Victoria Beckman gets her 16th Vogue cover, brings back the bob

Victoria Beckham covers July’s Vogue Korea with this simple shot of her profile against a grey backdrop. This is Victoria’s 16th Vogue cover, which is impressive since last May Victoria wondered if she might not land a cover again. However, it is still not the coveted American Vogue that we all know Victoria wants more than the latest Hermès bag. I am pretty sure Amy Schumer landing American Vogue’s July cover is only slightly less painful for Vicky than Kendall Jenner landing the September issue. As for the cover Victoria did score, I love the clean styling, monochromatic background and nude lip bringing all the focus to her eye. Victoria’s latest Vogue coincides with the opening of her flagship store in Hong Kong.

Reliving the past? You might recognize Victoria Beckham’s latest hairstyle on the July 2016 cover of Vogue Korea.

“Excited to share my latest Vogue cover with you all! Thank u @voguekorea! X vb,” Beckham wrote of her 16th Vogue cover via Instagram on Wednesday, June 15.

The Spice Girls alum, 42, rocked a faux bob for the fashion mag thanks to a jacket-tuck. The profile image of her tresses, which are shorter in the back and a bit longer in the front, mimics the iconic angular cut that was her signature style from 2006 to 2008.

Inside the issue, the Victoria Beckham designer proves the cover is all an illusion. Her brunette mane flows freely around her shoulders and down below her chest in tousled waves, which were styled by her good friend Ken Paves for the shoot, taken at the Four Seasons in Seoul in March.

So the good news, all I have to do to look like Vicks circa 2007 is shove my hair into a jacket. Her outfits for the shoot are from her pre-autumn winter 16 range. This picture looks like a cross between Ali McGraw and Marlo Thomas:

This is my favorite:

I love how breezily she carries this look: the thrown on suit, flyaway hair and bad ass expression – this is how I pretend I look when I close my eyes. I am not feeling the “dewy” make-up in any of these. I know it’s en vogue (sorry) but I always want to slip the wearer some blotting paper.

Regarding her hair here, I know she has cut it into a lob since but my hair is just about her length in these pics and I am wondering if I need to freshen my look? Plus, my grey has come in in a proper streak around my face and a sleeker cut would show it off. As would her tux jacket, that would make my hair look amazing.

More Posh news! As you know (let’s pretend you all do) The Spice Girls are going back out on tour in all their Spiciness. Only, they are going forth minus Posh (sad face) and Melanie Chisholm (surprised face). What do you do when your Spice Rack is missing two essentials? Replace them! Life & Style reports that the band is holding auditions for a new Posh and Sporty. OMG! I just need to grab my stilettos and Gucci LBD and book it to the audition. I can’t sing but I hear that’s not so important when it comes to filling in for Posh.

Not sure if this one made it into the latest Vogue:

I really like Victoria. She seems like she’d be a hoot to hang out with (from interviews). But I’ve never understood her eyebrow situation.

Are they too long? Is she always worried? Did she plastic surgery her way to oddness? Maybe just age? My eyebrow game ain’t exactly on point, but she has millions and professional stylists. Am I alone here?

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Worried. That is it. She looks like someone just slapped her cheek and she is about to cry.

I love Vicky. I can’t believe Kendull got a cover before her.

And the bob is the pretties haircut out there, it’s just a bitch to style.

    • Kimbers says:

Her cover will be far better than any lazy american cover we’ve seen all year!!

    • RocketMerry says:

      Word.
Although, if I were Vicky, with the horrid level of trashiness and tastelessness American Vogue has reached, I would consider it an honour to NOT be selected for the cover!

Victoria just looks so pretty, stylish and put together all the time… total envy over here!

  3. stinky says:

    That cover is GORGEOUS!

  4. jammypants says:

Really pretty. I like her current style a lot. Very casual but still sleek.

  5. M.A.F. says:

I too hate that sweaty, oily look some are wearing. I have oily skin and I have those blotting strips in my work bag and my purse. Never leave home without them.

It’s a look that’s always been really popular in Korea. Could be why she’s styled that way, since it’s Vogue Korea. The “mul-gwang”. Dewy. I actually prefer it to an overly-matte look, because I think matte prematurely ages faces and can make people look harsh. Quite literally, as all the natural oils of the skin are stripped (especially in “baking” and stuff). Dewiness/shininess makes you look glowy and more youthful. I have oily skin too, which is a minor inconvenience now, but I figure I’ll have less wrinkles when I get older? Trade-off.

  6. SusanneToo says:

I like her designs. Not that I could ever afford them, though.

  7. Gatita says:

I know that Lainey and other bloggers like to play up Vicky’s thirst for an American Vogue cover but Anna Wintour has damaged the brand so much with the idiots she’s choosing for cover spots that I have to wonder if Posh cares anymore. Unlike Kanye she’s a real designer.

  8. Lucy says:

Beautiful shoot! I want a jacket like that one.

  9. Pmnichols says:

Love her!! She looks beautiful in all of these pictures. Kick ass cover!

  10. Heather says:

She’s got the bone structure for short hair.

The long hair looks fine, but not as unique as her signature un-even bob. It’s her look for a reason!

  11. MsGoblin says:

Is her hair just tucked inside the jacket? Is that why all the straggler-hairs?

  12. Loula says:

She looks like she’s about to saddle up and ride into battle for Middle Earth alongside Legolas, Arwen and Galadriel. I like it.

  13. atorontogal says:

Her hair is tucked into the jacket but still looks adorable. I am really impressed by her. She has worked hard and earned her designer stripes. She has a beautiful family too. Eyebrows be damned!

  14. Elle says:

This is a gorgeous cover, but I think I would have liked it more with a few lines on her face. A tiny crinkle around her eyes, a little parenthesis near her mouth would have looked boss with her hair in that cover shot. She’s got amazing bone structure and a few lines would only highlight that. Still beautiful photo, lady, and a career worth celebrating.

  15. Shaunna says:

Her nose in the top pic looks so store bought.

  16. Betsy says:

Kendall’s going to be on the cover of my September Vogue? Noooo!! I purposely don’t click on Kardashian threads. C’mon Anna. If you can put Kardashian garbage on the cover – twice – give Vicki a cover!

  17. Denise says:

The title says Victoria Beckman! She looks good.

  18. Raoul Duke says:

OK, wait…. Wintour and the Death Eaters will give Kendull Jenner an American cover but not Posh?!?!? WTF!?!?!?

  19. Anita says:

LIKE what on earth is wrong with her eyebrows?? Do tell, please. They look normal to me…not overplucked. Just natural.

  20. Anare says:

Is she arduously Photoshopped or did she have a little work done. She looks good but zero lines? Really?
