Rumors are swirling once again that JLo is in labor. So many questions! Will she push, or have her doctors recommended a C-section? Will she take drugs, or will she tough it out? Will she have white candles, white curtains, and white flowers all over the room? Will she listen to her own crappy music? Is she really having twins, or is she just really big with one baby?

Page Six is reporting that her highness has checked in to her luxury maternity room at Long Island’s North Shore University Hospital to give birth to her alleged twins, fathered by cadaverous singer Marc Anthony.

The private room being held for Jennifer Lopez at North Shore University Hospital is finally occupied. Monday, we reported the room, which is furnished with a leather couch, had “been sitting empty for two weeks” in preparation for the pop diva’s twins. But a recent patient at the hospital told Page Six that during her visit, staffers were aflutter, exclaiming, “J.Lo is here!” A rep for the expectant songstress did not return calls for a comment.

I’m disappointed. I have to admit, I loved seeing JLo waddling around, looking miserable. I was hoping she would stay pregnant forever, and just keep getting larger and larger, like Violet Beauregard in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” It couldn’t happen to a better person.

Hopefully this isn’t another false alarm, though. And whether it’s one or two babies, we will have the privilege of seeing them on the cover of People Magazine - the publication is reported to have paid a whopping $6 million for photos.

Note by Celebitchy: MSNBC’s The Scoop reported that OK! Magazine also bought the rights to run JLo’s baby photos, but only in their International versions and not their US publication. They quote an insider as saying “Look at her track record with her movies, and look at her album sales. The U.S. market hasn’t been fascinated with her in some time.”

Jennifer Lopez is as big as a house right now. I guess she kind of is a house for babies right now. Anyway, the very-soon-to-be-mommy is doing what many of us do when we’re feeling less than fab about our figure – we shop. And not for clothes!

J.Lo has apparently splashed out on a $120,000 nursery for the twins.

Sources tell PageSix.com that the nursery awaiting the forthcoming fraternal twins is an ocean-themed room stocked in English furniture and French-made cribs decked out in hand-embroidered bedding.

The tiny pair will also gaze upon 18-karat gilded trim and chandeliers in Jennifer and Marc Anthony’s Long Island home, as well as in the nurseries in their Bel Air and Fisher Island homes. The total cost of digs for two adorable babes? Over $120,000.

For other parents an ‘ocean theme’ means that you put up a couple of Finding Nemo posters.

I say, why not splurge on a gorgeous nursery for your babies if you cannot afford it. Jennifer has long wanted babies, and now they’re finally coming, and she’s understandably excited. Sure, non-celeb parents would probably use that money to, er, buy a mini van, or make house payments, or educate their children, but a glam nursery is what a successful music career can buy you, as well as a Mercedes mini van, mansion, and private school education.

You know, if I had unlimited funds for a nursery, I think the first thing I’d put in it (besides a nanny) would be some cradles that rock electronically. And the Wiggles, as in, the band themselves. Maybe they could be my nannies? And something that changes the kids diapers for me. Oh, I guess that would be a nanny. Hmmn, I’m getting a little Jennifer Lopez envy here! I’d probably get the kid some cool toys that I could play with too, like really elaborate Lego, and a slide.

Anyway, now that we know J.Lo will be having twins, we are basically just waiting for her to pop them out. And some people suggest Valentine’s Day would be a nice day to have a baby.

The very pregnant actress has been out on the town of late showing off a very sizable baby bump. She and hubby and dad to be Marc Anthony just this week attended a reception to benefit UNICEF hosted by Gucci during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2008 at The Salon at Bryant Park on February 6th in New York City.

So how did she know she wasn’t headed to the hospital that night? She is scheduled to give birth on Valentine’s Day! J Lo has reportedly scheduled a C-section for next Thursday at New York North Shore University Medical Center.

Here’s another reason for the J.Lo envy – scheduled delivery. I begged, almost on my knees but it was too hard to get down on the floor, for a c-section when I was pregnant with my last child. I simply could not stand to be pregnant a second longer, but I got told no way. How do people get these scheduled sections when they’re not pregnant with twins like J.Lo? Do you bribe the hospital staff? I was never offered the opportunity to have an elective cesarean, but people keep talking about them. What secret do they know that I don’t? Maybe she has to have the babies on a certain day because of the kidnap protection plan in place.

Note by Celebitchy: This week’s Enquirer has details of the baby items Lopez registered for at elite boutique Petit Tresor, and they include a bassinet at $800, an Enchanted Forest highchair to the tune of $485, Simplicity crib linen at $535, a Monogram crib bedding set at $950, and a black Baby Jogger stroller at $560.

The Enquirer also states that Lopez will hire a nanny that costs $100,000 a year and “several” baby nurses at $150 an hour, who will work in 12 hour shifts.

Thank God Jennifer Lopez is not such a self-absorbed diva that she thinks the world actually revolves around her. Wait, what? TMZ is reporting that the hospital where J-Lo is expected to give birth has been running anti-kidnapping drills in anticipation of her twins’ arrival. Though they don’t come out and actually say it, I’m pretty sure they’re doing it on J-Lo’s orders.

TMZ has learned that the Long Island hospital where J.Lo will probably give birth to her twins is practicing “pink drills” — code for thwarting a possible kidnapping.

Sources at North Shore Medical Center tell TMZ the hospital conducted a “Code Pink” drill last Friday — “Code Pink” is code for locking down the hospital to prevent a kidnapping attempt.

A rep for North Shore confirmed that the pink drill did indeed go down, but said that the timing is just a coincidence, but that’s not what our sources are saying.

Code Pink doesn’t sound nearly as effective as Code Black or even Code Blue. They need to pick scarier sounding colors to thwart kidnappers, that’s step number one. Something tells me that J-Lo and Skeltor will probably have their own private security at the hospital anyway… and the odds are pretty good they’re sticking the kids with little GPS chips as soon as they cut the cord.

I have no idea if this is normal for hospitals when famous people have babies. Maybe they all do it. One would hope that they all run drills consistently for the sake of all their patients, since no one baby is more valuable than the other. Though to be fair, J-Lo is having two babies, so I guess by that logic they’re twice as valuable. Seriously though, are her kids at any greater risk of being kidnapped than other celeb babies? You know at least one of them is going to be born all inside-out looking like their father. That’s a good crime deterrent right there.

It’s been thought for a while that Jennifer Lopez, 38, might be pregnant with twins, and yesterday her father confirmed that J-Lo is doubly fertile. I thought she was pregnant with twins because she might have used IVF, which increases the likelihood of multiple births. But apparently twins run in the Lopez family.

The rumors are true, confirmed by no less a source than her father: Jennifer Lopez is expecting twins. And it isn’t even a Lopez family first.

“Yes, twins,” her dad David Lopez said in an interview on the Spanish-language show Escándalo TV, PEOPLE en Español reports. “The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it’s a hereditary thing.”

For David Lopez, the news means double the excitement.

“I’m very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years,” he said.

David Lopez says that he’s bought special azabache bracelets for the babies, which are a Puerto Rican tradition. The bracelets, make out of black stone, are supposed to protect the babies from the evil eye. Though considering J-Lo’s legendary diva behavior, I’m not sure the evil eye is the kids’ biggest concern.

Lopez has been spotted buying baby supplies for both a boy and a girl, which greatly increases our chances that we may be subjected to a Marc Anthony look alike. I swear to God, if there is a God, he will give them at least 90% of J-Lo’s genes. At least of the face genes. If one or both of those kids grow up to look like Marc Anthony, we’ll pretty much be able to end the debate about the existence of God. In less frightening news, Star reports that the couple plan on naming the babies Max and Emme. Well it’s no Pilot Inspektor (a la Jason Lee) but I suppose they’ll do.

Jennifer Lopez is simply enormous. I wonder how along she is exactly. Reports are putting her at about 8 months. Late enough in her pregnancy to be having a baby shower.

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her pregnancy with a baby shower Saturday on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City.

The singer and her husband Marc Anthony both attended the afternoon shower, which was hosted by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez’s producer on the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan.

Lopez, 38, “looked very pretty – and very pregnant,” according to an eyewitness, who saw the couple arrive flanked by bodyguards.

Among the guests were actress Leah Remini and designer Roberto Cavalli, who gifted Lopez with a pink leopard crib, according to a source. As for the décor, everything at the shower was blue and pink – and the room was covered with Swarovski crystal, said the source.

I hope that she is having twins, since they say in your second pregnancy you get even bigger than the first. If J.Lo wants a sibling for her first baby (babies?) she’s going to need to carry her bump around on a wheelbarrow.

Jennifer recently said she didn’t officially announce her pregnancy because she thought everyone kind of knew. Maybe this is why there’s been no official announcement of twins. Alternatively, she might not know what she is having herself (boy or girl, I’m hoping she knows if it’s twins!) and is hedging her bets with pink and blue decorations.

And what do you buy for a baby born into privilege? The New York Daily News suggests her gift registry at Petit Tresor features a Balmoral black carriage for $3,495, a $560 jogging stroller and two $349 cashmere outfits - one pink and one blue.

Actually, a $560 jogging stroller is a bargain. Not too sure about the cashmere.

Jennifer Lopez has been seen out shopping for baby clothes, and she’s not yet ready to give away any secrets about the gender of her baby or babies.

Which raises the question: Could the singer and husband Marc Anthony be having … a boy and a girl?

Lopez waited a while before even confirming the pregnancy – and the pop star has been mum about whether she’s expecting twins, though multiple sources have told People she’s expecting two bundles of joy. The 38-year-old singer recently denied reports that she’d had a pregnancy health scare that forced her to cut back on touring.

I think Jennifer Lopez is having a great time screwing with our heads about this pregnancy. Delaying her pregnancy announcement until it was bulgingly obvious that she was either carrying a baby or a tumor, and now buying both pink and blue outfits. Is it a boy? A girl? One of each?

She might be having a layette for both a boy and a girl, then after she’ll only keep the gender appropriate set. Or keep it and we can all speculate about the next baby.

Jennifer Lopez is having a baby, as far as we know only one, and we aren’t aware of the gender. However, if you’re feeling lucky you can gamble on the baby’s name, gender and birth date.

When it comes to the sex of the baby, Bodog suggests it’s slightly more likely to be a girl than a boy for J.Lo and Marc. Meanwhile, according to the odds posted on their site, the baby is most likely to be born in April (2:1 odds), with May (2.5:1) a close second.

A baby born before March or after July would provide the biggest payday to the respective gambler, offering 5:1 odds for either pick.

When it comes to naming the little tyke, Bodog offers odds on a slew of names. However, they have dubbed Marco (4:1 odds) and Maria (5:1 odds) as the favorites.

Also on the list of possible wagers are Antonio (5.5:1), Rosario (7:1), Felipe (8:1), Selena (9:1) and Enrique (10:1).

Or perhaps, they’ll keep it in the family naming the child after J.Lo’s mom Guadalupe (9:1) or Marc’s mom, Guillermina (10:1).

For those who prefer the long shots, the name Ben is listed at 15:1 odds and Sean is listed at 20:1 odds.

J.Lo is also rumored to have gone to hospital after exerting herself too much on her tour, fearing a miscarriage after seeing blood in her urine.

A source close to the star says: “She’s petrified that something could go wrong (with her pregnancy). (The hospital visit) really shook her up. If she lost the babies, her life would be shattered.”

And the singer’s doctor isn’t the only concerned party - her mother, Guadalupe, has been trying for months to get her daughter to slow down.

The insider adds: “Her mum’s constantly been on the phone, telling her to calm down. Guadalupe’s very no-nonsense and she’s told Jen that she needs to take some time out of the limelight to enjoy her pregnancy and her babies when they arrive.”

Oh, the source uses the plural ‘babies’, not ‘baby’, so it must be twins! These unnamed sources are always right.

I find this story hard to believe – if Jennifer Lopez was rushed to hospital, given how closely she’s been followed by paparazzi on bump watch, I’m pretty sure we’d have hospital pictures too. I hope she is safe and well with her pregnancy, But her mother is right that she should take a break. When the quintuplets - tee hee - are born she’s going to regret not sleeping through her pregnancy.

Christina Aguilera confirmed her pregnancy after it was painfully obvious, and now Jennifer Lopez has done the same. In Miami on the last night of her tour Wednesday night she told the crowd “we’re expecting.” She didn’t say when or how many, but she did explain why it took her so long to come out with the news. Lopez says she didn’t want fans worry about her while she was on tour:

”Marc and I are expecting,” she said as the crowd of 10,000 erupted.

Anthony then bent over and kissed his wife’s belly.

”I didn’t know she was going to talk,” Anthony said.

The 39-year-old star went on to say she had waited until the end of the couple’s concert tour in order to make the announcement because she didn’t want their fans to worry about her.

Throughout Wednesday night’s show, JLo joked with the crowd.

”You don’t mind if I catch my breath for a minute,” she said at one point, holding her belly.

Of course Lopez’s clothing designer, Roberto Cavalli, spilled the beans last week, saying that designing for Lopez was different from his everyday work because “she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby.”

Like an excellent hairdresser, you’re not going to dump a clothing designer you depend on for talking a little smack and she surely forgave him.

Lopez and Anthony let the crowd know that they might stay out of the spotlight for once as Lopez completes her pregnancy. Lopez added “We’re going away for a while.” These two aren’t as overexposed as some, but that sounds like a very good idea. Stay tuned for the tabloids to run “J.Lo’s twins in danger!” headlines next week. They’ve already started speculating in earnest.

Jennifer Lopez is so adverse to spending time in ex Ben Affleck’s hometown of Boston that she refuses to perform there. The Northeastern city has too many bad memories for her after her broken engagement to Ben and she’s not about to go back voluntarily:

Jennifer Lopez is touring cities from Los Angeles to Miami to promote her latest CD, Brave. But there’s one city where she won’t be performing - Boston! “Jennifer has very bad memories of the city,” a friend tells Star. It’s where [ex-boyfriend] Ben Affleck proposed to her and where Ben is from.” Since their 2004 split, J.Lo and Ben “have not been friends,” adds the pal. “She’s mad that he continues to trash her and their relationship in the media.”

Affleck told Details Magazine recently that dating J.Lo “was probably bad for my career,” and that the tabloids made up a lot of crap about them. It’s possible this story is made up too, and that Lopez isn’t playing Boston because she couldn’t fit it into her schedule or something and that it has nothing to do with Ben.

Lopez is definitely pregnant despite not making a public statement or confirming the rumors. Her stomach is clearly visible, even in the loose fug outfits she’s been wearing on tour. At a joint gig on Friday in LA, Lopez’s husband Marc Anthony sang the Journey hit “Faithfully,” dedicating it to her and saying that “[the] song has a whole new significance.” It includes the lyrics “They say that the road ain’t no place to start a family.” Isn’t that song about an impoverished musician being separated from his wife? It doesn’t really seem to apply to a multi-millionaire couple that gives detailed requests of how the room should be stocked before they stay in five star hotels.

Jennifer Lopez sure is a bundle of contradictions. Though she’s talked quite a bit about her desire to have children, she has yet to confirm her pregnancy, which doesn’t seem to be a matter of “if” so much as “when” and “how many” at this point. A lot of people have pointed out that even if someone is famous, they’re still under no obligation to inform the rest of us as to the status of their bellies. Alright, I’ll buy that (you’re forgiven, Christina Aguilera) but J Lo has actually said that if she was pregnant, she’d be hollering about it so loudly you’d hear her from the other side of the county. Or some such thing. My point being, she hasn’t given us any reason to believe she’d be coy about it, and yet here she is, keeping her lips sealed.

So would you like further proof that she’s got a bun (or two, depending on reports) in the oven? She and husband Marc “Skeletor” Anthony spent two hours at famed Los Angeles baby boutique Petit Tresor shopping for the future baby Lopez. They even had the store closed down so they could do it in privacy. Ahh, to be rich and powerful. And married to a really ugly guy.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony still aren’t speaking about their pregnancy, but their shopping is doing all the talking for them! The parents-to-be visited Petit Tresor, the baby boutique to the stars, Wednesday afternoon to iron out nursery design details, a source tells OK!. And the two spared no expense, dropping more than $50,000 on supplies!

“Petit Tresor will be designing their baby nursery and the theme is nursery rhymes,” the source says. After being ushered into the store, which was closed off to the public, through a back entrance, Marc and J.Lo spent two hours picking out the perfect baby necessities and accessories, most of which will be custom-made, including the cribs, changing tables and armoires. “There will also be custom-painted murals on the walls,” the source adds. As OK! confirmed earlier this month, the couple is doubling their pleasure with twins. But because they have yet to find out the sexes, “they’ve chosen both ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ items, which will be interchangeable and the design for the nursery will be finalized when they do know the genders of both.” Also on the registry are strollers, Moses baskets, a complete layette, blankets and a handful of toys.

Can you imagine having $50,000 to spend on your own, adult room? Most of us would be thrilled with $50,000 to spend decorating our whole house. But a baby? Come on, the kid is going to have no idea. You know the rule, you buy your child an expensive toy, and they have more fun playing in the box it came in. I bet you anything, Baby Lopez (I’m calling him/her that because the idea of a Baby Anthony is utterly terrifying to my soul) will spend more of its time making forts under the golden crib than giving a care that he/she has a golden crib in the first place. Regardless, I’d love to say “Congrats” to the happy couple, but until I hear an announcement, I’m going to technically assume that J-Lo has just gotten fat in one very specific area. So until you tell me otherwise Jennifer, I’m going to suggest that you might want to do some sit-ups.
