The Cambridges released video proof of their happy marriage for their anniversary

Princess Charlene of Monaco shows off her new punkish hairstyle at The traditional Christmas Tree children event at Monaco

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were not content with simply releasing two portraits for their tenth wedding anniversary. No, Keen Anniversary Week needed some extra drama, so they released an exclusive video of their family playing in Norfolk. According to the royal reporters, this was shot in autumn of last year. Once you really look at the clothes, you realize that the video was shot on the very same day that they were photographed for their 2020 wood-intensive Christmas portrait. A photo from the same photoshoot was released for Kate’s Hold Still book as well. They really got a lot of mileage out of that one day that they were all together, huh. I guess they didn’t feel like organizing separate photoshoots on different days? That’s… very odd. Here’s the video:

Nice stuff: the kids really are cute and they’re getting so long/tall! It looks like they’re all getting the Spencer legs. Louis is turning into a mini-George and Charlotte is very cute. The video looks expensive, which is also nice – we know that William and Kate have dozens of staffers, they might as well hire good people who know how to make a video. A video which looks like a denim commercial, but still, that’s a vast improvement from their pre-Sussex social media.

Not so nice stuff: at the very end of the video, you can really see how Kate holds that toothy, open-mouth guffaw which looks so awkward in still photos and looks particularly fake and sinister in motion. While Will and Kate obviously enjoy their kids, I’m not particularly convinced that Will and Kate enjoy spending time with each other. Nor do I think they actually do spend much time together at this point. This – all of this, everything this week – has felt like a major overcompensation.

    1. The kids are cute
    2. This video, kate’s pictures for the Hold Still coffee table book, and the Christmas card seem to be done in the same day. That tells me that they planned to make this 10th wedding anniversary into something big but its not really picking up.
    3. The video started of alright but i rolled my eyes at the roasting marshmallows bit. They are over doing it with the “normal middle class country family” vibe they try to play of.

    • UnionSnack says:

re: 2 I find it ridiculous that they make special (!) video to show they are family. I don’t want to compare but when Meghan and harry showed video w/ Archie running at the beach – I was like “ok, nice, my family has the same videos, it’s cute”. It’s so cringy they have whole team to make one little video about HaPpY FaMiLy LiFe.

      • Mooney says:

Once again, both parents are with George and Louis and Charlotte is left alone.

      • Yup, Me says:

Re – Charlotte is left alone – she’s clearly shown being hugged by her father more than once and in the mix with her brothers. What are you talking about?

      • FuefinaWG says:

One would think if you really do have a lot of family time and you’re playing with the kids, you’d be able to pull videos off of your phone rather than having to hire someone to film your “day of fun that we do all the time.”
If they had been smart about it they would have changed their outfits.

    • EliseM says:

      3) exactly. Who started that fire? LOL. Just to point out, they sit close to each other, but don’t really “touch”. Arms are crossed over the legs, but no hand holding or arms around each other.
Usually, If you have to got to this length to convince people your in a happy marriage, you really aren’t.

      • Izzy says:

True, but this couple has never been overtly affectionate to one another in public. They just don’t roll that way and never did. Not saying the marriage isn’t a mess, but I don’t know that their body contact is the biggest sign.

      • TigerMcQueen says:

@Izzy, there’s not being affectionate in public and then there’s the Keens.

They don’t engage with each other (outside of the Olympics victory hug) hardly at all. As in, if I weren’t told they were a couple, I wouldn’t think they were a couple. Not because they aren’t openly demonstrative in public, but because there’s a lack of connection between them even when they’re not the center attention at an event. They don’t look at each other and never really have. There’s no small touches, glances, chummy chit chat, smiles when the camera isn’t focused on them. I’ve known loads of couples who weren’t demonstrative in public at all yet still had an intimacy about the way they engaged with the other so that it was clear they were connected. I have never seen that in the Keens.

This is why, going back to prior to their wedding when Keen G started doing some public engagements with Cain, I thought it was obvious that he’d settled for her because she was the only one willing to put up with him/the RF. I absolutely believe he wouldn’t have married her (or gotten married at all) if he weren’t the FFK. Likewise, she wouldn’t have tolerated the 10 year waiting period to marry if he couldn’t make her the FFQ.

So I don’t think their lack of body contact is sign their marriage isn’t in trouble now, I think it’s a sign that their relationship has always been transactional and not about love at all.

      • Emily_C says:

They don’t touch each other even accidentally. I don’t like PDA either, but this is weird.

    • Aphra says:

And who has a cookout three feet from their car? So weird to see the Range Rover in the background of the all-natural marshmallows fire.

    • Becks1 says:

So for 2 – it really seems they are barely together, right? So they were together one day, filmed that video, took some photos, which they released for christmas, hold still, Kate’s birthday. This week, they did a joint event and took pictures on the same day. It’s really starting to cement the idea that they live separately and they need to get the most bang for their buck when they are together.

      • Sunday says:

100%. It would stand out even during a normal year, but that fact that it’s a whole pandemic and they’ve supposedly been in lockdown together for months and months, and yet the only footage they have of them being the perfect little family all happens to take place across one or two dates? Especially since Kate is supposedly such a keen photographer – she wouldn’t have footage of everyone just hanging out and not filming a glossy Range Rover ad? Something’s not right.

      • ElleV says:

agree, it’s striking that they’re milking this one outing for all it’s worth!

people have been talking in other threads about how sinister the vibe is becoming and I thought they were reading too much into the situation… but then this video looks like the flashback in a movie about someone’s wife/mum who died tragically… like WTF

      • Kaykay says:

Not sure where you get that idea from.
I read this blog often and almost daily I see these two in a post doing something: A video call, or an actual visit to some place, some family event, etc.
I’m not saying you are wrong, they might very well not live together, but your assumption that they don’t see each other that often can not be right, and I’m sure they get plenty of opportunities to get photographed together for different occasions.

      • Nic919 says:

The court circular confirms that the things we see spread over many days actually are grouped together and that includes engagements and zoom calls.

      • Becks1 says:

@Kaykay – its because if you track the visits, you can figure out that things are done in a clump. (and zoom calls, IMO, are probably done all at once with outfit changes and then released once a week or so to make them look busier.)

Again, take the two most recent examples. This week, they went to a sheep farm, visited a center for kids with special needs, and they had anniversary pictures taken. Kate wore outfit 1 for the sheep farm, changed the coat and boats for the center, and then completely changed for the anniversary pics. We know the pics were taken on the same day bc KP said they were taken “this week” and william is dressed in the exact same outfit, right down to the shirt underneath the sweater.

but anyone glancing through their IG would think they were spread out a lot more than that. You would think the sheep farm and the center were on two different days.

And if they had plenty of opportunities to get photographed together for different occasions – why are we getting a video released in April that was taken back in September, that was taken the same day as other family portraits (christmas, birthday, hold still.)

Often Kate does things like change her hair (pulls it into a ponytail between visits or something) to give the illusion that they are busier than they are, or pics from a visit arent released until a week or so later, even though it happened on the same day as another visit.

Finally, like Nic said – the court circular confirms that things are bunched together more often than KP would like people to realize.

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

      3) I imagine it was Uncle James’s idea to toast marshmallows. He’s probably got a ton of stock to still unload.

    • ElleV says:

please delete – replied in the wrong spot

    • Tessa says:

I think it bad for those children to be trotted out for PR. They will resent this if this keeps up. They could rebel as teens.

    • fishface says:

Shampoo ad? Life insurance ad? Do-regular-bowel-cancer-testing-if-you-want-to-be-around-for-your-family ad?

  2. Northerngirl says:

William always look like he doesn’t want to be there. He’s always awkward. kate is really trying, I’ll give her that.

    • Gail Hirst says:

reminds me of when poor Anne Hathaway had to carry a whole show (Oscars?) because her co-host, James Franco, was not “all there”.
I wonder if Kate has a theatre background like Anne, so projects to the back of the theatre and over-amps everything because it’s….theatre….

      • Nic919 says:

I agree that William and Kate remind me of Anne Hathaway and James Franco awkwardly hosting the Oscars. The only difference being that Anne and James were work colleagues and not a married couple of 10 years.

    • sunny says:

Yup! She is working really hard and you can see her look up at William in a way that seems affectionate. A+ for effort from her here. Him not so much.

The children are adorable and lovely and the most genuine parts of the video are them interacting with the kids as opposed to each other.

    • TigerMcQueen says:

Yes! She’s leaning toward him at the end of the video and he’s leaning away. She seems to be trying and he’s not into it.

However, they do both seem to be natural around the kids and really seem to enjoy them. They just don’t seem to enjoy each other, Keen G’s manic grin aside.

    • Jules says:

Williams body language is the physical equivalent of “Whatever love means…”

  3. marehare says:

Was this film taken before or after the Rose Hanbury affair? Asking for a friend.

    • UnionSnack says:

I think Cecilia (Comm #1) was right about timing, it’s not new but not that old.

    • maddie says:

Is the affair generally accepted as actually having occurred? All I remember is I stumbled on a thread on Twitter which laid out a very detailed account of a possibility of an affair and then it was deleted.

      • Beach Dreams says:

Several people in the BM have occasionally hinted at it on Twitter and the fact that they can’t talk about it.

      • Becks1 says:

I think the British media certainly acts like it occurred. I think in general its pretty accepted among everyone except hardcore Kate loyalists that William isn’t faithful, so whether or not he slept with Rose may be more up in the air, but there’s been enough “confirmation” of sorts from different enough sources that i think it happened.

      • Gail Hirst says:

I’m not convinced the affair was with Rose, but I am convinced there was an affair.

      • GraceB says:

I think it all depends upon the narrative you want to subscribe to. In the absence of facts, it is impossible to say either way, which makes the story fun because it can be twisted to suit anyones agenda and affairs are really hard things to ever provide proof of unless caught in the act or actually admitting it.

      • Ginger says:

My husband ( who only follows sports news on twitter) knows about the affair. It’s very well known.LOL

      • Lottie says:

The action that made me suspect there might be something to the rumour was the sentence about Rose Banbury that the Cambridges had removed from the online Tatler article.

        https://www.celebitchy.com/680299/tatler_removed_one_paragraph_from_their_catherine_the_great_story_guess_what_it_was/

      • maddie says:

That sole paragraph removed does it for me. Something had to have happened.

  4. UnionSnack says:

Oh, sure, kids. Their only achievement in this marriage.

  5. Merricat says:

I don’t know. When you live with someone for that long, you develop an ease with each other. I don’t see that here, that comfortable intimacy.

    • Jaded says:

I was just thinking that – speaking from personal experience, if you’re in a happy relationship you’re always laying a hand casually on your partner’s arm, or giving hugs or whatever. I never see that from those two, they’re painfully unaffectionate with each other.

      • Erin says:

I don’t know that it’s fair to say if you are in a loving and happy relationship you are physically demonstrative. I’m coming up on my seven year anniversary but we don’t usually have arms hanging over each other, or hug in public a lot. My brother, on the other hand, was constantly holding his wife’s (of 20 years) hand in public but had two secret babies with his mistress through the years. Some couples are not necessarily comfortable with tons of PDA.

      • Nic919 says:

I think there is a difference between PDA and being at ease with someone. It’s also why I think younger women are fooled by the fake Cambridge photos because they don’t have the life experience to see how weird the Cambridges act around each other. You don’t need to be demonstrative to be in a solid relationship, but no one in a solid relationship is as awkward with their partner as William and Kate are with each other. I simply don’t know anyone who has been together for years who acts as awkward as they do. And it has nothing to do with holding hands or PDA.

  6. Mira says:

Well at least the kids are lovely and act very natural.

  7. ThatgirlThere says:

They are so pretentious and full of shit and copy the Sussex’s at every chance they get. I can’t believe that baldy stabbed his brother in the back so that he could stop getting shit on for he and his lazy wife. The kiddos are cute tho…

  8. Rapunzel says:

I think all the photos and videos coming from this one shoot is interesting. Like, it’s the only time they were all together? Or they’re determined to never show current footage of the kids? I don’t get the continuous reuse.

    • Cessily says:

When I read they put out a video on their anniversary I thought it might touch on the past to present. But this was nicely done, the tabloids and British get they happy family video with cute kids and happy Royals with a beach scene and no social message or acknowledgements.

  9. Lemons says:

So, if you notice, this was likely filmed over 1 day. The Cambridges really are experts at the outfit quick-change to give the impression that multiple days have passed.

In any case, this is a great video! Will looks to do some great work. And I can actually believe they’re a happily married couple with kids they love and that love them back.

But their PR is in shambles, so we know that’s not the case.

I wish they would hire more professionals or amateur videographers to film more of these types of videos during their events or to make a recipe video etc.

    • Léna says:

I think they just took the coats off, for sure it’s only 1 day. But, yeah, honestly I don’t like them but this video is nice and believeable.

  10. Abby says:

Lawd I’m dying from laughter with this caption😂🤣😂

  11. Snuffles says:

It’s a nicely done video. The kids are super cute. To me it seems Kate is far more natural and comfortable around the children. Will, not so much. It’s like his shoulders are permanently tense.

    • Cecilia says:

We can talk a lot about william but i do think he’s very much involved with his kids and the kids look comfortable around him. Remember when they went for that pantomime thing? They were greeted at the door and charlotte looked a little nervous and unsure and immediately grabbed her father. A child who’s uncomfortable wouldn’t do that. She would have turned to her mother instead, who btw was standing right next to her.

      • Original Jenns says:

I remember once on the balcony, I think Kate was holding baby Louis, and Louis started stretching out to William, wanting him. So I do think they have loving connections with their children (not in a vaccuum, lots of other opinions had on them haha). Just that they may not have that with each other. Maybe that’s why William was so tense.

    • Zebz says:

I agree with you. William actually looks like he is going to be sick in one shot with just Louis there. His neck and shoulders are so tense. Weird af.

  12. Amy Bee says:

I just think they’re trying too hard. I seem to remember Harry and Meghan getting a lot of criticism anytime they put out a video, it was too Hollywood and unroyal. What’s changed now?

    • Lemons says:

The hypocrisy is tiring, right? Here, Kate and PWT are saving the monarchy with glossy videos and cracked-out Instastories.

But H&M were too Hollywood and gauche.

    • Ginger says:

This video looks like a commercial but the British press will praise it to the heavens for being so amazing and loving. If this was H&M they would be slammed for this. I just hate the hypocrisy. What they have done today is VERY Hollywood but not a peep from the press. This is all a little much for a 10 year anniversary especially with William “allegedly”
      cheating.

    • Millenial says:

Yeah, this whole video looked like an Instagram ad for AirBnB or something. I found it really bizarre.

    • Nivz says:

This is really “Hollywood” fosho. It’s a super bowl ad.
But I guess they just can’t win with us. Me anyway. I don’t like their usual social media videos and this is a bit extra. I prefer this if I had to choose.

    • Nivz says:

Louis is a cutie patootie. He is my favourite of the three.

  13. Myra says:

If it was another couple, people would say it was a cringey PR-driven and stage-managed Hollywood commercial-style video. I’ll just say that the children are very cute. It’s nice when kids are able to spend a day out with their dads.

  14. Beach Dreams says:

Yikes. I don’t know how they or the BM could possibly bitch about the Sussexes being too Hollywood after this cringe “super happy family in the countryside” commercial. The “moment” between Will and Kate 6 seconds in is extra awkward, it’s like a glimpse into her habit of holding her “happy/overjoyed” expressions in place for the cameras. If she smiled any harder her face would crack. The kids are a nice enough distraction from the awkwardness between the parents. The closing shot of the two of them is…telling. It feels like a succinct representation of their marriage and relationship as a whole: her desperation for his approval and affection, and his determination to ignore her.

  15. Lauren says:

The kids are very cute. I’m so sorry that they have to grow up with parents that clearly want nothing to do with each other, but need very much one another to keep face. That can’t be a healthy environment to grow up in. Btw, Keen was having a Jecca fashion moment in that video.

  16. mariahlee says:

this was well done and is sure to satisfy their loyal followers. the perfect white nuclear family.

it’s interesting to me that these *not celebrities* hired a videographer to capture and edit such intimate moments for the sole purpose of celebrating themselves… but surely this is what duty and service to Queen and country require of them.

  17. Sofia says:

The kids are adorable and look cute. I don’t think the video was so bad but it might just be the kids covering up anything bad about it for me lol. I would probably find it awkward if it was just the two of them in the video

  18. Bren says:

I guess the anniversary video is an example of Kate’s unrivaled social media game.

Let’s be honest here, the Cambridges would have never produced a video like this before Meghan.

    They are tryhards, indeed.

  19. Layday says:

It’s very telling that rather than embracing modernization in any aspect, the video and pics seem to fall back on them being WASP caricatures here. While it’s nicely done and the kids are cute, it’s so very throwback as if they were relics of another era. It comes across as disingenuous as those “perfect” suburban families they liked to “idealize” in the 1950s, but as long as people keep buying what they’re selling I guess it hardly matters.

  20. candy says:

This looks like an ad for expensive outdoor clothing.

  21. Maria says:

This is a weird uncanny valley-esque LL Bean ad.
Cute kids but the freaky robot parents not so much.

    • Becks1 says:

omg thats exactly what it reminds me of lol. I couldn’t put my finger on it .

    • Maria says:

Not gonna lie I did find myself wanting some of these clothes 😂

    • Amelie says:

It does look like an LL Bean commercial! Or some other All American brand like J Crew or something? I enjoyed the video even if it was comercial/music video-esque. And I’m not a fan of William and Kate but I really don’t see any issues with it apart from the fact it’s on the artsy side.

  22. Midge says:

And after the shoot, William returned to his house and Kate and the kids to theirs.

  23. Jan says:

Where is the poster that was complains about too many royal family post?

    • Vanessa says:

People only complain when it’s about Meghan and Harry they make their asinine comments about how the site has too many royal story’s when it’s a positive story about the Sussex’s but disappears when the Cambridge’s have multiple stories .

    • Vanessa says:

People only complain when it’s about Meghan and Harry they make their asinine comments about how the site has too many royal story’s when it’s a positive story about the Sussex’s but disappears when the Cambridge’s have multiple stories .

  24. Nina says:

Ugh. That video is the epitome of the Cambridges. Cold, dull, and wet. But I guess, it is aimed at the Bitter Isle audience.

  25. Kalana says:

It looks like a perfume ad for some country products line but it is SO much better than the pictures of Will and Kate.
The kids are natural and very cute and William and Kate look better with them. Kate has expression in her eyes and that was really missing from the other pictures.

  26. Dee says:

A year of lockdown, and all you have is this carefully scripted cosplay? That’s telling in itself.

  27. Bea says:

Meghan is a professional actress but so is Kate. She puts quite a show but it’s always a little off. There’s always something missing and it’s never truly convincing that they are so in love and that they are an incredible happy family. I mean, no family is perfect and happy all the time but they overcompensate so much. The marshmallows are so over the top… the song… the “chasing the children” and laughing… I always roll my eyes… it’s like the pictures when they are throwing snow at each other… I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me.

    • Cecilia says:

I think its the dynamic between william and kate. They try to look in love and like they’re having fun together but notice how they barely actually look at each other. In the picture released we had one with william looking at kate (trying to look in love or something) while kate looked at the camera. Here in the video— that last bit with just william and kate— its kate apparently laughing at something while william is looking at the ground and appears to be talking. If you are talking to your wife why not just look at her?

    • WithTheAmerican says:

It’s seriously the script written for an ad to sell a product. No one drives somewhere to set up marshmallow roast 3 feet from their car with all of their kids, unless they have a production team setting up the props and they’re off in their trailers getting hair, makeup and wardrobe.

Which is what this looks like to me.

  28. Anna says:

    Beautiful vid. Love it

  29. Amy Too says:

What I got from this video is that Kate points A LOT. Like she’s directing the family to do things, go here, look at this, climb this tree, roast your marshmallow right here. When the kids are on the see saw thing, she’s even in the background pointing around at someone inside the house.

And she looks different depending on the angle, lighting, or whatever. There were shots towards the beginning where she looked like old Kate from 8 years ago, and then others where she looked like new Kate from very recently. Also her skin color/level of tan changed a lot. Sometimes she looked like she was wearing dark orange foundation but other times she looked a lot lighter. It’s kind of weird to see a long video like this with some many different angles when you’re used to highly retouched still shots of her.

  30. Plums says:

Videos of them with the kids are the reason why I don’t buy the theory that William is an absent father. I don’t think their marriage is solid, but I do think their family generally is. It’s clear the kids are as happy and normal as they can possibly be, and they’re all totally at ease with William, which wouldn’t be the case if he was typically absent or emotionally distant or volatile.

    • molly says:

William seems to be following in his father’s footsteps: Questionable husband, good dad. Charles was a mess with Diana, but by all accounts, he had a very close relationship with his sons growing up. (Adult decisions notwithstanding.)

I guess if you’re only going to be loyal to one, it’s best to pick the kids. They didn’t ask to be here.

      • Tessa says:

If Charles Really had a close relationship with his sons, this mess would not have happened and Harry would still be in the UK with his wife and son. He let WIlliam drive out Harry, this does not a good father make.

    • Maria says:

In regards to Charles, he was never a hands on father when his sons were young and even his most faithful royal reporter defenders corroborate this. Even Harry sort of corroborated it in the interview when talking about being able to teach Archie to ride a bike himself – an experience he never had.
The boys were trotted out to walk behind their mother’s coffin to shield Charles. Charles cut off Harry’s security and allowed his other son to endanger Harry’s life by subsequently trying to leak their locations.

Charles is a decent Prince of Wales, but not a good husband or father.

We barely ever see them with William so I don’t think being able to only see rare pics and a few seconds of footage is a good indicator. Anyway, if the kids looked tense they wouldn’t release that footage.
I’m sure he’s probably just a non entity since the nannies raise them. Maybe he comes around from time to time to spoil them for a half hour then returns to the rose bushes, like many an absent wealthy father of yore.

      • molly says:

I guess I’ve read different things about Charles being a good dad when Harry and Will were younger. (But you’re right, the funeral walk was unforgivable.) At the very least, he had a closer relationship with them than he did with his own father growing up, so I suppose the bar was set pretty low.

      • Tessa says:

If the boys had been of age, Charles would not have walked behind the casket. He was a bad husband to Diana and had moved on to Camilla years earlier.

    • Beach Dreams says:

Eh…William himself admitted that he didn’t see the kids much in 2019. He’s probably spent a bit more time with them since the pandemic, but I don’t think a carefully edited video is the best indicator for what he’s like as a father or what life is like for the Cambridges as a family.

      • Ginger says:

Agreed. I don’t see any stories of William being a hands on dad like we do with Harry (unless I missed them)

    • Amy Too says:

I don’t take the kids being comfortable around him or even reaching for him necessarily as evidence that he must live with them or see them a lot. My kids see their grandparents once or twice a month and are all over them when they come. Because they see them less often, they want to spend all the time with them. I’ve seen kids get super excited about the babysitter they see a couple of times a year, hugging her, climbing all over her, wanting to hold her hand and drag her off to the playroom ASAP. It doesn’t seem to be so much about how often you see someone, but how much you like them/want them to like you. When I was little I saw my Aunt Suzy once or twice a year and I was attracted to her like a magnet and wanted to sit with her at the table and next to her on the couch. I even wanted her to take me to the potty when I was very little. So I can see the kids being excited about seeing their dad when he comes around.

People you don’t see very often tend to try to make that up with playing and fun stuff that mom can’t do like picking you up and swinging you around. If anything, the fact that they reach for him and seem more into him than Kate makes me think they see him more scarcely than Kate and it’s a big deal to have him around. If I remember, Charles was super absent as a father when the boys were young but they still got excited when he did show up and wanted to talk to him and see him on their birthdays and such.

      • Greywacke says:

I saw my dad only once a year for about a month, and when I did, we were super affectionate…when he was his home, often rarely.

    • Emily_C says:

I was always comfortable around my father and loving towards him, and he was and is incredibly emotionally volatile. You can’t tell from how kids this young act.

  31. Shawna says:

To put another spin on it, it would be nice if my husband and I could’ve had time to play with our kid together over the pandemic. Working from home with the toddler, we literally don’t see each other. It’s either you’re working or you’re watching the kid. We don’t have access to childcare, and our family time isn’t considered work! So we haven’t had much time as a family together. That’s what this video means to me… my own envy! I wonder if any Britons feel that way too. M+H did that too, but they aren’t trying middle class drag.

  32. TheOriginalMia says:

The kids are cute, but like the pictures I’m not convinced that is a happy marriage. The video tried too hard, so it came off as fake. Too much like an ad selling a product. That product is the Cambridge marriage.

  33. Becks1 says:

It’s a really well done video – I know it was filmed months ago, but I’m laughing that in the other post we had suggestions for what they should have done on social media instead for their anniversary and then they did one of the suggestions, lol. (like I said I know it was planned so no one is following our advice, but it still makes me laugh.)

  34. Shari says:

Congrats on them. Marriage is tough. They have a cute family together.

  35. Woohoosah says:

All I see is “hes just not that into you.” I kind of feel for her. She seems to be missing self worth. That leads pretty quickly to petty, mean girl behavior, as well as mimicry.

  36. S808 says:

Louis is just so adorable!! ☺️

  37. Harper says:

So they sat on this video since the fall? Why didn’t they film something current as there has been plenty of together time. Kate is trying so hard at the end but William will just not look her in the eye and give her that moment of connection. Once today is over, I’m looking forward to the fact that the Keens have nothing else good going for them to promote.

  38. Catherine says:

I think last year they must have been planning a big BTS doc for their anniversary so they got a lot of photos/video as part of that project but then abandoned the idea. So they decided to do something with the footage. Hence the Christmas photo/hold still and now this anniversary release. Maybe the lockdown restrictions limited what they could do. The photos yesterday and the video just comes across awkward. It just doesn’t resonate. And I can’t help but point out. The Sussexes got crushed with criticism for using so called celebrity photographers and for their use of videos. But here we are with the Cambridge’s doing the same. The more time passes the more evidence we see that all the outrage against the Sussexes was just BS. I will say this as a mother I wonder if Kate looks at her kids and is okay with the fact that the institution will use Louis and Charlotte to prop up and protect George the way Harry was used. I think they expected the Sussexes children to be thrown to the media wolves in exchange for favorable coverage of the Cambridge children.

  39. Eleonor says:

This look like a Ralph Lauren ad.
    Cute kids.

  40. Angie says:

Kids, beautiful kids *aretha Franklin voice* … I got nothin else.

  41. Florence says:

Why couldn’t they show a video of the amazing things they’ve done? The generosity and projects they’ve helped develop, the charities they support, the people they inspire, etc?

    Oh wait.

Because the biggest things Kate’s ever done is keep her figure and bouncy hair for ten years. Perhaps that means I qualify for duchessing too because I also have done these things?

The less said about William’s achievements the better.

    The children are adorable though.

  42. Nyro says:

The kids are all they have going for them at this point. The weird anniversary photos flopped to the point that even the mugxits seemed unimpressed. So I knew something with the kiddies was coming. That said, this video ain’t gonna set the internet on fire either because those kids are officially overexposed. Sorry, not sorry. Cute kids but the public has seen and heard more from them in the last year than it has the queen. At this point, dragging the kids out is played out.

  43. MaryContrary says:

The kids are darling. I find their parents annoying AF, but I do think that they seem to be loving, involved parents. I made the mistake of going on the KP site where they posted this, and their fans are seriously unhinged-like their lives are being made by this video and how in love and happy the Cambridges are. So freaky.

  44. Digital Unicorn says:

OMG it looks like an ad for Barbour!!!

Sorry but the W&K looks of love are soooo awkward – it looks like they met for the first time 2 mins before the camera started rolling.

  45. Cessily says:

We’re the family photos by the barn taken the same day the video was taken? They look to be wearing the same outfits but I may be missing something.

FYI; Someone has actually turned it into a spoofed jewelry commercial on social media, not sure I agree with that but it was hard not to laugh..

  46. Seraphina says:

That caption is strange. 10 years together and they thank everyone for the support??? Really??? Weird. Really weird too.

  47. Liz version 700 says:

Someone on Twitter turned this into a Kay Jewler commercial and now I can’t unsee Lol

    https://twitter.com/mayavado/status/1387806931176284160?s=21

  48. Amelia says:

Whenever I see them use their initials “W & C” why do I always read it out as “Wee and Cee” 😭🙈

  49. Mooney says:

Once again, both parents are with George and Louis and Charlotte is left alone.

  50. Carolind says:

Not a great fan of the video but nice seeing the new dog and the kids are very cute. I wonder if those saying Charlotte not so evident, saw the same video as me? She is very evident in what I saw. If anything, I thought George less in evidence but he is older and also harder to distinguish between him and Louis at a quick glance as both are blonde haired.

  51. Over it says:

When I see how desperate she looks for affection and attention from him, I almost feel sorry for her , but then I remember she is a mean girl who sold her soul for a crown so she and him deserve this life of misery.

  52. Nina says:

Not one original idea. Archie, Meghan, and Harry on the beach. Next, we see PWT and Keen on some cold, dreary, windswept beach. Couldn’t even make the effort to be original in their ideas. You realize how much they have been getting by claiming first Harry’s ideas and work, then Harry and Meghan’s. Smdh.

    • Lizzie says:

And Harry filmed it while the non hHollywood pair hired professionals. They have the nerve to say Harry and Meghan are too slick then claim ‘this is how it’s done’. Apparently their anniversary pics went over like a lead balloon soooo, trot out the kids.

  53. Curious says:

this is suppose to be a happy video. but its sad.watching the children play ,laughing, enjoying themselves.i can’t help but think, enjoy yourselves little ones.in 15 yrs and more you will be used as they used your uncle Harry. they don’t know it as yet , that George will be the only important person among the siblings .George is the only one that will have the same rank as their father.

    • Liz version 700 says:

Yep it is a sad thought for sure

    • Becks1 says:

I think this is why I no longer find the photo ops with the kids cute. We see no sign from William and Kate that they want to change the toxic Windsor dynamics; indeed, they benefit from those toxic dynamics. That’s going to play out in a sad way for their kids, because as any parent knows, kids are always listening and pick up on EVERYTHING. the pattern is repeating and the Cambridge kids are taking note on some level, especially almost 8-year-old George.

  54. HeatherC says:

Ten years on and she still has nothing more to offer than poses that show off Big Blue. Oh well. Cute kids.

  55. Tessa says:

The attempt at her “loving look” is so fake looking.

  56. Tessa says:

This is so cheesy, like one of those commercials selling a car so dad can take the kids camping. The music is a bit off

  57. Tessa says:

THe children are cute but they seem more and more being used for PR and are coached like child actors. Not a good thing.

  58. MangoAngelesque says:

“Alright, children, we know how difficult it is to schedule happy fun times with mummy and daddy at the same place, so we’re going to be doing several exciting family activities this afternoon! We must get several months’ worth of photos and videos out of this one day, after all!”

  59. Jewel says:

That vide well done. But.. . I couldn’t help but think it reminds me of one of those herpes cream comercials.

  60. Sarcasm101 says:

They’re really layin it on thick.

  61. Sarcasm101 says:

They’re really layin it on thick.

  62. Sarcasm101 says:

They’re really layin it on thick.

  63. Tessa says:

It looks like a commercial and the kids were brought in for auditions by their stage mothers to get the part. The children should not be used as props and made to do PR films for their parents.
