For three months, the mysterious disappearance of the Princess of Wales grew into a major international story and it brought out some pretty wild conspiracies. Up until March 22, the social media speculation and international interest were driving the story of Kate’s disappearance. Without social media and the international press, the British media would have happily carried water for a palace with zero credibility, a palace which arrogantly fed their domestic press lie after lie. Then Kate’s cancer video came out and suddenly all of the speculation and rumormongering came to a halt. For five weeks now, Kate has still been missing, but no one is even attempting to call the palace to account for their brazen lies or for their clownish behavior for months. It’s all been quiet, with a vague undercurrent of “so are we ever going to see Kate again or what.” Now that King Charles has announced his first public event (a visit to a cancer center on Tuesday), the Telegraph has a piece about how Charles’s good news will help “take some of the pressure off the Princess of Wales.” What pressure? No one has put any pressure on Kensington Palace in more than a month.
This latest update, that the King’s treatment is going well enough for him to return to public duties, will therefore be all the more welcomed with delight and relief by followers of the Royal family, who have missed the stars of the show. It will also have one additional happy side effect: taking some of the pressure off the Princess of Wales as she navigates her own recovery.
For the Princess, whose own absence caused such extraordinary public speculation earlier this year, there are hopes that the bolstered ranks of senior royals will buy her more of the peace and quiet she needs. While Buckingham Palace has issued a tentative road map for the King’s return to public duties, there are no such plans at Kensington Palace.
The Princess’s candid video, in which she shared the news she was having preventative chemotherapy and spoke movingly about her children, was issued only a month ago. Since then, she has been at home with her young family as they try to keep their lives as stable as they can.
In keeping with the family’s plea for privacy, there have been no hints as to when or how the Princess will make a return to the high profile public duties she has so excelled at since joining the Royal family. Now, with the return of the King, the Trooping the Colour balcony will feel a lot fuller; the opening of the Buckingham Palace garden party more regal.
That his headline-grabbing presence could act as a shield for questions about the Princess’s health and return would be a happy by-product for a father-in-law who has shared such an unexpected and unusual health journey with the woman the newspapers like to call the “daughter he never had”.
Since the Princess authorised the release of her personal video message on March 22, the public and elements of the press have examined their consciences and the frenzied speculation has dissolved. The Princess, as she wishes, has been left to the care of her doctors and loved ones in peace. But as the summer season approaches, so too do the events at which she would ordinarily be a fixture: Chelsea Flower Show, Wimbledon, Royal Ascot, Trooping the Colour and at least one palace garden party. Her absence will still be keenly felt.
The palace has said she will return to official duties only when she is cleared by doctors, and that advice still stands. She “may be keen to attend events as and when she feels able to”, her spokesman has said, but “any initial public events will not necessarily signal a return to a regular public schedule”. It is enough to give hope to her admirers that she may feel able to follow in the King’s public footsteps, even briefly, before too long.
So in lieu of actually putting pressure on Kensington Palace to answer some questions about Kate’s condition, a recovery timeline and even basic housekeeping about “when/where photos and videos were taken,” the Telegraph is just going full throttle with: thank God the king is doing better, we have something to write about because we can’t write about Kate, we’ve been boxed in. Meanwhile, this open-ended absence is growing more and more weird. Also weird: everything that came before the cancer video, and the palace’s very strange attempts to convince people that Kate was up and around in those weeks before the video. All of those “sightings” in cars and the Windsor Farm Store.

Keen never worked that much to begin with. Isn’t peg the heir supposed to be feeling the pressure.
Exactly! That’s what I wrote below. Even if we leave her out of it, there is a huge story here with the incompetent – and potentially criminal – heir. I keep going back to that weird, out of nowhere headline about what would happen if Huevo committed a serious crime. Someone somewhere knows something.
That, and the out of left field comment that Will had nothing to do with Thomas Kingston’s death. No one had that on their radar as a possibility but the random comment sure started speculation. The media and Pr there is just so bad.
What pressure? She never did much anyway so there is no taking any pressure off Princess Dolittle.
If charles gets better she’s gonna have less pressure? Huh? Health is not a competition, what’s wrong with these people. Or less pressure for what?
Charles has nothing to do with any pressure: she has the pressure of WORKING just like every peasant in the world like us, except she tries to escape it any way she can. Healthy or not we all have pressure we need to deal with. That’s the ball & chain she chose for herself after dating huevo willie for 10 years without ever getting a real job.
If Kate is supposedly so very popular and brings all the star quality, why would seeing KC instead make people happy? Or could it really be that the vast majority of people aren’t really that hyped up about seeing either of them?
The only royals anyone really cares about (up to and including the king and his mistress queen) are Harry and Meghan. They’re the only ones who people talk about, the only ones who sell papers and get clicks. If a jar of Meghan’s jam can overshadow the king or anything the rest of them do, the institution has big problems.
I think the speculation gets wild again if Kate is not actually in public by June. Charles returning to work makes her absence for more than another month or two just inexcusable. How long of a course of preventative treatment is she supposedly receiving?
Agreed – the cancer video bought them some time but there’s only so long before the speculation resumes.
I agree with commenters on other posts that the entire thing only makes some sort of sense if it was William refusing to publicly disclose the cancer because the separation/divorce is difficult to land as a ‘family man’ with cancer in the picture. Explains the mystery, the stubbornness, the impression that W and K were not on the same team, explains maybe why Kate didn’t want to play ball, explains not revealing the cancer at earlier stages of the speculation, etc etc.
and they only have themselves to blame. they release a video in which she makes clear that she HAD cancer and seems worn but fine. and they are still pretending bouncy girl from the farm stand is her. chuckles actually has cancer and continues to work despite looking pretty terrible. but sure, poor kkkate needs more time to do nothing (and she’s soooo strong, y’all).
I think Kate has been sick for a while. The janky wigs suggest she underwent chemo prior to surgery to shrink a tumor or tumors. Post surgery showed there was still cancer present. My guess is she has ovarian cancer, which can have a very long treatment timeline.
@Megan – If true, they really, truly botched everything unless they are purposely making her out to be lazy and entitled. And I’m incredulous that she was working while receiving chemo and losing her hair. She just doesn’t have that in her.
I think if she’s not at Trooping the speculation will increase again. For as significant an event as that is, it is also fairly low effort for her – she doesn’t have to meet people, no mingling with the public, she rides in a carriage and then appears on the balcony and then is done. That seems do-able so like I said if she’s not there, I think people will start wondering where she is again.
Speculation may be going up but I can actually see them trying to ride it out. I can see her not attend Trooping and then William goes on vacation bc it’s the kids summer break. They’re brazen sometimes.
That’s what I’ve noticed too. That the where-is-Kate speculation isn’t being covered by mainstream media, doesn’t main the tree isn’t falling.
Depending on the type and stage of cancer, treatment can go on for months. (I have a family member who is currently undergoing 14 rounds of chemo scheduled over a span of seven months.) Whatever is going on with Kate, I have a feeling she will be out of commission for a very long time, if not indefinitely.
Isn’t it likely to do the reverse as people compare comms and wonder how Kate is responding to treatment and when she will also begin a phased return to work? Or are they banking on the public forgetting her if she’s not mentioned and William doesn’t make any reference to her in public?
Agree. KC returning to work would put more pressure on Kate. If a 70 something man is doing well enough during his cancer treatment to return to public work, why can’t a 40 something woman who had cancer and is getting preventative chemo be seen? Kate’s diagnosis and recovery makes absolutely no sense in comparison to Charles.
It’s part of what makes this whole thing so weird. I know some think that the timing of Charles’ hospitalization and his cancer diagnosis was cover for Kate, but if it was, then it was a bad cover because it just highlighted how weird KP is being.
now, BP’s announcement that charles is returning to work seems like a very pointed dig at William AND at Kate, which goes against the narrative of how much he supports her and how proud he is of her.
My thing has always been that Camilla and Charles do seem to make digs at William and Kate. Why would they do that to a seriously ill woman? You’d think even they, as horrible as they are, would not do that.
I continue to be mildly confused that someone who HAD cancer and is having preventative treatment needs more time off and privacy than someone currently treating active cancer? Not suggesting preventative chemo is a walk in the park, but just confused at the difference is what’s expected for each of them. I also appreciate the element of managing the whole situation with young children but… still doesn’t really explain a lot about the entirely different approaches to apparently similar situations.
There doesn’t appear to be any pressure on Kate at all post cancer video, so this sounds like a light touch way of messaging ‘thank god Kate won’t be pressured to work anytime soon as Charles will instead’ to the public, e.g. ‘don’t ask when Kate and Will will work again cos we have the King back now’
I agree 100% here. Having been through active cancer treatment (whole meal deal. chemo, rads and surgery) — the one thing that Kate has over Charles is youth. Younger cancer patients can withstand the treatment with more resiliency because their bodies are younger and less chance at other underlying complications. I was in my late 40s and in ICU and hiking in the forest a month later… so I am not buying anything what the British press is selling.
@EasternViolet — me too. Am currently recovering from a complex cystectomy, total bladder removal and bowel resectioning, am facing radiation shortly, and yet here I am, going out to dinner with friends, shopping, cooking, doing my daily walks, and I’m 71. Not buying anything the BM is selling either.
Glad you’re doing so well, @Jaded; you, too, @EasternViolet! And this, I think, is where KP miscalculated so badly. We all know SO MANY PEOPLE who have cancer of one sort or another, or have known someone who has had cancer, and none of what they’re doing or saying rings true.
@Jaded: wow, you have had an ordeal. I wish you continued recovery. Take care.
For what it’s worth, I have a relative who is currently going through something similar. She is in her early 60s. Cancer was detected, and she has undergone successful surgery to have the tumor removed. However, the type of cancer she had is extremely prone to recurrence, so she’ll spend the next few months undergoing chemo, even though her cancer is technically “gone”. She will lose her hair, and probably a fair bit of weight.
For someone like Kate, whose appearance is SO closely scrutinized, I am not surprised that she’s keeping an extremely low profile. Let’s be honest: no one is going to notice (or care) if Charles loses some weight or hair. But for Kate, those would be a BIG DEAL, so I think that’s why her recovery is following a different path than the king’s.
Based on others’ cancer treatment, her story still doesn’t wash. There’s plenty that she can do while receiving treatment. We aren’t getting the “working from bed” stories even. None of this makes any sense unless she’s worse off than she said or there’s some darker side to all of this like the speculation of DV. The press can wish that everyone will focus on KFC but that won’t work for long. We’re keeping the light on over here.
I really don’t understand why the British press is so willing to go along with propping up Pegs and his clear incompetence. Those “news” organizations should be embarrassed and ashamed of their pathetic ass-kissing and lack of any real questioning of the royal family. Even assuming what KP says about Keen is true (it’s not) there is NO EXCUSE for Huevo to be completely absent from public life and his “work.” The papers should be banging on about that daily. It’s pathetic and embarrassing and all they’re doing is ruining their own reputations to cover for an incompetent prince and his disappeared wife.
I was thinking about that commenter last week who was saying that Fleet St. is not concerned about Kate because although her issues are “multi-pronged”, in the end she’ll be fine and besides, she’s constitutionally irrelevant. Thus, they aren’t touching the story.
Her disappearance spawned world-wide interest, but the local folks on the ground there don’t see it as a story anymore. Since when have the British press been solely concerned only about issues of constitutional relevancy where the royals are concerned? KP gave us photoshop and body doubles but the peasants are the ones who have to check their consciences for calling out the fakery. Obviously the press has been fed a story about Kate’s supposed true condition, but why they would swallow it? Would William really let them be privy to the truth? I doubt it.
I literally LOL at the idea that no one is worried in the media because she has no constitutional role. As if all of the media are making editorial decisions together in one room unconcerned with getting scoops.
the media is only concerned about making money. obviously, British media is hampered by agreements to fawn over William and Kate, which is more to the point because there is nothing to fawn over now that they’re MIA AI Wales.
The legitimate British press’ hands off coverage of someone taking so much public money is giving Kim Jong Un palace again. This isn’t normal.
That comment didnt really make sense to me bc like you said – when has the British press been concerned about constitutional relevancy? Just imagine that H&M were still working royals and this was all happening re: Meghan. The british press would be unhinged with demands to see her, etc. The constitutional relevancy of Kate (or lack thereof) isn’t why the press is laying off this story.
I took that comment to mean the press agreed upon this angle as a general explanation/excuse because digging into Kate’s story would make problems for themselves as Charles and William (and their henchmen) would enact reprisals against them if they carried any water for Kate.
As for what is going on with Kate, and with their relationship (other than the obvious disgust he has for her in public): a lot of people claim to have some sort of inside track. They may, but I question more and more how many people have the real true gen story about what is going on with Kate. I think its kryptonite for the RF and I think they have covered it up all along and let those closer know a part of the story but not all the story. So part of the story leaked out and there are a lot of folks out there who know something, and think they have the whole story, but they don’t. Excepting Mary P of course who doesn’t claim to have the whole story and has good tea to share from time to time,
@underhill I said something similar a few weeks ago. There are a lot of posters here who say they have insider knowledge but that knowledge all conflicts so some of them – all of them? – are lying, making it up, whatever. I mean in the past month, 6 weeks we have heard from people that she’s on Mustique, that she’s dead, that she’s at Balmoral, that she’s in a coma, that Louis broke her legs (remember that one lol), etc – and these things are all said with absolute conviction.
I don’t think anyone posting here really knows anything about this particular situation.
It’s a perfectly reasonable comment because it’s factual. Kate is married to the future King. She can never have that constitutional role, save when acting as CoS and there are others. She’s dispensable. Maybe someone from the UK can chime in. All I know is that in Australia, the only married-in who was really of interest was Diana. Meghan didn’t get the chance to make an impact.
@esquire – yes, its true she doesn’t have a constitutional role and is dispensable from that perspective. But when has the British press ever used constitutional relevancy as a litmus test of who is worth reporting on? That’s the part that wasn’t reasonable. Meghan has even LESS of a constitutional role than Kate, considering she’s not the future queen and isn’t the mother of the FFK, but the british press still can’t keep her names out of their mouths.
To be the tiniest, most undeservingly bit generous: if someone is working on a deep dive investigation of this, we wouldn’t know. That reporter would be in the midst of meticulous fact-checking, because they’d be sued and ruined if they didn’t get it perfectly right.
But all these fluff pieces we get in the meantime are easy to churn out. There are no facts to check. It’s all feelings and vibes. English and Vine and whoever else just write glorified blog posts under the guise of news. Woodward and Bernstein they are not. They’re just catty gossipers who love feeling in the know and important because they’re sad, small and proudly incurious. Just like their faves…
Just waiting for the “she took a turn for the worse” narrative/articles to begin, because they are literally running a media blackout in Britain on her for a reason.
Absolutely. There will be a ‘sad & sudden deterioration’ announcement after which they’ll state the princess spent her final months privately with her children.
All of which is spin.
Yep. I wonder if the public will ever find out what happened to her.
My thoughts are that when the kids school year ends we might get some form of the truth, and probably when they will give us a dire prognosis.
Morbidly, I expect to see the death announcement whenever I open the news. Not that I wish that on her, it’s just the impression that their silence creates.
It also feels pointed to say she needs peace and quiet right now, instead of just privacy, or rest.
I agree with all of you. How long can the RF conceal the truth?
How long is string? To get four months out with no one going after these fake photos and no one touching the cancer video (who was the producer? The hair and makeup? Lighting? Grip? Audio specialist? Camera person? Post production? Surely there are production credits for a BBC Studios video?) is far longer than I would have thought for one of the most prominent public facing members of the BRF. They got this far, they might get all the way to December and mumble mouth about how ‘isn’t it a shame Princess Catherine can’t do the Christmas walk …’ like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouth!
This is where I am, too. The fake photo/video bonanza seemed like it was attempting to prove that Kate was okay, but then the turn in seriousness of the announcement video and the radio silence ever since are painting a pretty dire picture.
Unless she’s literally in hiding trying to run out the clock of Charles’ prognosis so Will can’t get rid of her before she’s queen, or in emergency Keen to be Queen lessons ala Eliza Doolittle, it’s really not looking good for her.
I agree, I do wonder if she’s still in England or had been out of the country at some point during all this. Some kind of visible incapacity, stroke damage, some kind of disfigurement, would be a reason to keep her under wraps and avoid scrutiny of what put her in that condition. My thoughts run your way UNDERHILL, whatever is going on with her KP has hit upon their ‘tidy solution’ going forward.
I expected to see some casual sightings of Kate once the ice was broken and the public knew what she was going through regarding cancer being present. Maybe a posed photo thanking the public for the outpouring of support? A staged drive through London as brave Kate waves to the lucky passerbys? The secret is out; now we can all act normal, right? But five and a half weeks later she is still as missing and as silent as she was before the cancer video.
Each of these is entirely plausible. More so than KPs series of fake photos & videos suggest.
The problem for them is this isn’t something that most people don’t know how it goes. Plenty of people either have had cancer themselves or have have family members with it, and know that you can still work and do other things while going through treatment. So her basically retiring to her fainting couch like this is the Regency era, becomes very bizarre for people. Then the question becomes you can’t do even Zoom meetings or small carefully vetted appearances? You just can’t do anything for six or seven months? Then are you much more ill than you’re letting on? And then you can’t get mad about the speculation then because those are all reasonable questions.
Yeah, all of this.
At least three people in my immediate family have had cancer (different types, diagnosed at different stages), with different treatments, etc. That is why I know that if Kate was able to sit and smile, she would have. I seriously doubt she is able to. This inablity has nothing to do with C treatment.
Cancer is just a convenient excuse to brush off questions because it’s incredibly insensitive to question anything to do with C treatment.
It’s likely that is what a lot of the general public think too.
Exactly. They lurch from ‘She’s fine! to ‘She can’t do a thing!’ with dizzying rapidity. Merely a week before the cancer video announcement – and therefore after Kate herself told us she had had her diagnosis – she was bouncing about outside Windsor Farm shop carrying what looked like a pretty full carrier bag and the next day we were told she was attending her kids’ ‘sports’ matches.
Now they’re saying there’s not even a PLAN for her to return to any duties. That suggests that the actual plan is …to not ever return to duties.
I had forgotten the smug “we all see her at sporting events people here just don’t make a big deal out of it” articles in the series before the cancer announcement.
So we’re all of those people lying? And if not, why is Katie doing private events around other people but refusing to even pose for a photo or wave or do a zoom for the public as a taxpayer funded person?
The audacity to have a fake Kate and William show up at a farmer’s market lugging bags, then to backtrack to “oh she has cancer and can’t do anything” really chaps my a$$. All the blatantly false photos and videos really are a slap in the face to the public who pay for her luxe existence. I still maintain she’s left William or he pushed her out after some catastrophic event and is holding out for a handsome settlement, cancer or no cancer.
Jaded, are we sure that it was a fake William?
Not sure Proud Mary — it could very well be the real one trying to pull a fast one that turned out to be another ham-fisted, rake-stepping, shoot-yourself-in-the-foot moment for ole’ cue ball head.
One hundred percent agree. Said something similar just above.
Queen Silvia of Sweden was seen with a bloody red eye when the Finnish state visit to Sweden began a few days ago. She turned up.
So unless the Duchess of Cambringe turns up in a 30-button blazer over tight jeggings, dragging her three children behind her, then I think she’s either unalive or has serious cognitive issues and is unable to perform her royal duties.
Now more than ever, I think she’s going full Greta Garbo. The marriage is over, and Kate is totally out.
SALADSPINNER, that’s what I think, too. She has power by saying she’s not doing ANYTHING for the brf until she has what she wants from a divorce. I know a lot of people don’t agree with that, but that’s what I think. Could she also be getting treatment for an ED? Sure, If so, I suspect it’s being done in the UK.
You break it, you buy it.
The royals and the ratchets got ride of their moneymakers, and now they get to live with the consequences. The voted for the Leopards Eating Faces party and now they have to pretend that they love getting their faces ate.
I love it for the ratchets who have ass-kissed their way out of a long-term job. The job of royal ratchet is on the endangered species list: no need for a rota pack if the royals don’t do anything. Even stenographers need to have something to stenograph.
Careful, ratchets who lurk here: your desperation is showing!
William’s getting the Duchy of Cornwall money and totally controlling the purse strings has not gone well for Kate. I’m wondering which international media outlet is going to blow their access to the BRF for a generation or more and let us know what is really going on.
fascinating question. I think if they could have, they would have. The truth has layers here, and at the center of the onion, is something that went on between two people only…not sure very many people know the whole truth.
I can’t stand the “access” argument, because it’s not as if they have any to begin with! KP works with People magazine and that’s it. Others like (CarolE) might leak to some other tabloids, but even when W&K are in the US, it’s not as if they sit for interviews for the love of god.
And the access argument also leaves out the fact that the royals NEED the press. They can’t just ban all international press on their events because they need the coverage. What’s the point in them doing anything if it’s not covered by the media? If a tree falls down in a forest and nobody hears it, etc.
It’s so frustrating. It made a tiny bit of sense that Amy Robach made that comment about killing the Andrew story in order to maintain access to W&K because she said that years ago, when maybe they still expected to get more from W&K. But it’s now absolutely clear that W&K are never going to give ANYONE “access” so what’s stopping media organizations from publishing the truth? It would make them so. much. money.
And I know W&K have their deal with the British media, but at some point, the press has got to revolt, because W&K are giving them NOTHING to work with, nothing at all. They can print all of the negative sh!t they want about William and he’s still going to be the monarch, the monarchy isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and he and the other family members are still going to need the British press to cover their engagements. What are they so scared of??
Lorelei I wonder the exact same thing. But I imagine the levers of power can be pulled to intimidate and blacklist anyone who wants to rock the boat
It sounds incredible but might with the return of KC, is it possible that Will is going to revive his original plan of a sabbatical with Kate? William has had a serious wobble at just even the THOUGHT of being King early so clearly needs a break alongside his fragrant spouse to rest, recover and regain his equilibrium? Given how cowed the BM have been since the bench video it may embolden William to go on a year long sabbatical without facing any scrutiiny because it is for family reasons?
I think the King coming back puts more pressure on Kate, if an elderly man who has got cancer and is having chemo can come back then why can’t a middle aged women who hasn’t got cancer but it getting chemo just in case.
There hasn’t been any pressure on Kate. Now that they’ve invited a comparison to the elderly king, there should be.
He still has his hair so I don’t think he’s getting chemo, perhaps radiation and immunotherapy. However, I think the pressure on Kate is to work out an acceptable divorce settlement and make up some mutually agreed-upon cover story about how her cancer diagnosis has made her rethink her priorities and she has chosen to retire from royal life to focus on her kids. But whatever she has on William is BIG and I’m sure she’s holding that over his head like the sword of Damocles.
He probably isn’t in chemo treatment, because of his love of natural or holistic cure; however, because of oncological advancements, I do not believe that loss of hair is currently a necessary consequence of chemotherapy.
The pressure is on the BM, not Kate. They rolled over and played dead as soon as the cancer video came out. Now here’s an another excuse for them to keep playing dead. But social media isn’t going to let up on the pressure.
Personally, I think that Kate will never return to “full-time royal work”. Sure, she’ll come back at some point this year or next but her engagements will be few and far between until, poof, no more. I think that both her and William will use this as an excuse for years to come.
And the press will continue being wary of criticising her. William, not so much.
My step father had rheumatoid arthritis, & part of the treatment was a weekly dose of tamoxifen.
Tuesday night he took it, he was out all Wednesday. Thursday was quiet but eating, up & about.
By Friday, he was ok (considering).
But he was in his 70’s, also had Parkinson’s, & he still functioned.
What in the world could be more dire for a healthy 40 year old that she can’t even perform 1 event by zoom a week?
She’s lazy, which we know, but they’re lying about her still.
I’ve been chuckling that Kate is probably on Tamoxifen.
Most women on it swallow the pill every day for FIVE YEARS with little or no problem (the protocols for rheumatoid arthritis are way different obviously).
So, is Billy’s spouse going to hide out for half a decade because she has to swallow a pill? Must be nice!
Personally, I don’t think that’s the problem. I think he did something and she CAN’T be seen….but time will tell.
I think one of the biggest tells that something is seriously wrong with Kate easy to miss: especially since the O interview, Kate has appointed herself Meghan’s foil. Her game plan has been to follow every Meghan public appearance with one of her own, in which Kate blatantly copies Meghan’s outfits. When Meghan showed up in Vancouver with neither a peep from Kate, I knew something was desperately wrong.
Proud Mary, I’m just throwing stuff out–do you think it’s the grey men who have pushed her to do this? It appears to me when I see her in public that she doesn’t enjoy it at all.
Yes, I have considered that the men-in-grey required it of her. But the problem is that Kate ingratiated herself to those people as the mute woman who will only ask one question when told to jump: “how high?” I have come to believe that her subservient attitude probably has taken it’s toll. I think Meghan, not only being assertive, but also having the most loyal and loving of the two brothers, made Kate alter her course. Perhaps this is part of the reason for the fights between her and William. He left her hanging for 7 years, until she could prove that she would be the docile wife, and now she wants to be Meghan. No way an incandescent, pompous William will allow a doormat to stand up to him.
This is the first time any UK rag has used the word “preventative” when talking about Kate and her pills. It’s always been “you can’t mention our white heroine as she’s” battling “cancer. Has they sea change started??
Charles is worse than a lot of people think, he’s going through what is known as” the bloom “, just you wait and see.
There are going to be a lot more stories coming out over the next month or so, especially when Billy starts spending so much more time at KP. Questions are going to be asked and, if she’s able, bone needs to be seen very soon.
Personal note, sorry if you were worried my friends, had a few dodgy days, no visitors allowed apart from nurse as I couldn’t keep anything down so had to give injections as pain relief and needed lots and lots of sleep, but I’m back for a little while xoxo
Oh, dear, I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Praying for your health and comfort. I thought about your tea when I saw she moved back in with her parents.

@Jaded you can teach Kate a thing or two about bravery. Sending you both good wishes and healing prayers.
It’s always good to hear from you, Mary P. You’re very much missed when you’re not around.
So happy to see you posting again @Mary Pester 💜🌸🌸
Welcome back, Mary P. This place isn’t the same without you, so glad you’re back.
The royal rota are just stenographers.
She is *not* dead, y’all. There’s no reason to hide her death for months even if Will killed her in a fit of rage. They could just say she died of a blood clot and move on. Plus, if they were hiding her death, Will wouldn’t have been out in public with George.
I say it again: look at the pic they banned from being shown in Britain. That car in the Carole pic was a rental. She is away. Getting treatment for something or simply done with her a-hole husband.
Agreed, not dead. I’m sure as in most countries not reporting a death is illegal.
This is just dumb. Do they think we’re all that dumb? Kate has never been a substitute for Charles, so Charles doing something next week isn’t taking any kind of pressure off Kate. And Charles has been out & about all this time, so the press is really splitting some very fine hairs with this.
Seriously, now-do English people really believe this twaddle about how brave and wonderful the royals are? I read the piece and I could barely stop myself from gagging on it.
Am I the only one who wonders if there would be a miracle healing should, god forbid, Wills have to step up NOW or in the nearer future. Do I believe she would let that opportunity slip? No.
I wish her the best. This disease is hard on everyone, whatever stage of life, but she has a young family, whereas Charles is of a different age with possibly fewer concerns. What do I think of her? She’s not my favourite person in the world but she deserves kindness at this time.
Assuming that the diagnosis was the truth, which I doubt. It’s really hard to wish someone the best when they have been so vague about what they are suffering with.
The standards applied for royals are non-existent no matter what we are talking about. They blind sycophancy surrounding them is servility, lacking in any professional, objective assessment.
But I apply the same standards to them as I do anyone else in public office, which should be the case for royals. That is, if you want sympathy, I need more than just your basic word, which is meaningless in the current climate.
Charles is different because as HoS, he would not lie about this. He’s never shirked from duties. Plus, he looks gravely ill.
My only comment in this whole “Kate has cancer and won’t be seen in public for months” is: why the hell can’t WILLIAM work? Is there any reason (besides the ever so important school run) that he can’t pull up his socks and do some of the work that Kate usually does? I just can’t imagine angry, incandescent William sitting by her bedside holding her hand throughout this entire situation.
Absolutely zero chance that Kate wants a divorce. If there’s a divorce, it’ll be because William wants it. Kate and her mother have invested too much in her wearing the crown. She will endure a loveless marriage for the privilege.
