Celine Dion cut her hair into a cute summer bob

If it’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere, we can count on three things: 1. Celine Dion is going to go to Paris; she’s going to be rocking a new hair style; and she is going to wear an eclectic mix of fashion. A couple of weeks ago, Kaiser wrote the first installment of this year’s Celine Goes to Paris in the Summer, “Where is Pepe?”

Continuing a summer trend from last year, Celine lightened her hair; she also cut it into this really cute shoulder-length bob! I always want to grow my hair out, but every summer I chop it off because the heat and humidity make it unbearable, so am Team Celine here. I love the light blonde color and the cut on her; both say “easy-to-manage, fun, summery ’do.” I think sometimes people end up going too blonde when they lighten their hair, but this shade looks great on Celine. It looks even better in some of the other photos.

In one of the photos of Celine in this outfit, you can’t see the entire shirt, only the “I HEART Paris.” I think the photographer took it that way on purpose. The “Hilton” kind of kills it for me. GFY says that the shirt is Vetements. I think the skirt and shoes are cute, but the blazer-poncho is distracting me because I’m confused by it. At first, looking at one of Getty’s images, I thought that she was wearing a regular blazer and had her left arm in the [too-long] sleeve, but not her right arm (for some reason). Then I realized that the way the blazer was draped over her right arm made that impossible. GFY mentions that it’s a poncho, but I still don’t like it because blazers or ponchos should never look confusing.

One thing that makes this photo fun is that she’s wearing a recreation of the Heart of the Ocean necklace that Rose wore in Titanic, also made by Vetements. (I love that the Yahoo! article frames this as the “I love Paris Hilton” shirt “accessoriz[ing]” the necklace, not the other way around.)

Celine seems to be into feathers at the moment; she wore this long-sleeved feathery white Valentino dress with abstract multicolor accents last week to the Valentino show in Paris. I actually think this is cute; the feathers make it seem light and summery, but I question the long sleeves and turtleneck; isn’t Paris in the middle of a heatwave, too? I also love her gold clutch and silver heels.

There are also photos of Celine performing on July 5 in London in this puffed-sleeve sparkly blue jumpsuit. I doubt that too many people could pull off this color without looking ridiculous; Celine just looks like she’s having a ton of fun. My first thought when I saw it was that she looked like she was wearing an outfit that had been made to match the shade of blue, sparkly Crest toothpaste. Or the Titanic necklace.

People should wear what they love and what makes them comfortable; I love that Celine seems to always enjoy whatever she’s wearing. She’s often photographed smiling and looking relaxed when she’s dressed up, rather than standing stiff as a poker or adjusting her outfits. I always love seeing pictures of Celine in Paris in particular, because she appears to be having a great time and living her best life.

She looks great in that white feather dress. That’s all I got. Something is off with her IMO

    • Flying Fish says:

Yes, she looks great in the white dress, but something is going on!!!

    • SM says:

I know, right. Something is off. I am thinking maybe it’s the orange? She needs to cut on the tan or just start wearing good sunscreen. She’s starting to look like sun dried tomato. I am sorry, I know it’s mean to say that, but all of us in this day and age are able to moderate the tan, especially someone with Celine’s resources. What’s up with orange trend anyway, I hoped the orange clown in the WH would convince people it is not attractive/beautiful (thought to be fair, his colour is the last thing that concerns me)?

I think she looks happier than she has in years and is being doofy and fun and people are thrown off. I am living for this Celine.

  2. Chaine says:

I don’t like the haircut. It looks limp and flat. She should’ve gone with something shorter maybe.

    • Esmom says:

Yeah, I feel like this length isn’t really a bob, it’s sort of a nod to a bob. Although I get leaving it a bit longer because it makes it easier to pull back, I think something closer to chin length and choppy would look amazing on her.

I really like the feather dress on her.

  3. lucy2 says:

Another 3″ shorter would look great on her.
That shirt is a no go. Paris Hilton is not a good person.

  4. Citresse says:

She looks very ill with anorexia. I hope she gets help.

    • Capepopsie says:

      Exactly What I’m thinking too!

    • Jane says:

I agree. I see her legs and I’m shocked. She also looks gaunt in her face.

      • Kim says:

They say that at a certain age you have to choose either your a** to keep your figure or your face (which needs some fat to stay youthful looking.)

That being said, hers look extreme and unhealthy. Her twins are still quite young, I hope she is taking care of herself.

    • Jaded says:

As a Canadian who has followed her since she was in her teens, she is simply naturally thin, always has been. Even at 13 she had a long, thin face and was definitely “gangly” and has never grown out of it, it’s just her body type.

  5. Sherry says:

She is inspiring in every way!

  6. Mab's A'Mabbin says:

You know the nitpick in me wants to notice some negative things. And I still question the relationship she literally grew up with. But I could always tell she fought hard through a tremendous amount of pain. She’s an amazing songstress, so whatever allows her to wake up smiling and ready to embrace the days with hope and fervor, do it to it.

I like Vetements t-shirts I saw one on net a porter that said-I am a virgin but this is an old t-shirt.
Quirky, funny, and IIRC about 400 dollars and still sold out.😂

  8. Parigo says:

She looks great and I’m glad she’s trying new things and having fun. I took a look at Pepe’s Instagram, he’s actually quite talented and I think very responsible for her style renaissance.

  9. Tashiro says:

She looks better in the white dress. The other outfit no way, it hangs off her body, it doesn’t fit well at all. She doesn’t look attractive in it. She has def lost weight. I thought it might be because of her husband’s death. Ten pounds would do her a world of good but if she’s happy that’s all that matters.

  10. Mtec says:

Guys I think Celine is amazing.l see she’s happy and beautiful and I love my Canadian QUEEN!!!—but, is it wrong for me to worry about her weight?—does it make me a concern troll? ‘Cause I am worried, I dunno.

  11. Suzanne says:

As a steady wig wearer…I clearly can see a WIG part in the hair and where her natural hair is ending and the wig begins. Trust me…that’s NOT her hair. Her idea of fashion looks very similar to that of homeless people. Not saying that to insult homeless people…just a comparison of how totally ill-fitting, odd pieces of clothing thrown together end up being considered “fun and eclectic style” for her. She has never been a favorite of mine other than her voice. When she is interviewed…she comes off to me like she’s trying too hard to be insightful and funny. It gets annoying to me…but that doesn’t take away from her wonderful talent as a songstress.

    • Cbfan says:

I never would have noticed but now I can’t unsee it! You are right. I’m sure her hair is as scrawny as the rest of her!

  12. rchap says:

That’s definitely a wig. You can see where it starts- about 2 inches back from her hairline. But I like the shape on her!
