Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder Civil has spent the last 10 months in jail on obstruction of justice charges after trying to pay off a guy he beat up not to testify against him. Many people were hoping when Blake first went to jail that his incarceration would provide motivation for Amy to clean up, or at least that she would better off without his influence. We know how well that turned out for her. Blake is said to be due for release in December. He was sentenced to 27 months at a hearing in July, but it was thought that he could be out toward the end of the year on good behavior after credit for timed served.
Amy’s dad has admitted that his daughter plans to live with Blake once he’s inevitably set free. She is even said to be in the final stages of buying a country estate outside London to prepare for her husband’s arrival.
Blake won’t be out of jail this month, though. He passed up an opportunity to live at his mother’s house with a 7pm curfew and an electronic monitoring anklet:

But Fielder-Civil (26) opted to stay locked up, insisting that he didn’t want to live anywhere except in Camden, North London. A source for The Sun said: “He doesn’t want to go somewhere where he can’t be reunited with Amy and his friends. He’d rather stay inside.”
Amy Winehouse was planning to meet him at the prison gate and was in tears when she heard the news. The booze and drug-addicted singer will now have to wait until the original December release date to reunite with her husband.

Blake was photographed doing drugs in jail a couple of months ago. Maybe he knows if he gets out and has to live with his mom his supply will be cut off.
Amy looks like death warmed over lately and there’s no question that she’s going through some very dire life-threatening addictions. Do we have to watch her die or is something going to change? At least Blake will be behind bars for a few more months.

Of course it’s about his supply getting cut off. He’s taking his drugs over getting out earlier and being with his wife or family…that’s what addicts do. He looks pretty disgusting – a shower and a scrubbing brush would do wonders…
She’s gotten worse while he’s been in jail. I’m not saying he’s good for her, by any means, but she’s killing herself because she can’t be with him, I think. And I think this decision he made was selfish and will probably only make her worse.
Agree OJ & Diva. If he was committed to being clean, he’d have jumped at the chance to get out of jail. That he’d rather be inside where he most probably has access to drugs just about sums this shithead up. In jail, out of jail, nothing good here for Amy.

You all nailed it!!…How very sad for Amy, that she is at the lowest possible point in her life already..She has missed concerts, been late for several, and rude with strangers on the street trying to help her…All this with no possible ( major ) intervention in site. I can assure you her mother and her friends will NOT attempt one when the idiot gets out of his hole… BUT GERONIMO..I like your term for him better…well said!..If the term fits, well then, it fits…just look at him!
It’s like Sid and Nancy Vicious all over again. I really don’t see any happy endings for these two unless they totally separate and clean up their acts. They’re weird enough to make a death pact together.

Tattoos are only as trashy as the individual they grace. And just because Prince Charming has a load of “jail house chic” tats – no doubt inspired from late-night benders and raves – doesn’t mean the rest of us who sport ink are grubby little leeches content to slum off of society. Have some class.

Shane – It most certainly is NOT the opinion of most untattooed people. I don’t have any, my o/h does and a lot of my friends do and I love most of them, just don’t choose to have any myself. And even when I don’t like a particular tattoo, it’s that I’m forming an opinion on, not the person. Your overwhelming need to declare every tattooed celeb on here trashy is dull, tiresome and ignorant.
Take responsibility for your own opinions and stop trying to rope the rest of us into your frankly irrational bias.
I think that he will get out of gaol and go on one huge drug and alcohol binge with mates and Amy in toe… I have concerns if Amys body will be able to cope with the big binge though.
I have to agree with Shane. I think tattoos are unflattering, on just about everyone. They just look cheap.

You know, I read this thread and thought about how to civilly reply to an issue that has gone unresolved since the Ethan Hawke thread debacle.
Perhaps if I explained the meaning of each of my pieces – including an intricate memorial piece for my dead mother that I first designed when I lost her at age 11 – perhaps then people might come to understand depth, gravity and emotion that comes with making such a lifelong commitment.
Maybe if I explained the complex philosophy and deliberate references to such artists as Dali, Shakespeare, Locke and Socrates – who have opened my eyes to the world and have broadened my perspective – it might make people think twice about calling inked individuals “trashy”.
And then I realized, I just don’t give a fuck what judgmental pricks on a celebrity forum think of me. Later, boners.

I have 4 tats as of now; all are easily hidden, but each has meaning to me, and is a milestone for a point in my life. I am highly intelligent, and most people who don’t see my tattoos are very surprised that I have them, when the subject comes up. So, all you tat–haters out there, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before you use blanket generalizations and put–downs for those of us who choose to be inked.
There is a wonderful saying, a guy named Dodi in Baton Rouge gave out bumper stickers with each tattoo; it says, “American by birth, tattooed by choice”.
