Even more Harry Potter premiere stuff! I know, it’s overkill, but these aren’t more red carpet photos (you can see our red carpet coverage here and here). These are photos from the post-premiere party! Little Emma Watson made a costume change from her enormous tulle Oscar de la Renta gown to this sparkly little Elie Saab. Once again, I think Emma pulls it off because of her youth – it’s a girly, frilly, frothy little dress on a young woman, and it works. She doesn’t even look washed out! I’m not a huge fan of the stiffness of the skirt (I imagine it would be difficult to sit in), but it’s not horrible.
As for Emma’s hair… I believe this is the same (awkward) hair style she did at the premiere. I still don’t like it. Does Emma not realize how cute she looks when she just slicks the whole mess down? Of course she realizes it – because she slicked it down for her final look of the evening. That’s right, people. Emma had THREE costume changes in ONE night. Behold, Emma’s last outfit of the evening, a gorgeous little black mini and black jacket:
How great does this look? THIS should have been the premiere and after-party look. So chic, so simple and glamorous. Although… does anyone have any thoughts on Emma thinking she absolutely needed THREE costume changes for the premiere and after-party?

All those dresses are adorable. The short sparkly one is the cutest thing ever.
No problem with her changing clothes. It’s a big night for her. I think she’s a competent actress, but she probably won’t have another night like this one. She has the right to enjoy it.

ok this is weird.why doesn’t she smile?she has a pretty smile..remember when she was young and she smiled all the time?now she just puts a bizarre smirk..it totally ruins the whole outfit!

Is it too much to ask that the Ellie Saab dress could have some longer sleeves, too? Just like I wanted on the Oscar de la Renta (and was later graciously and most excitingly bestowed with in the form of Possibly The Greatest Ever White Jacket To Exist Yum Yum)? Those weird little capped anti-sleeve things are just irritating and unflattering; they make her look more broad-shouldered than she is (which isn’t at all, of course). I really like the skirt of the Ellie Saab, though. Who cares if it’s practical or not? Practicality is overrated!
Seriously does she have bad teeth or something? That smile is so tight it may break her face if she opens up more. It just makes her look bad overall instead of flattering she looks grumpy and annoyed with it all.
Why a third dress? I can understand the second one. Looks more comfortable for the after party. Is it because the photographers are asked to leave and emma felt secure enough to sex it up like she did at the MTV movie awards after party and the BOX night club? I am askling. Anyone know?
I love all of 3 dresses. She looks cute and appropriate. And well..maybe the 2 dress was to stiff and was annoying the hell of out her and she changed to a simpler style?

oh that dress is so cute. i really like it. i see what you mean about the weirdness in the skirt. I feel like that’s just emma though. before she grew up (and became a vogue/burberry girl) she had the strangest sense of style at HP premiers! there was always something off about what she was wearing. and it still peeks through her new glam reputation now – just not enough to stop me from loving her dress.
and the final look of the night – SO GOOD! loves it.
She really needs to work on her posture. The hunchback doesn’t show off the pretty dresses well and makes her upper arms look big.
