Kyle Richards hasn’t had alcohol in seven months, claims not to miss it

Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been in the news quite a bit recently for her body transformation. And no, it’s not the breast reduction. She hit back at claims that Ozempic caused her sudden weight loss and said it’s a result of daily workouts and a limited diet, including no alcohol whatsoever. So Kyle hasn’t had alcohol in seven months. And supposedly she doesn’t miss it at all. Bold claim for a Real Housewife.

Kyle Richards is sharing more details about her recent diet changes.

After posting her morning workout routine on Instagram Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star answered several questions sent to her via DM from fans.

One curious follower asked about how her break from alcohol — part of her strict health regimen — has been going so far.

“Truth is I don’t miss it at all,” said Richards, 54, on her Instagram Story, adding that she doesn’t have a “time frame” on when — if at all — she’ll start to imbibe again.

“I feel amazing so don’t see the point right now,” the reality star said, sharing that Feb. 15 will mark seven months since she’s had alcohol.

In another follower-submitted question, Richards was asked whether she misses margaritas, which fans became familiar with as her favorite drink on RHOBH.

However, it seems even her favorite cocktail isn’t going to break her new routine, as she answered, “So far, no … ”

Since giving followers a glimpse into her impressive fitness progress, Richards has faced a host of questions as to whether her weight loss is natural or from Ozempic, a prescription diabetes drug popular in Hollywood circles for its off-label use for weight loss.

She told ExtraTV last week that she “cannot stand people saying” that she’s relying on the drug for her new physique: “People that know me know that I’m up every day at like 5:30 a.m., 6 a.m. at the latest … I’m in the gym for two hours.”

“I really put a lot of effort into my diet and exercise and taking care of myself, so when people like to think I took the easy way out, it’s frustrating,” Richards added.

Some have suggested that the Bravo personality has secretly undergone plastic surgery to achieve her weight loss.

“Sometimes I turn my cheek the other way and ignore it, but I work really hard and it really bothers me, and I would like to be able to be an inspiration to people,” Richards told ExtraTV. “So don’t think I took the easy way out.”

So the Real Housewives do love their wine and cocktails, but sure, I’ll buy that she doesn’t miss it. The longer you go without something the easier it is to get used to life without it, right? Also, she’s trading alcohol for her figure, so she’s getting something out of abstaining. I only drink socially so I don’t miss it during the week, but isn’t socializing the main thing that Real Housewives do? Again, bold claim for Kyle to say she doesn’t miss it. I would definitely need a drink to deal with some of those personalities. Maybe Kyle didn’t take Ozempic and I get why she’d be upset people assuming that she did instead of crediting her hard work, but it’s starting to seem like a case of her protesting too much! You didn’t take Ozempic, okay cool. I guess it’s headlines for Kyle either way though. Gotta keep that exposure going.

I didn’t realize that people with diabetes after lap band surgery no longer had diabetes.
Saw an article and Drs. are saying they have never seen a weight lost medicine/diabetes that get these results before.
They’re two medicines they’re prescribing, the one that cost 1K a month for a shot, you lose the weight quicker.

I guess it surprises me that so many celebs are using this. I always assumed they were all on phentermine.

I’m with Kyle on this one – five years ago, I decided that clean eating was the path forward and stopped drinking – and committed to working out daily. And over about six months – promptly dropped nearly 55 pounds. I still maintain those habits for the most part – and have maintained the transformation. Kyle is in the hyper-religious phase of doing the work. The trick for me was transitioning from being super rigorous about it all – to being more balanced – but keeping all the good habits going. That is where folks can collapse back into their old habits – or make a long-term change. I’m excited for her – eating healthy and getting exercise is boring – but life-changing. And life-extending.

Do you mind sharing your daily workout plan? I just turned 50 last year, and celebrate 5 years sober from alcohol this month. I don’t miss it and feel good, but the weight gain creep after quitting drinking has been steady. Your results are inspirational.

Yep! Kyle dropped a ton of weight by being “hyper religious” with her “super rigorous” 2 hour daily workout routine that she’s been committed to.
Sure, a few of her co-stars also just recently went down several dress sizes using Ozempic, etc.
What the hell does that have to do with Kyle?

She managed this in her 50’s you guys. And she has no saggy skin visible in her bikini pictures that she shared. No surgical intervention!
Thank you for your honesty and integrity, Kyle.
