The cover story on the latest National Enquirer is about Jennifer Aniston’s quest to adopt a baby. They say she already has the adoption process underway for a baby boy and “has been telling pals she’ll be bringing home a newly adopted son by Christmas.” Although this could just be wishful thinking on someone’s part, the Enquirer has enough supporting details to suggest this story is true. Aniston is said to have ordered renovations on her home that include a nursery, and she already has a name picked out for the boy:
The 39-year-old “Friends” beauty has shifted Operation Baby into high gear - building a $300,000 nursery, buying baby clothes and telling pals she’ll be bringing home a newly adopted son by Christmas…
And although Jennifer has at least three more films in various stages of preproduction, “her free time is devoted to finding the perfect little boy,” says her friend.
“Jen picked a name for her son from her Greek roots. She decided to name him Alexander - which means defender of men.
“She jokes that he’ll grow up to be the best divorce attorney in Hollywood…”
The Enquirer has learned the actress already has met with architects to begin further renovations on her fabulous $15 million Beverly Hills home.
“She scrapped a planned office and is instead converting the space into a first-floor nursery for her baby.”

The Enquirer says that Aniston’s good friend Sheryl Crow, who adopted a baby boy as a single mom, was a large influence in her decision to chose adoption. They also say that despite Aniston’s busy career she thinks the time is now and plans to have help and bring the baby on set with her.
As for the story that Aniston suffered a miscarriage during her marriage to Brad, that isn’t backed up by much information and may or may not be true:
“During Jen’s marriage to Brad she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage,” the friend continued. “Although she was able to pick up the pieces and move on, Jen has never forgotten how close she was to fulfilling her lifelong dream - becoming a mother.”

The article goes on to quote the same “insider” as saying that “Jen is happy for [her ex husband] Brad, but she thinks how he’s gone about building a family is weird. She believes he and Angelina have expanded their family way too fast.”
We’ll have to see if any of this is true and if Aniston is actually adopting. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this rumor, and it doesn’t sound likely to me given her work schedule. She just started her own production company and has a lot of projects coming up. Her career does offer more flexibility and ability to be with her baby than most working mothers, and more power to her if she’s made the decision to adopt.

I never believe anything regarding Aniston anymore. Although the nursery in her previous home (with Brad) would support the notion that she wants children, and miscarriages are pretty common. But still, the tabs know that she sells, so I won’t believe anything said about her.

I love Jen & if she is adopting, I’m happy for her. And I agree, the tabloids still paint her as the victim. She’s even said she is not a victim & was sick of being in the “twisted Brad/Angelina Bermuda Triangle”. She’s proven to be a strong woman & seems genuinely nice.

The more you talk about how Aniston wouldn’t get or can’t get pregnant therefore it is justified for Brad Pitt to take a younger woman who was willing to “give him babies”, the more I feel Brad Pitt is a very bad man.
Marriage in modern times should not only be about babies. Maybe Aniston has difficulties to get pregnant.
I don’t understand the triangle affairs too much before. But now I don’t think Brad Pitt is a nice man.

Brad is trying to fulfill a role, what people expect, wearing other peoples clothes using other peoples images, there is NOTHING sincere about his character. NOTHING. She didn’t want kids because she knew he was fake. Then after she realised she created a divorce like her parents she became stuck. That is where she is…. stuck in her problems, self destruction (cigs, booze, weed) and her fruitless career goal to beat “the man” at his job : movies. That is what drives her. Revenge against her father created inside, from a young age by her mother. She is painful on the inside.

She could be checking herself into psych wards cos a man wont be with her or she could be frenching her siblings in public, self mutiliating or taking heroin and LSD but no, stone the woman or fire up the electric chair, SHE SMOKES!!!

well, you learn something everyday! these last posts have been a real revelation to me! of course! it was a ‘career move marriage’, not the typical tinsletown showy ‘dime a dozen’ lurrve ceremony that i thought it was. i still maintain that brad always wanted babies, though.
it’s just too true that she’s still in the game to compete. she’s really not worth all the money she earns - a VERY mediocre lightweight actress, who is quite unremarkable to look at, also. how does she manage to demand $$millions a movie?
here’s a woman (or should i say, ‘girl’) who ‘has it all’, yet has nothing.
she’s got big emotional probs, IMO and isn’t ready or able to settle down with a partner and have kids. i’m aware that she seems to have made a choice of career over family - it’s HER business as to why.
as for brad, yep, i agree, he seems rather superficial, but he also seems to be enjoying doing something philanthropic for the world and being a ‘present’ father. he’s always with the kids - i think he truely loves them.

She grew up in a household where she was a placebo man, to replace her father in her mothers life. She never wanted to be married to the fake actor >BUT< because EVERYONE told her it’s the best thing, she did, and she INTENTIONALLY blew it, following her mother’s example and her own misguided direction towards career she discovered that she hated him. The whole thing was a fake so she killed it when it got too close. Now she is stuck. She is cruel and bitter to the men closest to her, by her mothers example of how to behave to her marriage partner. Men are a game for cash. Something to be played with at arms length. Not humans. Objects. She never really loved her ex, she loved his power and feeling important and gaining a LOT of praise for doing nothing of any real value. Brad sensed that and that is another thing he hated about her and gave him more reasons to leave. Now she is stuck. Her game of deferment, putting her energy into other things (career, being the performing TV celeb, sucking up false praise, acting like a clown, smart ass, pretty teenager)….anything apart from being a woman, being a mother, being honest, having a natural real family and having true love and depth in her life ….which her mother divorced from…… ..is blown. Her lie became a mess. CC is used to replace her mother in this situation, even though CC doesn’t know that, and that is why they are so close.

I never believe anything regarding Aniston anymore. Although the nursery in her previous home (with Brad) would support the notion that she wants children, and miscarriages are pretty common. But still, the tabs know that she sells, so I won’t believe anything said about her.
