Bradley Cooper & Zoe Saldana “are totally dating”: did she leave her fiancé for B.Coop?

In June and September of this year, the tabloids began reporting that Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana were hooking up and getting way too friendly on the set of their new film, The Words. Star Magazine even went as far as to claim that Zoe cheated on her boyfriend/fiance of 10 years in September. Zoe’s people denied it, but then something suspicious happened – Zoe and her fiance Keith split up in November, and it seemed like they had been done for a month or so before they announced it. I said at the time that it seemed like Zoe had split up with Keith FOR Bradley. And now E! News is reporting that Bradley and Zoe are totally doing it.

Now here’s someone who does not prefer Ryan Gosling to Bradley Cooper.

The reigning Sexiest Man Alive and Zoe Saldana are dating and they’re extremely happy about it, sources exclusively tell E! News. And we hear that the pair are just now starting to tell family and friends that they’re an item.

What? You didn’t expect either one of them to remain on the market for long, did you?

A rep for Saldana, who recently filmed The Words with—and got to practice kissing—Cooper, denied that the costars were anything more than friends a month ago, after their appearance together at a Manhattan nightclub prompted romantic speculation.

But as recently as last week, a source tells E! News, they were telling friends that they had plans to go skiing in the Rockies together over the holidays.

“They are totally dating,” the source says.

Reps for both stars did not immediately return requests for comment.

Saldana and her boyfriend of nearly 11 years, Keith Britton, called off their engagement and revealed that they had broken up in early November.

[From E! News]

Yeah, I think they’re totally doing it, and by “it” I mean “whatever situation Bradley had with Renee Zellweger.” I would guess that they’ve been doing it, off and on, for six months or so. I would guess that Bradley is the reason that Zoe and Keith are no longer together. I would also guess that Bradley isn’t exactly Mr. Faithful – he was recently spotted on what I’m still guessing was a flat-out date with Melanie Laurent, in Paris about a month ago. Bradley might be playing the field still, but… I could definitely see Zoe sticking around.

Didn’t someone spot Laurent’s boyfriend as the other person on that ‘date’ in Paris? I think Zoe can do better though.

Doesn’t she have an eight or ten year old daughter? Why would she bring that serial killer looking, manwhore around a child? Bleeeecchhhh.

    She looks bitchy.

I’ve also heard that she’s a difficult woman to work with.

Wrong. As was pointed out by a French reader on the Melanie Laurent board her bf was there. That was NOT a date.

    B. Coop is totally overrated. I can’t even bring myself to bu People anymore because I’m that upset. If they didn’t want to recycle Brad Pitt or the Cloon, they totally could have picked RDJ or even Jude Law who is definitely a contender, even with his receding hair line.

Meanwhile, I call this downgrade for Zoe personally and professionally. However I was in New York a few weeks ago, and I could have sworn I saw her and her ex hugging a few weeks ago. She looked sad. And the paps were following her.

Oh, I don’t know about “downgrade”.

Zoe has had ONE lead in a hit movie in the last decade – the success of which was entirely down to James Cameron – and in everything else she’s just the interchangeable tits and ass. At least Bradley Cooper has the leads in Limitless and the half-billion dollar-plus gross of Hangover 2 on his IMDb page.

But then she knew that, and that’s why she’s dumped her BF for him…

Zoe Saldana actually had ‘two’ lead roles in ‘two’ Blockbuster hits in 2009: Nyota Uhura in “Star Trek,” and Neytiri in “Avatar” (yes, she was a lead in “Star Trek”) and she gave a Stellar performance in both films. How the likes of Blake Lively (who couldn’t act her way out of a wet paper bag with a pair of scissors) is better known and spoken of is a continuing mystery to me.

Are you one of the people who believe that “Avatar” was all CGI? The actors ‘acted’ those parts. All James Cameron did was impose the avatar images over their actions, which was possible due to the special suits and movement detectors attached to their bodies, much like the leads attached to you when you get an EKG. I wish Cameron had released his ‘Making of Avatar’ before he released the film so people would really know how it was done, and how much hard work the actors put into that film.

And I don’t believe that Zoe left her boyfriend on a whim to be with Bradley Cooper (who I believe earned every one of those ‘sexiest man of the year’ votes … just watch “A-Team” to see why). If she was that capricious, or attracted to sexy, handsome co-stars, she would have been ALL OVER Captain Fine … I mean, Chris Pine during “Star Trek.”

        Don’t forget Star Trek.

This is probably going down, and it is a respectable pairing (if you leave out the home wrecking aspect – but then again if the ex liked it then he should have put a ring on it a while ago). I don’t think she’s too good for B.Coop, and they’d look nice together. I don’t buy that he’s actually a huge playboy, either – i think it was all a clever ruse to help him get sexiest man, maybe. I do think Zoe could do better, though — like a director/producer type, or a better-regarded actor.

        @Emma:

A lead in Star Trek? I didn’t count her lines but weren’t Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto & Eric Bana playing the main characters in that movie? Zoe S wore a miniskirt, was token eye candy and had 5-10 minutes screentime tops.

And I was aware that motion capture was used in Avatar, but the whole shebang was sold as “James Cameron’s epic cinema-altering 3D comeback”. “Ferngully: The Last Rainforest starring Sam (huh?)Worthington & Zoe (one of the chicks from Crossroads that wasn’t Britney Spears) Saldana” probably wouldn’t have banked $2 billion!

@Tapioca … Ouch! Why so bitter?

Regarding Zoe Saldana … the young woman has been in 25 films since 1999, which is, in my opinion, certainly nothing to sneeze–or sneer–at.

Regarding “Avatar” … say what you will, but if the actors hadn’t have seriously ‘brought it,’ it wouldn’t have mattered if the film was James Cameron’s 3D wonder or not, because the film would have bombed. The fact is that all elements–action, actors, technology, and James Cameron’s vision–came together beautifully to create an incredible film that became an instant classic. The fantastic performances delivered by Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington were a huge part of the film’s success.

So she dates the same guy for ten years without getting married despite being engaged, then starts dating Bradley Cooper? I’m starting to think she’s a professional beard.

It’s probably smart that she has a fallback career, since she’s not so great at that whole acting thing.

Zoe and her ex didn’t become engaged until 2010. At that point she knew that she had a stable future and wouldn’t be out pounding the pavement for acting jobs, with the “Avatar” trilogy and at least two more “Star Trek” films on her acting schedule. Abrams and Cameron don’t seem to have a problem with her acting.

The first time I ever saw Zoe was in “Drumline,” then in “The Terminal” with Tom Hanks. I think she’s a fine actress, but we’re all entitled to our opinions. :)

She has also done awesome film in the Dominican Republic, in Spanish. She’s an excellent actress. She’s a much better actor than Bradley Cooper, in my biased because I’m Dominican like she is opinion. But her real life personality seems kind of meh. I’m not sure how far she’ll go in Hollywood…she definitely isn’t as vibrant and charismatic off screen as Blake Lively, for example.

I think Zoe left her ex for Bradley and I think those pap picks with Jlo was a smoke screen to what was really going on for both. Jennifer was doing her dancer and Bradley was creeping with an engaged Zoe.

They both got some press for being together, but could wait until ready to reveal their true relationships.

@Emma. ITA with you about Zoe. And actually Zoe has proven her range. She’s done drama, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, and I think she is a solid actress with a lot of potential. Many of her mainstream movies were successful.

    B. Coop in A-Team was meh. He does nothing for me. Michael Vartan is hotter and more solid. And speaks French too!

I say downgrade professionally because I think Zoe is the better actor and also because B. Coop is a trend right now. People are trying to make him the new Brad Pitt. FAIL.

Aw, soon they’ll be buying Valtrex together. So romantic. /sarcasm

I hope she’s just looking for a bit of no-strings fun, because Bradley Cooper doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who’s interested in settling down with a woman.

I’ve never been a fan of Cooper. He’s a bit greasy and creepy looking (I actually liked that in the movie w/ RZ that he had a beard to cover that face). He’s a boring actor who keeps picking cr@p movies (how many more Hang Overs can he do before his career completely tanks).

ZS has skill I just wish she’d also pick better movies (rather than the cheese ball action flicks). As far as her personal life – I could careless but I think she could do better than Cooper.

I found him semi attractive on first glance. He reminded me a little of Ralph Fiennes in the eyes, and I liked his relationship with Renee. But now I’m rather repulsed by him. He is supposedly on vacation with DiCaprio and his latest many years younger blonde model. Zoe had better keep her eyes and options open.
