Designers and clothing makers are said to be sending little Suri Cruise, who turns three in April, plenty of free stuff in the hope that she’ll wear it out and increase sales. Tom has said that his daughter picks out her own clothing and refuses to wear anything but dresses. (That might also explain why she’s sometimes seen out with a coat in the cold New York winter.) Suri is a sharp little dresser and many designers are clamoring to have Suri model their clothes.
What’s more is that Suri receives a lot of fan mail praising her fashion sense. This comes from Star Magazine, but it sounds probable:
Suri Cruise is only 2 years old, but she’s already a fan magnet. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter scores 100 adoring letters a day! “She’s even more popular than her superfamous parents,” a source tells Star. “She has such a huge following I’m surprised there isn’t a web site dedicated to her yet.” Most of the letters want to know where she gets her dresses or sparkly Mary Jane shoes. But letters aren’t the only thing Suri is getting in the mail. She’s “a major swag target,” adds the source. “If Suri wears it out in public, it becomes a big seller, so designers are smart to floor her with their wares. She’s the world’s No. 1 fashion plate under 3!”

Suri is just a toddler and while she’s adorable and it’s cute that she goes out dressed like a doll it’s also obviously disturbing to her that she has to be faced with flash bulbs and hear her name screamed whenever she steps out with her parents in New York. Tom and Katie should be doing more to shield Suri from the paparazzi and the press instead of showing her off. Maybe they’re just doing the best that they can in a difficult situation, though. It’s not like they can do much to avoid it when everyone knows where they’re staying and waits for them. If they started covering Suri up like Michael Jackson does for his kids people would be complaining about that too.

OMG what kind of whacked out nut job with no life do you have to be to send fan mail to a 3 year old. Im thinking its those women who collect those porcelain dolls they advertise in the back of the Enquirer that look like real newborn babies. *shiver*

This is not right. The child is being exploited by those who would profit by using her as a public venue for their products. This will only increase the pap attention. Hopefully she will soon be in school and not out in public so much to be gawked at. Remember the Dionne quintuplets? I see parallels.

I don’t think 3 year olds have a “fashion sense”, it’s not like they shop for their own clothes.
Hating Katie’s pants, and thinking if it’s cold enough to need a hat and a scarf wrapped around your neck, probably you AND the kid should be wearing coats too. Sheesh.
The whole swag concept bugs me. The only people who get swag are those who could afford to buy it anyway. I’d be a lot more impressed if some of the manufacturers dropped off a few cases of kids’ shoes at some family homeless shelters.

First of all, people who write to children they don’t know are also known as pedophiles. And I’m sure building this girl’s ego up so early and so immensely will not do a thing to alter her self entitlement and bad attitude….Tom Jr. coming right up.

She sure is a pretty little girl & she does wear some cute stuff, but the idea she picks out her own clothes is ridiculous. Sure, she may be allowed to express her little girl opinion, but her PARENTS are the deciders.
Suri’s utter lack of parental control coupled with a lifetime of frenzied attention is going to make her an uber-brat

I have two words for these two celeb-u-turds…..Drew Barrymore!!! This kind of exposure and growing up too fast will most certainly put their child in early forms of psychological harm. Luckily, Drew was able to get her life back!! SMDH!!

At least Shirley Temple did something to warrant fan mail. Suri gets it just for existing. That’s warped. Mind you, ‘fan’ is short for ‘fanatic’ so that something to keep in mind I guess, particularly in this instance.

Yes, I’m sure 3 year olds are perusing the gossip sites/rags like the rest of us. How else would they have stumbled onto the “intriguing” existence of Suri Cruise?

Tom managed to keep his other kids out of the spot light, why not try that with suri. Plenty of other celebs manage to do it. Maybe if the parents were not trying to keep themselves in the media this could happen.

intriguing , cause she is acting like a little lady and she has her own sense of style and opinion and it’s amazing for a three year old to have that at this age, i’m sure some of that facination for suri has to do with katie, cause katie is a very interesting actress, i’m katie’s no one fan, now for those who are upset about people’s attention to suri, i don’t think they would have had the same feeling if that attention was toward shiloh or any of the their idol’s babies, now would they? this is hollywood, and don’t be jealous of suri.
