  1. Being in the fashion business, I can say that the DVB line is just a flop.
It’s not selling because it looks cheap. The quality isn’t bad and I was positively surprised on closer inspection, but the overall look is not good for that price tag.

Her jeans would sell a lot better if they were 75 to 100$ cheaper. They would fit that range of jeans and appeal to the right public.

For 250, I’d take a pair of the Armani Jeans line for example.
Or a pair of Superfine skinny jeans (which Victoria does promote very well accidently although it doesn’t benefit her).

  3. So she has this Jean line with HER NAME on it and she refuses to do promotion for it.. Okay
does anyone else notice that all these celebrites who have clothes purses bags shoes lines are rarely photographed wearing their OWN NAME shit. If they don’t want to wear it or promote their own design label but they expect you to buy it?? If their own name shit is not good enuf for them to wear why should the public buy it?

  4. What IS it with these people? I can’t even count all the B list celebrities who suddenly have “fashion lines.” Puhleeze, give me a break, your stuff is shite just like everything else, but you think you can get more money for it.

    People aren’t THAT stupid.

  5. Only to burn them before your disbelieving eyes, my little chemically tanned alien blow-up doll. 250 dollars for jeans? I better be able to dance like Ginger Rogers just by wearing them.

  6. i saw a girl on the subway a year or more ago wearing the jeans and i remember going “wow those are some nice jeans” maybe they looked particularly good on this person i don’t know but i remember thinking they were really nice. But i usually wont shell out more than 75 bucks for a pair of jeans.

  7. Well, AC, the VDB line does give a great shape (that is, if you’re a on the slender side).
I can’t help but defend Beckham’s jeans line as they are way nicer and better than most of the other “celebrity” clothing lines.

Again, they are of good quality and great design regarding giving you nice and long legs but they are just too expensive for the public they are supposed to appeal to.

Also, Victoria Beckham is seen wearing her own jeans occasionly.
I wouldn’t compare her line with most of the other stars’ clothing ranges.

  11. I only wear Lucky’s that I buy off ebay. Anyone trying to finagle more than 45 bucks out of me for a pair of jeans can suck it.

  12. daisy,

If your question was meant for me then here’s what I think of Gwen Stefani’s line. Some pieces are on the ugly side, I must confess… But most of it is delightful and truly playful.

L.A.M.B.’s line always has more classy pieces too with a wicked pattern or what should be a detail worked as a “center piece”. The knitwear range always has very nice sweaters and jumpers.

Quality wise, it’s not bad at all, at all.

Gwen’s clothing line ALWAYS has something that blows me away but is entirely and completely wearable.
If you should invest in one thing, I’d definitely say her jackets, coats and blazers are fun yet stylish and chic.

Gwen Stefani is among the celebrities who have made it in the fashion industry (well, for the moment, at least).

  14. not only are they an ugly pair of jeans but they look horrible on her. SHe should not wear anything with flares…..stick to skinny jeans they don’t make you look so skeletal!

  15. Her jeans are even more expensive here in the UK, they’re like £250 (which is about $500!!!!!!) They were popular for a while but I think even the richies got sick of them, I haven’t seen them in Harrods or Selfridges for ages.

Granted they are cute, but no pair of jeans is worth $500 unless it comes with free liposuction…

  18. For someone who could never spend all of thier money in a lifetime should donate a good portion of thier money to foster children. My daughter and I raise eight foster children in Louisiana and since hurricane Katrina so many funds have been cut. These are forgotten children. Since Katrina we have fostered over 75 children. There are so few homes they have no place to go. Why not consider donating some of that revenue to someone who is happy to get second hand jeans from Goodwill. The next time you spend money so carelessly think of these five girls
