bella bella: I haven’t seen either version of Brothers, but I looked them up on IMDb, and it doesn’t look like Mads was in either one. The first time I saw him was in Casino Royale, and then Netflix kept recommending After The Wedding to me. I finally watched it and realized how good of an actor Mads is. At first, I couldn’t even believe it was the same guy who had played Le Chiffre; he looked so different.

Have you watched Hannibal? INCREDIBLE show and I’ve been recommending it to everyone and anyone who will listen to me. Cannot wait for the second season to start up next year :). It’s incredibly disturbing but I’m still obsessed with it regardless.
I LOVE Hannibal! I can’t wait until it comes back on. I wonder if they’re going to follow the books or not–either way it’ll be interesting. I was really sad when he killed Abigail. But I just love his character–that in the end, he’s concerned with himself, no one else.

Apparently season 4 (yes they have planned that far in advance!) is going to be based on the book Red Dragon. Although those of us who are familiar with the books will realize that Will Graham did not have a relationship with Hannibal prior to the start of Red Dragon. And there is a few things in season one that were taken from Red Dragon, so they are kinda changing things around to flow with their interpretation of the story. Also, they don’t have the rights to the Clarice Starling character and they are working on getting them because they want her in future seasons. How cool would that be?! They’ve already taken the character of Will Graham so far in only one season that I can only imagine what they will do (hopefully) with Clarice. Yes, I said I was obsessed haha :D.
The honeymoon was fantastic, thank you!!! Both sad and happy to be back to real life now.
P.S. I was sad when he killed Abigail too. I felt like he was at his most “human” when he was with her, because it was like he saw himself in her, almost as if she was his serial killer daughter of sorts.
It’ll be tough finding someone who could match up to Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore–I loved them both. But it’d be cool if they went the opposite way with Clarice (I know she’s a “rube” as Hannibal would say, and that she’s from a small town), but it would be neat if they picked an asian or black actress to play as her. But, then again, the fact that she IS an attractive white woman is part of the issues that she has with the FBI—and that pervert who tried to sleep with her, but when she refused he basically ruined her career, his name was Paul something….I can’t remember.
And I read a LOT of fanfiction—you wouldn’t believe how many “murder family” stories there are–with Hannibal and Will as the parents, and Abigail their adopted daughter. I swear–I read so many (gay) Hannibal/Will fanfictions that I have a little trouble separating the fanfiction from the show!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Mads! I grew up in Denmark and I have seen a lot of his movies, and they are all great. My favorite is “Adam’s Apples”.. you should seriously watch it. He’s definitely one of the most talented Danish actors.

Another Hannibal fan here ladies! Finished watching season 1 a short while back. Love the show, can’t believe we have to wait til April next year for it. Hugh’s character grew on me, felt so sorry for him when he got framed and ended up hating Hannibal. I suppose you could say Abigail bought out Hannibal’s vulnerable side. Do you guys think Dr Du Maurier knows about his penchant for eating people?

I studied art history, and when I saw the painting,I reminded myself at one point, all the famous portraits we know of today were once modern, fresh, and a style never really seen, if not at least what was trendy at the time. So when we see portraits (Kate’s, this family) it’s weird because we compare to the classic works we’ve seen before. It’s modern, but it definitely has the dark look of baroque and some romantic work- highlights from light, but pretty dark. I kind of like it.

Is anyone else chomping at the bit for “Hannibal” to come back?? (Word on the street last time I checked a few months ago is that it will return sometime in February 😁)
I just got season 1 on DVD and I freaked! It’s filled with never aired bonus episodes, a lot of un-aired scenes, and some too dark for network tv stuff-eek. Also, because I was always switching back and forth between it and another show-I can’t remember which at this point-on the night it aired, I missed a lot of subtle nuances and info that make all the difference 🙂
P.S. I don’t think of him AT ALL in terms of “hitting it” (I just have too much respect for him as a professional and actor), but the Viggo Mortensen is SO strong in that grey t-shirt pic that’s it’s kind of messing with my mind so…I’m not so sure.
