Willow Smith will join Justin Bieber on European tour in March

Willow Smith, who turned 10 a little over a month ago, will be whipping her hair all over Europe when she tours with Justin Bieber early next year. Willow made the announcement on Twitter and her famous parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, are supposedly on board with it. (Her Twitter account is managed by her team.) I know that Willow is very mature and self possessed for her age, but should a ten year old be going on a music tour?

Will Smith’s hair-whippin’ daughter writes that she’s psyched about the prospect of helping spread Bieber Fever across Europe.

“Got news that my big bro @justinbieber invited me on his European Tour in March… so exciting! Maybe I’ll let Jaden come… LOL,” the 10-year-old tweeted Wednesday.

Meanwhile, demand for Willow’s hit single “Whip My Hair” shows no sign of slacking. The starlet tweeted that her song has reached No. 1 on the iTunes UK chart. That’s already after it peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and its official video on YouTube has notched over 24 million views.

Before she and Bieber take over Europe, Willow’s got a performance date on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” December 31 on ABC.

[From ETOnline]

Willow grew up in the business, her parents are world famous movie stars, and she’s been going to movie premieres for years. It still bothers me that a ten year old is going to go on tour. She should be in the fifth grade not touring around the world on stage. Still, she’s an international sensation and she’s making money for a lot of people. When I visited her website, WillowSmith.com, the entire page was in German to match my location. It’s also offered in versions for 16 other countries. Willow is a star, she’s only 10, and she’s not going away. At least she has a strong head on those shoulders.

Here’s Willow performing “Whip My Hair” at the LA Tree Lighting. She can really perform.

Here she is singing at the official lighting of the Christmas Tree in LA on 12/4/10. She’s also shown with her mom and brother at the American Music Awards on 11/21/10. Credit: WENN.com

this wont end well, jada is a recovering alcoholic, so addiction runs in the family… hmmm she only has one single out, i guess she will be covering other people songs

  2. Jackson says:

Yeah, a fifth-grader belongs on tour. Whatever. And what in the hell is that yellow and gray monstrosity she is wearing? If she were older I’d call it tragic, but given her age I’ll just call it a joke.

  3. sickofit says:

please, ten years? child labour is forbidden for a reason in western countries. she should go to school and play with other kids her age.
do the parents want her to end like Michael Jackson did?

  4. Gabriela says:

Gawd go back to playing with your barbies, Willow and Justin! I’m tired of these kids.

  5. bubbles says:

yup, she’ll be a huge star and another Hollywood offspring kid without an education or a childhood. great parenting, but I guess when scientology demands their robots to perform ….

  6. spinner says:

I just want to launch this smug kid into outer space. UGH!!

  7. Stronzilla says:

With one song? She’s going on tour with one song? Please, ‘Whip My hair’ is not exactly the anthem of a generation. Somebody in this scenario got whipped, that’s for sure.

  8. AngelaRae says:

    What an annoying family.

  9. Liana says:

Justin Bieber didn’t “invite her” on his tour, the adults made all the decisions there. At least being on the road for her won’t mean staying in hostels, vans, buses, and crappy places like it does when my husband is on the road.

  10. bagladey says:

That’s obviously why the Smiths were wooing Justin in LA. Maybe I don’t like this family.

  11. Cleo says:

Jaden’s looking very John Legend-y. I can’t believe how long and narrow Willow is. I think Justin Bieber is a really nice boy and this should be a really good experience for her.

  12. Emma says:

Just another Hollywood mom pimping out her kid for more money and fame than they already have. Same story, different people.A kid that young is so vulnerable, so easy of being brainwashed by their parents. One day she’ll regret having given up her adolescent freedoms at such a young age and hopefully she won’t resent her parents for it.

  13. the other mel says:

Both of these Smith kids are going to get on my nerves very, very quickly, and there is only more to come … for probably the rest of my life. Shit.

  14. hellena says:

I seriously doubt a European Tour makes that much sense…Of course The Smiths are a very popular family, but I doubt it extends to his offsprings. Whip My Hair wasn’t such a big of a internet meme here.

  15. gloriaad says:

Poor Justin Bieber, this is a Usher Will Smith plan. This child’s career is all money and influence. Latch on to one of the biggest young stars up and coming. It’s a shame because Justin Biever is really talented and went through the stages to become a young star. It isn’t personal but I heard her song and it is really bad, anybody could sing that song and with mllions behind them could dress the part as they have Willow all decked out in the finest money can buy. Will Smith was supposed to help the young girl on Fresh Prince Of Belair, never did, she had a far better voice than his daughter. Will & Jada, Willow does not have raw talent, she is no
ariah or Aretha all your money and key board input is not going to change that.

  16. loveyourwork says:

Willow Smith will likely have a very lucrative and possibly successful career due to the fact that her parents have huge influence as well as her own ambition and drive.

It’s impressive – and a bit depressing. I mean, she’s average talented, Rihanna talented, and pretty – she will probably do some modeling…but if her parents weren’t Will & Jada (mostly Will, let’s be serious here Jada is not a big STAR)…Willow Smith would be another 10 year old daydreaming about being “someone someday” – and seriously? A TOUR WITH ONE SONG????

  17. wonderwoman21 says:

Oh so the lollipop guild is going on tour

  18. MissyA says:

I thought the Smith’s were smarter than this.
I guess I mistook “intelligence” for “calculating”.

I feel sorry for Willow. Poor girl is going to put Lindsay Lohan to shame.

  19. javagirl1 says:

I like the song except for the”I whip my hair back and forth” screeching.
She’s cute, glad she dresses age appropriate.

  20. Stephy2585 says:

    Ah!
She IS a performer! What a cutie! I really hope this continues being fun for her so we can watch her grow as a performer!

Hair extensions though? I don’t know if I think that’s appropriate..
Although dancers (children included) sometimes have to sport them, right? Hmm.

  21. Randomness says:

    Child Labor Laws? Anyone?

  22. LittleDeadGirl says:

javagirl1: I gotta agree about the clothes at least, they are weird, but she isn’t half naked in a skirt and that’s nice. So I give the Smith’s props on that. I guess she’s going on tour during the summer so she’s not in school anyway but I agree that it’d be better if her parents took her to a more secluded spot where she could just be a kid rather than “a star”.

It’a shame, I took time and enjoyed my childhood. I only had my first date when I was 17 so I def was a late bloomer in the whole “I’m interested in boys” thing but I’m glad I did take my time now cause I can look back and enjoy my childhood through memories rather than too many kids today who think 12 is adult. Can you imagine how much worst it is to be a child in Hollywood … O_O

  23. artista says:

on behalf of North America i apologize.

  24. Kim says:

For a 10 year old from alot of money with access to the best education why does she speak like an uneducated, wanna be, ghetto gangster? NO ONE THINKS A SASSY 10 year old with bad speech is cute or entertaining.

Her parents – i just cant get over their lack of parenting- its insane. She should be doing what other 10 yr old girls are doing, playing Barbies etc. Not trying to be a wanna be rapper or whatever her parents are pushing her to do. Blows my mind her parents are doing this!!!!!

Dont tell me oh she loves doing this. She is singing which most 10 yr old girls like to do.

Just sign the poor thing up for rehab now. Her parents should be ashamed. Someone needs to step in and say she is 10 not 20!

  25. slymm27 says:

    money…..it does change people.

  26. photo jojo says:

Oh this is just seven different kinds of wrong.

  27. missbhaven says:

Really! It is not entirely possible this girl loves to perform and has the opportunity to do it. She looks like she is loving it. As for her education, it is not as if we are batting it out of the park with our schools, if you haven’t noticed. She will probably be better off with private tutors. I think her parents have actually protected her since she does not look like a ten-year-old whore. She could not be more covered up, unlike the little Cyrus. Not every little girl in show business is in it just for the money, never mind that they have plenty.

  28. jover says:

sad to say but those “kids” look so insufferably sefl-absorbed they will never have real friends, just people hanging on to them for influence. Is everyone in hollywood a narcissis?

  29. alisha says:

    hey….. i love jaden smith

  30. lorna says:

i am going to see the both off them and i cant wait and see all yous who think it is a badd idea yous are sad
