Afflarmas is not over! Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas were spotted together after a three week pap stroll break that just happened to coincide with a mildly ribbing article in the Washington Post about their thirstiness. In the interim Ben was in Portugal (maybe with Ana we don’t know), Ana adopted a puppy and her brother visited. Ana’s moves made me think she was soothing a broken heart but she and Ben were spotted out walking their dogs together on Friday and then they went to lunch in Malibu on Sunday.
A great Instagram account I follow, Deuxmoi, posts user-submitted sightings and stories from people who have met (and f’ed) celebrities. They got two user sightings over the weekend of Ben and Ana, but none in the last three weeks (which I heard about, I don’t read all their stories every day). Along with the lack of pap photos, that makes me think that Ben pulled back from Ana. Plus she got a dog and her brother visited! As my friend Zakia said, if she cut and colored her hair that would have been the breakup trifecta. I do think Ben took a break because he can’t stand negative publicity, but that he’s really into Ana and this isn’t over. Just my take!
Also, for those of you who thought Ana is pregnant based on the tunic dress she wore while out with her brother, she wore a very formfitting dress on Saturday. She has very weird fashion so it will take more than one loose dress or giant pair of jeans to tip us off about that.
Oh and on Saturday Elvis, Ana’s older dog, tried to run away! Ben ran after him and scooped him up. You know that Elvis thought that if Ben is coming back he may as well make a run for it. That poor pup has been looking aggrieved for weeks.
Elvis made a friend, but why isn’t that other dog on a leash?

During an uncertain time, it’s weirdly comforting to know these two are still together.
Seriously! I know their staged pap walks are annoying but I love that they are so in-your-face and I believe they really are in love! Plus I think Ana is so gorg and talented that her thirstiness doesn’t even bother me anymore. I want more of her cute outfits and dog!
But what is happening with Ben’s hair dye job? Did he get the 2 for 1 deal with the beard? OOOF.
huh. the body language is somewhat different in these pics from the previous dog-walking pics. not as jovial or touchy-feely.
There was never anything to suggest they broke up. He was in Portugal with her a few weeks ago while she was filming something. Lainey confirmed that. Then, he was at her house taking pictures of the new pup (he was the one taking the pics – his foot was in the photos.) And Ana was papped entering his house last week – all before this weekend’s photos. The only thing that changed is they stopped the pap strolls.
I think it’s funny that some think it must be Ben who pulled back on the pap strolls. I’d be willing to bet it was Anna’s people who warned her that the overexposure isn’t good for her. She has a lot more to lose than he does. It’s not really going to affect Ben or his career at this point.
You really called it on the Washington Post article. In the week prior they were papped every day, so it shows when the want to be incognito they can be, and more obviously when they want to be seen. Which seems like a lot!
I don’t think they cooled off, but obviously they toned down the pap strolls after the WaPo article. But hey the thirst is strong with these two so here we go again – all is good ! Hopefully we can enjoy more of this over the top couple before their dogs call it quit… Seriously I am here for this welcomed entertainment during those times… and team doggos all the way!
The two of them have looked unhappy around one another in both of their pap strolls post the great WaPo article call out. Ana has looked particularly morose in her return to thirstiness paparazzi struts in fact. Their body language between the two of them seems a lot different to me based on the recent pictures, closed off from one another. I definitely think something is up with the two of them but they’ll probably tough it out until their movie is released.
The Wall Street Journal subtly shaded them in an article released this weekend, too. I’m sure Ben won’t like that!
Maybe Jen asked him to give it two weeks after all the maskless pics of Ana and her friends. I wouldn’t want my kids around someone being so reckless.
I just think life sorta got back to normal ( as normal as it can be right now) She had to fly to Portugal for filming ( for work- Ben flew down later) Her brother was visiting & maybe did not want to be hounded by the paparazzi.
I think the pic of Ana’s new puppy deliberately showed Ben’s foot. They would have both seen that before it was posted on Ana’s IG.
They wanted us to notice Ben’s foot & realize that they were still together.
