John Travolta has dinner with John Gotti Jr.: is someone about to get whacked?

Last night, John Travolta had dinner John Angelo Gotti, son of the late John Gotti (Senior?). Apparently, this one is known as “Junior Gotti” and he’s likely “in the business” as well. That business? Um… trash-collecting? Taking out the trash, in any case. Travolta is allegedly “in talks” to play Gotti Senior, and I suppose Travolta wanted Junior’s blessing. Maybe I’m out of line, but I would think Travolta would be a bridge too far, even for mobsters. Like, even they don’t want to get involved with Travolta and his issues. But Junior Gotti is a fan! He told the waiting reporters he had seen all of Travolta’s films and was sure he could take on the role of his father: “He’s a tremendous actor and he’ll feel the part. He nails every single one and he can do this too, I’m totally confident.”

As far as the photographs from the dinner – well, the best shots are of Gotti and Travolta exiting the restaurant. Gotti leans in for a man hug, and Travolta’s face just says it all: “Um, not my type, dude. I like them lithe and dark and in the spa!”

I actually would love him to get back to real acting. He is always good in street roles. Saturday Night Fever, Pulp Fiction & Get Shorty anyone? Anyway it’ll keep him out of the spa.

Actually I think JT would nail it…the role I mean. I’m sure JT understands playing the dapper Don won’t be like eating Poptarts with the Sapranos.

Not sure what’s going on with JT trying to get inside Gotti’s jacket unless there’s a thong in that little gift bag John gave him.

This can only end up with Travolta dead.

Gotti: “I read in them papers that you’re a homo…that ain’t true, is it?”

Travolta: “Nonononono…in fact, my WIFE just had a BABY…our third child! Tabloids are so silly. Haven’t you seen Grease? I’m all man!”

Gotti: “Good, because I ain’t gonna have some flamer playing my father. That’s not gonna happen.”

…fast forward to the next set of kissing/back rub/spa pictures…

It’s a movie in and of itself.

I still don’t understand why JT persists in showing a full head of brown hair to the world. I saw a photo years ago of him and his natural hair is now white. I suppose it’s all part of his totally constructed facade.

The only ‘whacking’ will be across JT’s big bare bottom by some randy young dude with a leather switch at the ‘spa’…

    @Isabel

The movie ends with Gotti driving a concrete truck in a gay pride parade with the music from Grease blarring from loud speakers (You’re the one that I want, u,u,u).

Those last 3 pictures are hilarious xD JT really did look pretty awkward… (You wouldn’t think, out of the 2 of them, that he would be the one awkward in hugging another man.)

Then again, I don’t know what Junior’s proclivities are, either. >.> JT seems an odd choice for that role, but I’m not referencing the gay thing. I just don’t *see* a mob boss.

Anyone else feel bad for John Travolta? I kind of feel like he’s being bullied at this point. I feel like we all know he’s gay but should just drop it and leave him alone. Tom Cruise is different because he’s so fucking over the top trying to convince us he’s hetro it’s ridiculous.

  18. Mizz Tickles says:

If you go on you tube there is an interview from The Dick Cavett show with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John when they did that movie Twist of Fate.

This is a link the first part of the interview, it says part one two and three – there are three parts all together and John and Olivia really seem to have a lot of chemistry so I wonder if they got it on back in the day?

I agree with moocowhead partly. IF any guy is gay but is pretending to be straight then that is a sad way for them to feel they have to live but leave it alone, leave them alone. Having everyone say “we know you’re gay” and make joke after joke about it sure isn’t going to make them any more likely to come out with it.

Well, not that I think John should be picked on for the gay thing, but…

Being married to a woman, having children (that he claims are *with* said woman), & being a scientologist… Are things he & Tom have in common in ‘trying ridiculously hard to prove he’s hetero’.

Did they exchange gifts or something.

I just think it is a bit strange that he is all over this. I get actors wanting roles but why the photo op.. OK I guess to get interest in the possible film going. Gotti Jr. looks like he just wants to rub shoulders with celebrities.

He is acting more like a fanboy then someone trying to find the best person to play his daddy.. LOL
