, both or neither, the source said: “He is choosing not to end anything with either woman. He’s dating and he doesn’t want to tie himself down.”

The source then admitted that Jon is deliberately sending out mixed signal publicly because he’s afraid that Original Kate (a.k.a. Mrs. Gosselin) is going to pursue a custody battle.

Defending Jon, one person who is friendly with him, said to RadarOnline.com: “Look , is there something wrong with a man going through a divorce dating any woman he wants?”

We could answer that with some comment about taking care of the eight kids he left behind, but we won’t. We have a feeling Kate’s lawyers are going to provide their own answer.

It sounds like the source is either Jon himself or Michael Lohan, who talked to Radar last week. Hailey seems like the type of girl who will grudgingly put up with some competition as long as she continues to get her picture taken for the tabloids. It’s not like she isn’t getting some on the side, either.

At least Michael Lohan has learned not to go on the record with his quotes about his good buddy, and it seems like he’s steering him in the right direction by not being photographed out with Kate during their little sleepover at his place. Someone needs to tell Jon what to do, because as Kaiser mentioned he seems completely incapable of doing anything other than partying and hanging out when there’s no one there to guide him. It’s kind of fitting that he hooked up with Michael Lohan. The Scientologists should go after him next – he’s an easy mark.

While it’s being reported that Jon Gosselin is still probably seeing Kate Major, the now ex-employee of Star Magazine, Jon is still totally in denial. While attending the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field on Saturday, Jon told People Magazine that “At this point … I’m single – per se.” Per se. Nice. Like he’s not with her right now, per se, so they’re technically not dating. Jon also told People, “I’m just a regular guy who just wants to have friendship and good times. And I like meeting people.” People like Michael Lohan. Gah! Get the garlic and the wooden stake. Jon also gave some respect to Hailey Glassman and her family:

Of 22-year-old Glassman, Gosselin says, “She’s always a good friend of mine. Her family is so good. They took me in and I lived there for a while. I love them to death.”

But for now, they’re on a bit of a break. “She doesn’t like this [craziness]. She loves me for who I am and not for what I do,” he says. “We are going to chill out for a while and see where it takes us. I’m not looking for anyone.”

As for Major, the former Star magazine reporter he’s been spotted with, Gosselin says, “We are just friends.”

Despite all the questions about his life as a new bachelor, Gosselin still has the same priorities. “I’m just trying to concentrate on my family first, second my career. That’s what I have to do,” says Gosselin, who will be heading home to see his family in the days ahead. “I’m really looking forward to it – to turning my phone off, playing with my kids in the pool and being the dad.”

He’ll also be shooting scenes for Jon & Kate Plus Eight, which returns to TLC on Aug. 3. “Kate and I are just showing how we are going to live,” he says of the show, which will follow him and Kate Gosselin as they raise their children in the wake of their decision to divorce. “If she’s got to work, I go home. If I’ve got to work, she stays home. And that’s the way it’s always been.”

Don’t expect to see the Gosselin children meeting dad’s new girlfriend anytime soon. “I don’t want to introduce anyone to my kids,” he says. “We just have to play it by ear. I don’t know what it’s like to be divorced.”

It really seems like Jon really wants to back away from this Kate Major woman. Truth be told, she seems a bit psycho. The whole thing with Hailey Glassman was that her crazy was mostly because she was young and dumb. I think Kate Major’s got real issues, though. Rush & Malloy have some sources who claim that when Kate first came to New York from Los Angeles, she admitted she was a call back in LA, and was looking to make some “money on the side” there in New York. Of course, Kate Major denies the whole thing:

Reality show star Jon Gosselin’s latest love interest is a hardworking reporter, but was she ever a working girl? Fetching tabloid scribe Kate Major is vigorously denying claims that she once admitted to being a call girl.

Back in January, Major, who until this week worked at Star magazine, went out for drinks at the Thompson Hotel with Steppin’ Out magazine columnist Chaunce Hayden.

According to Hayden, Major, 26, at one point asked if he had “contacts with money who … how can I say this? … want the company of an attractive blond for the evening and have the cash to afford it?”

“I’ve been working as an escort in L.A. and now that I’m here in New York, I thought I could get some clients on the side,” Hayden recalls Major saying. He also remembers her saying that she charged $1,500 an hour – and her asking if he could introduce her to former madam Kristin Davis.

Davis, whose client list allegedly included former Gov. Eliot Spitzer, Bernie Madoff and Alex Rodriguez, says she and Major exchanged several e-mails on Jan. 28, which we’ve seen. Since Davis was too busy to meet, Davis says, she agreed to talk with Major on the phone.

“She wanted to pick my brain about the New York market,” Davis says. “She said she had a few of her own clients in New York. She asked if I had clients I could refer. I said I’m not in the business anymore.”

Major calls the account “pathetic, sick and all lies. By no means would I ever have “escort” in my vocabulary.”

“The only Kristin Davis I know is the actress from ‘Sex and the City,’” Major insists. Despite the e-mails apparently sent from her BlackBerry, she maintained, “I don’t know who Kristin Davis the madam is.”

Could Major have been putting Hayden on? Could the intrepid reporter have been trying to unmask Davis’ celebrity clients by pretending she was an escort? Major would only say, “I have never been an escort!” So whatever affection she’s giving Gosselin must be free.

Meh. I could see either side of that one. It’s perfectly possible that a mildly attractive blonde in LA would get work as an escort. But I seriously doubt she was some $1500 a night hooker. Let’s get real. Of course, that’s what I thought about Ashley DuPre too, and she was a four-diamond hooker or whatever. And I definitely doubt Kate Major is charging Jon anything… maybe she’s taking her fee in John Hardy shirts?

Note by Celebitchy: Jon has issued a statement to E! Online in which he admits that he “cares for” Kate Major. It sounds like he’s trying to make sure she’s going to stick around despite his statement that they’re “just friends.”

When we heard that Kate Major resigned her job at Star Magazine in the wake of the scandal over “dating” Jon Gosselin, it sounded like she overstated their relationship to get headlines. Jon never issued an official statement about the new relationship, which came to light while his “Divorce to Dating in 20 Days!” issue of People Magazine, featuring his very recent ex Hailey Glassman, was still on the stands. A “source” told RadarOnline that there was nothing going on with Major, that “Jon is distraught over Major’s claims that they were romantically involved,” and that he said things like “I can’t believe she did this to me,” and “She’s totally (bleeping) me over.”

It looks like Kate 2.0 was just confirming the truth in a statement that caught Gosselin off guard. On Thursday night Michael Lohan admitted that Major and Gosselin had stayed over his place, explaining that he was a friend of Major’s and she asked him for a place to stay. Lohan wouldn’t comment on whether Kate and Jon slept in the same room, though. According to Radar Online, Kate and Jon were still staying at Lohan’s place as of Friday, which means they spent at least two nights together.

While everyone’s wondering just where in the world Jon Gosselin and his new girlfriend Kate Major are, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that the pair are still hiding out at the Southampton, New York, home of Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s dad.

“Jon is still at Michael Lohan’s house with Kate Major,” a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “They are still shacked up together because they don’t want to be hounded by the media.”

On Wednesday night, Gosselin was snapped leaving the Red Bar in Southampton, where he had dinner with Major, Lohan and Real Housewife Jill Zarin. That same night, Major, at the time a reporter for Star Magazine assigned to cover Jon, admitted that she was dating the reality star.

Interesting –because Jon, 32, then told a close pal that he never slept with Major, 26, and never was romantically involved with her.

But apparently — the two are an item and in the wake of the scandal, Major resigned from Star Magazine on Thursday.

Radar also dug up some dirt on Major, and although it’s potentially embarrassing it’s pretty minor compared to all the incriminating photos, eyewitness accounts, and videos we saw of his last girlfriend. In 2006, a reportedly drunk Major fell face first down a flight of stairs at a restaurant in Chicago. She sued the restaurant and settled out of court. It was also reported that she spend time in rehab, although her buddy Michael Lohan claims it was “crisis counseling.”

It looks like Jon’s co-star on the cover of last week’s People, Hailey Glassman, had to find out through the press that her ticket to fame had moved on. She told People Magazine that Jon’s new girlfriend was “news to me” while Radar reported that Hailey is “heartbroken.” Hailey and Jon are said to have had a falling out over the flood of photos, videos, and stories that came out to expose her recent, checkered past. Ironically, Jon was said to be concerned that “Kate would use it against him in the divorce” and “not let the kids be around Hailey.” Now that Gosselin has yet another girlfriend, his third this year, his estranged wife Kate has even more ammo to keep his divorce settlement relatively lean.

Kate Gosselin has removed her wedding ring, and was seen out without it in an outing on Friday. She also took her two oldest daughters, eight year-old twins Cara and Mady, to a Jonas Brothers concert Thursday night. She’s looking like the more responsible party by far and this divorce is sure to get interesting. With the way daddy is flitting around like a fool, you wonder what he’ll do next. E! Online reports that Gosselin is trying to get his own reality show deal. They wonder if it will be “Rock of Love” style, with Gosselin choosing a mate among trashy fame-seekers.

Last Saturday, we saw photos of Jon Gosselin posing with a blonde woman outside what was reported to have been a dinner date in New York. She was identified as Star Magazine reporter Kate Major. Many of you pointed out that there were four other people out at dinner and that it was possibly a “business-type” meeting. That could have been the case, but this new Kate was said to have been sitting next to Jon all night and flirting with him.

Star Magazine has confirmation straight from their blabby journalist that she’s dating Jon Gosselin. What’s more is that she went on another date with him, in the Hamptons, with none other than Michael Lohan, Real Housewives of NY star Jill Zarin, and the mayor of Southhampton.

It’s a stunning turn of events that even Star couldn’t see coming, father-of-eight Jon Gosselin and one of our reporters have fallen for each other.

Kate Major confirmed tonight that she and the Jon & Kate Plus 8 dad are an item, five days after they were first photographed together.

“I didn’t mean it to happen, it just did,” Kate, 26, says. “I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him.”

The surprise news means that Jon, 32, and his girlfriend Hailey Glassman, daughter of his wife’s plastic surgeon, are over.

Tonight Jon and his new Kate went for dinner in East Hampton with Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael — a long-time friend of Kate’s.

I knew it! Gosselin isn’t the type to just settle down with the second barely-dropped-out-of-college girl he hooks up with. He posed for some PDA photos with Hailey Glassman on Sunday after his date with another woman, and then went out to dinner with that other one again on Tuesday. While most freshly separated fathers of eight could be able to get away with dating multiple women (if they could find enough women willing to have them), Gosselin is too obvious and slow a target and he’s going to get called out on his behavior. Is poor passive aggressive Jon just the victim of an opportunistic Star reporter hoping to social climb among the C-list? I doubt it. Even if she’s throwing herself at him he doesn’t need to go out with her. Even if he’s just hanging out with her for the amazing chance to meet Lindsay Lohan’s ex-con born-again dad, he has only himself to blame. He can’t expect to get on the cover of People Magazine with one girlfriend and then be seen out twice in a few days with another woman. Oh well, it’s not like Hailey hasn’t cheated on her girlfriends and boyfriends in the past. Maybe she’ll learn to accept the situation for what it is. There will always be other women who are in it for the notoriety like she is, and this isn’t the first time Jon will be stupid enough to fall for it.
