Lindsay Lohan tells Marie Claire she’s thinking about adoption

The rumors that Lindsay Lohan wants to adopt a child are getting stronger and stronger – especially because Lohan’s just added fuel to the fire. She says she wants to adopt a baby or a child from another country.

Could Lindsay Lohan be ready for motherhood?

The 22-year-old star told Marie Claire, “At some point … I want to adopt a kid … A child in need or a newborn from another country. I’m not sure yet.”

Though Lohan has had her fair share of family drama, she believes her own experience would make her that much more qualified as a mom.

Lohan also finally confirmed her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, ending months of speculation and gossip. She even goes so far as to say she has never been happier.

But don’t expect her to whip out the baby carriage just yet. Lohan’s busy filming the upcoming indie flick aptly titled “Labor Pains.”

[From the Daily News]

You’d think there’s no way this can actually happen, right? Someone’s going to stop her. Well the problem is that the people who normally do exactly that in adoption proceedings can be worked around when you’ve got money and fame. Though Lohan’s financial status is always debatable. Lindsay seems so emotionally immature that I forget she’s even a legal adult. I keep thinking, “Her mom will say no.” Then I remember that her mom can’t stop her… and considering what we know of Dina Lohan, she’d never considering – look at all that free publicity.

While I did start to freak out a bit, I calmed down and realized Lohan’s going to get a lot of questions about future baby plans as she’s doing press for her new movie. So I’m just going to pray this is all part of her little PR script and she will remain the self-centered, ego maniacal, and completely child-free Lohan we all know and… well whatever we feel for her.

This is bull, they took her words out of text. She said in the future and she was asked specifically about adoption and she said why not, they just placed the article like that ino rder to show she said it cause she is so happy now and thinking about adoptiong. They turned her words around.
What seems to be building though is the story that she and Samantha want to live in NewYork and make a fresh start. This i can believe.

‘At some point, I want to adopt a kid as well.

Thats the answer she gave when asked about creating a family and so on.
And lets not forget what the Holy mum Angelina did before she became a great mum.

I like her. I too was a whild child in my early 20s and had a much less of a rocky childhood (better parents). It could be just a phase. But then again, I grew out of it because I had to. If Hollywood continues to allow her to act that way, she may never grow out of it.

Still, I like her. She has undeniable charisma.

Jesus Christ. So the way to ‘prove’ you have your shit together is to run and adopt an accessory, er, baby? Maybe settle in to the new sober lifestyle first. People in La la land don’t name drop, they drop buzzwords like ‘adoption’.

She says at some point, that could be 5-10 yrs. down the road for all we know. And just because shes has had a lot of problems in the past doesn’t mean she wont make a good mother. I’ve seen motherhood make a wild child type completely turn around, for all we know it could change her for the positive. But no one will know until that happens, and again she said at some point, that doesn’t necessarily mean right now .

She is such a freak!!! She should not be allowed to adopt a hermit crab, much less a human being!!!!! That girl is mentally ill, a baby????? She needs to be on some strong meds and daily therapy, if she can get her shit straight in maybe 10 years, she could consider adopting a “pet”, not a child.

I dont find Lindsay that bad – I think samantha was all she needed to see a bit of reality in this world. I think Sammy has made her alot more mature, and ever since they became an item you’ve never seen Linds all boozed out, stumbling abround in the nightclubs of LA. And i totally agree with (first comment poster) Angelina wasnt always the “adorable mom” she is today. I’d even go as far as saying she was worse than Linds in many ways, (not all) – and look at her now!
In a few years I think Linds will be more than capable of adopting, and having her own kids.

I doubt any agency would give a multiple addicted person a child, and I don’t think she’s got the cash she’d need to buy one like Sharon Stone did.

She’s still drinking and she’s still smoking pot. Although her major prob was cocaine, she’s not showing up on time for jobs and is still a big ol’ flake. Too many personal problems for a kid to deal with, I hope she isn’t really considering this.

  8. Tanille says:

Was Angelina Jolie not addicted to harsh drugs and a wild child. Now look at her, she turned herself around and has been allowed to adopt children. People can change. And again she doesn’t say shes doing this in the near future, “at some point” could be long from now.

Look if you have ever seen the horrifying conditions of some of the orphanages in Romania,Russia, Guatemala, and many more, you wouldn’t be complaining about Lindsey adopting them, you would just be thankful the poor kid isn’t living in hell anymore.

  10. Lola says:

I am not sure whether a child is not better off in an orphanage than with a person who can barely look after themselves. May be she should choose an orphanage and donate to it every year. Just because she can afford it does not mean a child who is raised but an unfit person may not end up hooked onto drugs and dead like they would be in a bad orphanage. Lets not swap on absurdity for another. There is a better way, adopt an orphanage and donate to it.

way to twist her words. she said in the FUTURE, not now. its a nice option. I love Lohan & with her the best anyway. <3

  12. vdantev says:

Because that’s what drug abusing semi-lesbian emotional train wrecks from broken homes need to do is to raise a child.

  13. trivia says:

oh come on. Give the girl a break! She didn’t say she was gonna adopt now. She said IN THE FUTURE. I believe she could turn her life around. Anybody could turn their life around. And if she is able to do that, I’d think her colored past would serve as a lesson.

  14. caribassett says:

    @ Lola,
I firmly disagree. I do not believe she would have a child “hooked on drugs”. Do they sell crack at Babies R Us? Wow. I had no idea…

  15. Shane says:

She’s growing on me. I think despite her problems, she has done a fine job turning around her life. Her parents are really screwed up and pimped her out at a young age. She’s making her life her own at this point.

  16. Danielle says:

I think its great For her, She can turn her life around from all the bad things that happend. Yeah she went lesbian- Sammy was the best thing that ever happended to her, Shes not hanging around the drug scene anymore. She’s with her love. And if they can get threw all this hollywood bull shit every one is giving them hell yeah she can raise a child, Maybe not today!! but in a year or two.

  17. KERRI says:

Lindsay HAS completely turned her life around for the better. I don’t see any remanants of the old self-destructive Lindsay of last year. She’s happy, in love and I believe Sam was the best thing to come along in her life. I truly am happy for her.

I think they make an adorable couple. 😀 🙂

  18. czarina says:

She’s in a movie where she is playing someone pregnant. Of course she is going to be asked: “Do you plan to have children?” The answer most people would give is “Sure, someday”. Likely followed by, “Would you consider adoption?” (since that is the big thing for celebs now), to which any normal person in an interview would respond “I think adoption is great and would definately consider doing that” (pat PR response).
This was a typical interview with typical my-publicist-told-me-to-say answers. I’m amazed anyone is taking it seriously.

  19. Gary says:

You got to be kidding me No way on earth that this wacko chick could ever be granted a child She dont even know weather she is coming or going from day to day

  20. Jeanne says:

No way she’d make a good mother. She needs to wait about ten years until she grows up, and quits drinking and doing drugs.
