Kate Hudson is a couple of pounds away from her goal weight thanks to WW

Kate Hudson has always been very active and good at balancing her exercise and food intake. She’s body goals for a lot of people and I will admit to using her bikini photos as motivation. She’s spoken in the past about how she balances everything and doesn’t deny herself treats in moderation. So that’s why she’s a good match for Weight Watchers, now WW, for which she became a spokesperson back in December. She announced at the time that she wanted to lose 25 pounds to get back to her pre-baby weight. She had little Rani Rose back in October. It’s been just over six months since she gave birth and she’s achieved her goal. She posted the photo above with this caption:

Okay my friends, wanted to share! I’m a couple lbs from goal weight! I’ve done it without stressing on food or working out like crazy although I have been disciplined. I’ve taken my time, I’ve stayed true to my @ww app which I am so grateful for our relationship and that they included me in their family because it’s an incredible set up. Easy as pie! And I can eat pie… except it’s anywhere from 9-22 points which is not the best move… I personally go for the 5 point wine or vodka martini for a treat 😳 I digress… What I am posting is a huge gratitude post! I feel lucky that my other work life (when my entrepreneur hat 🎩 is on) is surrounded by the most inspiring people. To every single person in the @fabletics community and every person in the @ww community, you keep me focused and encouraged. I thank you! Yes, active lifestyle I find enjoyable and yes, understanding food is a passion of mine but it doesn’t mean that I don’t need the support like everyone else. Sharing the little parts of my wellness journey with you makes me feel oh so good. I can only hope that what I put out there can make you feel good and bring encouragement in return. Love, Kate 🙏 PS I ain’t done yet! 😜 #NoFilter #AndILoveAFilter 😉

Kate’s a good spokesperson, she’s always so enthusiastic and friendly and she’s on the cover of US Magazine this week for some reason. I guess she’s promoting Weight Watchers and also a lot of women like her and want to know about her life. Let’s be real though, Kate would have lost the weight on her own no problem, she’s always done that after she had her babies and she loves exercising and staying fit while eating real food. She just signed on to WW to get paid and I can’t blame her for that. As for the points thing, I have heard so many stories of people saving points to get drunk on the weekends. People seem to do that on Weight Watchers more than on other diets for some reason.

Us has some quotes from Kate about turning 40. Her birthday is today, April 19th! A source tells them “Kate’s in a great place in her life,” is “happy to be joining the [40] club” and “doesn’t worry about wrinkles or gray hair.” I think Jaime King explained it best.

Her baby is so cute!

I honestly didn’t know she had had a little girl. What a cutie. As for the weight loss, not a surprise, she has the athletic clothing company for years so it’s not like she was going to let herself keep the baby weight, which was hardly noticeable, on for even a hot minute. Personally, I find it a lot more inspiring when someone that has struggled gets to their goal weight and maintains it.

Kate did after Ryder’s birth and talked, quite honestly about going to extreme after Bing’s birth. Her body was amazing, but at the expense of working out 4 hours a day everyday.

My god does this woman make beautiful babies. Congrats on hitting the goal weight, too.

WW is for everyone. If you want to lose 100 or 10 lbs or just maintain your current weight. Good for her. She looks wonderful and I just love her attitude. I kind of thought she was dressing in stuff that was intentionally making her look heavier bc she was being criticized for being “too thin” to do WW…there were a few appearances (Ellen show) where I thought that surely she was trying to stave off commentary.

Happy 40th Kate and your daughter is su cute!

I’ve never been fan of hers but I like what she said here, it seems genuine and humble. And her daughter is adorable — that smile, those chubby baby legs!

As for saving points or calories for drinking, I guess I can understand that but I’ve come to realize that I prefer my caloric intake to be food. I gave up drinking a number of years ago and I tend to think it’s helped me keep my weight stable a couple years after age 50, which many people struggle with. I’ve also come to realize that the fatigue and general “blah” feeling after even one drink just isn’t worth it for me anymore. To each his own, though, I do not mean to me preachy.

Yes yes yes, about the fatigue and general ‘blah’ feeling. I posted the same thing on an anne hathaway post when she said she was going to quit drinking for 18 years, but everyone seems to think if you feel bad then you must be drinking too much. I think I was drinking too much, it’s just that, for me, one is the too much. Anyway, I’m dropping more weight than I would like. I have a body like Kate’s, and I’m starting to go too skinny for my taste. I’m trying to figure out how to get some of those calories back. It’s hard.

I tried Weight Watchers twice and hated it. I hate weekly meetings and I hate that they push their stupid chemical-filled food on you as you check in. The last time I went, a very overweight woman sat at the meeting eating a jelly donut. And the group Leader announced that she’d never had a weight problem in her life. I never went back.

I’ve been on Noom for almost eight weeks and have lost 10 lbs. I’m ecstatic. I have 30 to go. No meetings. Lots of support. Instant analysis of what I eat via my phone. Facebook support group is fantastic. I love my online coach. I love being in control of my health and my life again. I’ve probably walked more miles in these last two months than I’ve walked in the past three years combined.

Never heard of Noom but I’ll check it out. I’m older, and losing 20 pounds has been extremely tough…Glad you are in such a good place; good luck in reaching your goal!

    • Tiffany :) says:

I don’t think that’s what WW is anymore. There aren’t meetings, you eat your own food. You just keep track of what you eat, like a food diary with points.

    • minx says:

You can do it online, no meetings required. And you can eat regular food. Are you thinking of Jenny Craig?

      • Other Renee says:

No, it was definitely WW but quite a while ago. Noom is primarily psychology based: bite sized articles appear on my phone daily geared toward different focuses. Understanding our triggers and how to cope with them is a huge part of Noom. Psychology then physiology in that order. They want you to eat real food and there’s no such thing as a “bad” food as long as it’s eaten in moderation. I truly credit this program for saving my life because I was on a very bad road health wise and scared about it. I feel 1000% better already.

OMG what a cute baby!!! Thank you for the happy baby pics!

  8. Nikki says:

The picture of her son holding his sister made me melt into a pile of mush! So cute!!

  9. Rapunzel says:

I’m doing Curves Complete. 19lbs down in 7 weeks since I joined, 31 since Xmas. No processed food. Weekly coaching. It’s been great.

Also, track your steps, folks. 10000 minimum a day helps. It’s scary how sedentary I was, and I never realized. Move move move.

  10. Um says:

Looking through her Instagram, she really has been trying to make herself look heavier. She’s got sports bra pics where she’s pushing out her stomach and clothes arranged to be unflattering on her belly. Guess that’s part of the brand but it’s kind of obvious. At least she’s taking a more healthy approach than with her first. I remember she lost all of the weight in like 8 weeks with two two hour workouts a day. I remember thinking I wasn’t even cleared to exercise at 8 weeks and she had lost it all.

  11. JB says:

I’m stopped reading when she mentioned Fabletics. So sick of celebrity shilling.

  12. Pippin says:

What is that pole behind her for I wonder? 🤔

  13. SJR says:

Of course she is working hard to take off the baby weight, her career is mostly based on her looks. She is OK is rom coms but, she’s not going to be the ingenue forever. She was blessed with great DNA, her brother Oliver also, and the fact that she comes from wealthy celeb family is how she got her start.

She seems nice enough but, let’s face it…she lives a very comfy life.
Yes, I’m jealous. And those fitness clothes she is selling are not very good quality, IMO.
