Some of you took issue with my claim that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are engaged “officially” after Us Weekly ran the story with some unnamed sources confirming. I stand by it, though. Jessica’s tabloids of choice are Us Weekly and People Magazine – her publicist is always dropping stories about how Jessica is so beautiful and how all of the dudes that meet Jessica just fall all over themselves in her presence. So… I believe that they’re engaged. I just don’t know WHY they’re engaged. And Us Weekly doesn’t know either.
After denying Biel and Timberlake’s engagement the cover story last week, Us Weekly decided to give them the cover this week, but it’s not some happy celebration. Us Weekly is just calling Justin Timberlake a cheater, flat-out, and they’re making Jessica sound like… a doormat? A shrew? Whatever it is, it isn’t flattering. What do you make of the cover lines, “Do cheaters ever change” and “It took a bitter breakup and Jessica’s ultimatum before Timberlake finally proposed. Now her friends worry he’ll break her heart.” YIKES.
By the way, Us Weekly was also Olivia Munn’s tabloid of choice when she (I mean, an “unnamed source close to Olivia Munn”) wanted to go public with her affair with JT. I think it was Olivia’s attempt to get Justin and Jessica to breakup, so Justin would be free to be her (Olivia’s) girlfriend – you should totally go back and read those stories, just for a refresher. Jessica has already put up with so much crap from JT. And I’m still mystified as to A) Why Justin even proposed when it seems like he can barely stand to be in the same room with Jessica and B) Why Jessica agreed to this scheme that really doesn’t benefit her in the long run, you know?

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t she once say she looks up to Jen Garner? I think she’s they type that would be happy with a ring and the ‘wife’ title and will look they other way WHEN Justin cheats(just like Jen allegedly). But Justin isn’t Ben Affleck he’s a weasel and he won’t just play around behind Jess’s back he’d dump her for someone younger or more famous in a heartbeat.

He seems like such a jackass! And I don’t understand her at all. I get that she might feel insecure, but how does she justify (hee) to herself that he’s worth ANY of this? It’s not like he’s actually a movie star, either, so even if the relationship were purely for “work” purposes, he doesn’t seem to have the pull to get her roles. So why is she bothering to put up with the rest of him?

I don’t think the above was ever given enough attention – but if Jessica is really with Justin to get ahead in her career and they are really just good friends, I don’t think she has a good sense of reality – - she should aim higher

To be completely honest, I still see Timberlake’s appeal. Whether or not you like his acting or music, he’s a triple threat, and pretty damn funny on top of it (I love him on SNL).
I know he’s a cheater, and he’s got his haters, but I think he’s settling with Jessica and he and everyone knows it.

I’m sorry to bring up religion here (I’m not proselytizing, honest) but this seemed to fit the situation perfectly:

I’ve stopped looking for logic in Biel’s stance. Maybe she’s really just really, really, really, reeeeeeeeallllyyyy crazy about this guy and will do what it takes to keep him there.
It’s like the rationalisation that “at least he comes home to me (after he’s finished cheating with anything that moves. I may have to drag him home kicking and screaming sometimes but I. Will. Win. This…)”
So yeah, maybe she’s there because she – *shudders* – really loves the guy. Maybe he even has feelings for her as well. (I think he just realises that no one else will put up with as much as she has/does/will.)

I don’t think for a second that Olivia Munn told US magazine about Justin because she wanted him, I totally think she did it to get even with him because she likes to do that, it’s the whole reason why she wrote that book and writes columns for magazines sometimes. She loves to tell her stories about people that have wronged her.
Jessica Biel will turn a blind eye to Justin cheating because she’s all about getting the attention of people wanting to know all about their wedding plan, giving exclusives about their wedding, and even getting a bunch of publicity when they eventually get a divorce. She’ll ride that wave for as long as it gets her in magazines and written about on gossip blogs. She’s like Katie Holmes, a pretty girl from a TV show marrying someone much more famous than her so she can live the high life and get attention, no matter how crappy of a person the guy she marries is.

I think it’s more likely that Munn likes the attention (and money, if the books sell and she gets parts) that come from the tell alls.

Yep, more than likely he will. It has been my experience that there are women who are more than happy to let that happen once they have the “ring” and she apparently is one. I bet they will have a few kids fairly quickly and she will settle down to quite a nice life as a wife and a mother. Not bad for a girl who started on 7th Heaven. She could do far worse in my opinion.

So I don’t understand why they’re targeting Biel and Timberlake, when Oliver Martinez is a notorious cheater/ womanizer and is now allegedly engaged to Halle Berry, especially since Halle stated she would never marry again after her last husband. I just don’t know which union is worse off?

I think Justin really loves the ideas of her as his wife. I think he loves her but I’d bet $ that they never make it down the isle. I’m sure he asked her to buy alittle more time and to keep her quiet.

I really don’t know WHY either of them are doing this. Because she will make herself crazy wondering: is he with someone? Who was that text from? who is he calling? who emailed him? why does he have this pic? Was that perfume I smelled on his shirt? and on and ON.
She will go through his phone, pockets, emails, have people watch him when she’s not there, call and text him all the time, be with him as much as possible and every time she’s not it’s all she will think about! She will over analyze everything constantly.
And him? he will put up with the insecurity for awhile but eventually get sick of it and even if he’s not cheating he will say EFF it, I might as well she already thinks I have …
