I’m glad she was open with her fans. I would have also dragged them through the mud as you said Celebitchy. She is such a beautiful woman. I just can’t see why people don’t appreciate what they have. I wish her nothing but the best in the future. She’s a strong person, she will get through this.

Can’t say I like her pseudo-pop approach to country, but I like her character. Why anyone in their right mind would let her get away, is beyond me. I know the whole ‘grass is greener for men’ argument, but come on!

I know everyone will fall all over themselves with pity for her but I have none. There are two sides to every story.
Ever wonder why she would want to spill the beans? Because the first one that speaks gets to set the tone for the appearance of things. If she just kept it to herself people would gossip but they would not know the details. But being a celebrity and interested in getting attention to her future album she wants you to know, rather, she wants you to know HER side of it, and thus not get hurt in the process.
I can feel sorry for her that her marriage didn’t work out but I will not swallow all of this as the gospel truth either. The public seems to have not learned anything about celebrity divorces.

I can’t help but wonder if all this candor isn’t an attempt to boost her profile for a come back CD.
I still think as screwy as her husband might have been, she should have taken her son’s feelings into consideration before being so open about this.

Not everyone, JMO. I’m not interested enough in her for that. And I take your point about her setting the scene.
I’m curious too at her need to speak to her fans about it in such a woe-is-me drama-queenish way. Kind of OTT? Not saying she’s not broken-hearted or anything, but the content just seems to be a little bit too staged and carefully chosen? All I’m saying is, if I were as broken-hearted as she claims to be, I’d leave a short statement, saying something along the lines of ‘it’s not a good time for me but I appreciate your support’ and leave it at that. Too cynical?

I think it’s just her way of expressing her sadness at Mutt’s betrayal. Not everyone does it the same way.

For heaven sake how many more times to we have to read about the fake story of her growing up poor…she was no different than any other kid growing up in that area so say the locals….she said they used to eat mustard sandwiches..locals say she brought a lunch to school every day like everyone else..she slept with all the right people to get where she got..no talent…

why direct nasty comments at shania? she didn’t mention being poor, she doesn’t even mention her husband. the blog did. “I am going through a rough time personally in my life and I need some time to heal this broken heart.” Can SHE help it if blogs and tabs “keep bringing up” her past?

Oh if you all only knew the truth about this woman. Don’t feel bad for her. Be happy for her husband. Someone here wrote this is all about PR for the new CD coming out. Nail. On. The. Head. Her boo hoo story about her past. Don’t think even half of it is true. Don’t feel bad for her.

remember it takes to two to tango….when one person in the marriage gets frigid the other will eventually start looking.. and Shania is a virgo and Mutt is a scorpio….

I have nothing but extreme respect for celebrities who show appreciation and respect to their fans like Shania has! She is soo beautiful, now she can find a man who is so much more deserving of her! to bad Brad Pitt isn’t single, she always liked him!

I feel for her, I just broke up with a guy takes betrayal to a whole new level. Yeah, two sides to every story, but in a case like this, it’s his lies vs. her reality. My ex has his version too. He justifies his cheating by saying he didn’t do it. All he did was talk to other women! Right, and all Mutt and her friend did was talk too. Please, there was no talking involved!

I’ve never been a fan of hers. I find her music monotonous. However, I will admit she has a very nice voice and she is very beautiful. And if her husband cheated on her with someone that was ’supposed’ to be a trusted friend, then I’m definitely TEAM SHANIA!

In years to come when he is diagonised with athritis she will be glad she found a younger man. Time heals.

I saw her in concert during her Come On Over tour…she’s a very talented entertainer.

Had one of Shania’s songs as my first dance song at my wedding. She always reminds of that brilliant day. I wish her all the best and hope that she finds her soul mate.

I’m actually related to her (distant relative, but I know a lot of people who grew up with her). I don’t know much about her, but I know she has been horrible to her family since she became famous. I’m sure what she’s going through isn’t easy, but I have NO respect for her. I avoid the stuff about her past because it angers me. I’m sure some of the things she says are true, but she probably embellishes.

I know there’s been controversy over her past but Shania has always seemed nice to her fans and that ought to count for something. She still is a very beautiful woman so I’m sure once she gives her heart time to heal she’ll find love again.

Sugar-daddy marriages never work out long term. Mutt pursued her, won her, had phenomonal success with their musical collaborations, went into seclusion to save her marriage, had a son to save their marriage, then divorce.

I have learned to say to me that I’ve got to lose what I condemn. A few months ago I was at the verge of divorce with my wife. I received one DVD from my uncle’s daughter who lives in US. I live in Tehran, Iran. I didn’t know who was that nightingale singer. Later I found that her name was Shania Twain.
I realized that one should beware of their having and if I search for inner-peace, I should find it within me. Every one can have a “can do” attitude. After all, after hearing songs of the “Live in Chicago” I decided to be as much reconciliatory and generous as I could. So I ended up finding faults with my wife and I decided to take the joy and advantage of having a life-time wife.
As I was searching for some lyrics of Shania through the web, I found this news about her. It hit me very strongly. I feel now like owing my serenity to that great singer.

I think she should be truthful with her fans & since this will be Mutt’s 3rd divorce, I don’t think he’s big on commitment. She’s my favorite female country singer so now, she might have time to put a cd out. When her parents were killed, she had very little money but decided to raise her brothers until they were of age. She’s had to be strong in the past & she will be again.

all i can say is my husband says mutt has to be crazy to cheat on shania he had it all and lost it all in a roll of a dice but my uncle says we need to teat famous people just like us they dont like be made such a fuss of. i wish shania the best

I’ve always admired her; she has strength, amazing willpower, talent and beauty. Those of you who attack her personally disgust me. God Bless, Shania!! Keep the faith, and let Eja know it wasn’t his fault.

im a single father with a 7 yr.old son and he asks alot of questons about his mom and me,its been hard for him.so just think how hard it will be for shanias kid.my ex cheated alot,shes history…people cheat get over it and love that kid……

I feel people shouldn’t judge her unless they walk a mile in her shoes. It is easy to sit here and say she is a fake and a liar when you have had parents, a childhood, someone to lean on, a comfortable lifestyle. Only she knows what she has been through and it gives no one else the right to put her down. Good luck on “the rest of your life.” And this lady does have talent. She didn’t need Mr. Lang to get where she is today!

God has given you a beautiful voice. You have touched so many people. I also went threw what you are going thru. Don’t hold onto the anger as it will not help you be a loving person/parent that you’ll need to be. Be strong, keep your eyes looking up or you’ll miss what beauty god has created. God will get you thru this. I know you don’t want this but for some reason it wasn’t meant to be. Go ahead allow God to heal your broken heart. Hang in there lady you’ll get thru this.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not a Shania fan.
That being said, I totally appreciate her being forward and upfront with her fans. I think more celebs should be open like that. It’s a PR dream.
