Her daughter’s both look so different from one another, they don’t even look related…but sometimes that happens, sometimes a child can come out looking like the mother, father, grandparents, or even great grandparents. Either way, neither of the girls look like Jessica at all. The first child has her father’s features and looked a bit “mixed” but this one doesn’t look like she has mexican and african american in her at all.

Jessica Alba took a DNA test in the George Lopez show and she turned 87% European and only 13% Native American, the look of her daughter is not surprisingly.

Genes are crazy, I guess. I was stunned enough at Portman’s baby. Grandfather aside, it seems crazy that two dark-complexioned white people could have such a fair, red-headed baby. And now here’s Alba and her husband, both biracial, with this fair, ginger baby. I mean, I believe she’s theirs, but wow!

Red hair is more dominant than we think. I have seen the child of a black mom and ginger dad. The little girl had red Shirley temple curls. Same story with hispanic mom and ginger dad.

Yeah, you’d think so. But, it’s not unusual for that sort of thing to happen. For instance, my father is a really (really) dark skinned Italian and my mama comes from a family of beautiful olive skinned Germans. Needless to say, they were all shocked when I was born. You see, much to their chagrin, I popped out whiter than a crisp blank sheet of paper! ha-ha.

It is interesting that she looks nothing like either one of her parents since they are both so dark. My sister was pale and blond as a baby and the rest of us had dark hair and olive skin so there was a lot of teasing about the ‘milkman’. As she got older tho, she looked more like us.

Every time I see celebs with their babies, I’m amazed that they can wear their hair down, with earrings or other jewelry. My baby would try to pull or eat everything. Is it the training – don’t touch mommy’s hair, make up or accessories?

I have a 15 month old & there is NO WAY I could have stick straight hair, earrings & all those damn necklaces. I know someone who swears that she taught her daughter not to yank her hair, but I’m skeptical. Maybe its easier to “train” girls? I don’t know…

I’ve got two kids and I never wear y hair up. It gets pulled some at first but now at 11 months my son doesn’t bother it. The only time it gets pulled is if I sit down on the ground and he’s climbing all over me and falls- sometimes he uses it to catch himself.
I don’t try jewlelry though. I wear stud earrings but nothing dangly because I don’t want my ear lobes stretched or ripped.

Jessica seems to use her daughters to get attention–pretty much the only attention she’s getting these days. Don’t know why but I find it a bit irritating and sad. So tired of Alba stories based solely on pics of her with her kids. I respect other celebs so much who don’t use their kids for publicity. Amy Poehler rocks! The red hair gene is a rare occurance and commonly affects skin tone as well. For example, it’s not unheard of to find red haired African Americans with very light skin who have siblings who are very dark.

You all forget that the Aronofsky/Portman rumor came up long before she gave birth. It’s not like the internet folks saw Portman’s baby and said it has to be Darrens. The rumors started after the Golden Globes. This is the reason why so many people think Aleph is Darren’s son.

My brother in law is Irish and Filipino. Very tall and very dark. My sister is blonde hair blue eyes (we’re German). My nephew has brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes, which are slighty Asian. Genetics are crazy.

You know this, how exactly? If people would stop and see past color they would see such great details like eye shape, mouth, face shape, the nose etc and see that the kid actually DOES look like her mom, but since so many just see color (since that is the most obvious and can be seen from far away) they don’t stop and look at actual facial details that would tell you that, yes, in fact, they ARE related by blood.
And also, please get a decent education, preferably in biology and study up on genes. You might learn something.

Whomever said that Honor and Haven are not cute is heartless and clueless. Both these little girls are gorgeous! So what if Haven may not look like her mom or dad, genetics run deep and can go centuries back in time. Thus, causing a child to not look like a present day relative but a very distant one. Both these little girls are healthy, happy and being taken care of & that should matter most….not what they look like or what some of you think they should look like. They are both sweet and adorable so get a life people instead of judging others.
